there's a fire starting in my heart reaching a fever pitch and it's bringing me out the dark [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,10,true][atrb=style,background-image: url('http://i53.tinypic.com/wb98wn.jpg');,true] ROLLING IN THE DEEP !
The Pokemon: Persephone, Huo, Celestine, Amor, Cerberus, and Dobby It was a breezy and chilly walk up the Mt. Sunrise as Sage jogged up the jagged and rocky pathway to the spot where she planned to meet up with Rixie for some afternoon training. Maybe they could also become friends too? Sage did liked making friends whenever given the chance. Today, she wore her short black leather jacket over a v-shaped plain white blouse, and gray skinny jeans. Although it was sunny, the breezy wind made up for the hot weather. She kicked up a bare batch of dirt with her black and white pair of sneakers just for kicks. By her side, she had her brave Houndour barking happily and her sly Darumaka skipping along the way. Her Darumaka was beginning to become more obedient and caused less havoc nowadays since she recently realized that all she needed to do was keep him busy with much training and little chores to contain his abundance of energy. In a little amount of time, her Houndour named Cerberus become loyal to her and obedient no questions asked. But there was this internal problem between him and her female Ninetales, it seemed like he wanted to establish his dominance as a leader of the fire type party when Persephone had already established her place as the dominant leader of the group. Cerberus realized he definitely needed to become stronger by battling other pokemon no matter what. He needed to evolve and establish his rightful place as Alpha, not the equally tempermental female Ninetales. Where was Dobby’s position in the group? Nothing really. He just sat on the sidelines being amused by the internal affairs between the pokemon. Unfortunately, he was also the cause of some of the tension between Ninetales and the Houndour. So now here Sage was, waiting for Rixie to train with at the middle of the mountain on a large space of grounded dirt and a few large trees on the sides. She didn’t know Rixie that well since she only met her briefly at the forest when she was still going out with Laz. It felt like such a long time ago than how long that it really was. That first time she saw and observed Rixie, Sage had thought she was shy and a bit timid. But it had been a while and time can really change a person indeed. She felt nostalgic remembering when she was shy herself until her mother and father taught her how to defend herself verbally and physically and eventually she wasn’t sure how it happened but she gained confidence and become more outgoing than ever before. She also wondered what pokemon Rixie would use since she remembered that she had a Rhyhorn back then. The fire type pokemon she was going to use would be in such a type disadvantage if she used that pokemon in the battle. She wanted to battle with her Houndour because of his enthusiasm to become stronger and battle with her Darumaka to actually burn up some energy and she needed a powerful physical fire type attacker in her team. Dobby fit best in that category. Sage sighed at her struggles to maintain a good team dynamics in having her pokemon to get along. At least she had Zeal, Kai, and Huo to become the peacemakers in the group once in a while. She was irritated on just the fact that she used to come too early when she used to come too late before to places in general. Finally, she sat down on a patch of grass leaning against a shady tree as she took out her lack headphones to listen to some music to relax and calm down, while her pokemon sat down next to her looking anxious and excited for battling.

Pokemon: Slate, Sparky, Petal, Red, Seashell, Sunny
Rixie moved slowly, waiting for Slate to catch up. Sparky rid happily on her shoulder, making happy sounds of self-satisfaction, and Red at her heel. But Slate, who had Petal on his back, had to continually stop and coax Sunny to follow him. The young Numel was still horribly afraid of Rixie, and was only willing to come anywhere near her if he was safely behind Slate's broad shoulders and strong stone. She glanced at the Numel, who scurried behind Slate once again, and sighed. If only she could show it that she cared and wanted it to be happy.
She stiffened when Sparky made an excited whispering noise in her ear, and nodded. They were coming up on the girl who she'd met so long ago in the forest. They'd only just recently talked to each other again, and Rixie was more determined now that she would have to battle eventually. Best to take some practice runs with a friendly person than have to face a hostile one with no experience. She sighed and glanced at Slate. Sunny cowered behind him, fear in his eyes. Rixie winced. She was unused to having pokemon afriad of her, and the fact that Sunny was pricked her with no end.
Rixie looked over the mountainside and recognized the girl. "Hey! Excuse me! Zeal's trainer? I'm here..." She forgot the girl's name, but she easily remembered her Chikorita. She pulled out her last pokeball and threw it. Seashell appeared in a flooding of light. Rixie stood by her Tirtouga and awkwardly motioned towards the girl. "Are you in the mood for some training with a battle today?" The turtle-like pokemon gazed at Rixie with wisdom in her eyes, and she nodded. "Thanks, girl. I owe you."

