Name: Sandra Laura Silver
Age: 25
Appearance: Picture
Personality:
Well, now, this young lady is one heck of a teacher. When you first meet her, which would most likely be in the classroom, changes are you will find a cold, observant stare and a voice sharper than ice. When in front of a crowd she expects people to be perfect, and everyone to pay attention in her class. Her class tends to be relatively well behaved, considering she carries a riding crop behind her back with her left hand and in not afraid to give your hand a smack. A hard one. She speaks, in class, directly, tending to switch from person to person to talk to, instead of the whole class as a whole, making it seem like she’s talking to you for part of her lecture, if you’re in front at least. She gives away little emotion other than slight irritation at failures and makes it quite clear she has no favorites.
When giving privet tutoring, however, it is a different story. When you’re all alone with her, she loosens up more, smiling at successes and giving light chuckles at complete failures. She’ll give gentle advice, and a kind guiding hand, though she’ll still keep her distance and keep her words to the point. After all, she doesn’t have two different personalities. She just chooses not to show hers while in front of a class. In fact, if you are having trouble in class she will demand you see her for special help, just so she can give you they help you need and not embarrass you in front of your friends. Even though she will yell it at you like you just failed her class and are getting detention.
Basically, she could be called a strict teacher, a nice person, and really, really, distant. When teaching she hides her personality as to teach better, though she does love her riding crop, and to have power over her class. Though she tries to suppress it, she does not like being not in control when it comes to people below her in rank. If they are below her, they are her responsibility, and to keep them safe, she needs to have them under control. She is also utterly obsessed with cooking, having caught her elemental monkeys just to help her with it.
Sandra also has no trouble holding a grudge. You, say, make one of her ovens explode out of spite, and she will make sure your life sucks for the next five years. She is also no one for being close, being afraid if she does that she won’t be able to move on when she needs to, not being the type to stay in one place long, other than the Academy, and that’s only because she gets to teach cooking, the only thing she can manage to stay still for.
If you find her out of the classroom you will most likely find someone that’s in the middle of her teaching a group self and her tutoring self. She will be colder, slightly out of it, and if anything, act a lot like a Pokémon that’s used to humans with her personality. In other words, she’ll talk, and stuff, but shift uncomfortably, and look like she wishes she was anywhere else.
Likes: Cooking, traveling, Pokémon, well-behaved students, good cooks, teaching
Dislikes: Misbehaving students, people that don’t try, staying in one place to long, eating bad food, un-distancing herself from someone
History:
Now, Sandra was born to a happy little family of chefs in Driftville. It was a rather happy, and by the time she was five, she had four siblings, two older, to young. She was the middle child. Her older brother, 2 years older than her, was heir to the shop, which was well known in the region vas one of the best, though he cared little about cooking. Her father was strict and controlling, his kitchen always being in perfect order, but her mother was gentler, much more ready for an encouraging word, or friendly smile. Sandra slowly became a mix of them both, her father when teaching, or with those below her, and her mother when one on one, though having spend most of her time in the kitchen, he father affected her more. And she was relatively happy for around 10 years of living. However, that all changed when her kitchen time got cut. You see, even when she was ten she loved to cook, only when she brought home one bad grade from school, a c on a test, it was limited. The little girl freaked, and ran away.
Luckily for her, when she woke up on the grass the next day she had one Ralts on each side of her head, in other words, two. One was male, and one was female. And they both held great potential, not that she knew that then. They ended up great friends by the end of the day. And that brought up the question of what she had brought with her. When she ran away she had brought a whole lot of money, some potions, and 6 pokeballs. No Pokémon, however. Sandra went to sleep thinking about it. The next morning, she asked them, and they agreed full heartedly. As she got to know them, their personalities became quite evident. The female, whom she named Sarah, it seemed to fit her and Sarah liked it, was a gentle creature, caring and moving at her own pace, though she did have a nasty side if instigated, which she couldn’t control. She also was quite good are sarcasm. Her brother was a different matter. He was much braver than the average Ralts, loving to explore and find out new things. He tends to be rather shy around female Pokémon though, as long as their friendly. If you’re rude, well, he’ll be just as happy to lunge at you, having quite the temper. Because he seemed to want to evolve into a Gallede, she named him Sword.
With them telling her what was safe to eat and what wasn’t, though with time she got quite good at it, she stayed away from any human society for a good 2 years, until finally, on her 12th birthday, she remembered her money, and decided to go by something to start a form, that way she could cook again, that was the only thing she missed, having made a little house in the middle of nowhere. By then Sarah had evolved into a Kirlia. Sarah came with her to the second closest town to buy what was needed. So she had her own little farm, a oven, and a bed.
The next year she chose to go looking for the Pokémon given to all cooks in her family by their 15th birthday. She figured, sure it was early, but by the time she found them all, she might be 15. Sarah stayed behind to take care of the small farm, and cook, at which she was almost as good at as Sandra, who, having been taught by one of the best for the first ten years of her life, and then experimenting for the next 3 given she had nothing else to do was ridiculously good for her age, and had once sold some of her food for money. Over the next two hears she traveled. On her second week she caught herself a Pansear, who turned out to also love cooking. He was a happy fellow, a little clumsy, but always happy and ready for a laugh. Rather lazy though. She named him Flame. A year later, she caught Bush, a Pansage with a pessimistic outlook on life, quite the opposite of Flame. In fact, the only thing they had in common was that they were both lazy. However, Bush was a better cook than Flame. And then, a day before her 15th birthday, with Sword a Kirlia now and her Pansear and Pansage, she found a Panpour, a active young girl with a big heart and a little too much energy. However, not being as clumsy as Flame, young River did just fine.
They returned home two weeks later to find a newly evolved Gardavoir holding five birthday presents. Seemed the Psychic Pokémon had used her knew found abilities to find out where she could find the four evolutionary stones needed to evolve her other Pokémon. Also, Sarah had run across a lonely, just hatched Shuckle on her journey to get the stones. It had followed her home. Not having the heart to turn it away, Sandra caught it, figuring it could also help her cook by making berry juices. However, having gotten used to wandering, she left a few days later with just a cooker, some food, and some money to wander some more. She returned about three times a year for a few weeks at a time until she was 18, wandering to work on her cooking by asking the few humans she saw, and all was good until one day she wandered into the wrong town at the wrong time. It was far from Driftville, but someone who knew her father worked there, and told her father about it while she was there. They where there so fast she had only been there 2 hours by the time she was suddenly tackled by her mother, yelled at by her father, and dragged home. That was how she discovered just how unused to people she was.
She freaked out, panicked, and if she hadn’t been held by her father AND mother, she would have torn free and fled the area. She just wasn’t used to being that close to more than 1 person at a time, and her whole family, who she hadn’t seen in 8 years, was a little too much. She then ended up in a hospital alone with her older sister, she from passing out from lack of air, her sister from getting attacked by Sword, her only Pokémon out at the time. She did feel lucky she had brought all her Pokémon with her this time though. Slowly, over the period of a year, she got more used to people, but she couldn’t help feeling cornered when in a large group. Once, when she was put in front of a bunch of new employees at her father’s shop and told to teach them to cook a basic soup. Her family had caught on to her cooking ability that was better than her older brothers. And she found the moment she started teaching, just like her father would have, all odd feelings disappeared. She continued to do that for two years, til she was 21, when staying in one place finally got too much for her, and she upped and left for a month, freaking her family out again. Finally realizing they couldn’t keep her in one place, they suggested she go teach at the Pokémon Academy, and she finally agreed after a year of being pushed and three more random month long trips. She got the job as cooking teacher and has been doing so ever since, only leaving for once and a while two day long trips.
