<"How are the others, Konstantine?">
A rough and growl-ish voice spoke up from its depths. The voice reflected as menacing, cold and destructive rather than what it actually wanted to show; concern and worry being the objects of reference.
The person or rather, the pokemon being addressed had been standing still for the past half hour of their break. The gas like body staying compact to form the shape of a menacing Gengar, his perpetual grin eerily gone from his face and replaced by a domineering scowl.
The narrowed red eyes showing much burden in them as his mind raced for answers, possible things to come up with, anything to occupy his mind from recurring nightmares.
Both the Houndoom and Gengar knew that they needed to fight something. They just needed a way to relieve some pent up stress, the usual way of being destroying something near them, being innately violent and all. Despite the usual cheery and respectful and well guarded nature of the two, it gets difficult to control all of your instincts all the time.
<"They are fine, Vulcan.">
The Gengar answered, a curt nod of his head towards the dark and fire pokemon who was stalking around the reaches of a particular rock where their trainer was sitting. Hopefully there was something they could fight around the corner or something.

Within a moment, three Pokemon stood before Laz, each of them looking like they were ready to fight. Why they were suddenly so interested in fighting was unknown, but here they were. There were two more hiding in the shadows, doing a rather bad job of being stealthy. For whatever reason, they were choosing not to show themselves. And they were far enough away to make it impossible to tell who or what they were...just they were hiding and probably watching from far away.

"Took them long enough."
Laz smirked as he tightened the fitting of his Black Cap and adjusted his Silver Choker to get his breathing set right. Pulling on his black jacket and fixing it, making sure the white undershirt he had wasn't completely sealed. Walking forward, the red head tore two more pokeballs from his belt and raised them in his palm.
"Guess we'll go with 1 on 1."
Laz said, an understanding that the Gigalith would go first since it was apparently the first one in the random line-up nature had decided to throw at him this time around. Getting itchy for a fight, the Gengar sped forward, presenting himself as the first Duelist.
It flared itself up and was getting ready for the opponent and only waiting for said opponent to stand on the arena so the battle would commence. If this thing didn't move, by the gods Kostya would just break it into small pieces before chucking them down the river to let some Magikarp eat it.

(Insert epic boss music)
The Gigalith nodded, stepping up. Glancing at the opponent briefly, it smirked...or at least it would have if it had a mouth. The large Rock-type began the battle. Multiple stones grew from its body, were immediately sent flying toward the Gengar in a punishing barrage. The other Pokemon watched on, confident that there was no way the red-haired trainer could win.

"Win."
Was Laz's only order. Even then, it was already painfully obvious that Kostya would do his best to do so. The Gengar stared down the Gigalith, Kostya's posture one that emanated confidence as it did so. Readying himself for whatever move the opponent was going to use.
The tension in the air began and Kostya kept a good eye on what was going to happen. The sudden shifting of the rocks and them launching was something counted as an attack. It was Stone Edge. Having seen his teammate, Rapture The Aggron, use it, Kostya had a grasp of how it went.
Placing his hands together and gathering energy, the Gengar rushed forward and expelled an enormous amount of Dark-Type energy. The attack spread in a three hundred sixty degree direction and kept expanding. The Stone Edge attack had been more or less nullified by the Dark Pulse. Only bits and pieces were left scattering around the place, harmlessly hitting the ground.
The Gengar, after an overly quick analysis of the situation sent ripples in the air and towards the very slow looking Gigalith. Hypnosis was the attack and Kostya was dead set on sending it to a long sleep.

As cocky and sure of themselves as they were before, the arrogance of the Pokemon didn't last very long. Within seconds, the Gigalith found himself putting up as much resistance to the Hypnosis as Pokemon-ly possible...and failing miserably. As such, the Rock-type was now sound asleep, and wide open for attack.

<"This...is gonna be fun.">
Kostya announced. More to himself actually, not really caring if the others heard him. Readying himself for a painful attack, Kostya breathed in and out, calming himself before using Dream Eater. A red aura would begin from the Gengar's hands before quickly taking off at an unnerving speed and would attempt to lash around the head of the Gigalith, slowly but surely damaging it greatly and absorbing energy to return to the attacker.
After Dream Eater finished, the Gengar would bring his hands together and use Nightmare, placing a series of horrific events that would deal damage whilst the opponent stayed asleep, enough that it might even faint within a few turns. The Nightmare would continue so long as the enemy was still trapped within the sleep induced by Hypnosis.
This was when Kostya wanted to experiment. Pacing himself, far enough that his attack would practically have a nil chance of missing, the Gengar readied his fist. An Awesome Power glowing within it. Focusing as much Ki as he can, Kostya then punched towards the Gigalith, a massive blast erupted from it as Focus Blast went into play, heading straight for the Gigaliths face. If it hits, then shit, it's gonna hurt like a bitch.

