-I'll Be Catching Something-
---
"There's a first time for everything...I guess."
Laz gulped his hollow words deep. The ambience was not soothing nor was there any kind of calm left deep within these gnarled woods. There was a desperate lasting impression on him, these parts. The old and rickety parts of the trees creating a song of pain, derived of any kind of relief of pleasure from its misery.
His converse, high cut and black, had made those cliche crunching noises as the dead weeds crumpled beneath his feet and long forgotten twigs...dry and old, probably with fungi already growing on them, cracked and made the loudest of noises in the stagnant silence that was permeating the glade.
His rough hands that were currently supported by a black glove took support on a sturdy...relatively sturdy looking trunk of a burnt tree who's branches had no life in it...and any branch at all. It was practically a toothpick had it not been for that low hanging branch that looked like it was about to fall any minute.
"This place has got to be shitting me."
Laz said, more so to himself rather than anything else in the forest. Things were rotting in this place. Rather, Laz would get this sinking feeling time and time again whenever he neared this place in hopes of exploring it. It didn't deter him per say, but it looked to be a warning that the many dangers here would need for him to at least be well aware and forth coming with what he knew he could do to withstand the place.
Taking a shallow breath, the temperature of the night dropping so much more that Laz was probably going insane should he say that he could see his breath solidifying in front of him from the unnatural cold the place had to offer. Rubbing his hands together, the red head looked around and surveyed the area. Maybe he should start some kind of fire here, at least for light since the moonlight could barely get through the dense fog of the forest.
Thinking about it again, it would probably be safe to get a few of his matches for this time around rather than using Vulcan to start a bonfire that may engulf the forest again. Grabbing his shoulder bag, a faithful black shoulder bag if I may add, the red head rummaged through the cases and found himself a small match box with a few sticks left. It was enough, he supposed. Looking at the practically rotting trunk he was on and the array of crumpled dead leaves that somehow found its way in the area, the red head gathered them around and allowed them to burst into flames.
It was a slow start but it would keep going. The dead leaves were on the rotting trunk, enough bark to support for the firewood which should at least give a lasting impression. Quickly hiding behind a few crops of trees, Laz waited patiently in the safety of the darkness as a roaring flame became a signal light.

As you trudge deeper into the forest you notice a rather large horde of Pokemon gathered in the middle of the clearing. Each Pokemon seemed sinister and rather vicious as they gazed down at something in the center. Pokemon such as Serviper, Nidoking and Zangoose were gathered about, looks of malice in their eyes at the sight before them. The Pokemon were too focused on their prey to really take any notice to you. As the Zangoose moved to the side, you were able to make out a Snivy and Pichu in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by the horde of malicious Pokemon. It seemed as though the Serviper, Nidoking and Zangoose were intent on making these two little Pokemon their next victim.
Both Pichu and Snivy looked at one another. The Snivy being rather haughty as she gazed up at her predators with a challenging look in her eye. The Pichu on the other hand seemed to have a mischeavious glint to him, with his tufted ear swaying about and sparks igniting from his cheeks. The villainous Pokemon launched at the Pichu and Snivy and in a flash of green a Scyther appeared, his razor sharp claws locking themselves with the Serviper's open jaws first before he thrusted the snake aside. The Zangoose came next as the Scyther let out a screech of it's name before slashing at the mongoose like Pokemon. The Nidoking proved a little more difficult as the brute charged at the Scyther, knocking the praying mantis Pokemon off his feet and onto the ground.
The Snivy and Pichu let out startled shouts before running over to their friend. The Snivy glared at the Nidoking while the Pichu tried to arose his friend.

