its time for the heat

Ven was walking on the trail with his long hair and red over throw blowing in the wind, Ven was walking with Wardog in a diamond formation. and Tyrogue at his right side and Lead at his lift, Ven was a bit bored he wanted to find something to do maybe a Pokemon here and there or even a trainer to battle. Ven wanted to train his new Pokemon Sandshrew and maybe find a battle For Nidoran as well bet he did not know what or how he was going to find. So they kept on walking up the path looking for any thing that they can fight.

"Oh dear GOD. Why does it have to be so hot? Stupid volcano."

[/b] Dante said, as he dragged his feet along the hot, hot floor. His search for a fire-type Pokemon was essentially hit with one obstacle: It was burning, and it was making the trainer sleepy.

"I swear to god, Accia..."[/b] Dante groaned to his Mawile, who seemed to be just as annoyed by the heat. "This is putting me in such a bad mood that first thing that approaches me, I'm going to attack, even if I have to pick you up and throw you."[/b]

Ven did not mind the heat it was not bathing him as much so he kept on, once Ven was a ways up the path he saw a lone trainer whom he did not know of. Ven smiled it was time for battle "hey you there" Ven screamed out trying to get the boys attention. Since Ven did not know this trainer he would not know how to fight it but in all reality he was looking for a fight win or lose it did not matter as long as they got experience that was all Ven cared for winning although it would be good to win. Ven walked up to the boy with his Pokemon

"Goddammit. Me and my big mouth."

[/b] Dante turned around and quickly scanned the boy in front of him. Taking off his glasses and wiping them on his red hoodie, his face was rather reminiscent of his sister, Melody. Even the oddly mismatched eyes were there, after all, the two were twins.

Of course, unlike her, he seemed to be less graceful and more blunt. As he placed his glasses back on, the boy showed a mixture of unamusement and indifference. Scratching his chin, he let out a quick, succint sigh. "What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy melting?"[/b][/blockquote][/font]

Ven walked up to the boy with his Pokemon and smiled "i would like to battle if you would care for one that is" Ven was wanting a battle to battle and see what this new changed friend Sandshrew. Although he wanted to see where he can do in a fight for the first time and see if he can make a strategy for him. Ven looked up at the boy, "My name is Ven Hiroshima from Cinnabar and who might you be." Ven was curies he did not have any Pokemon out of there balls so it would be interesting to see what the boy had.

"My name is Mike Litoris, from the Native Reservation of Slapaho."

[/b] Dante said sarcastically. "Pleased to meet you, or something."[/b]

Accia, the Mawile, tugged on her trainer's shorts, almost as indication to be nice. "Fine, my name's Dante, from the not-so-island of Ecruteak. Y'know, that place where the kimono girls dance for money."[/b]

Poking the Mawile at his side, Dante then shrugged. "A battle? Yeah, okay, it's not like I can refuse anyway. I just said something along the lines of it about ten seconds ago."[/b]

Prodding the Mawile, Dante nodded. "Glaciem's gonna get pwned in this heat. So you're going to battle for her, okay? Okay, glad we agree."[/b]

Accia, of course, had no problems battling. She was rather excited to have the chance to have her first trainer battle. Dante, on the other hand, was rather unamused, mostly because he wanted to hurry up and go outside the volcano.

Nevertheless, he'd try to give the battle his all. Pushing up his glasses, Dante gave Ven a quick glance before placing his hands in his pockets. "Alright, set the terms and let's get this train wreck on the road!"[/b][/blockquote][/font]

Ven looked at him with his dark reddish eyes as he he was going to fight his Mawile, Ven ignored the other sarcastic remarks and focused on the battle. then he hared him ask what was his condition's to battle Ven smirked over his red throw over and smirked. "as you wish this would be a two Pokemon battle one battle then we have another battle with two other Pokemon that is if you have more then one Pokemon well then do you chose your Mawile am i correct." Ven was going to have to use Sandshrew but he wanted to make sure what Pokemon this Dante was going to use

Biting his lip, Dante debated whether or not to agree with the terms. He knew too well his Cubchoo wouldn't do too well in the heat.

"Nah."

[/b] Dante shook his head. "Just Accia for now."[/b] Despite his usual demeanor as a cold, sarcastic douchebag, he cared too much for his starter to make her suffer in such extreme heat.

