"Circe use Flamethro-" Tyler tried to command but the sneak attack had come up far too quickly, his hands clamping over his ears at the terrible, if individually weak sound amplified by their mass. Circe did her best to attack but she was overwhelmed, trying to block out the sound (despite resisting it she couldn't be fine with 16 on 1). Poor infant Shelly in her carrysack on Tyler's chest was terrified at the sounds and pain, something new for her, and burst into tears before reacting reflexively; a horde of small icy daggers launching from her shell: Icicle Spear!
At the same time as Ty fell to his knees in pain, one of the Pokeball's on his belt stirred and snapped open, releasing a towering hulk in front of it's trainer.
"Ferro-thorn!" Titan thundered, even on mass the puny special attacks doing hardly a thing to his huge special defence. Raising a spiked vine/tendril, Titan used Power Whip on a mass of the Karrablast in defense of it's trainer!
Shelly used Icicle Spear, and due to her ability Skill Link this move will hit 5 times in a row! =3

Five Karrablast taken out by the Shellder and four taken out by Ferrothorn left seven of the little pests to jump at Ferrothorn and try to attack with Peck attack! The nine downed Pokemon all stirred; they weren't completely out of this fray.

Don't think you tiny ones can hope to harm me! Titan growled, using Iron Defence to double his already large defence to counter the en-mass Peck-attacks. With Tyler still down he was running on his own, swatting at the Karrablast swarm with Power Whip once more.
Staggering back to her feet Circe grimaced, glaring at the recovering Karrablast already getting back up likely to attack once more, something she couldn't allow.
Attacking us was a stupid move the Vulpix snarled, unleashing a mass of flame towards the Karrablast that were recovering: the powerful but ever inaccurate Inferno!
"Shhhh, shhh it's okay, we're okay....." Ty cooed gently, hugging Shelly tight who was bawling her eyes out, very upset. His head felt like it had been struck by a club but apart from that he was ok, just exhausted and weakened after they seemed to be the target of Bug Buzz.... know he know how his Pokemon felt in battle.
If Inferno hits, but the opponent does not faint, they will be garunteed to be burned |

The nine Karrablast that were the targets of the Inferno attack each took damage and eventually fainted from the great fire-type move. The seven Pokemon that had attack Ferrothorn were each swatted away by Power Whip - but they weren't out yet. Things were looking bad for them, so they turned to plan be... Bug Buzz again! The killer sound wave was emitted again! Thanks to their positions after the Power Whip thrashing, the Karrablast had Tyler's entire camp surrounded. The sounds would be coming in from each direction.

Titan moved to weather the attacks as best he could, but as they were surronded he could not simply defend his trainer with his hulking body directly, there were too many areas that could not be covered.
"Take them out, f-fast!" Ty croaked, Shelly bawling her eyes out in fear and pain of being attacked again, and Ty himself not faring much better: the sound was horrible and he felt like any more and his ears would start bleeding.
'Vul-pix!' Circe growled, leaping at a Karrablast despite the pain and delivering a harsh Quick Attack, before whirling on another and using Flame Burst, a move that would cause damage to any other Karrablast close to the target.
With Circe distracting a fair portion of the Karrablast on one side, Titan was able to reposition and block most of the Bug Buzz sound waves from hitting Tyler and Shelly. Angling himself and using his pathetic Special Attack stat, Titan launched a Flash Cannon with the intent to at least give the offending Pokemon something else to worry about.
'VUL!' Circe suddenly snarled, very loudly and aggressively: Roar! Fed up with how many there were, she was now finally attempting to just scare any ones that had yet to be downed away and leave the group in peace, intact.

One Karrablast was taken out by Quick Attack; another by Flame Burst; another by Flash Cannon. The remaining four were scared off by the Roar attack and left behind their brethren - twelve downed Karrablast for the taking.

"N-Nice work guys..... everyone ok? S-Shelly, hush, shhh shhh it's ok, they're gone now, don't cry...." Ty told her gently, cradling the bawling Shellder who was very upset at being attacked, not once, but twice! Everyone else was more or less fine, but Shelly was quite emotionally upset, all thanks to those Karrablast.
Speaking of those Karrablast, about twelve were now littered around fainted and able to be caught. Frowning, Tyler produced two empty Pokeballs and threw them, allowing two Karrablast to be drawn inside to duke it out with whatever energy that have left. While that went on Ty sat down with Shelly, cradling her gently and consoling her.
"You two, you did really good. Circe, a Potion'll fix you up, and Titan.... Ingrain" Ty smirked, giving Circe a Potion to restore her health while Titan used Ingrain, extending his roots into the ground to restore his own health over a long period. While they were resting the fainted Karrablast were all around, but hopefully that wouldn't scare off any other Pokemon.... after all, the adventure wouldn't end just like that, would it?

Woo Woo Woo Woo DING! went the Pokeballs as Tyler succedded in capturing two of the swarm. The rest could stay where they fell, annoying buggers. After a few moments he began to hum a little lullaby tune he'd picked up from TV, consoling his still upset Shellder until she began to settle and go quiet again, closing up in her carrysack/pouch and taking a nap. Lucky for Ty, since he wasn't sure he could deal with her bawling the entire trip back to the dorms.
"Guess we'd better head on home guys, Shelly has had enough for today" Ty decided, watching Shelly try to nap but still too upset; kind of waking up and dozing off intermittently. Titan was still raring to go but with a roll of her eyes Circe wound him down and told him to cool it, rather than cause issues and guilt for Ty. And thus the merry band headed back home...