Yeah...the Gigalith was pretty much destroyed. If the Dream Eater didn't take it out immediately, the Focus Blast definitely finished it off. The other two Pokemon watched on, completely shocked. As the Gigalith fell, the Scolipede stepped up, ready to battle. However, for somewhat obvious reasons, he seemed to be somewhat dreading the idea. Still, he wasn't about to back down.

"That fast?"
Laz asked in bewilderment as he saw the Gigalith fall in a couple of moves. The only thing the opponent even got to do was shove out some rocks that didn't even hit the Gengar. As it was, what happened just wasn't enough training for the Gengar. The Gengar returned to his master's side, thinking if he was to go again or not.
Scolipedes weren't that much of a threat, specially if it was just like the Gigalith, Laz was sure that Kostya would be able to take it down. "You wanna go up again?" Laz asked Kostya who eagerly nodded his head, mumbling something about the Gigalith not being challenging enough. This time, the Gengar nodded and moved forward. An unspoken signal that it was his turn to start the fight since the Scolipede's friend started the last one.
With the battle about to start, Laz gave out his orders.
"Go with Confuse Ray then follow up with a Shadow Ball. Don't get close to it."
The red head announced as the Gengar quickly followed. Confusingly waving his arms around as hypnotic rings appeared, threatening to send the Scolipede in a daze and possibly hurt itself in confusion should it be affected by it. Speeding to the side, the Gengar only allowed his feet to momentarily touch the floor, giving him a small boost in changing direction. From where he sped to the left, the Gengar had quickly bolted back to the right before shooting out a Shadow Ball from his hands, aimed right at the chest of the Scolipede.

(too lazy to switch accounts)
The Scolipede was helpless against the onslaught of attacks, though it wasn't taken down immediately, since it wasn't hit with a powerful Psychic attack followed by an even more powerful Super-effective attack. Still, it wasn't in a very good shape either, what with it being confused and at a type-disadvantage. It began to charge toward the Gengar, but it tripped over its own feet and landed face-first, injuring itself in the process.

"Don't bother with hollow attacks. Shadow Assault!"
Laz commanded, his voice heavy with a flourish of sovereignty as his Gengar quickly followed the given command. Kostya nodded as he didn't give the opponent any spare time even with that sadistic megahorn hitting itself in the face, tripping and smashing its face on the floor.
Kostya would have hurt himself in confusion.
Regardless, charging himself for the attack, which was pretty simple if you thought about it. Gathering energy, the Gengar raised his hands and readied a Shadow Ball with them. With the Scolipede open for an attack, the Gengar aimed and in quick succession fired a Shadow Ball before firing another one and finishing the entire combo with another Shadow Ball.
In a straight direction, the three shadow balls flew towards the downed Scolipede, pretty much dead set on really fainting it so the Toxicroak would finally get an idea and step up for the fight.

Its thoughts were too muddled to make any effort to avoid the the barrage of Shadow Balls. The Scolipede lasted only slightly longer than the Gigalith did. Finally, the two Pokemon who had been hiding revealed themselves...and one of them...started yelling?
"Hey! Come on guys! You're supposed to kick his ass and take his stuff! Not stand there like retards and let him kick the crap out of you!"
"Yeah! What's the matter with you losers?!"
Indeed, it was a Thoh and a Sawk, and yes, they were talking. Though it was extremely rare, there are cases of Pokemon who, through countless hours of exhausting training, have managed to teach themselves to speak. These two were examples of such Pokemon. Either way, it was pretty much obvious as to why the three Pokemon who approached Laz were suddenly so eager to battle. Of course, it was just as obvious that they had vastly underestimated their target.
Either, the Toxicroak was shaking with fear as it watched the other two get effortlessly taken down. Thus, he decided there only one thing to do at this point...run like little bitch!
"D-dude! What the hell?!"
"That's it! We are so not hooking you up with the Infernape that has the sexy ass!...hell, I might go after her myself."
"You sure about that, bro? I heard she's into Grass-types. I saw her eyeballing this Serperior the other day?"
"Seriously?!...wait, is it the Serperior that lives near that group of trees that looks like they're doing the YMCA?"
"Yeah, I think so"
"...dude...that Serperior is totally a chick..."
"...wait...really?...dude, that's kinda hot"
"I know right?"

