"Lets get some training done!" Rai said, releasing his team from their pokeballs. "Flaaff!" Rachel, the les flaaffy called out, standing firm and looking around. "Budew." Fran blinked at the surrounding trees. "lit!" Kazu pointed at the trees. "Phan!" Tomo would roll around in circles. "Alright, lets get ready to rumble!" Rai said the group of pokemon. Having been pretty deep in the forest & surrounded by trees, Rai seemed to have made his way to a nice, peaceful area to train in.
Rai would smile at the pokemon & give various instructions to get the training started up. "Rachel, practice aiming your thunder." He said with his right fist clutched. "Flaa!" She nodded & cheered, walking further away from the group, disappearing between the trees. "Now, Fran, Kazu. I want you two to stay here with me so we can work on coordinating & battling." He told them with a preppy smile. "Budew!" Fran would nod. "Lit!" Kazu smiled. "Tomo, you--" Rai stopped & began to stare at the phanpy, who was still rolling in circles. "... You keep doing that." Rai said to the elephant pokemon, who paid his trainer no mind.
Rachel would wander off & eventually get lost, though she didnt care. It mattered not at all. In fact, all she was concerned about was training her thunder attack, like Rai told her. The pokemon would learn to do various things, such as manipulating the shape of it and splitting it into numerous bolts of electricity. "Flaaff!" Rachel cried out, having found a nice area in which to start. She would then glow yellow and begin to charge up her electricity, using her charge attack.
While Rai would begin to teach the little ones what exactly coordinating and battle was, Dante would burst from his pokeball. "Typhlosion!" He cried with a mighty & fearsome roar. The pokemon would smile and greet him, with hugs. "Typhlo!" Dante smiled back, returning the favor. "Dante, you wont be training just yet." Rai informed. Dante would nod, not caring for that. He just wanted some fresh air. The typhlosion would then kick back & relax, laying down against a tree where he could see and hear Rai teaching the pokemon what they needed to know.
Party: Flaaffy, budew, phanpy, litwik, and Dante.

Solo was wondering around the forest remembering the battles that he had had here when he was just starting out. Now he was much stronger, and his opponents would have a hard time defeating him. Back then he was just brash, and didn't think about things before he did them, but now he was more calm. Well sort of. Ever since he had found out about Melody, and Lazarus Solo had kind of gone a bit insane. His features in battle would seemed deranged to others, and when he wasn't battling his face seemed to be covered in shadows that were darker than the shadows cast by the tree's in the forest. Walking around the deep forest with no where to go he was simply lost not sure what to do with himself anymore. His soul had seemingly been shattered, and with that he became dangerous going on a battling rampage with everyone that he could find in order to become stronger. His battling with everyone was a way for him to escape to regain some semblance of what he once was, and to mend the brokenness that was now in his heart. Though no matter how much he battled others it just didn't seem like it was enough to get rid of the giant hole that had been opened in his chest.
It didn't take long for him to hear sounds of pokemon nearby, and he wondered who else would be so deep in the forest, and he couldn't help, but be drawn to what sounded like a pokemon battle. Getting near he could see several pokemon in a small clearing. A fire type pokemon was kicking back relaxing, and there were others that were doing some kind of training. A trainer was nearby giving them orders that didn't make any sense at all, but Solo sort of stumbled into the clearing the shadows making his face appear dark, evil, and unhinged as he looked up to stare at the boy with his cold, and icy blue eyes. A sort of psychotic smile crept on his lips as he stared at the other boy a hunger for battle present in his ever cold eyes. Solo was not in his right mental state, and he needed to be fixed through battle. That was the only thing that was holding him together was his dream of becoming the strongest. His mind was like a shattered mirror that was being held together by superglue that was slowly melting, and making the mirror break. "Hey you...I think that we should have a battle right now..." he said no fear, or hesitation in his blue eyes. His voice held a cold edge to it that would make most people break out in goosebumps. His voice was unnaturally cold for someone his age, and appearance. However that was who he was, and Solo was ready to battle again so that he could feel truly alive again...To battle, was to live for him at this point in time...

