It had been about 2 days since the entrance exam battle and Chi had yet to go to a single class. The battle had left her completely blind and mostly unable to even move about, even in her own room. The Numel she had gotten from professor Tao had done wonders in helping her recover, actually going and bringing her food and drink when needed, being a seeing eye when called on.
After the day of rest her eyes had begun to stop hurting in varying amounts. It had been suggested that she go and train a bit in one of the darker places on the island, at least doing something with her time. The area was called gravity cave, supposedly a place filled with all kinds of electric and steel type pokemon. It’d be an awesome place to get Numel and herself some practice while also maybe catching another.
The bus dropped them off only a short distance away from the cave, leaving the two to walk the last half a mile. ”Flare, you ready for this?” The pokemon looked up at the girl that was clad in only a ripped to hell shirt that resembled lose hanging rags more than a shirt and a pair of pants that had the knees blown out of them, the oddest part of the getup was the lack of shoes and the dark sunglasses that adorned her face. Even if she looked like a psychopathic bum, Flare simply nodded a bit as he lazily began walking towards the cave.
The great cave opened up like another dimension in front of them. It looked as if the entire inside was bigger than the outside they saw. ”Holy hell, this place is HUGE!” It took her a second to get used to the sheer scale of the inside cavern before she could lean down to her new friend. ”Well Flare, you thinking about exploring?” His dopey look said it all. ”hehe, Let’s get moving then.”

- Mod Post - The voiced echoed, obviously given that it was a pretty loud shout. Anyway, as you ventured through the cave, the crags on the sides had seemed to increase over time. Of course, there's probably nothing to it but who am I to know? Moving on, there was a fork that had appeared. One of the paths held several steel looking protrusions that should be a mighty painful thing if it did stab you. The other was relatively calmer, just a plain looking mass of ground to cross. There was also a Diglett who seemed to be lost. - Mod Post -

The caverns began to stretch on for nearly miles until something caught her. It was a fork in the road and she had no idea which way to take. ”Well flare, which way do you think we should take?” The Numel wasn’t even listening. A strange protrusion popping out of the ground had caught his attention as he went to investigate.
”Flare, what’s up?” Chi went to check out what flare had found and took a step back to see the strange creature popping its head out of the ground. It had a look of confusion and fear, at least from what Chi could tell. Placing her hammeraxe on the ground and leaning over, hand outstretched, she attempted to pet the poor thing. ”Hay little guy, what’s wrong?”

- Mod Post - That's cute. The Diglett found it to be cute too as it held on to your comforting hand like a lifeline, going as far as to nuzzle it even. Looking around, the Diglett got a confused look on its face again as it moved towards your Numel, avoiding the many spikes that patterned the way. "<Hi, do you want to go through?>" Asked the Diglett to Flare, given that it was in poke-speak so it'd be hard for you to understand it. - Mod Post -

Numel looked down at the small thing and gave a bit of a dopey smile before nearly falling on its own side in a happy bounce. Once Flare got it’s bearings on the surrounding area he looked back down at the diglett and smiled, nodding. Without a second glance he began walking down the path, oblivious of the spikes and walls.
Chi didn’t know exactly what was going on but enjoyed petting the little critter for a second before watching Flare start down his path. ”Oi Flare, where you taking off too?” He simply looked back at her and nodded with that same smile on his face before setting back off down the path. It was all Chi could do at this point to grab her hammeraxe and start following suite.

- Mod Post - The Diglett seemed happy as it circled around the Numel repeatedly as it listlessly followed him down the corridor that had broken spikes all around. It looked like the Diglett was having lots of fun. It also started wondering what you'd find down here in the caves. Maybe it was a weak steel type? Maybe it was something else? Either way, it was letting the Numel lead the way. - Mod Post -

Numel walked on with his chest protruded in a sign of pride. Granted it looked goofy as all get outs doing so. Smoke slowly streamed from the hole in his back as each step was taken, not even paying attention to the possible dangers that may lurk ahead. All flare cared about was showing off for his little Diglett friend.
Chi; on the other hand, had kept a very wide eye open for anything and everything that could come her way; the spikes that lay everywhere were catching her a bit off guard and unsettling something deep in her gullet. The hammeraxe rested firmly in both hands as anything could happen down this path. The only thing that kept her moving and not leaving immediately was the fact Flare seemed to push on without even a care.
Time would pass as they walked down the trail of the cave a little more with each passing minute. Watching Flare and Diglett actually progress so jovially actually caused her to relax slightly, even going so far as to crack a bit of a smile. It would be a far cry to say she let her guard down, but she had actually begun to enjoy herself and watch the two pokemon have fun.

