It was a fire burn fire world here at Hotrock Volcano, especially at this time with the temperatures soaring to quite the high degrees. As the blazing hot heat began to reach its peaks, many Fire type Pokemon began making their way out of their homes to journey towards the deeper parts of the volcano. However, not everything can go as smoothly as Pokemon plan. A Darumaka was on the run, the run from quite an angry pack of Houndour. During the hour in which the flame that settles within its body had begun to intensify, the energetic and rather mischeavious Darumaka had accidentally pushed a boulder upon the pack of Houndour. This of course resulted in the angry canine Pokemon to attack. Things weren't looking very good for the little Darumaka as he ran for his life.
"Daru Daruuu!" The little Pokemon exclaimed, perhaps attempting to reason with the Houndour in saying that it was all a big misunderstanding. Well, it was rather difficult trying to explain such a matter that was already said and done. Or moreso, done and done. As the Fire Pokemon's little feet began to grow steadily tired, it saw Thomas ahead of him. Perhaps the trainer could be of use. The Darumaka dove between Thomas' legs before crawling behind the trainer's shoulders, trembling out of fear yet feeling slightly more comforted in such a position. "Daru..." it said rather contently.
Things weren't that content with Thomas on the otherhand who had two Houndour growling at not just him but the little burden upon his shoulders.
Well...You got your Fire Pokemon alright.

Off in the distance, Thomas noticed a little red ball running toward him and Suma. Suma watched it waddle and run much like himself and he blinked as it ran behind Thomas and climb up his trainer and latch onto his back. He was about to hit the little red ball when two more Pokemon came running toward them. Before Thomas could say anything, Suma rushed forward with his arm's thrusting. He was using, obviously, using Arm Thrust ([Dice=4] whatever it rolls plus 1) to attack the one that was closer. "Go Blue and Trip! Water Gun the one Suma isn't attacking!" Tom called out, tossing out his Buizel and Oshawott who both proceeded to use Water Gun together on the Houndour that Suma wasn't rushing toward.

As the three Pokemon came rushing at the two Houndour, the canine Pokemon snarled viciously. Despite being outnumbered the two Pokemon didn't seem to care. While the Makuhita rushed towards one of the Houndour, the canine's fangs began to glow a deadly fiery red before flames began to erupt from its maw. The Fire Fang attack then attempted to inflict damage upon the rushing Makuhita. The Houndour's partner was stuck in a little scenario as a rush of raging Water Guns were launched at him. Thinking quickly, the Houndour used a Faint Attack, disappearing for a few moments before reappearing yet again to attack the Oshwott, however, the Water Gun from the Buizel had hit the Houndour resulting in the Faint Attack not reaching it's full potential in power. Letting out a whine from having been hit with the other Water Gun, the Houndour let out an annoyed growl at the Buizel foe. Growling angerily, both canine Pokemon then launched a Howl at once. The bone trembling howls of the two Pokemon seemed to echo clearly and loudly across the entire volcano as their attack stat raised.

Watching as Suma took the Fire Fang, seemingly showing little pain from it, Thomas noticed his Water Types had successfully worked together to negate a Faint Attack. "Good job guys, let's keep it up!" Thomas called out with a smirk. But then he and his Pokemon heard an ear piercing Howl. Suma, Blue and Trip all covered their ears for a second before shaking their heads, trying to ignoring the sound. "Regal, come help them out!" Thomas stated, releasing the Wingull from its Ball. He wanted to get this done quickly. "Suma, keep your focus on the same Houndour and use Force Palm! Regal, back him up with a Water Pulse. Blue, give Trip cover and use Aqua Jet, Trip come in after and use Razor Shell" Tom ordered quickly. Regal opened his beak and a small ball form before firing at the Houndour. The ball grew bigger as it flew forward ([dice=10] 20% chance of confusing). Suma followed up behind the Water Pulse with his fist pulled back and a small white ball forming in front of it. Shoving his fist forward, the Force Palm came in after the Water Pulse ([dice=10] 30% chance of paralyzing). Focusing on the other Houndour, Blue's body became covered in water and his tail began to spin. Rushing forward, he went to deliver and Aqua Jet. Following behind the attack, Trip pulled off his scalchop and it began to glow as he ran forward, ready to hit with a Razor Shell attack.

Considering that the Force Palm was a Fighting technique, the blow that landed on the Houndour was super effective. It let out a whimper as it skidded across the volcano terrain from the force of the attack. Struggling to its feet the Houndour gazed over at his companion who seemed to be in deep trouble as well. Though his concern for his fellow Houndour resulted in the the firey dark canine to be blasted off his feet from the Water Pulse that came his way. The Houndour was too weak to really back up his friend as both super effective attacks hit him full on. "Dour..." the canine Pokemon growled before it lost consciousness.
Back with the second Houndour it was hit with the swiftness of the Aqua Jet but later countered the attack with yet another Faint Attack. With his buddy fainted, the Houndour seemed rather distraight before it unleashed an angry Smog over the entire area. The poisonous gas filled the air, blocking everything from view which gave the Houndour time to rush over to his friend and nudge the other Houndour with its nose. It just wanted a distraction (and a damaging attack as a plus) to see if its friend was fine. When the fainted Houndour didn't budge but simply made a faint whine, the other Houndour wagged his tail slightly. Rather elated that his comrade was fine, the Houndour had neglected the battle in which the Oshawott's Razor Shell attack had hit the canine Pokemon.
The Darumaka, seeing that one of the Houndour were defeated seemed rather please. He sneakily slid from Thomas' shoulders to try and plan his own escape away from the trainer and his Pokemon. The Smog began to clear to reveal the Darumaka making his escape.
Houndour are now catchable! On the otherhand.... Darumaka is making an escape!

Thomas didn't get a chance to relish in his success for too long. As most of his Pokemon hit their targets, the battle seemed to pause as the one Houndour went to check on its friend before releasing a Smog attack. The field was covered in the dark smoke and Thomas quickly covered his mouth, as did Suma as well, while Regal fanned the smoke with his wings. Blue and Trip however, were caught in it, but Trip just retaliated by finishing his attack. When both Houndours were down, Thomas quickly through two Pokeballs out for them.
Then noticing the Darumaka was attempting to escape, Thomas felt an urge to catch it too. "Regal, Blue, Trip, all of you use Water Gun on the Darumaka!" Thomas ordered. He felt a bit rude, he usually wasn't this intense on the Pokemon he planned to catch, but he wasn't about to let something using him as a shield to get away so easily. The three Water Pokemon then each fired off a steady stream of Water Gun's at the little red Pokemon.

As the Darumaka made it's supposed genius escape, it sudden heard the sound of gushing water coming at him. Letting out a startled cry the little round red Pokemon jumped in the air, narrowly avoiding one of the Water Guns that were aimed at him. It was then followed shortly after by two more Water Gun attacks to which the Darumaka failed to dodge. Landing face flat in the dirt, the Darumaka was definately down for the count. It's attempted escape had failed dramatically.
Darumaka is DOWN!

Thomas smirked a little as he downed the little Fire Pokemon. He really wasn't used to battling like that, but he had been determined to catch the little bugger. He had been used for a shield, he wouldn't let that thing escape so easily! And when it went down, Thomas quickly grabbed the Houndour's Pokeballs and tossed a third at the Darumaka. With any luck, Tom would be leaving with a nice group of Pokemon to join him!
