Apache/Rufflet, Daisy/Swanna, Spike/Rhyhorn, Blackstar/Shinx Speedy slowly rolled his shoulder. They were tight, and he hurt. His arm was still within the cast that it has been in for the last few weeks, should be soon time to take it off. But then again, maybe not he would have to visit the nurse again soon. He bent his head to the left, two loud popping noises resonating from within. He made a pitiful "Ow," after the crack. He bent his head to the right, the same sound resonating and the same pitiful sound. Why was he so sore? Good question, this was in fact unknown to even to him. Maybe some other worldly source caused him to ache like so. Maybe he had some kind of outer body connection with some random person all the way across the world and today they did something to cause this soreness.
Speedy sat and thought if this was possible. "Pfft, Preposterous, that is completely insane and entirely impossible." He shuffled slightly, waking up Apache whom was sleeping upon his lap. Which made him chirp softly as he woke up. "Morning Sleepy head." Apache chirped even louder in order to show his trainer that he was recognized. He stood up, and stretched out his arms flapping them a few times, causing the Sharp beak around his neck to gleam brightly in the sun.
Despite his soreness, Speedy didn't really care, the trainer put two fingers near Apache's feet. The bird pokemon stepped onto his trainer's hand as he was flung into the air. His trainer did this often so he didn't have to beat his wings in hos face to take flight. Catching the wind he was aloft. "Alright Apache, How about we train some today? I haven't seen Laz around lately so we'll have to trainer with someone else instead."

Solo was wandering around the academy until he reached the Courtyard, and he didn't care about it anymore. His blue eyes held an iciness that not even the frigid antarctic could hope to compare to. With his pokeballs strapped to his belt he was in a mood to battle, but that had been how he was since he had come back to the island. A constant craving for battle now taunted the blond haired boy everywhere he went, and he just couldn't be satisfied by anything. Win, or lose he just wanted to keep battling, and well now he was craving another go, and just like a madman he was hunting for a target, and then one came to him. Like a sign from above he saw a boy with similar hair to his, and what looked like a Rufflet hanging around him. How interesting... he thought to himself as he got in the way of the boys walking path, and took the pokeball that contained Mars in it. Tossing it casually in the air in its condensed form so he could catch it, and toss it again the black garbed teen stared at his soon to be opponent.
"Hey you with the bird...Let's battle!" he said to the boy with a cruel twinkle in his evil blue eyes. Solo was most definitely deranged at the moment, and he was like a battling fool. Nothing would be able to snap him out of the mood that he was...His soul had been broken, and the remnants that were left only craved battle, and bloodshed to maybe piece together what was once whole. However he couldn't achieve what he wanted with only a few battles instead he had to wade through an ocean of chaos, and then rise up out of it with a stained body, and heart. Nothing else mattered to him except becoming the strongest, and how ever he achieved that didn't matter to him anymore. The boy had a one track mind, and in his current mental, and emotional state that was a very dangerous thing for those around him. He however had no close friends, or family anymore for that matter so he was totally alone in this world, and the only ones he had left were his pokemon. For their sakes he would become stronger, and then nothing would be able to hurt them ever again...
"Hurry up kid...I don't have all day.." his voice contained a cold edge which was a perfect contrast to the other boys seemingly bubbly personality.