"I...wonder..."
The evil dredges of sleep had began to creep their malice like hands all around the drowsy red-head. His head starting to become muddled by the most inconsequential of thoughts as he could feel lead being attached to his eyelids like it was going out of style. Stifling a dangerous yawn and feeling himself just become drowsier, the red head would have stepped back and just called out on whatever pokemon he had on him to take guard and sentry while he went down to slumber.
The crackling fire had began to brighten up more, sending different colored flames and the shades of red into hysteria as it frolicked around its leashes that were of the rotting trunk. Black wisps of smoke began to drift high above and the offending smell of something burningly rot permeate the air. Fighting off what drowsiness he had, the red head got up and scrunched a bunch of bark on the gloves he was wearing, feeling a few start pointing at his skin underneath the cloth.
A moment too soon and the trainer froze. There was the sinking feeling again, where danger usually lurked around the corner and with curiosity and cautious abound, the red head plucked a poke ball from his pocket. Twirling the red and white cage between his fingers, already finalizing an entrance for Rapture, his Aggron.
Turning through the trees, Laz saw a bunch of children...courageously holding their own against what seemed to be massive and dangerous hostile pokemon. Then again, Laz thought, Courage was one part bravery and three parts foolishness. The Zangoose and Seviper were advancing, mostly leaving the Nidoking up for grabs for the title of head honcho.
Revising his plan, the red head watched in amazement as the children didn't run nor quiver in fear, hell they even looked excited to take on the wild pokemon. Laz was about to interfere when he saw the black snake like Seviper lunge at the children, its mouth being blocked by a gleam of green. From no where, a Scyther practically materialized in the area and guarded the pokemon from even being hurt.
The blades had caught the mouth of the Seviper, along with its fangs as a quick battle for dominance soon became a petty squabble as the Scyther forcibly threw the Seviper far away. A howler, the Scyther was as it screeched its name, assaulting the Zangoose with the mantis like blades and injuring it.
The Zangoose had retreated a bit and allowed the rampaging Nidoking to go fight and giving it space to do some of its more devastating attacks. For what speed and cunning the Scythers were known for, it was destroyed over the immense brute force of the Nidoking. Roaring its name, the Nidoking flung the under-powered Scyther away, knocking its breath away as the children scrambled after him, worried about their guardian.
With this, Laz had began his assault. Unleashing the massive rock and steel type dinosaur like pokemon, the Aggron ferociously roared into the air before creating a massive crater on where he was, landing on all fours. Its menacing body creating an intimidating structure of a monster waiting to sic its fangs on its prey. In a way, this was much like it. In its own tongue, the Aggron had more or less sent a battle towards the Nidoking, finding out which one truly deserved to be crowned as the better fighter.
"Rapture! Stone Ocean!"
Laz ordered his Aggron who gleefully agreed to the fight. Roaring its name, the Aggron sunk its claws deep into the ground before sending a hail of deadly sharp rocks at the Nidoking, Stone Edge was the name of the move. Pounding the ground once more, the Aggron summoned an immense tidal wave. The ocean blue attack being Surf rose high before aiming for its target; the Nidoking.

The Nidoking seemed smugly pleased with himself when he had knocked the speedy Scyther off his feet. A raucous laugh left his mouth at the sight of the collapsed Scyther. Now that the swift mantis was out of the way, dealing with the two little Pokemon would be the more easier. The Nidoking took massive steps forward, inching his way towards his victims as the ground shook beneath him. The Serviper was shaking off his earlier throwback, feeling rather annoyed at the Scyther and took pleasure in its downfall. The Snivy and Pichu on the otherhand were rather upset with their protector's injury. The two glared defiantly up at the approaching Nidoking, the smaller Pokemon bouncing up every now and then from the Nidoking's large footfalls as he neared. The Pichu even went as far as to stick out his tongue at him before erupting into a fit of giggles.
Enraged at this display, the Nidoking reached over to grab the Pichu but then was interrupted by the arrival of a Pokemon trainer. As the Aggron came charging at the Nidoking, the large beast braced himself for the impact. Just then the Stone Hedge technique was launched, resulting in large rocks to tumble at him. The Nidoking countered the attack with Earth Power. Own pieces of earth flying into the incoming rock. He then charged forward with Megahorn to deliver his impressive blow. The Zangoose and Serviper followed suit. The Seviper slithered off to the side, moving it's body steadily as an intimidating Glare was passed towards the Aggron. The Zangoose came zeroing in, claws at the ready as he performed his Close Combat attack, slashing and hitting at every part of the Aggron he could get to. [/blockquote]

