Solo walked down the beach his eyes lifeless as he stared out absently at the waves crashing on the beach. His pokemon were on his belt, and his egg was secured firmly in his arms. She had taken good care of his pokemon while he had been gone, but that didn't take away the break. Him leaving was beyond his control, and he had hoped that she would wait for him, but that dream was gone, and now all he had left was his burning desire to become the strongest. Only his pokemon were left now, and they were the only ones he had left that he could depend on. Isis, Mars, Magma, and of course Aegis. Not to mention the pokemon that resided in the mysterious egg that he had been carrying around for the past few days. Throughout it all however his drive to become the strongest never left him, and no matter what he would achieve his goal. Not even heartache would be able to stop him from his dream, but still he had wanted to change...if only for her. She was suppose to be the one that changed him, but that dream was dead, and with that dream went what little bit of light he had held on to.
Shaking his head he stared up at the night sky his deep blue eyes piercing in the night. I am Solo Alexander Rose! I will not wallow in self pity just because I was hurt. That is not who I am, and it never will be! he mentally shouted to himself, but even with all that he still couldn't find it in himself to stay cheerful for long. The darkness that was usually in him was now manifesting itself, but instead of him using it against his pokemon he would now turn his energy against everyone else. Solo was broken, and even broken he was still going to be strong enough to destroy those that stood in his way, and no matter how tough they were he would make sure that in the end he was the last one standing. He would be the strongest, and Lazarus would be no more once he was done with him. That was the only thing that was keeping him going at this moment. Was the thought of his victory sitting on top of the rest of the students as the strongest.
"This is my dream...I will make it come true no matter how black my soul becomes..." he said quietly to himself as he continued to look up into the sky.

She felt secure and confident that she was in the pokemon academy that from a lowly black rank student, she made it all the way to the silver rank. She had a gut feeling that she was meant to do something big and known, to make a name for herself. She wanted to be the best fire specialist ever in the whole wide world. She knew that she’ll be able to do it if she just had the right drive. She shivered a bit realizing it was chillier than she had thought it would be since she only wore a red tank top and blue denim short shorts. She was actually going to sleep soon but she wanted to feel the ocean, very spiritually uplifting especially when she had negative thoughts in her mind. She didn’t even bring her slippers with her this time so she could feel her feet mold into the smooth sand. It felt nice and warm, a soothing feeling. She could already smell the salty azure ocean that tickled her senses. She was enchanted by the silver moon that beckoned to her like a distant star as she felt herself walking closer and closer to the ocean’s shore. She felt like she could almost touch the moon beams floating upon the waves, if she could only reach out to it. She was so close yet so far apart. She closed her eyes feeling cold azure waters against her feet sending her shivers through her spine. It was probably low tide since she could even hear the smooth sand rustling with the wind. She smiled softly opening her eyes realizing it was a nice and spiritual given to her when no one else was in this grand landscape that probably no one else appreciated this much as she did.