Apache/Rufflet, Daisy/Swanna, Spike/Rhyhorn, Blackstar/Shinx Speedy was laughing at Apache as he made small twirls in the air, and almost crashed into the ground. Such a show off, he had changed since he first captured him, he was a bit bolder. Although he still didn't like strangers all that much. He was still timid but was willing to put a little bit more of himself out there each day. As well, he didn't care for the Ducklett much either. But since she has evolved her personality has swapped. Although, she still swoons over him, even if she is a bit big for her size. She doesn't really care much. But she is more controlled about it instead of rubbing up on him right away.
Apache was the first one to see the stranger step out in front of Speedy's path. It was a short flight back to Speedy, landing alight upon his shoulder. Staring at him as his trainer did was well. Speedy stared at the boy, working his mind around it. *The usual intimidating stare, the tossing of a pokeball up and down. Yeah, he wants to battle." But it was something more, before the boy even spoke he could feel negative energy surround his body, prickling at his skin. It didn't take much, for Speedy to act the same way. His stare suddenly the full of life and color, went to dull and cold. Question was, which would take the first action?
"Hey you with the bird...Let's battle!" That question was answered right quick. Speedy slowly blinked at the question. His body then switched over again, over to a more skeptical uncaring sort of tone. A Smirk crossed his face, the kind that makes you want to slap someone silly. And spoke with a high pitched confident soaked tone, that made you want to gag them just from hearing them talk. "No Shit Sherlock, you're the one that walks out into my obvious choice of path, and begins tossing a pokeball into the air. There were either two answer to this predicament, either you're retarded, or you want a battle. Hmm May be a bit of both in that case. Sigh, But I guess if you really want a battle then, I have no choice but to yield to your will."
It wasn't hard to see what kind of character he was. Cold, Dark, wouldn't be surprised if he stole candy from babies. Now if he was as collected as he seemed to be, this act would indeed not phase him. But if that collection was a simple act, he would blow his top and charge in for an attack. "Hurry up kid...I don't have all day.."
Speedy's thoughts were drawn back to the specimen. *Hmmm Hasty as well. More than likely he will blow his top if that's the case.* He thought to himself. He waved a hand the smirk once more upon his face and the confidence soaked voice on his breath. "Ehh? I apologize, I was trying to figure out which pokemon I am going to Thrash you with." He reached over with his left hand, awkwardly holding a pokeball within it's grasp. "Spike, I choose you." He muttered, tossing out the Rhyhorn's pokeball. In a flash of Red Energy, the Rhyhorn was out. Already putting up a show of Anger. Roaring outloud and stomping his heavy feet against the ground.

The boy sent out a Rhyhorn, and Solo only grinned a half psychotic grin at the boy. His frigid blue eyes seeing to peer right into the boys very soul as Solo tossed up his own pokeball. "Mars, let them feel our wrath!" he shouted as the pokeball he had previously been tossing was thrown up into the air, and when it opened white light exploded from the red, and white ball taking on the form of his Geodude. Mars was floating a few feet in front of Solo, and he couldn't help, but think that this battle was going to get very interesting since Rhyhorn, and Geodude were of similar types. However Solo didn't Mars to win only to beat this thing down so that his other pokemon could finish the job off. An evil smile formed on his lips, and made his entire body seem to glow with the negative energy that he was giving off, and he wondered how the other boy felt around his presence. Solo was hoping that the boy would underestimate his choice of pokemon because it would make the rest of the battle so much easier. Mars had a very useful attack that Solo liked to exploit in his battles.
"Mars Stealth Rock!" he shouted at the rock pokemon, and without fail his hot tempered pokemon began creating massive swirls of white energy that started to take the form of rocks. After the energy had died off the rocks buried themselves in different parts of the battlefield, and Solo's evil smile only grew wider. No matter what pokemon the boy switched too it would receive damage from the entry hazard. Stealth Rock damaged pokemon upon entry of the battlefield, and while it wouldn't hurt the Rhyhorn if he tried to swap out to another pokemon they would receive immediate damage, and become weakened. While he could swap out his pokemon with impunity giving him an even bigger advantage over his foes. Solo was not a hasty trainer, and he took the time to strategize to maximize the power of his pokemon, and combine their moves in unique ways that would make his opponents quiver in fear of his might. This boy had no idea what kind of opponent he was facing, but by the end of the battle he would know full well that Solo was stronger...much stronger.
"Now Mars EARTHQUAKE!" he commanded, and Mars obeyed. "GEO!" he shouted in defiance at the other pokemon his temper rising in preparation of the ensuing battle as he slammed his fists harshly onto the ground. The resulting smack caused a massive Earthquake to start, and shake the ground around Solo, and everything pretty much in the vicinity of the courtyard. The ground shaking under him resulted in Solo losing some of his balance, and he stumbled backwards, but he knew that he had chosen a good move. If he remembered correctly Rhyhorn was weak to Ground type moves. "You won't beat me kid..." he said with a smile full of malice on his face.

