She wore a red and black long sleeved collared shirt with a plain white shirt underneath it; a gray scarf was tied around her neck, and on her head wore a lighter shade of gray beanie, and wore black skinny leggings. As she walked to find a bench to sit at, she could hear her black metallic ankle boots clacking against the tough ground. She could vaguely see the full moon as she looked at the darkened sky and couldn’t help but think the moon was beautiful. It had a mysterious quality about it that very much appealed to her. Beside her was her proud female onyx-colored Ninetales, Persephone who fortunately finally respected her enough to obey her and not insult her every single waking moment. That was a nightmare. It took a good few weeks for her Ninetales to began to fully trust her. Sage wasn’t sure what she did but she was glad everything worked out just fine. Sage always wondered how her Ninetales came to have a crimson red diamond on her forehead. None of the other Ninetales had that unique feature like Persephone did, which included her unusual different colored fur. Sage finally spotted a nice looking green bench right next to a tall lamp post and proceeded to sit down and put her brown backpack beside her. Her Ninetales nuzzled her hand and sat right in front of Sage as if protecting her. Sage widened her eyes from her Ninetales nuzzling her hand because it was a rare sight seeing Persephone being affectionate. Sage asked out of curiosity, “So Persephone, why so affectionate today?” Persephone huffed, “Is there a law I can’t be affectionate toward my Mistress?” She replied confusingly, “What?” Her Ninetales sighed, “I’m just expressing my gratitude toward my Mistress. You’ve proven me wrong.” “On what?” “I’ve been alone for so long. Things happen. Now I remember how it feels to trust others and feeling of others caring for you.” Sage finally realizing how much her actions meant to Persephone, she grinned, “Anytime Persephone.” Suddenly, Dobby popped out of his poke ball and plopped himself onto Sage’s head. She winced, “You’re a bit heavy,well more than a bit heavy.” Dobby was almost the same weight as her by twenty pounds or so. She grumbled at the troublemaker, “Get off Dobby” as she grabbed and was about to put him back into his poke ball but instead, he got out of her grasp and ran away. Sage sighed and told Persephone, “You know what to do.” Persephone nodded and chased after Dobby who was a good distance from her at the moment. But Sage wasn’t worried at all, she knew Persephone would eventually catch Dobby since she was at least twice as fast as her Darumaka. Then she couldn’t help but laugh when she saw Persephone about to grab Dobby but instead, he jumped onto her back and ran the other direction making Persephone confused and sent her sprinting the other direction as well. Though it seemed that her Ninetales wasn’t going as she usually would in a battle. Maybe she was giving him a chance? All in all, the chase was starting to become an amusing sight. created by ADE! Sure, she could go spend time with her friends, but then the question was, who was really her friends and who were simply people she knew? She'd feel horrible if she just intruded on someone she only knew. Out of boredom both Ai; the Aipom and Yumiko had decided to go for a walk. It was chilly this evening, and Yumiko were prepared for once, not like that time in the Ice cave, yep, that surely had not been a happy experience, then again the fact she had been alone with Laz did make up for it quite a lot. While she were walking in the light of various light sources, Ai made his way around the various obstacles with ease and an elegance only found in the Aipom specie. His mind was as clouded as the trainer's. His mind was filled with thoughts of the beautiful Mawile. He had been lucky with her, she had accepted offerings of such incompetence that he was surprised that she had accepted them in the first place. He had to do better next time, maybe some clothes! His trainer had lots of it, surely she would not miss any of it. His attention were quickly drawn away from the girly problems when he noticed a bunch of quick movements. A Ninetales were hunting an innocent and defenseless Darumaka, Ai weren't going to have that happening while he was on duty. Aipom found the nearest and highest place he could and jumped at the Ninetales in hopes of saving the Darumaka. "AIPOOOOOM!" Sounded his battle-roar as he jumped down ready to kick the Ninetales right in the face. It was at this point that Yumiko realized that Aipom weren't near her. But where was he? She heard his voice and hurried to where it came from. "AI, NO!" Yumiko exclaimed when she saw what was going on. [/style]