A bit ofruffling in the area could be heard, somebody was trying coming closer! A pokemon!? Rai would ignore the sounds, assuming theat his mind was playing tricks on him and there was no need to continue with them. The coordinator would continue to inform them of what was exactly battling was. "Do you two understand?" Rai asked the young ones. They would cheer their names in unison and jump, telling him yes. "Alright, well--" Rai stopped halfway, hearing a strange voice. Turning to his left, he'd see a strange boy with fear instilling blue eyes.
Hearing the proposal, Rai would gaze at the boy. He seemed rather possessed, if not just naturally creepy and strange. "Well, I was going to have them show me something anyway. I guess a little display would help." Rai smiled with a light chuckle. "Rachel your up!" He swung his arm forward, releasing her to battle. Oddly the sheep pokemon had not wandered forward. Instead, he would turn all around in search of her. "Wher the --" He cut himself off. "Oh yeah, she went off somewhere to train." Rai facepalmed, while making more giggles.
"Well, who's going first?" Rai asked, turning to his party with a smile. "Lit!" The brave little litwik would point at himself, smirking. "Alright Kazu, your up." Rai smiled. The little candle shaped creature would wander forward, making a huff. "Lit!" He said, ready to start. Meanwhile, Rachel would stop charging for a moment to take a breather. "Flaaff..." She groaned, bored with her training. She would turn around and travel through more trees. "Flaaffy. Flaaffy. Flaaff." She would cry out, wandering aimlessly through the terrain.

It didn't take long for the boy to respond to his challenge, and he chose a Litwick as his starting pokemon for this battle. Solo was going to make the obvious choice out of his pokemon, and with a grin he tossed a pokeball in the air. When the ball opened the familiar light shot out of it, and from the light came his Geodude, Mars. A Rock/Ground type, and it held the advantage over the Ghost/Fire type. Mars was already raring to go, and Solo knew that if his pokemon got to mad then it would cease to listen to him so he had to end this first battle quickly to prevent him losing control of Mars. Solo figured that since he had issued the challenge then it would be up to him to make the first move. "I will go first...Mars Stealth Rock..." he said, and immediately Mars made a glowing orb of energy appear in his hands, and then he tossed it into the air. With the orb of energy in the air it split apart, and made several rocks start floating in the air around the battlefield. This was the perfect move to open with as it deterred the opponent from switching their pokemon. In turn it also gave him the advantage.
"Now Mars Bulldoze.." he commanded his pokemon calmly, and watched as Mars formed an X by crossing his arms in front of him, and sped towards the Litwick. if this attack hit the Ghost pokemon it would cause massive damage, and also lower its speed stat making it slower, and easier to hit. Hopefully this guy didn't have any sneaky tricks up his sleeve that would make it harder for Mars to win because Solo knew from experience that when Mars got to mad that he would more than likely use Selfdestruct, or Explosion, and probably KO both pokemon. Solo didn't want a draw however he wanted a victory, and he would taste the sweet nectar of victory even if it sent him to hell. Smiling like a madman he stared at his opponent wondering what kind of reaction he would tell his pokemon to do. "I am called Solo Rose...I figure it only apt that you know the name of the one that is going to defeat you..." he said to his opponent still smiling like a psycho as he watched Mars work his magic.

"...You ass..." Rai mumbled to himself, at the sight of the geodude coming to the battle. This was the main reason why Rai didnt enjoy choosing first, it was always putting him at a disadvantage. Now poor Kazu would have to face a bulldozing geodude, thank goodness the stealth rock didnt hurt Kazu directly, since Kazu was already out and about. "Lit!" Kazu would cheer with glee, ready to take on the boulder. "Lit." It turned its head to the side, shooting an eye at Rai. It wanted Rai to guide him through instead of just leaving him to himself.
"Sorry Kazu." Rai noted, returning to the battle. "Use minimize!" Rai commanded. Kazu would hold his ands in the air & cry out. "Lit!" He cried out, shrinking down to the size of a marble. The bulldozing geodude would fire right past the small fire and ghost type pokemon, allowing Rai to take a breather. "Phew." He sighed from the release of the nervous tension. Returning to his original small frame, Kazu smirked & pointed at the geodude. "Lit!" It cried out, ready to do more. "Use will-o-wisp!" Rai called out. Kazu would then create and launch a stream of purple-ish flames at the geodude. Hopefully it'd hit and burn.
"The one who'll beat me?" Rai asked with a puzzled look. He'd release a heart felt laugh. "These guys are just in training. I'd hate to be serious against you, I might hurt more than just some feelings." Rai smirked at Solo's statement. Meanwhile, Rachel would wander into a cozy place where the area was filled with tree stomps that hand some form of a target at the center of them, sticking upward. She would use charge once more, upping it from 1 use to 2 uses.