"Take it or leave it."[/b] Dante said simply, crossing his arms. For once he showed a more caring side of him, which was generally reserved to his Pokemon. "Accia, you're up girl."[/b]

As he heard his trainer's command, the Mawile pranced in front of his trainer, in a well-prepared, battle stance.[/blockquote][/font]

Ven smiled at his remark and then seeing the cat come in to the battle field, Ven looked at Lucario and he nodded to her and she nodded back to him and Lucario moved aside as well as Nidoran and Omastar. Ven smiled and looked at Sandshrew "your up Wardog 4 now lets go," Sandshrew walked in front of Ven and looked at the Pokemon that had a mouth hair. "Ok i'm going to start this one if you don't mind Sandshrew use sand storm," Sandshrew then rolled up in to a ball and started to spin creating a storm of dust ash and sand this lowered the other Pokemon's accercey by 25% now Ven looked at the boy "well its your move Dante"

Accia, who was part-Steel, didn't seem to be hurt by the Sandstorn in any way, which was great. However, her added obstacle: the Sandshrew's Sand Veil, seemed to get in the way of her aim.

Dante yawned loudly, his gloved hands trying hardest to cover the yawn.

'Oh man, this heat is really going to put me to sleep... Gotta focus... ugh. I can't see shit. Where's Accia...? Oh there.'

[/i] Dante seemed to be lost in his thoughts. 'I can't even see that Sandshrew. I'm gonna have to combat his Sand Storm with something else.'[/i]

"Accia, pheromone time. Use Sweet Scent!" [/b]Dante commanded.

As instructed, the Mawile began to dance around the spot, releasing a sweet, enticing, and mostly seductive scent to allow the Sandshrew to be drawn out and hit more oftenly. [/blockquote][/font]

Ven protected his face from the sandstorm with the overthrow but then he hared Dante had used sweet sent and Sandshrew showed him self because of the smell of the sweet scent. Ven nodded "Sandshrew use rock tomb lets slow this thing down," Sandshrew nodded hearing the command and then piked up 4 builder throwing them at the mawhile given the sandstorm Ven did not think the Mawile would know were the builders are coming from. Ven thought that Sandshrew was like a phantom but lets see what happens in this battle to see if he really is a phantom.

Despite the fact that the Sandstorm did provide some cover, and the boulders' origin. It didn't stop them from being big, hard-to-hide rocks at a closer range. It was ALMOST like hiding a tree in a forest.

Except, y'know, the tree was kinda moving.

"C'mon Accia! Move outta the way!"

[/b] Dante snapped his fingers. "Try not to get squished!"[/b]

Accia understood, and tried dodging the attack, but clumsily ended up tripping on her own accord. falling flat on her non-steel jaw, Accia tried her hardest to roll away, but she couldn't help but be too late.

Out of quick reflexes, she used her big jaw to defend herself. Even though it kinda hurt her, she still managed to come out of the attack alive, and unscathed. The words 'It's not very effective' come to mind.

"...not exactly what I expected. But, good job anyhow. That Rock type resistance of yours sure comes in handy."[/b] Dante nodded, and crossed his arms. "Now. Let's use that big-ass mouth of yours: Vicegrip, now!"[/b]

Accia stood just as clumsily as she had fallen, and began to look for the Sandshrew. It wasn't hard this time around, since her nice, sweet aroma had lured the opponent out. Once localized, the Mawile opened up her big set of fake jaws, and tried to 'bite down' on the Sandshrew, almost as he was in a vise or a clamp.[/blockquote][/font]

Ven hared Dante's command and Ven thought that since Sandshrew had already a high defense and that vice grip did not look like it would hurt but it did give Ven a idea. "Sandshrew let the Vice grip hit you but make sure your hands are free, then use slash" Sandshrew closed his eyes and raised his hands as the vice grip clamped on his body. it hurt but not that much, now that the mawile was at point blank range he took his razor sharp claws and was bigening to bring them down and slash the jaws that were clutching him. Ven could not see what was going on but he hoped for the best, he then looked in the direction of Dante "its your move my new fond friend"

Dante snapped his fingers in similar style to how his sister usually claps her hands together in a command. The similarities between the two were uncanny. "C'mon, c'mon, your mouth makes for an excellent shield!"[/b]

Dante, of course, had a newly-found respect for those who had been called "big-mouth" previously in life. Accia's jaws provided enough coverage to protect her slightly from the Slash attack. Although it hurt a bit, the Mawile ended up being mostly unscathed from the attack.