She needed to practice her drumming skills so when she came back home, she wouldn’t be rusty and forget her drumming abilities. But before she got her red headphones out of her backpack, she spotted an Aipom from the distance who looked very energy. Was that her best friend’s Aipom? Uh no, she remembered her Aipom had already evolved a while back. So was that a wild Aipom or was that a new trainer’s Aipom? She guessed the latter. But where was the trainer? She brushed away that thought was she finally saw her Ninetales right about to catch Dobby and sighed in relief, not wanting her Darumaka to run away and cause some mischief around the Pokemon Academy. Suddenly, she widened her eyes seeing the Aipom jumping down and who looked ready to attack her Ninetales. Sage wondered if she should intervene but knowing Ninetales, she knew when to tone it down but still had the habit of intimidating others who got in her way. Once the Aipom jumped down, Persephone swiftly dodged it, leaped up as she proceeded to bring her right paw down hard on Aipom and snarled menacingly at the monkey-like pokemon. Sage panicked but regained her composure ordering her Ninetales with a firm voice, “Persephone stop it now. Don’t scare the poor guy.” Then Sage heard from the distance a trainer yelling for the Aipom to stop from attacking her Ninetales. It was already over though. Persephone huffed submitting and replied sharply, “Fine Mistress” as she backed away slowly glaring at the Aipom daring him to try anything on her again. Her Ninetales walked proudly back to Sage’s sided and by this time, Dobby seemed to be tired and settled to resting on the bench Sage was sitting. For his attack was easily dodged, and he soon found himself caught underneath the Ninetales paw. He'd have to think of something quick. Maybe he should try a Hyper Beam! Sure he had no idea of how to even use such a high class attack, but on TV the hero always got super power upgrades whenever they found themselves in such a sticky situation. And obviously Aipom was the hero, right? Yumiko had luckily made her way over here and ordered Aipom to stop what he was doing before the whole thing would escalate. The Ninetales trainer seemed to be of the same mindset and called the Ninetales off. Yumiko couldn't help but hope that this little event had at least taught Aipom to be a little more careful. But after he had made his way over to her, that quickly showed to not be the case. Because it turned to Ninetales, pointed its' ass towards the Ninetales and tauntingly clapped his butt. "AI, stop annoying the Ninetales!" Yumiko immediately ordered. The Ninetales trainer asked if Ai was her Aipom. Yumiko nodded and said. "Yes he is. And I apologize for his behavior." Ai obviously didn't seem to think anything was wrong, in fact he seemed more annoyed at being told to stop, and he made that evident by pouting and crossing his arms over his chest. "My name is Yumiko, and this is Ai." She gestured for the Aipom as she introduced themselves politely. "And you are?" She asked looking at Sage and the to be honest quite beautiful Ninetales. Although Persephone had toned down her fiery temper, she was still unpredictable with her heavy battle experience and explosive temper of a scorned woman. Sage knew Persephone hated being mocked and would retaliate with a vengeance. She hoped this wasn’t the case since she rather not cause a scene in front of a new trainer. While her Ninetales was walking back to her, Sage could plainly see her Ninetales twitching every few seconds as if sensing she was being mocked without even looking. She widened her eyes seeing the Aipom clapping his butt at her Ninetales and could only think if this little guy had some death wish tonight. She whispered, “Good job Persephone” as her Ninetales laid down next to her and tried to ignore the little annoying Aipom. By this time, Sage returned her Darumaka and put his poke ball back onto her silver belt. She had an itching feeling that somehow her troublemaker and sly Dobby had intentionally caused this little scene when he played the little victim when in reality, he was probably having a blast in having the leader of the group chase him around the courtyard. And the trainer who Sage saw did confirm that the Aipom was her pokemon and Sage sighed asking, “Why’d your Aipom try to attack my Ninetales?” and paused trailing off, “Unless he thought Dobby needed to be rescued…” She continued, “Anyway, it’s alright. Just try to have Aipom not cause trouble to Persephone?” She hummed thinking and looked at Aipom knowingly, “My Darumaka was being a troublemaker again, Persephone was tryin’ to stop him from causing more chaos. But you showed a lot of courage in front of my Persephone,” even though it wasn’t very smart and foolish, “Courage Is a great trait to have though you need to know your limits.” That