A grin full of Malice appeared on his lips at the boys words, however he didn't care. It was a good move that the boy had used in order to dodge his initial attack. Then he fired an attack that Solo knew all to well what it would do his pokemon. Will-O-Wisp would cause instant burn if it was allowed to hit. Solo just couldn't have that now could he? "Mars use Rock Throw to block the attack!" he shouted at his pokemon, and watched as the magic happened. Mars pounded his fist into the ground, and make chunks of rock appear in front of him, and then he launched them at the ghostly looking fireballs that were heading his way. The rocks made full contact with the fireballs, and immediately extinguished them, and they kept on heading towards the Litwick in order to cause it more damage. Though the other boy wouldn't be able to see it Solo had a huge weight lifted off of his shoulder once that attack was blocked, and he couldn't help, but keep grinning at his pokemon, and its proficiency with what it did. This guy may not be going all out on Solo, but Solo was going to go all out him it was the way he did things.
With the rocks still traveling towards the Litwick Solo figured he would take care of Mars low speed while he had some breathing room, and make it that much harder for his opponent to beat him. "Mars use Rock Polish!" he said as his Geodudes entire body started to glow with a brilliant white light, and in a sense it became more shiny, and sleek. Geodudes speed had been sharply raised now, and because of that he was going to be much faster, and much more able to take down his opponents pokemon. In the end only the strong could survive, and Solo was making his way towards becoming the strongest no matter the cost. And because of his determination he would do it no matter who stood in his way. To say that he had a one tracked mind was an understatement as he was utterly obsessed with becoming the trainer on the island, and then in the world. If not for himself, it would be for his mother...After she had died the boy had been left with nothing, but his dream...
He still remembered the story that she told him when he was a kid about the trainer who started off in Pallet Town, and then after he lost at the Pokemon League there how he went on to challenge the other regions until finally he was the champion...Solo would become just like that trainer...He would take every loss, and every victory in stride so that he could become the best. That was his sole reason for existing, and without it the boy would just become a hollow shell of his self...

Rai would take it all in at once. The strange boy would seem to be taking it pretty seriously. Since Rai wasnt using Dante or his more trained pokemon, what point would there be in being anymore focused than he already was. His only concern would be for the younger pokemon of his group to enjoy their first battles, get a good workout, and as much experience as possible. Kazu seemed to already be enjoying himself, while Fran would calmly watch from behind Rai. She didnt wanna get caught in the middle of anything. Meanwhile, Tomo was pretty much doing what he'd been doing for quite some time now, rolling around in circles.
"Kazu, use shadow ball at the incoming rocks!" Rai told his partner. Kazu cried his species loud and proud, as he created a shadow ball bigger than himself & launched it straight at the group of rocks. As it burst right in the middle, enough force caused the rocks to be pushed off to the sides of Kazu. Luckily Rai had already gone over using not just brawns but brains as well, so Kazu understood how to do things right away. "Lit." Kazu turned his head to the right, shooting an eye at Rai for more commands. "Haha. You sure?" Rai teased, adding the command in. "Use confuse ray!" Rai said. The litwick turned back to the battle & nodded. Its body would become enshrouded by a purple & black aura, while its eyes glowed a bright piercing pink/purple light.
"Flaa!" Rachel moaned, launched a powerful thunder at the first target, having it shoot back to the target right behind it. Upon reaching the third target, it would blow up the target. "Flaa!" Rachel got annoyed quickly. How dare the target be so weak and explode. "Flaaa!" Rachel would charge up her electricity once again. The lesbian poke pal of Rai was not going to give up that easily.

They blocked their second attack with a Shadow Ball, but now they were using an attack that Solo was sure was going to be Mars's doom. Confuse Ray was successful, and Mars's eyes became like @@ signifying its confusion. A frown appeared on his lips, and wrinkle appeared on his forehead to match the frown. He could withdraw Mars, but the only other pokemon he had with at the time were Isis, and Aegis both of whom were weak to fire types. But Isis was also part Dark Type, and she would be able to put up a good fight against the Ghost Pokemon. However before swapping out he figured he would give Mars one last shot to cause some damage to the opposing pokemon. Hoping that his attack would be successful, and that Mars would attack himself he called out his order. "Mars use Rock Blast!" he shouted at his pokemon hoping that his loud voice would snap the rock type out of his confusion. However he knew it was futile, and it would be a while before Mars got out of his confused state. Sighing he watched as Mars prepared to attack.
Instead of attacked the Litwick though Mars plowed himself into the ground out of his confusion, and hurt himself slightly. With a groan Solo took out Mars's pokeball, and returned the pokemon to its ball in a flash of red light. Grabbing Isis's pokeball he chucked it into the air, and when it opened the familiar white light exploded out, and took the form of a female Sneasel. Standing there looking like her usually motherly self Isis waited for her trainer to give her orders. She wasn't as ill tempered as Mars, but she knew how to fight, and use her attacks effectively. When paired with her trainer the two worked in perfect sync like a well oiled machine, and a smirk appeared over her face as she looked at the candle pokemon. Solo's eyes glowed with malice as he looked at the boy in front of him, and the only thing stronger than his hatred of losing was his determination to win, and those things combined with his heartache made the boy unstable...
"Isis Faint Attack..." he said in his usual cold, and cruel tone. Isis grinned as she walked right up to the fire pokemon, and she pointed to the side hoping that it would look to where she was pointing. Once it did she would slash at it with her claws, and cause massive damage to the Ghost type pokemon.