Dante winked and gave Accia a thumbs up. "Type resistances for the win."[/b] Cracking his knuckles, he gave another heat-induced sleepy yawn. "Oh, god. This is no time to sleep. It's just getting fun. Focus, focus."[/b]

Dante shook his head and slapped himself a bit, to try to keep awake. "Okay, Accia. Bitches don't know 'bout our STAB bonus. Iron Head!"[/b]

Accia, lacking an actual steel cranium, used her gigantic maw as a makeshift substitute. Charging towards the Sandshrew jaw-first, Accia let out a succint battle cry as she ran.

Ven hared as Dante used iron head Ven had a lot of experience with this move he knew exactly what to do "Sandshrew use defense curl then to raise your defense and take the hit" Sandshrew then curled in to a ball rising its defense by one stage then the iron head hit him hard making him flinch but Ven knew that Sandshrew could take the hit the sandstorm was wearing down Ven had to create a new one soon because he was starting to see Sandshrew in the first place Ven had to sit up a trap and one fast he looked at the Dante as the Sandstorm was clearing up "its your move"

The heat was really getting to Dante, and he was getting more and more tired, so he decided to bear with it and keep himself busy so he wouldn't fall asleep. Taking out his trusty pair of drumsticks, the young drummer began to juggle them expertly with one hand.

"My, my."

[/b] Dante smirked, trying to think of what to do. Juggling with his sole hand was good enough for him to clear his mind. "Let's bide our time, and use a little Stockpile. Suck in as much as you can."[/b]

Accia prepared her mouth, and began to store up a strange power in her gigantic maw. As she did this, she felt her defenses growing as well, which would only be temporary, so long as she kept the energy in her. [/blockquote][/font]

Sandshrew was took the hit well now it was his turn at offense he had to make this one count. Ven started to think stock pile only keeps your defense up for as long as the energy is in the Pokémon that is using it so if I would keep the Pokémon from dropping what’s in its mouth I should be fine since if it comes out it well hurt. Let me go with a sandstorm and a sand tomb that should trap it and not let it do anything for a cupal of rounds. Ven was thinking of a plan and that was simply to trap the other Pokémon in a very strong sandstorm with in a sandstorm there for hurting the Pokémon countenusly at 35 damage. Ven smirked, “ok Sandshrew use sandstorm and then use sand tomb.” Sandshrew stayed in the ball form and started to spin whipping up yet another sandstorm but then Sandshrew started to spin faster and the sand storm got more powerful around Dante’s Pokémon. The Mawile was in two sandstorms at the same time so Ven was curies what Dante would do. Ven looked to were Dante was standing “it’s your move my friend”

Dante bit his thumb. Getting hit by a Sand Tomb wasn't Accia's idea of a good time. Granted, it wasn't too strong a move, but after throwing in Accia's type disadvantage, it packed a bit more of a punch. The original Sandstorm, of course, did nothing because of her type. It was a bit of a mixed bag.

Accia was getting slightly impatient, and wanted to hurry up and Spit Up, however, Dante shook his head. "Acc-chan, It's not time. Keep raising your defenses with Stockpile. We'll be there soon enough, and you'll be able to survive a couple more attacks."

Sighing, Dante placed his hands on the back of his head. He felt like he was slightly backed into a corner, and was beginning to focus more and more in the battle. Ironically enough, it was a grim situation that gave him more confidence. Accia noticed this too, and used the opportunity to trust her trainer. She looked up at him, to which he nodded.