was definitely sugar coating what she actually wanted to say. She sort of wanted to say, “Piss Persephone off, you’ll die,” Not literally though. It was just that she can be very vicious when she was angered. Sage shuddered inwardly remembering that from experience. After the girl trainer introduced herself as Yumiko and her Aipom as ironically, Ai, Sage greeted them with a foxy grin, “Name’s Sage,” and looked at her Ninetales with a proud smile, “And this here is Persephone.” Her Ninetales growled seeing the annoying Aipom from the short distance. She glared and put her head to the side as she tried to catch up on her beauty sleep. Sage lent out her arm to shake Yumiko’s arm and added, “It’s nice to meet you Yumi.” She continued proudly, “I’m the only fire specialist trainer ‘round here. Got a whole team now.” She was damn proud of being the only fire specialist in the island and selfishly hoped it would stay that way. Her true goal was to become the top fire specialist trainer and eventually, the best fire type gym leader in the whole way. Those were big dreams indeed but she knew if she stuck with it, she will reach her goal. She asked curiously, “You’re a new trainer right?” and continued with a foxy grin, “I’ve been here for a while so if you ever need help or anything, I’ll try my best to help you out.” She giggled, “Contrary to what others think, I don’t bite. Per might. I just can’t stand people who diss me or my friends.” She remembered Claire who hated her guts and called her a bitch but Sage fortunately verbally cut her down swiftly. Okay, maybe she does bite hard verbally but that was a whole other issue. That was hurt her or her loved ones and you’ll be bitched at by a pissed off fiery Sage. She continued giving space for Yumiko to sit and asked wondering, “How’s PA so far?” Sage remembered when she was in the black dorm, she disliked living in the farm house and hated the fact that she didn’t have a choice or chance. Her tester just yelled out black dorm and tossed her a poke ball and that was it. She hoped everything was alright with Yumiko and not like her experience when she first began. created by ADE! That made her feel quite horrible to be honest. Sage questioned Yumiko about the reasons behind Ai's behavior. To be honest she couldn't understand it either, it was something weird, but it seemed to be that Aipom thought he was some sort of hero that needed to save the weak. "I have no idea why he did it. I guess it looked like the Ninetales were going to hurt Dobby." Aipom said referring to the Darumaka by name instead of by the name of its kind. She did however still find herself using the word Ninetales instead of her name. "I'll try, but Aipom have a tendency to do as he pleases." She sighed as she made a mental node of remembering to refer to the Ninetales as Persephone. Aipom had not been prepared for the training praising him for his courage. Ai blushed slightly as he scratched the back of his head and said "Ai Ai." He was saying something about just doing his duty but he was too embarrassed to actually formulate the words properly even in a Poke-sentence. After the proper introduction were over and done with, both Yumiko and Sage shook hands while Sage informed that she were the only fire specialist on the Island. "Woah, that's cool! I mean Hot..." She got kind of confused because she had no idea if she should refer to it as hot, which kind of sounded weird, but cool certainly didn't fit the description either. "Yeah I am a new trainer." She smiled as she confirmed what Sage said. She also chuckled slightly as Sage said a comment about her not biting, however she certainly made sure to tell Yumiko that Persephone won't be having the same restraints. “And I am doing alright here. I was placed in black dorm, but I do not mind.” Yumiko replied as Sage asked her how she was doing here at the Academy. [/style]

Here’s some advice. Keep him busy. If he wants to become a hero based on what I saw, train him up and maybe he’ll actually be that hero someday.” She I would like to see that someday.” She heard her Ninetales snort in disbelief as if she had no faith in that happening any time soon. Gosh, she was so judgmental sometimes. She scolded lightly at her Ninetales, “Play nice Per” as Ninetales huffed and let out a small flame from her mouth in irritation. But in all seriousness, Sage was taught never to play the hero, only if it was for her own benefit and she had to maintain her own sense of self-preservation. Although that mentality was drilled into her brain since she was young, she couldn’t help the urge to help others. It used to be if I help you with something, you better help me when I need help too. It was cut down your enemies or be crushed. That wasn’t the right mentality to make