But apparently she wasn’t alone in this beautiful night; a shadowy figure from the distance caught her crimson eyes in wonder. Who was this darkened figure she caught sight of? She walked hesitantly hoping the person wasn’t of a threatening nature but at the same time, wondered who this curious person awake was at this hour. The first thing that caught her scarlet red soft eyes was the figure’s sapphire expressionless eyes. But this young man’s expressionless eyes suddenly stared fiercely into the abyss of the night. She was not oblivious to others’ emotions; the silver of the moon lightened this man’s face and could faintly realize that he was filled with an aching heart and sorrow. But there was this spark of a fire beginning to burn in his eyes. She cursed under her breath for her ongoing curiosity and her strange willingness to find out. Out of nowhere as if he was announcing it to the world, he proclaimed that he had a dream and would achieve this said goal no matter how black soul would become. She frowned and genuinely felt saddened by his proclamation especially on the last part. Who knows what a person would do in this state of mind especially saying even if his soul became blackened. She really wanted to show him that he could achieve that goal without blackening his soul. Why did he feel this way? Finally she walked closer to him and greeted flashing a genuine warm smile, “I’m Sage. It’s a beautiful night isn’t it?” She wanted to take it slow so hopefully, he’ll become comfortable with her at least. Then a light of recognition crept upon her face, “Are you Solo?” She had seen him a couple of times and heard his name in several conversations. So she was bound to actually stumble upon him sooner or later. But it was strange that she only caught of him now. |

Solo was content to ignore everything around him, but when he heard footsteps coming towards him he allowed his peripheral vision to encase the figure that he saw. It was a girl with silvery blonde hair that was reminiscent of his own golden blonde hair. Her eyes were a fiery crimson red, and she held the aura of someone on a mission. Something that he could relate too. Despite all of that he didn't really want to talk to her, and was getting ready before she introduced herself to him. “I’m Sage. It’s a beautiful night isn’t it?” she said to him, and looking around he supposed that the night was beautiful. Then thinking back he remembered hearing her name in passing, and only now did it click who she was to him. This was the girlfriend of the man whose title he wanted to take. Sage Ryland was the girlfriend, or rather ex girlfriend of Lazarus, and he couldn't help, but give a mental laugh at the irony of this meeting. He left so Lazarus went after Melody, and now here he was talking to Lazarus's ex...Oh how he hated the world.
Standing in this place wasn't good for him as it only reminded him of her, and the memories he had poisoned his mind, and heart. It was the first time he had met her, and it was their first date, where the two of them had kissed, and thinking of all this he shut down, and allowed an aura of coldness to surround him as he turned to face the girl that had just introduced herself to him. Sure it had only been one date, but he had opened up to her, and genuinely had feelings for her, and he thought that she felt the same, but alas his love story was to be one of tragedy. He was going to leave obviously he wasn't in the greatest of moods at the moment, and to reflect this his eyes frosted over with a layer of ice giving him a dangerous appearance. Then she asked if he was Solo, and a spark of curiosity came through his icy gaze. "How do you know my name?" he spoke to her his voice containing an icy edge that seemed to make the cold night air even colder. The egg that he was holding had started to move slightly, but he wasn't paying much attention to it at the moment.
Looking at her again he realized she wasn't really dressed for such coldness, and her clothing reflected it. Wearing a red tank top, and blue denim shorts in such weather was going to get her sick, but who was he to care. She must have known that it was cold out, but the goosebumps on her skin spoke otherwise, and he realized that if he wanted his egg to hatch it would have to be warm otherwise it might die, and that wouldn't be good in his current state of mind. Holding his egg in one hand he took out the pokeball's of Isis, and Apollo. Launching them in the air both of his pokemon came out, the Dark/Ice type Sneasel, and the Fire type Slugma waited for their trainers command. "Isis go grab some driftwood, and Apollo once she gets back use Ember to make us a fire. I don't want the egg to die because I neglected to keep it heated..." he spoke to them in a soft yet commanding tone, and Isis was soon gone in a flash.
With her natural speed it didn't take long for Isis to have them a nice pile of driftwood, and it wasn't long before Apollo used his fire attack to have a nice little campfire going. Sitting down on the sand he kept the egg close to the fire, and he waited for the girl to answer his question about how she knew them. Hopefully she would tell him something, but he doubted it...He had lost his faith in humanity, and pokemon were his only friends left.

Seeing his penetrating gaze staring right into her own crimson soft red eyes, she did feel a tad bit unnerved by the intensity of his cold eyes. Those icy blue eyes of his stare bore into her soul as if commanding her to quiver in fear, but she did not. Her pulse had quickened in the presence of his intensity. Why did it seem that he held some dislike over her when he hardly knew her at all? She hardly knew him for the matter. From the silence that occurred, like the unsettling mood, crashing waves sent their chorus of voices making up for that silence. His heavy face was like an open book to her, heavy with pain and dangerous. Something must have happened to him. It reminded her of her ex-boyfriend who was seemingly cynical and in pain because of his previous girlfriend. So she was used to dealing with this type of personality though it always made her pulse rush. This time, it seemed different somehow but she could’t pinpoint what it was. It was unsettling that when he asked her how she knew his name, she suddenly felt a cold burst of air. It actually made her shiver.