- Mod Post - As fun as it is t watch a Diglett and Numel have fun while evading sharp silvery pointy objects, there was the matter that this place was filled with wild pokemon. As such, the flailing Geodude and Mawile that had appeared somewhere down the road shouldn't be a surprise. The two seemed to be arguing about something as a Graveler had tried to stop the two from quarreling. And even then, it looked ready to bust a move to make them shut up. - Mod Post -

Flare looked at the commotion that was going on just down the way and down at its little Diglett friend. He pumped out his chest just a little bit more and proceeded to approach the quarreling trio with the confidence of a dumb ass knight. When he approached it was fairly clear what he was trying to do and even kinda succeeded in actually saying what he meant to say. ”What’s going on here?” Granted his intro could have been better his words said what he meant.
Chi had already gotten ready for an assault and held her hammeraxe in front of her before noticing Flare doing what could only be considered as a foolishly brash move. But, trusting in his instincts over her own she approached as well, putting the weapon on her shoulder. Even if she couldn’t understand Flare she knew it was best to stay quiet and let him take the lead in what was going on, after all she couldn’t even understand any of them speaking at all.

- Mod Post - "<If you weren't so useless, we wouldn't be in this mess!>"The Geodude roared at the Mawile who was cowering in fear but refused to let herself be bested by a rock. Apparently, the Geodude was close to evolving into a Graveler like his older brother that was next to him but the Mawile had screwed up and cost the fight. The Graveler was already getting a head ache from all this and only more so when he saw a human standing there with a weapon. He wasn't going to take any chances, being attack by a human before and was almost caught, he didn't want the same thing to happen to his charge. "<Both of you, get ready for battle. We're taking these three down!>"It commanded as it rolled back, creating more space for everyone before going into a stance, his charges doing the same and was looking fierce. - Mod Post -

Chi saw the aggression coming, she actually had already prepared for it. Her weapon got prepared quick fast and in a hurry as she went to stand in front of Flare. ”I didn’t come here to cause trouble but if that’s what you want it’s with me, not him.” She was protecting her Numel, without thinking of herself.
Flare looked up at Chi with a look of dopey what the fuck. She was stepping in to fight against people pokemon on his behalf? Either she was very stupid or she had a much different idea of what it meant to fight. He wasn’t about to back down though, his fire had started to boil for his little Diglett friend. A couple steps forward had been stopped by a large weapon in his path.
Chi looked down at him and smiled a little before returning her gaze to the three that stood before her. ”If you can stop this and get back to being calm we can talk it out. I may not be able to understand you for shit but I know you understand me. Talk and we’ll see what we can do to help.”

- Mod Post - The Graveler was not convinced about your approach and went on still. He rolled next to the wall of the pathway, the spikes sticking out from every angle, including the ceiling up above. Flexing his rocky arms, the Graveler packed both pairs into one fist before smashing the cave with an Earthquake, causing the pathway to shake violently and let spikes fall from the ceiling. Several already landing down while the others took their sweet time dangling up there. And it didn't stop there. The graveler not only caused the entire tunnel to shake, it even used the side wall and launched a Stone Edge towards the Numel, the massive amount of stones creating a tidal wave of rocks that was sure to hurt a lot. The Mawile on the other hand was frozen stiff and refused to battle, choosing instead to run and hide behind a massive boulder in hopes of waiting out the fight. The Geodude just watched the battle go on. - Mod Post -