friends. She felt better about herself if she just helped others just because they needed help. Besides, wasn’t love and friendship unconditional? Hearing Yumiko’s Aipom not being able to form a coherent pokemon reply, she giggled at his cuteness and patted his head. She felt nostalgic remembering her best friend’s Aipom who like this Aipom, was very enthusiastic except for the wanting to be a hero complex. Sage laughed casually and replied with a foxy grin emphasizing, “It is definitely hot—literally speaking. Sometimes it gets too damn hot training my fire-types that I come back home sweating like hell.” She added admitting, “Actually, my starter pokemon was a Chikorita. Ironic isn’t it? Zeal finally evolved into A Meganium like one or two months ago. He’s out relaxing at the ranch. Was my main attacker and awesome support, still is. He deserves a rest you know?” She did feel a little bit bad about leaving him there when his favorite hobby was battling, very different than how a normal Chikorita—no Meganium would act. At least he had some understanding of her desire of becoming a fire type specialist though he was pissed off for a while when she first told him the news of her goal. Hearing Yumiko respond saying she didn’t mind being in the black dorms, Sage mused of how she disliked being in the black dorms since there were some arrogant and bitter students in the black dorm complaining of being placed in the lowest ranking dorm. She disliked living in a farm house but decided to withhold her complaints since she wanted to stay under the radar and keep a low profile, not catch anyone’s attention. Well, until she caught the eye of Laz that is. She replied, “You sure you don’t mind living in the farm house. It’s just that some of them were a tad bit overly aggressive when I was in the black dorm.” She sighed remembering this one guy who violently threw something out of the window. That pretty much got her nervous about her choice of entering the pokemon academy. But living out on the Endless Plains did have its perks though. She continued, “Well, at least you’re closer to finding wild pokemon living out there. That’s one of the good things ‘bout it.” She paused and admitted, “Once I think about it, I guess it wasn’t so bad.” Maybe she was so opposed to the idea of living at a farm house was because she enjoyed too much of her life as a city girl than anything else. It could be because she felt uncomfortable living in a place that didn’t resemble anything of a city. She changed the subject and grinned proudly at Yumiko, “Anyway mind if I show you my fire squad Yumi?” Her pokemon were probably very bored from not really doing anything today. She was supposed to take them to the beach side to relax but she had completely spaced out about that and forgot. It was because of that reason she wanted to let her pokemon out and honestly—she just was bored and wanted to kill some time. At least she met Yumiko, she seemed pretty interesting and down-to-earth. She took out five of her poke balls from her silver belt around her waist. Throwing all five of her poke balls up in the air, out came her Darumaka, Magmar, Numel, Houndour, and her Absol. Well, Celestine wasn’t a fire type pokemon but she was a great hit-and-run attacker and sometimes, an ace up her sleeve that no one would expect her to have. The first pokemon to land was her Magmar, Huo who automatically gave Sage a thumbs-up and grinned at the other trainer. The next pokemon to pop out was her female Numel, Amor who acknowledged Yumi and turned away as she began to talk animatedly to Huo. Her Houndour, Cerberus barked happily and nuzzled her side and glanced at the other trainer right after as he sniffed curiously as if wondering if she was a threat or not. Her Absol regarded Yumi and went back to Sage’s side looking like a sort of protector. Lastly, Dobby came out and seeing the Aipom, he chuckled probably knowing that the Aipom thought he needed rescuing and played the hero for nothing. He just wanted to use Aipom to irritate Persephone. Sage stroked her Houndour’s fur and stated happily, “And this is my fire squad. Well not all of it, I’m trading my Kirlia for a Charmander soon. Then my team will be complete. What do you think?” She paused remembering what she wanted to ask her earlier, “I know this is random, but I’m curious. Yumiko couldn't help but smile afterwards. Aipom were certainly not unaffected either. He created a facade of a serious face as he bumped his purple finger-lacking hand on his chest then saluted in some quickly improvised signal. Aipom then pointed at Ninetales and said. "I am going to be the best damn Hero in the world, just you wait!" His voice certainly carried the excitement required to become one. Of course Yumiko didn't understand