The Pokemon: Persephone, Huo, Celestine, Amor, Cerberus, and Dobby Sage closed her eyes and whistling to one of her songs playing on her music player out of boredom since sometimes she tended to be impatient even though it had only been a few minutes of waiting for Rixie to reach the middle of the mountain. She had her Houndour, Cerberus be on guard if anything happens and to let her know if he saw a female trainer walking by the site. She wondered if he knew how a female trainer actually looked like. She could faintly hear the rustling of grass that was probably caused by her Darumaka who recently took a liking to bouncing up and down whenever he was bored. They were actually in the same boat in that sense. But being bored and waiting did have it’s perks, she could chill and practice her music though eventually she was going to become restless once again. It was just that anticipation for battle, how exciting it felt and the adrenaline rush and how it made her feel confident and in charge. Win or lose, battling made her feel alive even more so than performing music on stage. That reminded her, she still sucked at whistling. Why was she trying again? Oh yeah because she just wanted to. Not wanting to embarrass herself if someone past by, she settled for singing an old favorite, “Unthinkable (I’m Ready),” a cover song she planned to sing in her band once she came back home. Sage was slowly beginning to fall asleep until suddenly, she was startled by Cerberus’s barking and she immediately rubbed her eyes and stood up fully alert. Sage patted her Houndour’s head and asked curiously, “What’s up? She here yet Cerberus?” as he then nodded back at her and she look for Rixie but didn’t see her, “I don’t see her. So I’m going back to—“Suddenly, Cerberus nudged her back and led her to the edge of the hill where she saw Rixie and her pokemon coming up the hill. She admitted with a sigh, “I guess they’re almost here then” as her Houndour wagged his tail in excitement and barked happily. This was his chance to shine and get stronger and hopefully soon, take his rightful place as alpha in the pokemon party. Sage observed from a distance on Rixie’s pokemon and remembered that she had a Rhyhorn but didn’t know she had those other pokemon consisting of a Corphish, Oddish, Emolga, and Numel. She must have been busy catching pokemon and all. What caught her eye was the other trainer’s Numel, another fire type type! She had a Numel too, maybe they could do a Numel versus Numel battle but then again, she wasn’t planning on training Amor today. Maybe another time. Sage called for her Darumaka, “Dobby where’d you go this time?” She heard laughing from above and guessed Dobby was hiding on top of the tree. She called out and ordered, “Come right back down here, we got a battle!” She finally got a glimpse of him and saw his face lighten up in excitement and quickly jumped beside her. Finally, she spotted Rixie from the corner of her eye who asked if she was Zeal’s trainer. She smiled and replied, “Yup that’s me! I’m Sage. It’s nice to meet you again Rix. It’s been a while.” Sage watched as Rixie got out a poke ball and out came out a very pretty looking female Tirtouga. She complimented, “Nice Tirtouga you got there. What’s her name?” You don’t normally that kind of pokemon where Sage lived so she couldn’t help but appreciate how beautiful the pokemon looked. She glanced at her Houndour who happily greeted the Tirtouga and barked joyfully at everyone else. Her Darumaka, Dobby proceeded to poking the other trainer’s leg repeatedly that when Houndour noticed, he dragged him off to the side. Sage widened her eyes at the sight and apologized, “Sorry ‘bout that,” and continued, “So you were saying something about having a battle right?” She grinned and agreed, “Of course, I love battling!” She paused in thought, “I was thinking of having two battles since I’m planning on training my Houndour and my Darumaka today. That cool with you?” Sage called Cerberus to come to her and continued, “I’ll be using Cerberus first. He’s been a bit battle hungry lately.” She walked a good few distances away from Rixie to make space for the battle and waited for Rixie to begin the battle.