"Two hundred."[/b] Dante winked at his Mawile. "Just a little more."[/b][/blockquote][/font]

Ven noticed that the Mawile still had the stockpile in her mouth because of Dante’s words that means that the sand tomb did not do that much, Ven was thinking that he could force it out with a strong blow then let the sand tomb consume her. Ven planed on doing these with swift, “Sandshrew try and hit the Mawile hard enough that she is forced to let that out with swift.” Sandshrew opened up its mouth and sharp golden ninja stars came shooting out of his mouth going straight for the Mawile, this battle was nearing its end Ven could feel it but he was unsure how was winning they both were countering each other’s moves. As well both Pokémon were getting tired, Ven started to wonder how the battle was going to win nonetheless Ven looked at were Dante was standing “now I do believe it’s your move Dante”

This attack was inevitable, and Accia was hit anyway. Thanks to her boosts in Defense, and resistances due to her Steel typing, though, the Mawile still managed to be unscathed from the attack. Now that she was ready once again, she managed to predict Dante's intention, and used Stockpile one last time.

"Three-hundred! Yet, we're still not done... make it six-hundred."

[/b] Dante smiled devilishly. "Pretend that Yumiko's Aipom called you fat. Fake Tears!"[/b]

Accia's eyes began to water, and using her non-Stockpiling mouth, her real one, she began to let out sharp, yet adorable sobs. Definitely something that would lower the opponent's Special Defense sharply, or at least feel pity for her.[/blockquote][/font]

Ven heard his command and now he knew what Dante was going to do with Sandshrew’s special defiance that low he would go down if he would to get hit well that’s ok I got something, Ven smiled as he thought “Ok Sandshrew lets use sand tomb and then hit him with yet another swift.” Sandshrew started to roll up in to a ball and then he started to spin and the sandstorm became even stronger over the Mawile and that allowed Mawile to get attacked constantly for 5 turns. After that Sandshrew poped back up smiled and sent out a second set of ninja starts out of his mouth strait for the Mawile. Ven crossed his hands and then smiled “well Dante it’s your move”

Accia remained unscathed from the Swift attack, thanks to her even greater boosted defenses, but she still managed to get hurt by the Sand Tomb. That's where her typing betrayed her a bit. She was breathing heavily, and was almost down.

"We're almost done, Acc-chan."

[/b] Dante said, covering his eyes from the sandstorm. "In both respects, even..."[/b]

Dante snapped his fingers. He began humming "The Ecstasy of Gold" to further add drama to the situation. "Time for our last stand. Spit Up!"[/b]

As instructed, Accia took good aim towards the Sandshrew, and shot out the strange power she had Stockpiled over the past several minutes. With his lowered Special Defense, the already strong attack would quite literally be doubly strong. Dante crossed his fingers and gulped, hoping it would hit.[/blockquote][/font]

Ven saw the Mawile shot the stock pile Sandshrew with both of them at low health Ven knew he had to dodge this attack and that’s why he saved this for times like this, as the Sandstorm raged Ven smiled “Sandshrew use your sand veil ability and then use sand tomb one more it’s time to finish these.” Sandshrew stepped back and blended in to the sand storm and the stock pile missed completely Sandshrew then rolled up in to a ball again and then started to spin fast and making the sand storm harder than already was. Ven smiled the Mawile was getting attacked by two sand tombs lets see if it could take it.

As Dante watched Accia's attack miss, he simply stood there. "Son of a..."

Yet... the worst was yet to come. Still being hurt by the Sand Tombs, Accia couldn't stand the follwing attack. Reaching her limits, the poor Mawile couldn't take it anymore.

"And... the first battle ends in defeat. Goddammit."[/b] Dante spat at the ground, and recalled Accia back, getting her out of the Sand Tomb as quickly as possible.

Despite Dante's urge to flip Ven off, or at the least stick his tongue out at him, the drummer just bowed. As far as he was concerned, he lost honorably, as much of a jerk that he was, he wasn't a sore loser. "GG."[/b] He said simply, the two letters he often used when playing his online games. "Good game."[/b] [/blockquote][/font]

Ven saw as Dante withdrew the Mawile, Ven smiled ok well that one is down and Sandshrew nodded he was getting stronger because of Ven because he was obeying him he is becoming stronger he knew if he wanted to keep on getting bigger and become a big Sandslash then he would have to obey Ven. “Good job Sandshrew let’s get back to HQ and meet back up with Wardog and Ofnir,” Ven looked over to Dante with the sandstorm fading. “Good games tell we meet again on the battle field,” Ven then turned to walk the other way with Sandshrew at his side.