what Aipom said, as it too her were simple variations of his name. But she could kind guess the meaning considering Persephone's actions. The topic then went on to Sage's wish of becoming a specialist in fire types. Yumiko didn't know a lot about that kind. They were to her known as too offensive, too dangerous. She was not an offensive trainer, however Aipom's lack of known defensive moves had caused her to be forced to fight offensively. She chuckled slightly as Sage described just how hot it was. However they did not stay on that topic for long, Sage went on to telling Yumiko that her starter were a Chikorita, a grass type the polar opposite of the type she now wished to become a specialist in. "I totally understand. I kinda feel sorry though. Him being left at the ranch. Can't imagine he was okay with that, was he?" Yumiko asked, she knew if she tried pulling that student on Aipom, he'd throw a bitch-fit. "Oh, haven't noticed those, I kind of mostly keep to myself." Yumiko said after the conversation had switched onto the Black dorm and its' dangers. She had heard those bragging trainers who thought themselves better, but she had never tried to as much as confront them about it. She had no intention of getting into fights. "Haven't really tried to catch that many Pokemons though. I kind of want the Pokemon's to chose for themselves if they want to join me, or not." Yumiko said her voice decreasing in strength as she admitted the later, she were also kind of insecure in her own capabilities of actually catching a Pokemon, but that was something completely different. "But yeah, it isn't bad there." She lastly replied before Sage asked if she could show her, the team she had gathered. Yumiko nodded and so it was done. A variety of fire types as well as one other type were summoned from their containers. Two of them went on to taking protective positions around their trainer, two others seemingly started a conversation, and the sneaky little bugger Dobby seemed to just enjoy himself. Aipom however quickly went to work, he wanted to ride that Numel! With a quick run and a jump he firmly placed himself on the back of the Numel, however he did not stay there, he climbed over the neck and onto the Numel's head where he gently bent over and said. "Helloooo!" In a friendly greeting using his native Poke-language. "I think they are pretty awesome!" Yumiko said smiling at Sage, however she then noticed the Aipom. "uh oh... Is it alright that he is doing that, or should I call him back?" She questioned looking at Sage, but pointing at Aipom on the Numel. "And I wanted to become a good like my mother. So, I kind of thought this would be a smart place to start." She said admitting her choice and the reason behind it. Of course little did she knew her mother had done her own kind of persuading in making Yumiko come here, and she had done it so successfully that Yumiko didn't have a clue. "And you? What made you want to come here?" She asked right back. [/style]

It seemed rather cute too when he continued with his antics. For some odd reason, the aipom reminded her of her own starter pokemon, Zeal who looked so serious and proud. At least her starter pokemon didn’t dive into the action, most of the time. She did miss Zeal being by her side but he understood that she needed to train the younger pokemon to make them strong too. But her Ninetales gradually became great company and eventually a great friend of a pokemon to have around. But sometimes Persephone can be too sarcastic and snappy. When the aipom proclaimed he would become the best hero in the world, Persephone scoffed, “I doubt it kid. You’re too reckless” and continued cleaning her paws afterwards. Persephone believed that wanting to become a hero was for idealistic fools. When Yumiko had commented on her leaving Zeal at the academy’s pokemon, she replied, “I think he’s doing just fine right now. I mean he was fine with it especially since he had Luca, my rufflet to keep him company as well as oh Kai too. They’re close friends. Out of all my pokemon, I’ve trained him the most and hardest. But now, he deserves a break after finally evolving twice and we’re both happy though I think he’s itching for a battle lately because of his defeat against an ice type. But I don’t want him to get crushed again.” It was interesting that most of her pokemon who weren’t fire types were mostly laid-back and serious too but her fire types, they had a variety of personality that she sometimes she had a hard time keeping up with. After the other girl said that she wanted pokemon to choose for themselves if they wanted to join her party or not, Sage came to the conclusion that Yumiko was at least a kind person. That was an admirable statement wanting for the pokemon to choose for themselves