This night was supposed to be breezy, not this chilly as she felt goose bumps and skin’s hairs standing up. She had only planned to stay out at the beach for a little while for the purpose of relaxation but instead, it had the opposite effect. She did feel on edge tonight. She was obviously but then her comfortable new room was so close by that she could just leave and become warm right away. She spotted on the other trainer’s side, an egg and widened her eyes, “Your egg! It’s moving. I think it might hatch soon!” She was amazingly as the other trainer commanded his pokemon with a cool tone of voice but also, genuinely worried for his maybe soon hatching egg. Trying to think mind over matter as she tried to forget her cold for now, she replied to his question casually, “Anyway I’ve seen you around school and you know? People talk about each other. Heard you come up in some conversations,” and said nervously, “I’m no stalker! Really!” as she then ran her hand over her silver-blond hair in nervousness. These type of guys, really. They can be amusing but also unnerving. Boys.
All his pokemon were helping to keep his egg warm, shouldn’t she help too? It’ll be nice to do so since who wouldn’t want to help a pokemon egg to hatch? That would be probably someone heartless who wouldn’t. She was a fire specialist so of course she had some pokemon to help warm up the egg. She smiled warmly at Solo, “I’ll help too,” even though he might not want her to do so. Even if he told her no, she’ll offer and help him anyway. She took her two pokeballs from her silver rank belt and threw them upward as she saw two beams of light exit the pokeballs. She grinned proudly and said, “Let’s help him out mkay?” The first of her pokemon to come out was her proud onyx-colored with blood red eyes Ninetales, Persephone with an equally blood red diamond. She patted her Ninetale’s head and help keep the egg warm with Apollo laying close to the egg to keep it warm until the other pokemon brought driftwood. Persephone looked at Solo with calculating eyes as if daring him to tell her to not help. Unlike her mistress, she was not easy-going but a pokemon who hates others’ who dares to order her around besides her mistress of course. The next pokemon to come on was her male Houndour, Cerberus who barked happily at her as he leaped around. Sage giggled at his antics and told him, “Okay okay. We need to keep that egg warm. Follow the Sneasel and help her find some driftwood,” as he then nodded in understanding and ran after the Sneasel to help her find some driftwood. Sage turned back to Solo, “You’re in breeding class aren’t you? Lucky, I didn’t come to the class. Couldn’t get my own egg. Do you know what pokemon’s in the egg?”

With the introduction of Apollo's heat, and her Ninetails heat seemed to make the egg start to move faster, and the girl kept talking to him. Honestly he found her constant talking kind of annoying, and her pokemon the same. The Ninetails looked as if it were trying to intimidate him, but he showed absolutely no fear as he stared at it back looking at the magnificent creature before him. It had very unusual colors for a Ninetails, but he still marveled at its beauty. Ignoring her hyperactive Houndour, and staring back at the girl with his frigid blue eyes he realized that she shared her eye color with her Ninetails. How interesting... he thought to himself as he stared at the girl, and he moved the egg closer to the fire, and set it down next to the flames, so that Apollo, and Ninetails could take care of it there. Isis was off in the distance being a lookout for any unwanted intruders knowing that with her partial ice type she wouldn't be too good for the baby egg that was soon going to be joining her family. Apollo was using his superheated body to make it more warm, and too speed up the hatching. The egg was slowly moving faster with each passing minute. It wouldn't be long now...