Chi dived out of the way from the spikes that brought themselves down. One had taken a chunk from her shirt, cutting her side and arm as it came down. The searing pain went through her but the wound wasn’t deadly or even serious. The spikes that held themselves on the ground cause her to bleed a bit upon landing, thankfully none of them caused serious damage.
Flare saw the attack coming and tried to hide, managing to move away from most of the deadlier spikes that would fall. When the rocks began to fly towards him Flare tried his best to dodge out of the way, again hitting the floor with all of his speed. It was a successful dodge, but a close one. He was a little shaken up from the earthquake itself but over all remained safe from serious damage.
Upon getting up his body began to glow with a brown aura and he looked back at his little Diglett friend, telling him to get away. Using every ounce of might his had Flare slammed his front legs on the ground, causing a kind of earthquake that felt much different. More of the deadly spikes fell as Flare seemed to be protected by divine grace, having none of them come anywhere near him.
Chi saw Flare’s attack and instantly reacted, looking to the roof of the cave to dodge the coming slam of falling spikes. A spike that was particularly large fell towards her. In a moment of pure rage and desperation she didn’t dodge but instead took her hammeraxe by the handle and swung hard, slamming the broad side into the spike and sending it flying towards the wall, smashing into useless rocks.
When she was done her eyes looked at the pokemon with pure rage and blood-lust. Her weapon came up to point directly at him in an open challenge. No words came from the bloodied and enraged girl, simply the aura of a killer born again.

- Mod Post - <"Get out of the way and run!"> The Graveler shouted as he fell to his knees, dragging himself to the ground to try and avoid the blunt of the earthquake. The attack had managed to let some more things from up above get loose and fall but the Graveler was well away from them. It still did sting though. The other two had gawked at what was happening before they both started to quake in their own fear as they saw the fight keep going. The Geodude gathered up its hands before pushing himself away from the fight. Rolling out towards the Mawile and dragging her with him, going deeper into the cave. Once they were some more distance away, the Graveler let go of the ground before grabbing the steel spikes with his four hands. Banging them loud, alerting the cave of an intruder, the Graveler then proceeded to lob them up in the air before sending another Stone Edge at the Numel, wanting to crush it, before rolling into a ball and back, following after his charge. - Mod Post -

Chi looked at the Graveler with a look that would kill should looks kill. The other’s retreat got ignored as she was focused on the Graveler, waiting for the perfect moment to bring it to its knees. The loud ringing filled her ears as it echoed through the caves, deafening her for a brief moment, actually bringing the near homicidal girl to her knees in further agony.
Numel barely noticed the attack coming in this time as his focus was around Chi. the attack slammed him hard in the side, causing great gashes in his side, spilling the molten contents that fill his body. Pain caused the poor pokemon to be knocked out, not leaving it a chance to fight further. In a final desperate plea it called out, losing consciousness shortly after.
Chi’s hears were bleeding from the ringing call that went through the caverns of the cave. She still stood out of sheer determination alone. The faint call of Flare brought her back from her psychopathic rage though, snapping her to the reality of the situation. Flare was hurt grievously, and she was his only hope of survival. In a state of panic all worry about herself or the Graveler fled her, instead being poured into Flare as he was returned to his pokeball.
Within an instant she went to run out of the cave but remembered she had followed Flare and a Diglett this deep. Her voice rang out in the caves as panic was setting in. ”DIGLETT!” She looked around frantically for the little thing before finding it not far off. ”I need help, get me the fuck out of here and to a pokemon center for Flare. Do that and I’ll make damn sure to make you something good.” Even if the pokemon was wild her determination was burning like a raging flame. She was desperate and didn’t care where help sprang from.

- Mod Post - Of course, at the sight of seeing you and your trusted pokemon fall in battle, the Graveler had hastily turned his back and ushered an exit on all remaining pokemon that in his small team. Soon enough, another pair of Geodudes could be seen rolling after the Geodude. Looks like there were more members than first thought. Now that you and your group are relatively safe, the Diglett had began pumping up and down faster as it became increasingly worried about his supposed new friend that was in grave danger. The Diglett then started digging towards you, trying to create a big enough hole to let you two pass and bring you back to the exit. It was trying really hard, her hardest to be exact. Maybe using a Potion or Two could help ease the pain on the Numel before returning it to a pokeball. - Mod Post -
