"Ragh!"
A shout let loose as the splintering of wood against metal could be heard. Another one came out, the fist making a small indent on the bark as the pieces of wood were chipped off by straight punches.
"Toxicroak!"
The Toxicroak said as it showed his trainer how to properly throw a punch. Readying himself, Jubei got into a quick stance before smashing his fist on the tree, a mark on it could be seen, much more clear than the accumulated amount that Laz had.
"Fine..."
Laz grumbled as he readied his fist again. Imitating the style his Toxicroak had used before going at it again. His gloves were really the only things sparing him from having a bunch of bloody knuckles as he kept hitting it repeatedly.
This sort of routine continued, Laz's Toxicroak being a 'Ninja' had wanted to teach his feudal lord on how to properly fight. He himself knew he wouldn't always be there to protect him and so, he decided to teach Laz how to fight.
"Gimme a breather, Jubei."
Laz said as he fell on the grassy ground, the dead weeds saving his fall as he felt the sweat sticking to his shirt which was now sticking to him. It felt great, getting all this exercise and all, but sometimes, going too far would be a bad thing.

A lonely Illumise floated through the forest air, looking all around for her friend, Mr. Volbeat. Sadly, to no extent of her efforts could she locate him. Finally exhausting all of her personal resources, she decided to seek help elsewhere. Spotting a Pokemon and its trainer, she heads down to speak a spell and see if her friend has passed by. Mise! Have you seen a Volbeat recently? she asked the Toxicroack.

<"Master, I have spotted an intruder! Shall I go dispose of the filth?">
The Toxicroak whispered to his trainer, his entire body already tensing up in case a fight broke out. It was even preparing itself to let out the Big Guns on the get-go to make sure the fight ended quickly so his Master could go back to training.
"Leave it be, Himura. You only have permission to attack if it goes on the offensive first."
Laz ordered as the Ninja Toxicroak nodded his head but kept a stern posture when the Illumise came closer and closer. Laz was pretty sure that the Toxicroak he had was saying something along the lines of an intruder, he only really whispered in such hush tones when it was like that.
"<No, neither I nor my Master have seen your friend.>"
The Toxicroak responded, somewhat stoic as he kept a tense stance still. Over-protective Ninja, isn't he?

Well then, would you help me look for him? she asked the Toxicroack and its trainer. The help would be greatly appreciated. She was about to wait for him to answer her question, but a moving something in the bushes captured her attention.
A wild Tangela came running out of the thicket, frantic and waving its vines all over the place like a mad man. Tangela! Come quick, come quick, come quick! It then ran back into the thicket, soon followed by the female bug Pokemon.
Options: a. ignore them. b. follow them.

"Go follow it, Himura. I'll follow in a bit."
Laz said as he sat up from his position, giving his Toxicroak permission to go do his Act of Random Kindness. His Toxicroak brightened up after that, bowing generously as he sped after the Tangela, wishing to help his fellow pokemon in their time of need.
Standing up, the trainer cracked his knuckles and stretched a bit, raring to go after his pokemon in case something would happen to it, regardless of the fact that he knew his pokemon was capable.
After his little routine, the red head dashed after his pokemon, wanting to know where they were going and what was actually happening now that he was paying more attention.

The two forest dwellers raced, Illumise right behind Tangela. The trainer's Toxicroak wasn't far behind either. Tangela jumped over a root and Illumise dodge a low branch, trying to get to whatever it was that had Tangela all worked up. As they got closer, though, clear and audible cries could be heard.
Stuck in a hole in a giant tree's trunk was the plump rump of Volbeat. This was Illumise's friend that she'd been looking for! She flew up high and tried to pull him out, but just could not get a good grip. It's no use! Volbeat said. They were about 18 feet up - too tall for Tangela to try to help out; that's why he'd gone looking for reinforcements.

"So this was the problem?"
Laz asked to his Toxicroak who nodded solemnly as he too looked up to see the Volbeat stuck in a tree. Faintly, it was reminiscent of a yellow bear who wanted honey.
The journey to the place wasn't long, rather it was short and just overly littered around with junk and roots that would more or less make anyone prone to tripping.
Thinking about it, Laz looked at the height of the tree. He didn't have any flying pokemon with him, hell he doubted any of his flying pokemon could help the thing down without hurting it. Allowing Kostya to appear, Laz thought of a few instructions.
"Kostya, float up the tree and see if you can help the Volbeat out. Himura, I want you to try and use whatever means you can to get to the Volbeat and help him."
Laz ordered and both his pokemon nodded. Floating up, Kostya headed for the Volbeat as the Toxicroak used its limbs to try and scale the long hanging branches and make his way up.

