After his last failed trip to Tao's Mansion, which saw him downgraded to the Red Dorms, he was returning. He was determined to catch something, hopefully a Psychic type, to add to his very small team. He only had Cleo, his Yamask. As a Ghost type, they were strong against other Ghosts and Psychics. Since he didn't need another Ghost, he was hoping no Dark types would show up, allowing him to catch what he needed.
With a sigh, John entered the Mansion once again and Cleo followed him closely. She was still scared. It was still scared of other Ghost types, which probably had something to do with the Pokemon's origins as an actual person. "Y-Yam...M-mask" she stuttered behind him. "Calm yourself Cleo. You'll be fine. I'll do my best to keep the bad Ghosts away from you" John commented, continuing down a hallway.

---------------------------------- Although the entry hall of the mansion had been somewhat clean and neat, the passageway that Johnny and his Pokemon had taken was a clear contrast. The lack of windows made the lightning of the corridors very dim and the air was frigid to the point where the trainer would be able to see his own breath. A thin layer of fog, which seemed to have a silvery glow to it, covered the creaky wooden floor. The wallpaper on the walls of the hallways were peeling off to reveal rotting wood. Portraits of various people, presumably past residents of the mansion, hung from the damaged walls. The dimly lit portraits would play tricks on a nervous mind, making it seem that the eyes of the portraits were following the duo as they ventured deeper into the mansion. Various moans, growls and noises could be heard echoing through the otherwise quiet corridors as Johnny and his Pokemon explored the dark and haunted mansion.
The hallway that Johnny and his Pokemon were in would have no doors or exits until they came to a fork in their path. The corridor would split into three paths leading forward and to either side of the duo. Loud 'thunk' noises could be heard echoing from the passageway to their left, as if something were striking the wooden floor. The noises had no clear pattern, speeding up and slowing down almost randomly. The only sound coming from the hallway to their right was the unmistakable sound of a fire burning in a fireplace. A fiery glow could be seen through the door at the end of the hallway. Quiet moans could be heard echoing from the closed door in the final, middle corridor. The fog that covered the floor was thickest in the corridor, indicating that the source of the fog was likely on the other side of the closed door. Whatever lurked beyond each of the doors didn't seem to notice the intruder lingering outside. Encounter Report! Three paths to choose: Left, Right or Straight ahead. Which will you choose?

Apparently his initial thoughts for direction had been a bad choice. The area he was in was getting getting darker and cooler as he walked. But he didn't show anything. He stayed stoic and focused. He was going to catch something; he was determined. As he exhaled, he noticed his breath and shivered slightly. "Should have brought a sweater....oh well. You okay Cleo?" he asked. The Yamask blinked, shivered, then flew quickly to John's side. "Ya gotta admit, Cleo, the fog and everything is a nice touch to the atmosphere, huh? Extra spooky" he stated to his only Pokemon. The Yamask shivered, more out of fear than because of being cold, and held herself closer to Johnny. The extra noises weren't being good for her either. John would have to toughen up Cleo.
Coming to the path split, John sighed. Great, three ways to go. Thunks, fire and fog, which would be the best pick? Thunking noises could be anything, fire could lead to some warmth and the fog could lead to finding out what was causing it. It was clear that Cleo wanted to avoid the left path, as she hid behind Johnny. Actually, she didn't seem to fond of the mysterious fog either. That would leave the fire place room.
"I know your scared girl, but you have to be brave. So, let's check out those noises to our left, k?" Johnny stated. Cleo, reluctantly joined and followed, staying close by her master. She hoped it'd be okay down this path.

---------------------------------- The sounds of the fireplace and the moaning subsided as the trainer and his Pokemon went further down the left corridor. The carpeted floor soon disappeared, giving way to the wooden floor beneath. The air began to become less chilled than before since they were now moving away from the source of the mist, though not by much and the walls were still in disrepair. The wood of the floor fared no better than on the walls and the paintings still seemed to be watching Johnny and his Yamask carefully.
The 'thunk' noise from before continued to get louder until the duo reached a pair of doors near the end of the corridor. The door on the duo's right was open, revealing a bare room with only a two chairs and a bed. Nothing covered the walls and the fireplace was cold and empty. In the center of the room, a single Bronzor could be seen rolling around. It was slow moving at first, creating a series of slow 'thunk' noises as it rolled across the floor. A few moments later, the steel disc began quickened its pace and began to race around the room. The noises sped up with it. This Pokemon's fun was obviously the cause of the noises from before.
The closed door on the duo's left had similar noises coming from it, but they were more steady and rhythmic than the Bronzor's. It was almost as if it were forming a song of some sort. The corridor itself continued on until it came to a larger room with no doors. A large, decorated table was set in the middle of the room with many chairs around it. The candles were lit, providing a dim light on and around the table as if for some romantic dinner. There were no sounds to indicate that anything was there, but a delicious aroma came from the room. Encounter Report! Three choices again. Will you confront the Bronzor, check out the room on your left or see what's cooking in the dining room?