Stealth Rock? Bloody Hell? Wasn't that move banned in Unova? Or at least... I thought it was... Ehh Little or No matter. Spike would know how to handle the situation nicely. Speedy just sat there, gave no command of execution. But then again, he didn't need. And Besides, it would have just fallen on Deaf ears any way. Spike doesn't listen to his trainer and did his own thing. And due to this little guy acting like a Wild Pokemon he knew what to do to a pokemon in order to win. His red eyes scattered the field as he was examining the Stealth Rock take effect. That fact, mattered very little to him. He didn't care, he didn't need to care. All he was interested in was blood. He roared once more, Dark Aura covering his face as the Geodude finished up using Stealth Rock. Shooting a Deathly Scary Face towards the Geodude in order to lower it's speed from what little it is already.
The Next thing was easy, as the Geodude growled in defiance at the Rhyhorn, he simple smiled shaking his head. Roaring his own sound of war in return. The Geodude pounded the ground with all it's might. Causing ground to rumble and split. Spike felt the Earth Trembling beneath his feet. He reared up onto his back legs, before bringing them down in a mighty smash, using his own Earthquake to nullify his Earthquake. As both attacks struck each other, they were both null and void. And the other thing left standing was the Stealth Rock, and Spike's Scary Face. "You won't beat me kid..." Was all he had to say. Speedy gave a shrug and a sigh. "If you're going to address me. Address me by my name at least." He said his voice cold as ice. And for once, in that entire meeting Speedy became his old happy-go-lucky self again. "The Name is Speedy, Speedy Zephyr."

The boy nullified his Earthquake with one of his own, and Solo was amused at the decision, and impressed at the same time. However the boy was going to have to try a lot harder than that if he wanted to beat Mars. They lowered Mars speed however with a Scary Face attack, but that wouldn't help them very much in this battle. Ignoring the kids name he was only concerned with defeating him with all of his power. "Mars Rock Polish!" he shouted at his pokemon, and watched as his pokemon started to glow brightly with white light, and this was in essence canceling out their Scary Face bringing Mars speed back up to normal making their last move an entire waste. Solo already had his next move in mind though, and the order was already upon his lips. If he could exploit the Rhyhorns Ground type weakness then this battle would be his, and Mars had plenty of Ground type moves that he could use at his disposal. He would not lose this battle no matter what. "Mars use Bulldoze!" he commanded his pokemon like a general would command soldiers.
Mars responded to his command by going straight up in the air, and then coming down right above the Rhyhorn. This attack had the advantage of being a Ground move, and if it hit it's target it would reduce it's speed hindering them, and making it easier for his attacks to hit them successfully. Mars had both of his hands knitted together to form a sort of sledgehammer like fist, and he was coming down very quickly on top of the Rhyhorn hoping to hit it head on, and cause some major damage to his opponent. It didn't matter the cost the two of them would win this battle, and the end result would be the two of them getting stronger. Remembering the boy introducing himself, but not remembering his name Solo figured he would at least tell the boy his name. "I am Solo.." he said as he kept watching the two pokemon in front of him battle.

Spike rolled his eyes, Rock Polish, of course he would use that move! Bloody Fucking Hell, this trainer was becoming most annoying. He wouldn't just leave well enough alone now would he? No! He had to of course and ruin the plan by speeding him up yet again. Spike took a sigh, how tiresome. Why waste time with trainers whenever you can do your own thing? Dodge when you want to dodge a move, instead of being commanded by it. If you can't dodge a move then you can't dodge it no matter how loudly you yell it. As the second command was given, Spike had to speak out. He couldn't just stand by and make idle threats. He had to know what was so great about being commanded by a trainer.
"Rhhyyy, Rhyhorn! Rhyhorn!" He roared towards the Geodude. Pretty much asking. "Why do you degrade yourself like so? It is an insult to take commands from a lowly human! You are stronger than him. Why take commands like his pathetic slave?" Didn't matter how much pleading or how simple the task was asked of him. He would do something for himself, not for a lowly human that wasn't strong enough for even the weakest of pokemon to break a sweat. It was insulting, here pokemon can use powers such as spewing flames from their mouths at will. Or causing the Earth to tremble in a single bound, yet they take commands from a human. Pitiful! Down right Pitiful!
Then the Trainer commanded the Geodude to use an Attacking move. The Geodude launched itself into the air, putting his hands together in place of a sledgehammer and began the powerful decent onto the Ground. Spike's horn glowed bright Silver, as it readied his returning attack. He didn't need to move the Geodude came right to him. All he needed was timing, the Rhyhorn lowed his head waiting till Geodude was closer, before swinging his Horn directly at him with the intent to make contact, nullify the Bulldoze attack and launch the Geodude backwards with the Megahorn causing decent damage.
Speedy blinked as the opponent trainer, Solo? Hmm he had heard that name somewhere before. A flash in his mind, went back to his earlier days at the school. LONG before he had Apache, or Ryohei. A lonely boy sitting in the corner of the classroom, his name was Solo. "Ahhh, Now I recognize you. You're Solo Rose, a Black whom picked Weedle as his starter pokemon. And then in a frenzy you went around the Academy challenging everyone to battles. Until you came upon the Welcome Comity, Lazarus. You two fought each other and he thrashed you without breaking a sweat. How do I know? Ehh Rumors get around. And Frankly, after you left Lazarus took a liking to me. If fact every now and then he takes me out for training. Hell, even my Shinx accepts Vulcan and Freiya as his mother and father. You can say that I'm his... apprentice of sorts."