"Rapture, Protect!"
Laz roared his order as he saw the hail of attacks motioning themselves to destroy what ever kind of protection it had from them dangerous attacks. Regardless, the Aggron persevered and just in the nick of time, before Megahorn would connect with his steel helmet, the beast erected a bubble of a green sickly shade.
Well enough, the attack had managed to guard against the Megahorn, deflecting what damage it could have done towards it away...along with the Close Combat that Rapture had failed to notice on his rampant battle spree. He had to thank his trainer for having a keener sense than him when it came to battling.
The attacks had finally subsided but regardless, it would still stay the same. Now that they were all some space away from and the Protect had started to break down, the Aggron launched its counter attack. A mighty roar of its name as winds started buffeting the dead parts of this forest.
Sand Storm it was, the weather had created a sandstorm in the middle of the battle, buffeting every none resistant type to it with sand and rocks and small pieces of debris and stuff. With that over, the Aggron looked towards the Nidoking and raked its claws on the ground, unleashing another destructive Surf to destroy the opponents. The tidal wave once more rose up before crashing down and aiming at the enemies.
With both hands, the red head grabbed on to a pair of poke balls, unleashing the energy within as they soared through the fields and an explosion of white came about. Out came a very, very , VERY pissy Magnezone who was just starting to enjoy getting some down time and a Crawdaunt who was already snipping for a battle.
"Kirk, Magnet Assault! Styx, Tidal Sea!"
Laz commanded as his Magnezone happily clanged in response to the orders. It didn't even wait for anything as it lobbed a Magnet Bomb at the Seviper and Zangoose, the attack more or less supposed to home in on them before exploding with pain on their faces. Unleashing a Flash Cannon against the Nidoking, the Magnezone happily fired away with a precise look on its eye. This was gonna hurt if it hit.
Then Styx came along. He was mad, he was sleepy, he wanted to get some rest but no, stupid bully pokemon making his day worse and worse. Roaring out with rage, the Crawdaunt summoned a Surf...upon a Surf and rode it...With a Crab Hammer at the ready. The Surfs should be able to damage both the Zangoose and Seviper to a good extent while he rode the Crab Hammer and jumped off, commiting a dive bomb attack with his Crab Hammer against the Nidoking.

With the ridiculous amount of overflowing water coming through the forest, the already dead trees were beginning to bend under the pressure. The trio of Pokemon were rather pissed with the entire avoidance of their attacks on the Aggron. As Laz released his Magnezone and Cradaunt, the bullying Pokemon were now even in numbers. The Magnezone released his large balls of energy towards the large crowd of Pokemon while more Surf attacks came coming at the trio of bullying Pokemon. The Crawdaunt came coming at them with a Crab Hammer at the ready. Immediately, the Zangoose came rushing forward using Detect to catch the incoming attacks of each of the the Pokemon. With the Detect, Zangoose was safe having being able to detect each of the attacks. The Zangoose then rushed at the Crawdaunt, unleashing a Crush Claw attack with a flurry of sharp claws and talons slashing about.
On the other hand, the Seviper was already buffeted by the Sandstorm, luckily Nidoking was able to not be affected by the Sandstorm attack. however, the incoming Magnet Bombs and Flash Cannon coming at the group was a force to be reckoned with. The Nidoking performed yet another Earth Power to counter against the two Magnet Bombs. The large pieces of earth flying their way into the energy balls of steel. The Flash Cannon on the other hand hit the Nidoking while the Seviper countered it with a Poison Tail before but still getting hit by it.
The Surfs smashed into the Seviper who was blown away by the devasting blows of water. The Scyther who had steadily rosen from his downfall rushed towards the Seviper, throwing a Fury Cutter at the Seviper, resulting in the snake Pokemon to faint. Meanwhile the Nidoking glared up at the Crab Hammer that the Crawdaunt was about to perform. As the Surf came, the Nidoking used Focuse Energy before charging at the coming Crawdaunt with his Megahorn attack.

"Kirk, Rail Gun on Zangoose! Rapture, Stone Ocean on the Nidoking! Styx, swat with Crab Hammers!"
The red head ushered the commands as he saw the battle field begin to fall into a massive amount of disarray. The ground began to fall into pieces as several crags began to fill up with water, the torrent of liquids having enough force to even tear them asunder.
The broken trees, once living lush and green, later on black, charred and rotting, now swept, soggy and debris as they were washed away by Surf. The clearing had become wider by the attack, giving all of the pokemon a bigger area for their battle.
The Magnezone had stirred up at the order, locking his mechanical eyes at the Zangoose that was in locked combat with the Crawdaunt whose Crab Hammer was busy breaking through its weakening Crush Claw. A whir of his gears and Kirk activated Lock On, the scope like eyes turning into a cross hair and literally locking on the opponent. More or less allowing a direct attack under almost any circumstance at it.
With that done, the Magnezone fired a destructive Zap Cannon that tore through the air. The electric currents frying the atmosphere as the Magnezone kept the attack going. On and on it went towards the Zangoose, already aiming to permanently take it out of this fight.
Rapture, having seen the everything happen...Styx being more or less covered by blocking all the attacks sent at him with his own impressive Crab Hammers and Kirk already taking charge of downing the Zangoose, it left the Aggron the job to fend off the Nidoking. Rapture was alright with it.
Once more, the massive steel plated dinosaur dug his heavy arms into the ground before slashing it. Stone Edge it was, as several heavy stones erupted from the ground and towards the occupied Nidoking. Digging his other hand on the ground again, the Aggron readied his Surf and let it loose towards the Nidoking. [/font]