Rixie nodded slowly, somewhat reluctantly. "Two battles... should work." She motioned for Slate to come closer. He did, quite readily, bowing his head to he other trainer as he approached. Sunny rolled his eyes uneasily, and shied away from Rixie, refusing to come anywhere near her even though Slate was doing so. Rixie winced as though his shying away had done her physical pain, and she fretted softly. Pushing it to the back of her mind, she leaned over Slate and plucked Petal off his back.
"I know that Seashell has an advantage over your fire types, so I figure it's only fair to balance it out with a pokemon that has a weakness to your fire types," Rixie said softly. She set Petal down. The small Oddish looked up at Rixie with wide eyes. "Don't worry," she whispered, ruffling the Oddish's leaves. "I promise that I won't drive you too hard. If you feel too scared or hurt to continue, just tell me. We can forfeit the battle if we have to." The Oddish nodded understandingly, "Okay, Mama Rixie. I'll do my best."
Petal then stood to face the Houndour. She shook a bit at the hungry glint in the fire type's eyes. She really didn't like this. "Well then, let's start the battle! Petal, use Poison Powder!" Petal shut her eyes tightly and focused on releasing a large cloud of poisonous dust to surround her enemy.

Sage smiled at Rixie as she agreed with her replying, “That makes perfect sense. Got to keep the battle fair and square right?” She patted her excited battle-ready Houndour Cerberus and watched the other trainer’s starter pokemon. Well, he looked respectful seeing him bow his head toward her. She curiously noticed that the Numel seemed to have no intention of coming forward. Was the Numel scared of her or Rixie? It seemed strange. But pokemon all had their own experiences and unique personalities. It was understandable she guess. She just hoped the Numel would grow to like Rixie one day if the Numel was actually afraid of her own trainer. From the corner of her eye, she noticed the pain on Rixie’s face and sympathized with her. It must suck for her having a pokemon afraid or not liking her. She heard Rixie sounding a bit hesitant in the way she agreed to a two battle fight against her pokemon. Sage sighed wondering if she was too persistent but maybe not since it wasn’t like she ordered Rixie to have a two-battle fight.
She saw Rixie bring out a small pokemon, an Oddish to be exact. So Oddish for the first battle and a Tirtouga for the next battle. Thus, she and Rixie would both have advantage and disadvantage over each other. Now the battle begins. She heard her Houndour growling at the Odddish who seemed to look a bit nervous. But Sage had a gut instinct that thigns would become different or probably different once the battle began. She heard Rixie order her Oddish to use Poison Powder on her Houndour and felt nostalgia remembering ordering her starter pokemon to use poison powder multiple times. At least it wasn’t toxic. She had to make her move. She was an offensive battler and wanted to train her pokemon to be conditioned for pain even with their lowering health points. She yelled ordering her Houndour, “Charge toward the Oddish! Nasty Plot! Ember!” She knew she was harsh ordering Cerberus to be in pain by being poisoned by he wanted to prove himself. This was his chance. It was a good thing that he was twice as fast as the small pokemon. As he charged, he used Nasty Plot howling loudly and thinking of bad thoughts of destroying the Oddish as his special attack stat sharply increased. He twitched feeling himself being poisoned but still, coming closer and closer to the Oddish, began to shoot out powered up bolts of fire from his mouth toward the Oddish.

Petal squealed in fright, and flung herself to the ground, barely hearing Rixie's desperate call, "Sleep Powder!" Still face-down on the ground, Petal summoned up a rush of powder from the core of her leaves, and it burst out straight into the Houndoom's face as he charged her down. Brilliant shimmers of light moved this way and that as the force of fire shot through the powder. The impact caused the remaining Sleep Powder to explode into soft, sleep-inducing powder that showered around the Houndour like a cloud of feathers.
Still, several balls of flame ate their way through the powder and singed Petal's leaves. One slammed straight into her face as she began to look up, and she fell back, crying out, "Odd!" Rixie gasped and clutched at her own face, as though she could feel the pain of her pokemon herself. Slate tensed, rolling his eyes anxiously, snorting fiercely. "Master, please, she can't take this..." he begged.
But Petal was already struggling to her feet. Unable to think of anything else, Rixie called out, "Moonlight!" Petal closed her eyes, and a soft glow radiated from her body and leaves as she healed herself. When she opened her eyes again, she still seemed a bit shaky, but the worst of the burns were healed.
