POSTING RULES
FOR THE PA ANNUAL TALENT SHOW!
FOR THE PA ANNUAL TALENT SHOW!
For Participants:First off, remember that judges will decide winners based on writing talent. This is includes (but is not limited to): vocabulary, grammar mechanics, punctuation, originality, syntax, tone, etc.
If you are a solo act, then you are allowed one post in which you write out your performance. At the end of your post, please post a time mark to give readers a feel for how long your performance actually was.Example:(6:13)
*for a performance that is six minutes and thirteen seconds long.
If you are a group act, then each member of the group is allowed one post to contribute to their act. This means that some planning outside of the performance thread should take place to create a coherent post volley. The last member of the group to post should include the time mark at the end of their post.
Performance threads are to be posted within one month! Any act to not have posted in one month's time will be disqualified from the show (unless I am PM'd with a good reason as to why the deadline was not met). Feel free to use the MC in your posts. Good luck!
For Non-Participants:You are not obligated to post at anytime during this process. However, posts from non-participants would be fun to read, can be done for character development, and also earn money for the poster. In short: you don't have to, but it sure doesn't hurt to do so.
If you do wish to post, please know that you do not have to post a reply to each performance. It is perfectly fine to pick-and-choose which performances to reply to; or reply to them all, if you want. However, you may only post one reply per performance.
For Judges:Remember that you are judging based on these qualities:
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
- Mechanics
- Originality
- The Performance's Appeal
You are voting on a 10 point scale with .5 increments.Example:Contestant One: 5.5
Contestant Two: 7
Contestant Three: 4.5
Contestant Four 8.5
One PM with your final judgement on it will be sent to me after you have read all of the acts and scored them. I will then add up the scores and present them in an in-character post.