Through your powers combined, I am Captain Planet! the Volbeat is saved! Finally freed, the Volbeat celebrates with his two friends by romping around on the ground. They all play around for a second before remembering who it was that made this all possible.
Vol! Thank you! The three gathered at Laz's feet, looking up at him and waving before all turning around. The two bug types would float through the air, aiming to fly off somewhere while Tangela remained on the ground, about to walk off into the forest in search of berries.

"Well, we got to help them at least."
Laz said with a small smile to his Toxicroak who raised his hand to get a good pat on his trainers shoulder but missed and instead hit his waist. The Toxicroaks eyes widening in fear at hurting his master, ignoring the falling pokeball as it cracked in the ground and Leila the Natu came out, speeding directly towards the Tangela even without knowing.
It looked like it was having a bad dream and was fluttering around without knowing, even looking like it was about to Tackle the Tangela without warning.

Tangela turned around at the last second, feeling the sensation of impending doom. It turned around, only to be blasted by the Tackle attack and went spiraling sideways into a tree trunk. It fell to the ground, out like a light. The element of surprise sure was effective.
The two bugs would begin to fly back down beside their downed friend. Mise! Mise! Why would you do that? she asked of the trainer, wondering the one who'd just helped was now the one hurting. Volbeat took a defensive stance - obviously this human couldn't be trusted. A simple misplaced high-five had brought all of this tension about.

"Wha? Wait! No! I'm not trying to do anything!"
Laz said as he saw the Volbeat suddenly take a fighting stance. He had just raised his hands into the air. He wasn't even ordering his pokemon to fight! He was about to take Leila's pokeball to return her but he didn't think that it would probably provoke the enemies.
Already, his Natu, feeling the danger around him had squawked and sat on the Tangela's fallen body, keeping it occupied and guarding it before sending a Psychic at the Volbeat.
Turning around, Himura the Toxicroak had hastily thought that the Volbeat and Illumise would try to take away one of his Master's victorious captures away. Snatching a pokeball from his Master's person, the Toxicroak through the Pokeball at the Tangela and guarded it from the Volbeat and Illumise, taking an offensive stance in case one of them dared to attack.

Tangela sat knocked out cold. It didn't even know that the cuckoo bird that knocked it out was now perched atop its sleeping body.
Volbeat was sent flying forward after feeling an almost unnatural force (the Psychic attack) pushing it forward. He wasn't out yet, but needed to recover. That left only Illumise to defend Tangela's dead weight. As a Pokeball came flying toward her friend, she cried out. Illumise! Mise! She jumped in front of the projectile to spare her friend and found herself being sucked into the sphere.
The ball fell to the ground. Volbeat was wide-eyed. It wriggled around frantically; then finally it was still. She hadn't been strong enough to free herself.

<"Keep guard. Send out another Psychic and I'll get in close and personal.">
Himura ordered the Natu, Leila, who followed without fail. Too into the battle to hear the pleas from her Trainer who was running towards her. The green bird had closed her eyes once more before opening them up, releasing another wave of Psychic at the opponent, the Volbeat being her target.
On the way there, Himura had skipped around a few rocks, hopping over a branch and locked eyes with the Volbeat. Getting into a battle stance, the Toxicroak had readied himself, malice in his fists as he wanted revenge and to prove his superiority against this beast that wished to bring pain on to his Trainer.
<"You shall be caught! Today!">
Was his battle cry as he lunged at the Volbeat with a Poison Jab. His fist oozing poison as he leapt into the air and aimed straight for the Volbeats face.

Tangela woke up! Just after the Natu fired off its second Psychic attack. The Pokemon would open its big, bright eyes to see a Pokemon perched atop it. Tangela! Vine Whip was used to try to get the mini bird off of it.
Volbeat wouldn't fall for the same trick twice. This time, it jumped through the center of a psychotically charged ring; it had dodged pain by the skin on its wings. Turning around as it heard Toxicroak's battle cry, Volbeat was caught in the chin by the Poison Jab. It was sent flying back, holding onto its new sore spot. A whimper was heard before Volbeat opened its mouth and blew out a Signal Beam, straight for the hostile Pokemon.