"And...they're gone."
Laz commented, an irritated tick mark on his temple as he tried to stave off some destruction when he saw the very people who challenged him had the gall to run away. It reminded him of some pathetic trainer that couldn't do shit with his war-squad whatever.
It wasn't anything important, fighting those two wouldn't even get Kostya any training done. With a twist of his black cap, the red head turned around and marched his way back to anywhere that could have had any other opponents that won't just bloody run the fuck when they start losing.

The Sawk and Throh were too enthralled with their fantasies of hot Infernape-on-Serperior action, and therefore didn't even notice Laz until it was too late to pursue him. However, Laz and his Gengar wouldn't make it very far, before being faced with another, potentially more challenging group of opponents. It was a group of five Bisharp, though each was wearing a different-colored scare. One red, one blue, one green, one yellow, and the last one pink. The red-scarfed Bisharp spoke out, speaking in its own language...at the very least, Laz's Gengar would know what they were saying <You foul human! We saw the way you terrorized those innocent Pokemon just now!!> Apparently, they missed the part with those "innocent" Pokemon started the fight. <We shall not allow this injustice to go unpunished!><Kirikizan Pink! Ready!><Kirikizan Yellow! Ready!> <Kirikizan Blue! Ready!><Kirikizan Green! Ready!><Kirikizan Red! Ready! Together, we are the...>< KIRIKIZAN FIVE!!> ...yeah. Have fun with that.

<"Laz...they totally got the situation wrong.">
Kostya announced telepathically towards his trainer as a sweat drop formed on his face. As awesome as the whole different colored scarves and rainbow explosions that arrived from behind them, they were just asking for an ass kicking if they wanted to fight against something like this.
As insane as it was, Laz began to laugh and already by then, Kostya knew what his Trainer wanted to do. He wasn't confused, but he was about to smack his face with a Sucker Punch for all of this. With a heavy sigh, the Gengar stepped forward, getting ready for the fight. He knew his trainer wasn't insane enough to let him battle alone at least.
"Justice won't always Prevail."
Laz boomed towards the five Bisharps, an insane smirk carved on his face as he took note of his outfit. This should work. Pulling out a scarf from somewhere on his person, the red headed trainer wrapped it around his neck as the silence became deafening.
"Kirikizan Black!"
Laz could just imagine a black explosion of clouds behind him happen. There was a loud exploding noise so it probably could have happened. With the rush over, four more explosions of light came out as four pokemon took on the battle field. This was gonna be one hell of a battle. First one up that appeared from the explosion was Freiya. The mighty Luxray already crackling with energy in anticipation of the fight. Next to her came Styx the bloody Crawdaunt. The red carapace gleaming in animosity under the sunlight. After that was Freeze. A Piloswine ready for the most brutal battle it was about to face.
Then the finale happened. With a power so dark, it could send trembles through the earth. Something truly befitting for 'the fallen Ranger.' With a howl and a distant crackle of Thunder, the explosion came to an end as the mighty Houndoom took its rightful place in the center.
"Is your Light strong enough to prevail against my Darkness?"

The red-scarfed Bisharp scoffed at his comment, assuming the Gengar would translate his words
<Light? Darkness? Don't make me laugh! Our motivations have nothing to do with either one. Darkness can be used for good, just as light can be used for evil! No...the only thing we align ourselves with is Justice! Today, you shall regret mocking us!>
Each one of them went into a series' of poses, which were almost...dance-like. It was, in fact, a move, which they had manage to alter to make it look like a series of meaningless poses, all while giving themselves a boost in power. Then they struck. Red took aim at the Houndoom, charging toward it with its claws extended. Blue and Green did the same, but their attacks had a noticeable aura of darkness surrounding them. They took aim at the Luxray and Gengar, respectively. Yellow faced the Piloswine, taking a more direct approach by charging head-first. Finally, there was Pink, who took aim at the Crawdaunt with a weak slash. Of course, there was only one possible reason she would use this attack.