Solo having gotten up walked over to the girl, and took off his black leather jacket, and handed it to the girl "It won't do my egg any good if you get it sick once it hatches..." he said looking away from her face. He was only doing it for the egg, and he didn't want his newborn baby pokemon to get sick because this girl was sick. I am only doing it for my pokemon... he told himself as he stared into the flames. The sparks from the fire seeming to melt the ice on his eyes, but this would only be an illusion to those that didn't know him. His entire body still radiated with the cold, foreboding aura that usually kept those around him at a distance. It was a defense mechanism that kept him from getting to close to others. He had only ever let it down for Melody, and well that backfired on him. The girl had asked him what kind of pokemon would be in the egg, after denying any claims of stalking him, and while he should have found humor in her claims he couldn't. It was like a parasite was sucking the happiness out of him a little bit at a time, and soon only hatred, and rage would remain in its place. Still she was helping him the least he could do was tell her what kind of pokemon it was. After all it hadn't taken him long to figure it out himself with a bit of research at the library.
"If I am correct...The egg will hatch into the Fighting Type pokemon Tyrouge..." he said to her his voice still containing that ever icy edge to it. She seemed as if she wanted to befriend him, and he couldn't allow that to happen again...No more. Solo would go on alone that is how he was meant to live, and that is how he would continue on going. No matter how black his soul became. Looking up at the sky he saw that there were more stars becoming present in the sky, and sometime during all the excitement the moon had come out. It reminded him so much of his first night with her, and the pain that it caused him made him want to just fall down, and not get back up. However he would never show weakness especially around someone that he didn't know. I will not become pathetic now...Not when I am so close to finally achieving my goal... he thought to himself as he fought down the lump that was forming in his throat.
Swallowing it down he turned back to face her the fire making his eyes seem colder, in its absence. "It is funny you know...The two of us meeting...You were once Lazarus's girlfriend, and I have sworn to defeat him at any cost, no matter how black my soul becomes...I would say that this meeting is the definition of ironic..." he said to her a cruel smile forming on his lips as he waited for her to take his jacket. He wondered how she would react to his statement, and if he had started to scare, or worry her yet...Whatever the case was this meeting was sure to lead to more.

This guy seemed different as if he wasn’t afraid of anything. For some reason, the thought of him being unafraid of anything made her feel uncomfortable. She wondered what this guy could be capable of doing as her thoughts darkened. She hoped she was right, she would try her best to help him overcome what troubles that had affected him that caused him to seem to have such an icy exterior. She sat down next to her ninetales and looked at the slugma, another fire type pokemon. There was this thing about fire type pokemon that drew her to them. It could be because fire was comforting and a tempting dangerous element. She closed her eyes as she felt the cool breeze blow against her bare face. It was chilly but somehow, felt comforting. She loved being so close to nature. That’s what she liked about this academy. Then she noticed the un-hatched egg shaking faster and faster. It was going to hatch very soon! She told him in excitement but not too loud, “The egg! It’s going to hatch!” She inched a bit closer for a better look especially that she was excited and has not experience seeing a pokemon being hatched before.
She had shivered feeling more of the chilly winds of the night and wished she had brought warm for this time of the day. She widened her soft eyes inn surprise seeing him offer her his black leather jacket. She didn’t expect him to help her out. It was bad to be judgmental but she had assumed that he was a person who didn’t care about others, well maybe just care for himself and his pokemon at least. Seeing him look at the flames, it seemed that his eyes became a softer shade of blue instead of the hard and steely blue eyes. Was she just imagining it? She replied looking at him with grateful eyes, “Thanks, really appreciate it Solo” and gave him a soft smile. She didn’t expect that at all. But then when she had asked what kind of pokemon was in the egg, something threw her off. She didn’t understand it but there was this feeling that he seemed to radiate dislike toward her. She hoped she was wrong. Ignoring his cold tone of voice, she replied casually, “A tyrouge huh? Any idea what you want its final evolution to be?” She saw him look far into the distance and she wondered what was he thinking about. He looked so lonely. But why?
She was somewhat startled when he mentioned about her past relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Laz and was confused in his statement. She had already met and talked to other guys who interestingly were aiming to defeat her ex-boyfriend. Where was the irony in this situation? This situation and his statement was common news except for the part about the blackening of his soul. That sounded sad as if he was planning to do just about anything to beat Laz. This guy sounded dangerous. She replied questioning the other trainer, “I don’t think I follow you. You aiming to defeat him and me being his ex-girlfriend doesn’t sound that ironic. I’ve met other guys who want to defeat Laz. And I don’t get the defeat him at all costs no matter how black your soul get. If you want to defeat him, just train up and maybe you’ll defeat him. Care to help me connect the dots?”