As the flurry of attacks came at the Zangoose and Nidoking, the already rather exhausted Zangoose didn't really stand a chance. As he tried to counter it with a False Swipe, the move ultimately failed the moment the Zap Cannon was administered. As the Zangoose fell to his doom, the Nidoking realized at that particular moment that he was the only one left standing on the battlefield. It was the fact that he was terribly outnumbered and even more so exhausted from all the attacks that he constantly had to take and ocassionally dodged that it occured to him this territory wasn't worth it. Why would one want to fight to the death just to claim a territory that a Scyther, Pichu and Snivy had under wraps. Perhaps the trainer could take care of that for him anyway and capture the meezly little Pokemon and he could claim it either way. The Nidoking growled and turned tail like a coward. But sometimes cowards were much wiser than those who were brave.
The Pichu and Snivy seemed rather reluctantly grateful towards Laz. The little Pichu sticking out a tongue at the red headed trainer before giving a grateful smile. The Snivy on the otherhand crossed her arms over her chest and let out a snort. On the otherhand, the Scyther was openly grateful as he gave an appreciative incline of his head towards Laz.
The Scyther, Pichu and Snivy are up for grabs. Try it with those two little Pokemon's mischeavious antics and see how it goes.

"Well...that took care of things."
Laz said, the Adrenaline slowly loosing its hold on his grated nerves as the fight had come to conclusion. His Victory was well assured with how his pokemon had been able to handle the situation while following his orders to an exact precision. That was good enough for the time being. Laz would have to train them to think on their own next time, except Styx. Laz knew that his Crawdaunt knew what to do in certain situations, these answers being relentlessly drilled into him. Which was, you know, a good thing.
Leaving that incident behind, Laz came out of area, slightly drenched from the tidal wave that coursed through the battle field but was more or less alright. No scratches anywhere, maybe a bruise or two from having to fight against a wave of epic proportions but nonetheless, he was alright. Deeming the Zangoose and Seviper a Hazard to his team, for reasons that they were actively trying to attack everything at sight, would be something of a hindrance for their training. He could handle that, but he was still busy with the whole getting the Tangela to start listening to him and the Volbeat and Illumise that still treated him like trash.
"I'm gonna catch the three of you, alright?"
Laz said, as he essentially pulled out three pokeballs and pretty much lobbed them towards the Scyther who looked happy for receiving his help, the Snivy who was huffing and had her back to him and the last one to the Pichu that was giving him a raspberry before giving him a megawatt smile.
Thinking about it gain. It'd be such a waste to just let those otter two pokemon be left behind. Might work as a gift or something. Without really intention of keepin the Zangoose and Seviper, Laz lobbed his two remaining pokeballs at them, more or less going to give hem away or trade or something.

ooc; I take away Serviper from you >D It was too much @.@ Congratulations you caught a Snivy, Pichu, Scyther, Zangoose! Snivy Gender: Female Nature: Naughty with a hint of pride a sprinkle of smugness and a dash of haughtiness Ability: Overgrow Pichu Gender: Male Nature: Fickle and mischeavious Ability: Static Scyther Gender: Male Nature: Adamant Ability: Technician Zangoose Gender: Male Nature: Brash and a little ruthless Ability: Immunity Serviper broke out of the poke ball (in pain and a glare. Hell those snakes have pride you know). It then rose from its fainting, having still been extremely injured but refused to be captured by such a trainer. With a last glare the Serviper winced its way along, as quickly as it's painfilled body could go. Before another poke ball could be thrown at it, the Serviper was gone.