The Rhyhorn was taunting Mars, or so it seemed to him, and well he didn't like that at all, and his temper was getting the best of him, or starting too. The Rhyhorn met his attack head on with one of its own, and it succeeded in knocking him backwards a bit, and causing him some damage. Mars just stared at the pokemon as it had drawn first blood, and now he was going to show it how powerful he was, and make it regret everything he had just said. He obeyed his trainer because the human had proved himself to be quiet strong, and despite the fact that he had tried to blow Solo up during their first meeting the human survived, and he would respect him for that, but now it was time to shut this loud mouth rhino up, and send him packing. Without waiting for his trainer to shout out any kind of orders Mars used a Magnitude attack, and depending on the severity of it they Rhyhorn might be able to nullify it with an Earthquake, or he would fail, and the Magnitude would overpower it if they got one of the stronger ones. Mars was now ticked off, and it was going to take Solo forever to regain control, but right now he didn't seem to care.
"Geo! Geo! Geodude!" Well lets your trainer survive almost being blown to bits, and then you might have a newfound respect for humans! he shouted back, and slamming his fist into the ground he used his attack. Magnitude varied in strength with the lowest being 4, and the highest being 10. Mars was hoping for at least a 7. Anything higher would be great, but you couldn't get your hopes up to much. Solo was now staring at the boy in front of him a small grin on his lips as he spoke about his past, and such, however none of it bothered him to the effect of making him want to outburst in anger. Instead he allowed a psychotic laugh to escape his lips, and to fill the air, mixing with the sounds of battle it sounded like a dark musical coming to life. "It is interesting that you know so much about me, but I guess word gets around quickly. It is of no consequence to me however that was the past, and this is the present, and the future holds your defeat..." he said with that same psychotic smile, and laugh on his lips as he stared at his pokemon.
Mars had lost his temper, and now Solo wasn't going to be able to control him for a little while. However that made no difference to him because with him losing his temper it would make him that much more difficult to defeat. Mars was more hotheaded than Solo, and that was saying something considering when Solo lost his temper it generally wasn't something that people wanted to be around, or even see. "Hmmmm it seems that Mars has lost it, and is now probably going to kill your Rhyhorn...Oh well hope you enjoyed it while you last. he said in an icy tone with that evil glare, and smile on his lips.