whether to join her or not. Sage replied, “That’s a nice mentality you have there. That takes patience. I sure need some patience. All my captures, I had to battle against them. Only one of them decided to join me of his own free will. And that was my first capture too. Be nice if all pokemon decided to just play with me and join afterwards.” But then she noticed that insecure tone of voice that she used to have when she was younger. She softened her voice and continued, “Um maybe we could find some pokemon together and hopefully have them become our friends too?” She smiled proudly at her pokemon party team and grinned ambitiously hoping to get her new charmander soon to complete her fire squad team. It was only a few days away until she’ll be able to trade her kirlia for Chiyo’s charmander, Ignis. Distracted by her thoughts, she almost didn’t hear what Yumiko was asking her right then and there. She replied, “Uh what? Oh thanks” and looked at her female numel and the other girl’s aipom with interested eyes. Should she intervene? She trailed off hesitantly, “Maybe I guess they’re just fine.” But then Amor body became hotter and hotter out of irritation and was about to get angry. She quickly said worriedly, “Get Aipom off! She’s gonna…” But Sage quickly returned her numel just in case something was about to let loose. She apologized, “Amor is quite temperamental. I forgot she doesn’t like strangers near her. Sorry.” That was interesting in what Yumiko said about her wanting to be as good as her mother and Sage felt uncomfortable hearing that. Her parents did help her in becoming what she was today in like defending herself. But she held some resentment over them in that they made her feel sheltered though they did say it was to keep her safe. She wanted more freedom for herself and that’s why she moved out of her home. She couldn’t stand it there. She didn’t exactly want to become like them. They didn’t really do anything wrong to her actually but she just couldn’t bring herself to totally like them. She muttered under her breath, “That’s nice…” And then the other girl asked her what was her reasons for entering the pokemon academy. She actually had no idea why she studied so hard and applied for the academy. She just wanted to be known for something, anything. That was it. She answered, “I guess I wanted to be known for something and be somebody. I actually didn’t have a true goal in mind. I just wanted to make a name out of myself.” But now she finally had a goal for herself, she continued, “I want to be the best fire specialist. To have my pokemon overcome any type disadvantage and any obstacle and to never give up.” And then she widened her eyes in surprise hearing her pokemon cheer her on listening to what she said. Her houndour barked at her to tell her something but she couldn’t understand. Then she asked, “Do you want to battle? Is that it boy?” He nodded and she asked Yumi, “Does your Aipom feel like battling today?” created by ADE! Pb-ified by WILL

Little did she notice the philosophical conversation going on between Aipom and Persephone. Albeit Aipom chose to start ignoring her when she started talking shizzle about his dream. He wished not to think that it was impossible, nothing was impossible that was what he believed. "Ah, yeah, he probably is. Who am I to tell? You are his trainer after all." Yumiko said smiling insecurely. She couldn't tell whether she was right or not, she had never met with Zeal, so obviously she had to rely on what Sage told her. And Sage sounded sincere. "Well you won't know if he will get crushed or not until you try." Yumiko said remembering the very same words being spoken to her by her mother every time she had lost. Yumiko nodded as Sage spoke of the patience required to actually catch Pokemon the way Yumiko intended to at least try to. "I guess it will help having a very social Pokemon by your side." Yumiko commented as she glanced over at Aipom. It was true, he was incredibly social, even though he did seem like quite the jester. "Sounds like a good idea!" Yumiko said enthusiastically as Sage proposed that they attempted to capture some Pokemon using the method Yumiko were going to use. Who knows maybe it would be easier with two more so than simply one? However the conversation quickly trailed off as Aipom did his usual gimmick with pissing off some random Pokemon, this time a Numel. Yumiko were about to yell for Aipom to get off just as Sage told her so, but the woman was faster and returned the Numel into its Pokeball. Aipom now having nothing to sit or stand on fell to the floor, but used his tail to bounce from the fall. "Don't worry about it, he should know better." She gave Aipom a very obvious angry glance, to which he merely shrugged. Yumiko nodded as Sage explained her reasons for coming to the academy. It was a simple reason, but a good one in Yumiko's opinion. Aipom made his way over to Yumiko, crawled up onto her head just as Sage asked if Aipom would like a battle. Before Yumiko could reply he replied with an "AIIII!" And a wave of his hand, which meant yes. "I think he does." Yumiko said smiling slightly, he was a feisty one this Aipom. "Do you want to do it here, or do you have somewhere more appropriate?" Yumiko asked, she was slightly concerned with putting everything around her on fire, considering her opponent were a fire specialist. As she spoke Aipom jumped down and position himself ready for battle at any point. [/style]