As the pair continued, the noises became louder and louder. Cleo clearly wasn't fairing any better now that hey were going toward the noise. But, still, she trusted her master. Maybe he had a good idea of what he was doing. That was, if she was lucky. But her fears weren't suppressed when the noises got louder and louder. Just keep going. You're doing this to prove to the boy that you're a better choice than a Machop Yamask told herself, knowing she would have to overcome her fear sometime, and sooner would be better than later.
Looking around at the next intersection of places to go, John listened carefully. The noise that had drawn him down this path was coming from the right, but a more rhythmic version came from the right. And while he could smell what was ahead of him, John decided to ignore it. He quickly peeked into the opened room and spotted the Bronzor. That would be a great Pokemon for him and his team. And it was part Psychic. "Okay Cleo, I want you to use Will-O-Wisps first, then use Hex, now go!" John whispered. Cleo nodded and soon entered the room by firing off a blue ball of fire, the Will-O-Wisp attack. Following up the potential status-inducing move, she created a large eye over her head which then fired off a beam of dark energy at the Bronzor.

---------------------------------- The Bronzor continued to room happily around the bare room until noises from the hallway outside caught its attention. The wild Pokemon came to a surprisingly quick stop and turned towards the open door to see what had made the noise. It could see nothing in the hallway from where it was, but it could still hear a whispered voice carrying into the now silent room. Although the mansion was normally filled with the quiet noises of Pokemon and their cries, the voice the Bronzor had heard had sounded human and very out of place.
The Bronze Pokemon watched the door carefully until a Yamask leapt into view and launched a blue ball of fire directly at it. The wild Pokemon levitated from the ground quickly to avoid the attack, allowing the ball of fire to fly beneath it and strike the wall behind it. However, the slow steel type Pokemon was not quick enough to dodge the follow up and was struck directly by the Hex attack. Without a status ailment inflicted upon it coupled with its extremely high defenses, not much damage had been done to the wild Pokemon. A low, metallic growl escaped the Bronzor as it turned to face the trainer and his Pokemon.
However, a sudden source of light and heat from behind caught its attention. The wild Pokemon turned around to see what had happened only to find that the missed Will-O-Wisp had caught the house on fire! The Bronzor gazed at the fire in surprise for a moment before turning back towards the duo that had attacked it. They had interrupted its fun, attacked it and set its home on fire in the span of only a few seconds. The Pokemon shook with anger glared at its opponents for a few seconds before letting out a loud cry. The Bronzor's metallic voice echoed through the mansion a few times before it was answered by the calls of what seemed to be dozens of other Pokemon. It had obviously warned the other Pokemon of Johnny, his Pokemon and the quickly spreading fire.
With what seemed like the entire mansion suddenly active, the Bronzor turned towards its opponents with a fierce glare. A white aura formed around the Pokemon as it prepared for battle, making its metallic body shinier and more lustrious. It had performed a Safeguard attack! Once the Safeguard attack had faded, the Bronzor's eyes began to glow with a violet hue as it launched a blast of Psychic energy of the same color towards the trainer's Yamask. It was an Extrasensory attack!
As the loud sounds of battle began to follow the Bronzor's cry, cries from even more Pokemon began to echo back through the halls. It seemed that the news of the fire had spread quickly. It was only a matter of time before more Pokemon arrived to douse the fire, though how long it would take until they arrived was hard to tell with all the noise that was echoing through the building. Encounter Report! Your Will-O-Wisp attack has set the mansion on fire! The Bronzor has called for the aid of other Pokemon in the mansion and has retaliated with Safeguard and Extrasensory!

Well that plan basically backfired. Not only had the Will-o-Wisp missed, that meant that the Hex attack would be weaker too. John cursed under his breathe, but then yelped out when he noticed the fire growing, thanks to his attack. "Shit!" he called out. He rushed to the bed as the Bronzor attacked back. Quickly grabbing one of the blankets, John looked back to his Ghost as the Bronzor retaliated.
"Disable the Extrasensory Cleo!" John called out. The mask Yamask was holding began to glow, then fired out blue rings which met the Extrasensory in mid-air. It buffered the attack, and whether or not it had actually fully Disabled the move or not, John wasn't sure. When John came to the fire, he tossed the blanket on the fire, trying to put it out. "Um...um. OMINOUS WIND! Use Ominous Wind girl!" he added, still padding the fire. Taking a deep breath in, Yamask expelled a purple wind toward the Bronzor.