"Justice? There is no Justice!"
Laz roared into the flames of war with his own brand of anger. Though it may have been fake and he was only playing along, it seemed realistic enough that Laz could have really been saying it from the bottom of his lacking heart. The staples for the battle had already been decided.
The apparent master mind of the group, more or less Kostya the Gengar seeing as he is the most in tune with how his Trainer battles what with always being there to watch the battles be commanded with his voice, had raised his hand and had, in a hushed whisper given the signal to start while the opponents were busy showing off an eerily familiar dance.
The Gengar himself had stayed in place, yet something seemed off about him. Edges of him started to act like static before two more copies of him appeared. It was Double Team! Kostya had created illusionary clones of himself to increase his evasiveness before smacking and phasing through each other, hopefully confusing the opponent on where the real Gengar was.
When the Bisharp with the green scarf had so foolishly went ahead, straight after him, the three Gengars had raised their fists, all of them glowing with an awesome power. Coiling them near their chest for the opportune moment and when that moment came, all three Gengars fired a Focus Blast towards the Bisharp, a barrage of deadly Doubly Super Effective Attacks all aimed at him and sure to be a bloody pain should it actually hit.
Freiya had no such sentiments on allowing her opponent to get the jump on her. She roared with a mighty fury as she launched from her space, electricity crackling around her mane before her entire body as she upped up whatever Electrical attack she was going to use next with Charge. As the ground began to vibrate with her loud and heavy foot steps, the Luxray saw the Bisharp just starting to head towards her.
More and more, digging for the heavy power that could be inside her very core of electricity, the Luxray began to enter a zone where everything around her begone to form a field of electricity. Her entire body being covered with the life threatening surge of lightning as she aimed for a head on collision with her specialty, a Wild Charge attack against the opponents flimsy looking Night Slash.
The Crawdaunt was not impressed with his match-ups choice of battle. Just because it was head on, and Fury Cutter something people thought would deal some kind of damage, to the Crawdaunt, it had become laughable. Some 'Force of Justice' these blokes were. As the opponents had gone off to do their melodramatic dancing, Styx himself performed the original sequence. Swords Dance it was as his own monstrous physical attack stat grew in dynamic proportions. Already into dangerous levels, the Crawdaunt too charged forward.
His legs skittering through the hard surface of the battle field, unlike the diabolical and fickle snow that had almost cost him a match, the red shelled Crawdaunt fiercely bounded through the pebbles with his mighty pincer heavily raised into the air. Crab Hammer at its finest, the Crawdaunt heaved it down; timing it just where his attack would be able to block and possibly counter-attack the enemies pitiful form of advance.
Freeze had not expected this. He was already busy trying to formulate something when a throbbing on his left leg had reappeared. Increasingly, the pain it did. It wasn't much, probably a small sprain from one of the earlier training sessions and that the potions could only do so much. Whatever, it was only a dulling sensation. It could take on whatever kind of attack the enemy was gonna do.
Silently, with no kind of roar whatsoever, the Piloswine heavily stomped his right leg forward, massively crunching the floor as tremors suddenly tore through the rupturing earth. More and more crags came out as the Piloswine used Earthquake. Sure, it would have damaged his teammates, Freiya more than the others, but that was of little consequence. They all knew what it felt being harassed by Earthquakes anyway.
Huffing back with bated breath, the attack crunched the ground and would more or less affect the entirety of the battle arena. As the Earthquake kept on raging, the Piloswine did not wait, it had already started using Ancient Power as the Bisharp started to gain ground and the shimmering of its head signifying an attack, possibly a Steel type one at that. The sharp rocks around him began to float, almost hauntingly as they circled around him. With a burst of his tusk, the Piloswine launched the floating rocks towards the Bisharps Iron Head, wanting to delay and stop it more than outright hurting the opponent.
Then there it was, the battle between the two supposedly strongest members of their respective teams. Of course, Red always did signify some kind of leader like quality, so the Red-Scarfed Bisharp must have thought that since the Houndoom was red, like himself, he was the designated leader. To Laz and the others, it looked more like a death wish of a desperate man.
As the red Bisharp had the time to do some stupid dance that might have been useful, the Houndoom was already zeroing in with Mind Reader. The psychic move an out of place move for a Houndoom but people stopped questioning these kinds of things when they were unconscious. What Vulcan wanted was something more on the permanent side of the scope.
The attack already taken effect and the red Bisharp just gave up its life to the Grim Reaper, the exchanged only delayed as Vulcan felt a pang of sadism gnawing at his brain. Taking a slower method of unleashing the hell fire that burned within him. Allowing the opponent to be off with the dance, the Houndoom boiled more of himself up.
Narrowing his eyes as the licks of fire began to leak from his locked maw, the red Houndoom found the Red Bisharp already heading right at him, the swords on its arms at the ready for some kind of attack. Vulcan gave the thing some kind of light, a sliver of hope thinking that its beliefs were of actual value.
Vulcan only had one regret as he commanded the Inferno that spewed a wall of flame that headed right at the opponent. He wouldn't be able to see the shocked expression of the possibly burning and writhing Bisharp as the Inferno consumed its prey. The howls in the descending sun and the immense pain one would feel through it.
"Only The Strong Are Left. The Weak, Long Forgotten."