Spike raised a Rocky brow. It seemed the Geodude was getting quite flustered by how he was talking. Hmm, this could be useful. Especially if the Geodude did things without command from his trainer whenever he was angry. And if he began even more flustered like so, he would start becoming rash, using moves and attacks without thinking of the consequences. The Next move he used was Magnitude, he slammed the ground with his fists as hard as he could again almost imitating Earthquake, Spike felt the trembling underneath his feet. It was a low Level Magnitude, nothing extreme to worry about. The Rhyhorn reared up onto it's hind legs once more. Smashing the ground with all his might creating an Earthquake. The Earthquake immediately put a stop to the Geodude's Magnitude, and continued on it's way to attack the Geodude himself.
Hmph, Now it was time for a little bit more of his 'Taunting.' "Rhyhorn! Rhy, Rhyhorn!" He roared in anger, pretty much saying. "You're pathetic! How can you take commands from a Human! What of it if he Survived your Selfdestruct attack. Obviously you're the stupid one that wasn't strong enough to kill him. Even if my Trainer did survive a Hundred Self Destructs, I would still never Obey his Command."
Speedy listened as Spike trashed talked him right then and there, without him even knowing that he was doing it. But then again, he had to focus on Solo. "I'm confident in my pokemon. He can handle his own. My question is, if you couldn't defeat Laz, what makes you so sure You'll be able to defeat his apprentice?"

Solo watched as they smashed through the weak Magnitude attack with an Earthquake, and as the attack traveled towards his pokemon he had to think quickly. Borrowing a tactic that the boy had used earlier he smiled that cruel smile of his. "Mars Earthquake quickly!" he said hoping that his pokemon would listen to him. Solo lucked out, and although he saw that Mars wanted to disobey him the respect the pokemon had for his trainer outweighed his hatred for the Rhyhorn, and he smashed his fists to the ground causing another Earthquake, and nullifying the others attack. Grinning at his opponent it was obvious that the boy didn't lack skill, but that wouldn't be enough. Taking out Mars pokeball he returned his pokemon in a flash of redlight, glad that he would be able to use him in later on in the battle when he needed to take out the boys team. However this Rhyhorn required a bit of finesse which only one of his pokemon contained.
Tossing the pokeball up in the air it exploded in a flash of bright white light "Isis your up!" he said as the light took the form of a female Sneasel. A grin appeared on Solo's lips as he looked at the other boy wondering what he would do. Unless he wanted to risk damaging his other pokemon by swapping them out, and activating Stealth Rock his Rhyhorn was stuck. Rhyhorn had a nasty weakness to Ice type moves, and Steel moves, and Isis could use both. Rhyhorn would have no such luck taunting this pokemon she was the mother of the group, and was way more level headed than Mars was.
"Now Isis use Icy Wind!" he said to her, and immediately her mouth opened up, and she shot a forceful stream of frozen snow shards at the Rhyhorn. If this attack hit the Rhyhorn not only would it cause a good amount of damage, but it would also lower its already low speed. Solo smirked at the boy wondering how he would handle his change of battle pace? A good trainer would be able to adapt quickly to the situation, but he wondered how this boy would fair. Thinking back to the boys words he looked at him smiling. "Your just his so called apprentice, your not nearly as strong as he is, and I am not as weak as I was when I faced him last. After all I only had a Weedle when I went against him my first time. Now I have far more pokemon, and experience under my belt..." he said to the boy that cruel gleam ever present in his eyes.

Speedy carefully stroked his chin. Not bad, at least he was somewhat learning. Hmm, Maybe he wasn't as much of a loser as he was originally thought out to be. Admittedly he did have a bit of skill upon his person. But then again, all good things had to come to an end. And his good thing was just about to run short. Frantically he ordered Mars to use Earthquake to nullify his own. The trainer crossed his arms in a cocky sort of fashion, giving Solo the skeptical stare. "Heh, That all you got?" To be honest, for someone whom thinks so highly of themselves it was a risky move to use Magnitude in that sense. Would have made more sense to use it on a pokemon that couldn't had nullified it with one of it's own ground moves. He then ran a smooth hand through his hair, giving a small yawn.
Spike roared triumphantly as Mars barely blocked the Earthquake with one of his own. A few more seconds and there would have been nothing he could do. And after that, the trainer recalled him into his ball. Hmph! Cowardice! Spike turned his head away from the materializing pokemon. Not caring what appeared.
Speedy raised a brow as the boy returned his Geodude into it's ball. Hmm well that's uncommon. Usually people fight with the pokemon they originally threw out until it's fainted before going to another. I haven't seen someone do that for a while, since he had Apache use Whirlwind on Zur's Seviper. The trainer's eyes dropped, please don't tell me this guy was just like Zur... he was so annoying. The pokemon that appeared was Sneasel. And it seemed that Spike refused to fight any more for the moment. At least until the Geodude returned again. He grabbed the Rhyhorn's ball, returning him inside with a thin stream of light. Pulling out Blackstar's pokeball. Tossing it out onto the ground. As the Pokemon appeared on the field, he yawned and scratched the back of his ear, waiting for the reward of his efforts. "Blackstar, Tonight we're having Pasta. I'll even make that Sauce that you love." The Shinx instantly perked right up, preapring itself for the battle.
Solo issued an Attack, Icy Wind. In Speedy's mind's eye he plucked the profile of Sneasel and went over the stats in his mind. Hmph, Pitiful, Sneasel was a terrible special attacker. But just before the Icy Wind was blown a Stealth Rock Erupted from the ground, injuring Blackstar, before being struck with the coldness that is Icy Wind. "Blackstar, Counter with Roar." The Shinx took a deep breath, before billowing out a deafening sound, that forced pokemon back into their balls and forced a new pokemon to come out and play. "Perhaps, Not yet. But you have to admit, for someone like Laz to train me himself. I have to show a lot of promise. Besides, it doesn't matter how many pokemon you catch. The result would be all the same. Defeat.