Solo was walking around the school grounds when he arrived at the Headmasters mansion. It was a pretty eerie place, and he was about to leave when he saw something. There was smoke in one of the windows, and he could see the shadow of flames. With a sigh he figured if he could he should probably stop it, and he ran inside, Isis's pokeball in his hand as he did so. Not to far off he saw a boy battling a Bronzor, with a Yamask, and he looked at the fire wondering why he had not put it out. Throwing the pokeball in the air Isis came out of her pokeball in a flash of white light. "Isis Icy Wind start knocking these flames out!" he commanded as he watched his pokemon start shooting a very cold wind out of her mouth at the fire in order to take it out. Yes Ice Type moves held little advantage over fire, but the coldness would still help kill the flames, or lessen them. "Why haven't you tried to kill the fire?" he said to the boy who was battling. He seemed to be knew to it, and Solo only sighed.

---------------------------------- Although the Bronzor's Extrasensory attack passed through the Disable attack, neither of the attacks did anything to stop or divert each other from their intended paths. Ignoring the trainer as he ran over and attempted to control the flames, the Bronzor prepared to dodge the incoming Disable attack. However, the sudden appearance of a second trainer and his Pokemon startled the steel type, gaining its attention long enough for the Disable to strike it and prevent its use of Extrasensory for a while. The Bronzor growled at the intrusion of the second trainer, but decided to let him and his Pokemon since they were ignoring it in favor of the fire spreading flames.
As the wild Pokemon turned back towards the Yamask, it could see the ghost type already launching another attack towards it. Without enough time to dodge the ghostly wind, the Bronzor braced itself as it was struck by the Ominous Wind attack. With its high defenses, the wild Pokemon was able to withstand the attack well, though it still took more damage than it had with Hex. Once the gust had passed it by, the Bronzor blinked a few times as its eyes began to glow brightly with a purple light and an aura of the same color formed around its body. A beam of similarly colored light, a Confuse Ray attack, was launched from the steel type and towards the Yamask.
As the battle continued, the fire continued to spread through the wooden room rapidly. At first, the blanket that Johnny had used seemed to help quiet the flames a bit. However, a few stray embers caught the blanket and caused it to catch fire as well. Smoke covered and hid the ceiling from view, but the open door seemed to keep the room from completely filling with the black cloud. The Icy Wind from Solo's Pokemon seemed to help quell the flames a bit wherever it was aimed, but the intense flamed leapt to its previous glory as soon as the frigid gusts were aimed elsewhere. The fire was still spreading through the room rather quickly and half the room was soon up in flames.
The voices and cries of wild Pokemon were still echoing through the hallways of the mansion, making it impossible to tell when more Pokemon would arrive to put the fire out and expel the intruders from their home. Encounter Report! Both Disable and Ominous Wind have struck the Bronzor! It has retaliated with Confuse Ray!
The fire is quickly growing out of control. Perhaps there is a source of water nearby, if you're willing to risk running into angry Pokemon to try and find one.

When a new trainer showed up, John mentally sighed. Maybe he'd get a chance to control this fire. "What the hell do you think I'm trying to do!?" Johnny quipped back. He was thankful for the help, but the other seemed intent on making him feel like a dumbass. He shot a quick glance over to Cleo as she kept up her attack. Good, she was doing real good, John was proud of her. Well, proud minus the fact she set the place on fire. Then again, that was also partially his fault as well.
Looking to the other trainer, John didn't get a chance to see his Yamask get hit by the Confuse Ray. They needed water or something else to contain the fire. "Cleo, keep it up! I'm going to try and find some water or something!" Johnny called out, rushing out of the room. Cleo moved back and forth, a bit disoriented from the Confuse Ray, but managed a nod to the trainer. And then she attempted another Ominous Wind attack.
John quickly left the room and turned to the dining room that was by the room he had been in. He hoped there would be some more material he could use to snuff out the fire, or maybe some buckets he could fill with water.