<"Wha--!">
Leila stuttered as she was whipped with Vine Whip. The attack connected and a critical hit was made, damaging one of Leila's wings. Being sent to the ground in a crumpled heap, the Natu tried to fight back. She tried to muster up whatever power she had left and instead of focusing on thing that just bitch slapped her with a VINE, she sent the Psychic towards the Volbeat, wanting to help Himura finish the enemy off, knowing that he would be strong against the opponent.
<"Leila!">
Himura shouted, enraged at his fallen comrade but he knew better than to run to her side and make sure she was okay. He saw the attack and he knew what it meant. The Toxicroak turned around again and raised his arms and released Venoshock against the Signal Beam. The attack tearing through it but disappearing as the clash ended.
Farther, the Toxicroak went. He would never let this kind of hurt be done on his friends and let the precursor to it all be left unjustified. He reared his arm back, readying himself for a full out Poison Jab. Unleashing all of his power into this blow, the Toxicroak timed it before using Poison Jab, aimed directly at the Volbeats face.
"LEILA!"
Laz shouted. He saw red. Kostya felt it. No words were exchanged.
The Ghost flew as fast as it could, his energy multiplying at the amount of anger he could feel. His body emanated a dark glow as once he reached the Tangela, he would use Dark Pulse. The Dark Pulse would be able to cover much space and hurt more than hell. Kostya wasn't giving this son of a bitch a chance to fight back.
Before the using of Dark Pulse though, the Gengar would look straight at the opponents eyes and use Mean Look. Wanting to paralyze it in fear and stop it from being able to run away. Ever.

Tangela hopped up after getting the blasted bird off of him. He was preparing to go help his friend when a sudden shadow scared the hell out of it. He closed his eyes tight out of fear, avoiding the binding hold of Mean Look. But closing his eyes didn't save him from Dark Pulse; Tangela was sent blasting off thanks to the attack. It would fall down back to the ground somewhere deep in the depths of Luscious Forest. You could go looking for it, but it won't be easy to find.
Volbeat's attack hadn't reached the mark, huh? This time, he had his eyes fixated on the enemy and thinking of a new strategy to use when the foe came flying at him again with intent to knock his lights out. Volbeat crossed his arms in front of his face and as his tail light began to glow, Protect was used! No damage taken. You mad?

<"You're not getting away.">
Kostya sneered as he sped off towards the Tangela, knowing that he could take care of himself. Even if he couldn't he knew his Trainer was smart enough to send back-up if needed. His hands already prepared with a deadly Shadow Ball, two of them in fact.
Himura on the hand was not deterred from the Protect. Using the time frame he had, the Toxicroak used Nasty Plot. Right in front of the Volbeat. Increasing his special attack to a terrifying degree before sending another Venoshock at it.
Laz held up Leila's pokeball and returned her, his teeth gnashed together in anger and madness. Releasing his Luxray, the Trainer sent it to stalk the area, taking good care of looking at everything before looking around some more, acting as the Sentry since Kostya was too busy hunting down the Tangela.

ooc- i'm going to roll a four-sided dice; you roll one too. if we land on the same number, then you can find the Tangela. if you don't, it stays lost. you've got a 25% chance of finding a Pokemon who was sent blasting off into the forest - i think that's fair.
[dice=4]
Volbeat didn't stand a chance. Fainted Pokemon.
ooc- dude, you give like no commands. its getting kind of ridiculous that your Pokemon are this powerful and self-sufficient on their own. chill out.

OOC: Sure, I'll tone it down and yeah, the Tangela thing seems fair.
[dice=4] If I get a 3, I get to meet up with the Tangela.

"C'mon! Freiya! Go after the Tangela! Himura! Keep an eye out and protect the Volbeat in case this capture doesn't work."
Laz ordered as he began running through the halls of the grassy forest and tried to find a good distance where his voice could carry over to where ever his Gengar was but not before throwing a pokeball at the fainted Volbeat, wanting to catch it now and get it sent to the ranch so that the Illumise could have a familiar face to befriend.
Finally managing to get it across, Laz found where his Gengar was and saw that Kostya managed to catch up with the flung Tangela. "Keep your guard up, Kostya. Get ready to attack in case it's only faking."

Tangela was down for the count this go round. (Assuming you're going to go for the catch, I'll post the info now.)
Tangela | Male | Leaf Guard | Jolly
Volbeat | Male | Illuminate | Brave
*note - none of the Pokemon captured today particularly like Laz or the way he obtained them. it will require work and training to make them respect him. as it stands, all three are belligerent.

"And another one bites the dust."
Laz said, a somewhat pissed off look on his face as he caught the Tangela. The dinging of the pokeball had more or less stopped already and everything became silent. Gathering the pokemon and sending all of his new captures back to his PC, reminding himself to let them loose in the ranch to cool their heads, the red head looked at the area.
"C'mon, nothing seems to be of interest now and we still need to get Leila patched up."
Laz said with a scowl as his pokemon all obeyed him. Kicking up the dust, the group had retreated back to civilization.