Listening to her perhaps she didn't know, but that wasn't the case here, and when she asked him to help her connect the dots he for a split second not doing it. Was it his place to tell her that Lazarus's new girlfriend was his old one. What if the girl didn't know? Did he really want to make someone else feel the same way that he did. Inner turmoil was boiling all around him, but he wouldn't give in to it. Blinking a few times he smiled at her. A smile that was both icy, and charming at the same time which made it all the worse. Disregarding her previous question about his pokemon it was none of her business. Turning his gaze back to hers the ice in his eyes seemed to crack for a second before freezing back over. If she didn't know beforehand she was going to know now. "The irony of the situation is that when Lazarus decided to go after my girl, I meet his...I find that humorous if nothing else." he said with a small chuckle that was almost evil in its nature.
Mentioning Melody brought him physical discomfort, and he decided to just remain silent for the rest of the conversation he wasn't going to get any closer to his goal by acting all weak, and pathetic. No he was Solo Rose, and he was going to defeat Lazarus Ysal at any cost. That was the only thing that was keeping him going. No longer would he need to rely on people all they did was let him down, and then he turned out like this. Glad that she had taken his jacket he left her, and went to sit on the opposite end of the fire. His egg was shaking even faster now, and it was starting to emanate a slight glow from it. The girl seemed fascinated by the show, but it didn't really do anything for him. Once again gazing back into the fire Solo allowed the crimson flames to illuminate his face casting shadows over his eyes. He knew that they only way that he was going to get over her was to beat her in a battle. Or atleast that is what he thought sitting there he allowed the fire to illuminate his figure as he waited for some reaction.

She didn’t like being ignored and not answering her was sort of rude. But whatever, it really didn’t matter. The thing that mattered to her was why it was ironic that they met on this chilly night by the beach. Unless Laz did something to really piss off this guy to seem bitter and angry and somehow it involved her. She looked at him questioningly as she waited hopefully for him to answer her questions about this matter. But she widened her eyes in surprise hearing an answer she did not expect. It brought back nostalgia and discomfort reminiscing of her ex-boyfriend. She squirmed in anxiety and guilt thinking that this was her fault. But what really got to her was when he said that Laz had already gone after another girl. That was fast. It seemed that got over her fast compared to her and she was the one who broke up with him. It sucked that she still had lingering feelings for him. He did treat her well but she just didn’t feel that unique spark. Guys like Laz always seem to attract her but not anymore. She understood why Solo seemed to hate Laz in such a way. It was because Laz took away someone he loved and cared for. She replied with hesitation not really sure how to react to what he said, “Oh-oh that. I guess that’s ironic. It makes sense, the guy and girl we liked going for someone else,” but she glared hearing him call the situation humorous, “It’s not funny. Hearing that he went after another girl in a short amount of time, it sucks. It hurt.” She paused and looked at him intensely, “Stop being so cynical and stop hiding how you really feel. You’re hurt aren’t you? It’s not good to keep all that locked up inside.” She was a hypocrite. She had the instinct to hide painful emotions sometimes but she didn’t want anyone else to do the same thing she did. She took a deep breath to calm her mind and said calmly, “It’s up to you Solo. But anyway, let’s keep this conversation light okay? I really don’t want to bring up the past any more than you do.” She apologized, “Sorry for the outburst, I just get touchy about my personal life” and stared at the hopefully hatching soon pokemon egg.