---------------------------------- The Bronzor let out a small, exhausted huff as its Confuse Ray had engulfed and confused its opponent. Although it would have been able to battle much longer under normal circumstances, the intense heat from the quickly spreading fire was taking a heavy toll on the wild Pokemon. Even so, the wild Pokemon had no way of helping to douse the fire itself and it wasn't about to flee the battle like a coward. Even as the trainer fled the room to go find something to douse the fire with, the Bronzor watched as the Yamask nodded and launched another gust of ghostly wind at it.
While the attack was launched at it, the six orbs on the edges of the steel type's body began to glow bright white. The wild Pokemon was soon nothing more than a small blue wheel with glowing white edges. It was a Gyro Ball attack! As the attack came upon it, the Bronzor let itself drop to the floor in order to dodge the attack and begin its own. Splinters of wood flew from the floor underneath the Pokemon as its Gyro Ball attack launched the steel type towards the Yamask. However, it was clear that the Pokemon had very little control of its velocity and direction. Whether or note the Gyro Ball struck its opponent, the Bronzor would not be able to stop itself before it crashed through the frail wooden wall behind the Yamask and continued outside into the mansion's garden. A cool breeze came in though the newly formed hole in the wall as a loud CLANG could be heard from outside. It seemed that the Bronzor had continued to roll until it hit the fence.
Although no other sounds came from outside, a loud CRACK echoed from the ceiling and through the mansion. It seemed that the fire was quickly wearing away at the wood of the ceiling. There were several cracks running along the now sagging ceiling of the room, though it was impossible to tell through the thick carpet of smoke now covering it.
As Johnny entered the dining room, the cause of the delicious aromas from earlier was now clear. The long table was covered in delicious looking foods and lit candles, though noone was sitting down or eating. Directly across the table from the trainer was a large fireplace with several very confortable looking armchairs surround it. To his right was a pile of chairs that normally surrounded the table for banquets and nothing more. To his left was a kitchen behind a large countertop. The stove was cold and over were both cold despite all of the freshly cooked food on the table. There were very few dishes resting in the cupboards since many were already on the table. Two large buckets were already being filled with water in the sink.
However, before the trainer could go and pick up either of the buckets, a Gardevoir appeared between him and the kitchen using teleport. The psychic Pokemon had a stern look on her face, but didn't seem particularly hostile to the human intruder. Instead, the wild Pokemon let out a small sigh. A strange sensation would creep over the trainer for a moment before it would feel like something was pulling his entire body. In a flash, their surroundings changed to that of an overgrown yet beautiful garden. A few feet away, a Kirlia could be seen beside Cleo. It seemed that the Gardevoir and Kirlia had teleported Johnny and his Pokemon to safety. Although Solo and his Pokemon were nowhere to be seen, it was safe to assume that they too had been teleported to safety.
The Gardevoir seemed to scold the trainer for a moment before she and the Kirlia teleported back out of sight again. It was clear that Johnny would not safely be able to enter the mansion again as long as the Pokemon were riled up. The smoke was already beginning to thin out from the windows behind them. It seemed that the rest of the Pokemon had arrived to douse the fire before the fire spread more than it already had. The hole that the Bronzor had made with its Gyro Ball could be seen a few feet away. The one of the bars on the fence had a very large dent in it from where the steel type had crashed into it.
If the trainer or his Pokemon were to examine the area closely, a small metallic orb could be seen in the bushes underneath the damaged pole. The dark blue orb had a strenge silvery sheen to it but was completely motionless as it laid in the bushes. Encounter Report! Bronzor retaliated with Gyro Ball but crashed through the wall due to lack of control. A Gardevoir and a Kirlia have teleported you and your Pokemon to the safety of the garden.
A small dark blue orb with a silvery sheen can be seen poking out of the bushes next to the Bronzor's crash site. Perhaps its worth checking out.
((Note: This isn't the way I originally planned the thread, but you've been waiting so long that I figured it would be better to compensate you for the lost time. Sorry for the wait long wait.))

The young trainer rushed around the kitchen, taking in the smells. He attempted to ignore them, but they kept filling his senses. But he knew he had to find some water. But that was turning out to be harder than he had previously thought it would be. Fortunately, he had finally spotted some. As soon as he rushed over though, a Gardevoir popped up. "Huh? What!? NO! NO! I HAVE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE!" John called out as he was teleported away.
Meanwhile, his Yamask had narrowly avoided the Bronzor's attack. She immediately gave chase, following through the holes made by her opponent. But it was then that she too was teleported, much like her master. "Mask?" she qestioned, before noticing Johnny and rushing to him, nuzzling his side, happy he was safe.
"Hey girl, how'd the battle go?" he asked. He assumed something must have happened, but that she was okay, which was good. Cleo then rushed off and John followed. It was at that point that he finally noticed the downed Bronzor. Oh, maybe he could catch it! Grabbing one of the Pokeballs he had free, he quickly tossed it at the downed Pokemon.