After Yumi asked her if she wanted to battle with her at the courtyard or someplace, she assured her, “Don’t worry. I’m not going to use those kinds of attacks here.” She looked at her houndour and apologized to him, “I’ll battle with you later. Don’t want to burn up the place here. I’ll make it up to you later.” Her houndour snorted in irritation but at the same time, understood what she meant and decided to lay down next to his friend, Celestine to watch the battle with her. She called her darumaka to her side who looked like he was already bored of not doing anything and seemed to be falling asleep. She grinned, “Bandit come on let’s battle!” He automatically stood up and rushed in front of her and stuck his tongue out at the aipom as if taunting him. Sage’s pokemon moved a good distance away from the battle field and watched with anxiousness if Bandit will be able to prove himself a good battler in their mistress’s team. Bandit didn’t really care about those things though, he just wanted to battle and have fun doing so. She put on a life orb necklace on Bandit to increase his attack power. She gave a foxy grin and ordered, “Let’s start off with Taunt!” Bandit smiled tauntingly at the Aipom, which would only allow the Aipom to use attack moves. 261 WORDS , YUMI

Aipom was excited. Sage started out. The Darumaka she had chosen as the fighter for this match used the move taunt. If Yumiko remembered correctly then Aipom would no longer be able to use any other types of attacks, besides attack moves. Aipom stood there, growling slightly at the Darumaka as it felt the taunting from it. It was not going to stand for it. "Scratch!" Yumiko commanded, a hand flew into the air pointing at the Darumaka as she did, it trembled slightly at the prospect of combat. Aipom nodded and charged at Darumaka. Yumiko would normally have started out with her agility + Swift combo, but due to taunt she was unsure how good an idea that would be. So, back to basics! [/style]

Sage grinned in satisfaction of her Darumaka’s taunt move worked and had affected the Aipom in that the pokemon wouldn’t be able to use any status moves increase any stats or affect her Darumaka, Bandit. But the thing was, she had to make the move Taunt to actually count and hopefully do some damage to the Aipom somehow. She knew that her Darumaka had a high attack stat and plus, was holding a Life Orb so his attack stat was higher by even a more percentage (30%). She just had to take advantage of that fact. Win or lose, this would be good battle experience for her mischievous little Darumaka but then again, she knew that he preferred to win of course. Bandit just didn’t want to win for others’ sake. He didn’t want to prove anything to anyone but himself. Then Sage suddenly heard Yumiko order her Aipom to use Scratch Attack and then her Aipom began charging at her Darumaka at a fast pace. Sage immediately ordered, “Charge back at the Aipom!” Her Darumaka began charging offensively at the Aipom and came closer and closer to the pokemon. The scratch attack grazed his side and she saw him winced but ordered him, “Fire Fang Now!” Bandit’s mouth became covered in red-orange flames and proceeded to bite hard on the Aipom’s side. Sage hoped that the Aipom wouldn’t be able to avoid the close-range attack from her Darumaka. -- WORDS , YUMI

Yumiko yelled the moment she heard Sage commanding her Darumaka to use fire fang. Aipom was too close, the scratch attack had caused it to be so. Aipom just barely dodged it, in fact he felt the fire licking against some of his purple fur. The fire was stronger than he expected! He silently were glad he had not taken a direct hit from that. "Swift, now!" Yumiko said as Aipom finished his dodge jumping. And before he had even taken a firm stance he spun around using his tail to activate the Swift move; which sent stars flying quickly at Darumaka. "Aipom!" One could hear the Aipom say happily as he did as he was told. A big smile on his face were evident as he stopped to see if his attack had hit, and or if it had actually caused any significant damage. [/style]