Hearing the girl speak her words he drowned out the last part of what she had said about keeping it light. No she had ignited the spark within him. That cold fire, that icy fury, the avalanche, and torrent of emotions just came bubbling up, and they all culminated into one thing. Pure, unadulterated, anger. Raw rage filled him up to the brim as he stared at her. His bright sapphire blue eyes staring directly into her's, and his mouth contorted into a sinister grin. "You know nothing of pain girl." he spoke to her his voice dangerously low, and raspy as he spoke to her. No she had hit a nerve, and he was going to make sure that she never hit it again. He had every right to be as cynical as he was, and to keep what he was feeling on the inside. She had no idea what he was going through at the moment, and the fact that he had been able to hold himself together for the past few days without going on a psychotic rampage was pretty good in his books. She however decided to push his buttons, and that was going to be a mistake that she wouldn't soon forget.
"No you think that having the one you care about leave you is the worst pain imaginable? Pathetic, truly pathetic...Try having your mother die in your arms, and there is nothing that you can do about it, and then coming back to find that the only person you ever opened up to in the arms of your rival. No that is pain, and you have no right to call my cynical. You are just another silly person who can't see past their own two feet. When you are able to widen your gaze then you can speak to me in such a manner." he said to her his words like frozen daggers made for piercing another persons very core. He had tried to be nice, and this is where it had gotten him, and people wondered why he hated others. "You don't know a thing about me, and before you go analyzing me you should go take a good long hard look in a mirror, because your not perfect either." he said to her his voice chilling even colder with each word.
A swirl of emotions overtook him, and he vibrated with the aura of cold that accompanied him. His face twisted into a look that only a villain out of the comic books should wear as he looked at her. "And the worst part is, that I want her to be happy, but I still care about her." he said reaching into his pocket to feel the familiar Heartscale Necklace that he had made for Melody before he disappeared so long ago. Still staring over at sage his eyes completely froze over until they looked like an Arctic wasteland. There was no fire, no spark anymore only coldness. Solo's spirit had been tainted with darkness, and it was eating at him as he turned his back to Sage, and walked a few yards away sitting down in the cold by himself knowing that Apollo, and Isis would be able to protect the egg. He didn't want to look at the girl anymore, or talk to her for that matter. She was just like the rest.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] HERE TRY TO OPEN YOUR EYES Tagged: Solo, Outfit: Not posted, Music: Just Friends She was startled when he suddenly began talking her down and assuming things about her. He was taking things too far! She didn’t even imply any of what he said at all. He sounded like he was in so much pain and anger filled up inside of him. She had no idea he was going to explode like that so suddenly from what she said. She just wanted to help and have him stop being so damn cold to her. She almost had tears well up inside of her feeling sympathy for him when he said that his mother died in his arms. But she just couldn’t feel that much for him to actually since he pissed her off and she didn’t really care much for her own mother though his situation was very saddening. She did not do well when others insulted her. She knew of all the hardships people went through and she understood that her casual life didn’t compare to any of that. Her boys and Laz had opened up to her about those things before. She wasn’t a narrow minded person and he was wrong! It seemed like he was the one analyzing her than her analyzing him instead. He didn’t know absolutely anything about her. She definitely knew she wasn’t perfect, no one was. She almost wished Laz was with her to defend her but he probably wouldn’t since she hurt him. She felt sad about probably losing him. She hoped she didn’t lose him as a good friend. She was too pissed off to notice any of the guy’s icy glares and coldness to be affected by any of that. But what surprised her was when he talked about this girl who he still cared about even though she wasn’t interested in him anymore. So he wasn’t as heartless as he seemed to be. Still, she needed to defend herself and tell him exactly what’s up. She glared at him with fire in her eyes. It was a silent battle of passionate burning fire in her eyes and icy coldness in his eyes. Once he was done talking, she replied as she explained herself with conviction. She said, “I do know pain but not to your extent Solo. And I’m not the only one assuming shit, I’m the one who left Laz not him. I’m glad I did as much as it hurt him. We weren’t really a good match. Of course, it’s not the worse pain imaginable. I didn’t imply any of that either. You’re analyzing me Solo. I know I’m the farthest from perfect. No one’s perfect. I was trying to be nice to you but don’t you fucking even try to insult me.” She could faintly hear her loyal and proud onyx-colored ninetales and her houndour growling at him while she was talking.