As soon as the Shinx was switched in Stealth Rock ran its course, and damaged the incoming pokemon which was then blasted by Isis's Icy Wind, and had its speed lowered from the attack, and causing it even further damage. Things weren't looking up for the Shinx, but then it used Roar, and Isis immediately was forced back into her pokeball, and Aegis was brought out of his. Solo wasn't phased though he had planned on using Aegis for this battle at some point he just didn't realize that it would be so soon. However he was ready for this, and he grinned. The Shinx would be slower now, and an easier target for his attacks to land on. "Aegis use String Shot!" he commanded his pokemon, and it shot forth the attack, and it formed into a net like fashion to cover more ground, and to hold down his opponent. Solo was aiming to make it so that the Shinx wouldn't be able to move at all, and then hammer down on it with his attacks until it was nothing, and then finish it off easily. Aegis was going to win this battle for him, and it would allow him to get closer to evolving all of his pokemon.
"Now Aegis use Harden!" he commanded his pokemon, and he watched as Aegis's entire body seemed to gain a sheen of shininess over it, and light passed over it like a reflective surface as his defense increased. Kakuna were known for the tough defenses so he was curious as to how this boy would handle his opponent fighting back with something that he would probably deem inferior. Solo knew better though he knew that Aegis wouldn't fail him, and they had been together since the beginning they knew all about each other's strengths, and weaknesses, and together they could overcome those with ease. Together they would become the strongest pair on the island, and that was all that mattered to him. "Interesting move kid, but you made the mistake of bringing out Aegis. Your gonna wish you still had my Isis out now..." he said to the other boy watching as the String Shot net flew through the air towards the Shinx. With its speed being lowered already if he could keep knocking its speed down then he would have a good advantage over it.

Speedy's brow raised as the Sneasel was then returned and the Kakuna materialized in it's place. "Ahhh! Excelente! Now we see your starter pokemon. Hmmm A Bit Scrawny, but then again that's probably just because it's a Kakuna. Ugh, You have to Admit Butterfree is so much better. Much better move pool ya' know? Hehe, How Priceless it I had a Metapod or something of the such. But alas, I do not." Neither Trainer was making much of a Gain. He injured Mars, while the opponent injured Blackstar. Ehh No matter, he's tough he can take care of himself. Then Solo's command was given, Sting Shot. He was aware that Blackstar was Electric, Right? He didn't need to move in order to hit him. No matter how slow the Kakuna made him. But then again, maybe he was just to dense to understand what. It's a wonder how he even made it this far in becoming a trainer.
Speedy felt Apache gently move upon his shoulder. Heh! Well what do you know? He had almost forgotten the bird was up there. He mulled the thought over for some time, wondering whether he should allow Apache to fight the Kakuna or keep Blackstar out upon on the field. His mind finally came to the Conclusion to allow him to fight. He pulled out Blackstar's pokeball, returning him inside. Apache looked at his trainer, and the trainer looked at his pokemon. "Well? Go catch yourself some dinner." The trainer playfully winked at Apache, as he launched himself off of the trainer's shoulder. As soon as Apache flew onto the field, Stealth Rock Activated, what was worse is that it was super effective taking a bit of it's health away. "Apache! Blow away that Terrible Stealth Rock, Defog!" The bird pokemon began to flap his wings upon the battlefield, blowing away all of the Stealth Rocks that were remaining, having them explode all around the battlefield. "Now, Apache, Hone Claws." The Bird pokemon flapped his wings a few times before it's talons began to glow bright silver. Whenever the Silver Light Dispersed his claws gleamed and sparkled. That Move upped his Speed and Attack Stat by one stage. Rendering their Harden Move completely useless.
"Hmm You know Solo, I find that funny. Because Apache is just like your Kakuna over there. I'll admit, not officially my beginner. No, Coral is home keeping Spaz and Mother company. But me and Apache, we click. I practice with him more than anybody. So, looks like your 'Mighty' Kakuna has it's work cut out for it."