After the chaos that ensued, one thing was clear...Red and Green were down. In truth, all of them were basically destroyed by the Earthquake, but managed to stay standing through sheer force of will. Red and Green, however, were not so lucky, having been struck by a second super-effective attack. Especially Red. So yeah...sucks to be them.
<Y-you bastard! Red! Green! We will avenge you!!> All of them setting their sights on the Houndoom, they nodded. <This is no longer about winning! We swear, on our honor, that we will bring down your leader, or go down trying!> It seemed they really did assume that the Houndoom was the leader because he was red. The Red one was always the leader. Either way, they all charged at the Houndoom, ready to slice with their claws.

"Bring them down, all of you."
Laz commanded in his voice as the remaining Bisharps had taken up arms and all aimed at the Red Houndoom with their claws, ready to Slash him apart with their attacks. Being the closest to one of them, Freiya had ignored what the hell just happened and once more went after her target with Wild Charge. Dead set on knocking it out with this signature attack.
Styx had not bothered when it came to getting close as he instead raised a crab arm and supported it with his other as he slowly took aim. Having his sights on the farthest opponent from Vulcan, the Crawdaunt fired a torrent of bubbles, Bubblebeam at its finest as the attack soared through the space between them.
Freeze had not threatened his opponents to go through another wave of Earthquake seeing as he did not want to disrupt whatever command was given to them from their trainer. So, with a huff, the Piloswine instead rose the rocks through Ancient Power before sending a stormy barrage at the closest Bisharp.
Kostya laughed and didn't even bother using an attack as he silently floated away from the actual battle field and stayed a way behind Vulcan who he was confident in to finish the job without so much as even a sweat. That's how much he treated the strongest member of his team.
Vulcan didn't really care anymore as the attacks were already coming for him. There was still time and the houndoom knew how to exploit it. They were coming closer, almost converging into just one group as he continued a few paces back. By this time, the Houndoom was already pretty much getting his inner fire ready to go explode on their faces. A bit more, let the Bisharps follow him...before the Houndoom unleashed a horrendous torrent of flames with Flamethrower. The attack searing through the air as it headed for the general direction of the head Bisharp.

Yeah...it wasn't going very well for the remaining three Bisharp. One by one, they were taking down, without so much as landing a scratch on their target...it was the ultimate defeat, and it was one they would be bitter about for a very long time. Granted, they brought it on themselves for only partially paying attention to what was going on.

"That...is just sad."
Laz commented with an evil snark on his face as he watched in gleeful sadism on how the so called Fighters For Justice. As his opponents fell down one by one, Laz would have expected for them to have some kind of last ditch technique that would give him a problem. Turns out he was expecting too much from this bunch. As all of his pokemon converged around him, Laz had hoped that at least one of them was still conscious enough to hear him talk.
"Justice? Pathetic. With that so called drive of yours, I would have thought that you'd all last longer. Guess Super Heroes nowadays aren't what they used to be."
Laz laughed in an overly mocking manner, staying true to his role of the evil villain. Well, except for the whole 'evil villains always lose in the end' rule...seeing as he totally won this match; with a landslide even. Well, this was pretty much it. All of his pokemon got more training at least and that was the real goal for this fight. Having achieved his goal, Laz would normally catch his opponent should they end up losing against him.
But then an idea struck him.
"You know? I can just kill all of you now but I won't. I'll let you five destroy yourselves in search of power...and maybe then you'll have a chance against me."
Laz goaded them as he gave another raucous laugh that just oozed with over-confidence and self-centeredness. Now, if he only had a cape that he could swish into the air for a bad-ass leaving pose. His scarf had to work for now though. Letting his pokemon move on before him, the pokemon already walking towards civilization as Laz turned around and flipped his black scarf backwards.
"Don't Forget."
Laz said as he completely turned around and followed the leading pokemon, already hoping that he'd meet them again for another battle to see if they would have improved.