Seeing the geodude plow itself into the ground, Rai would smirk. "Good job Kazu." Rai commented, encourageing the the younger pokemon. "Lit!" It would put its hands on its "hip" like area, striking a victorious pose. Before it beat itself up too badly, the opposing trainer would return the pokemon to its ball. Away with that pokemon and onto the next one. "Kazu, get ready." Raize commanded. Kazu would shake its head quickly, getting back in the game. With the new opponent on the way, it'd make sense for him to get on his toes to prepare.
"Lit." Kazu pointed at the sneasal. She looked mighty fierce & mean. The trainer's expression wasn't any better. "Lit!" Kazu would make another victorious pose. Right when posing, the litwick was distracted by what the sneasal pointed to. Being a naive child, Kazu looked over only to find nothing. "Lit!" He turned back towards her, getting a smack across the face. With a small thud, Kazu landed on the ground. With barely enough energy to stand Kazu had no oter choice but to attempt making a good shot.
"Kazu!" Rai exclaimed. "Lit." He stood frim, shaking off some of the pain. "Lit." Kazu would point at the sneasal, declaring his next attack. Rai would only stand on the sides, maybe this would be good experience for him. "Feelin' better?" Rai asked with a grin. "Wick." Kazu nodded a firm yes. "Good, use confuse ray & will-o-wisp!" Rai called out. Kazu would have his eyes glow a bright red color, as he looked dead at the sneasal. After the eyes returned to normal color, he would launch a light wave of heat towards the sneasal. Hopefully these would confuse and burn her.

The boy's pokemon fell for the attack hook, line, and sucker. However it then tried to confuse, and burn her, and he wasn't about to let that happen to Isis. He wouldn't fall for the same trick twice. "Isis close your eyes, and jump out of the way!" he shouted, and watched as her eyes shut preventing the confuse ray from taking effect on her, and then dodging the fire balls that would undoubtedly have caused her a burn. Opening her eyes she sat there her claws at the ready as she was prepared to take another swipe at the opposing pokemon, and cause it even more damage. Grinning at his opponent he realized that he was at the disadvantage if you went by types that was. Fire was super effective against Ice types like Isis, but if his opponent could never hit him then what was he worried about. Soon Solo would become strong enough that pathetic trainers like this would be of small concern to him. A plan forming in his mind as he contemplated his next move, and with an evil gleam in his eyes he smiled his usual psychotic smile at the boy.
"Isis use Agility, then use Ice Shard!" he told his pokemon, and he watched as her entire body relaxed as it was surrounded in the light blue aura that Agility was associated with, and then she sped up running at the Litwick. No Ice type moves were not very effective against fire type pokemon, but there was more to a battle than just types. It was also about how creative you were in using those moves to your advantage, and with a grin he watched as Isis went airborne jumping straight up with her increased speed she got much higher up. Placing her hands over her head a light blue orb appeared between her hands. With a grin on her face she launched the Ice Shard attack at the ghost pokemon. Ice Shard was a very fast move on it's own, and with her throwing it from right above them she figured that they would have a hard time dodging it unless they used that shrinking move again. She was sure that her partner had a plan for that as well. Solo was in-genius at thinking of ways to get around to get around something that was causing him trouble.

"Flaaff..." Rachel would pant heavily from her personal training. "Flaaff!" She cried out in exhaustion. She had made wonderful progress with molding the shape of her thunder attack and controlling its accuracy. Though she was quite limited to what she could do with it, she was still getting the hang of it so more progress would have to be made soon to improve it further. Not only was she a good electric type but also a skilled coordinating poke partner. She was determined to get this right, as thank you to Rai for saving her life back at Gravity Cave, and bringing along her tynamo gal pal too.
"Flaaffy!" Rachel would fall on her back breathing more lightly than a moment ago. If she could pull this off, she would make sure to show it off to Raize. And the best part is eventually upon evolution or becoming stronger, Rachel would want to expand her limit to the point where there is no limit as well. Eventually she'd even be able to effortlessly be able to create multiple shapes, sizes, and variations of thunder if she kept up the great progress.
"Kazu!" Rai called out. The little candle pokemon would glance at the field. It was tiring having all of this back to back combinations. But with Rai helping out, it wasn't as hard as it was surviving Tao's mansion. "Lit!" Kazu would instantly reply on his own free will. Suddenly surrounding himself with a blue aura of flames, just as the sneasal launched itself into the air, Kazu would blast a powerful inferno at the incoming attack & keep it up so well that it aimed for the pokemon as well. Being airborn, it wouldn't be that easy to dodge or evade.
If inferno lands, you're burned.