The String Shot was successful in hitting the Shinx which he was thankful for, but the boy one again swapped out his pokemon which Solo thought was dumb. Especially when the boy switch in for a Flying type that was weak against rock type attacks. The Rufflet got quiet a bit of damage done to it, but then it managed to blow his Stealth Rock away which slightly disappointed Solo, but he didn't care. Types weren't everything in a pokemon battle, and this kid had a lot to learn. Just because Laz offered to help him didn't make him an automatic shoe in for winner. No Solo had worked hard to achieve what he had, and he was still working harder each day. This boy was nothing more than a stain on the bottom of his shoe. These were the kind of people that irritated Solo those who thought that they knew everything about a person when in reality they didn't know anything. They were worse than the scum of the earth. Solo merely grinned at the boy's words not thinking him worth the breath to return any of it. Why would he waste his breath talking to someone like this kid?
"Aegis String Shot, and then use Poison Sting!" he commanded his pokemon, and without fail Aegis shot a String Shot net at the flying type in the hopes to take it down a notch, or two. Solo didn't understand where the boy got that Hone Claws would raise his pokemon's speed from? As it increased Accuracy, and Attack power, but that just proved how naive this boy was in comparison to Solo. After launching the String Shot net Aegis fired a multitude of purple darts at the flying pokemon in the hopes of poisoning it. Poison was a very useful status affliction being able to wear one's opponent down over time, and throughout the course of the battle was a great way to claim a victory. That is what Aegis, and Solo were to their enemies. They were like a deadly venom slowly draining away their opponents life, bit by bit. A malicious grin came over his face wondering if the Poison Sting would hit it's intended mark. If he succeeded in landing at least one of those attacks then that would be good enough for him, and well lets be honest there was no way that even with a Type advantage that this kid was going to beat him.

Hmm, Seemed he was wrong, Hone Claws did not boost his speed, in fact it boosted attack and accuracy, honest mistake. Everyone made one once in a while. Especially today, it was pretty off. Surprising that he knew all of his pokemon's names let alone the effect of their moves. But then again it was the trainer's job to memorize everything about their pokemon, that way they can get to know them. For better, or for worst.
The opposing trainer seemed cocky. Like he KNEW he was going to win, well let's hope some things don't come as a surprise to him then. Because he was just about to get a news flash, there was no way that Speedy was gonna let this... guy, beat him in such a fashion. He didn't mean people beating him, he didn't mind if his pokemon lost in a fight. But this guy on the other hand, that was unacceptable. If he wanted to lose against Speedy, he would have to learn some manners first. The String Shot stuck to Apache, wrapping around his talons and apart of his wing. Then the Poison Sting Came, the multitude of purple needles came fast, and came quick. Hitting against Apache's body, luckily Apache was not poisoned. Hmph, Now it was his turn.
"Apache! Tailwind." The Bird body suddenly felt a wind behind him blowing rather hard, unwrapping the String Shot from around his body and blowing it away. Tailwind caused his Speed to go up by a single stage due to the String Shot, but it would do indeed. "Now! Counter with Air Slash!" Apache made one fluid movement, picking wind up into his wings as he sent a sharp shockwave of air heading straight for the Kakuna.
[dice=10] Air Slash has a 1-3 Chance of Flinching. [rand=5814772315248949347051149507769789466658392508461439530028833842]
