[Catch Thread]
Pokemon: Gengar, Houndoom, Aggron, Crawdaunt, Snivy, Tangela
--Solo, this is your test thread to see if you can mod for battles. Obvious enough, Solo will be the one modding this thread--
P.S. Fire Types would be preferred.
------------------------
"Alright you two, I want you to keep an eye on Ivy over here." The Silver Dormer stated as he talked to his Aggron and his Crawdaunt who nodded their heads in obedience to their trainer. The two of them were okay with it anyway, having to baby sit one of the newer members since it had already happened before when Vulcan and Kostya were the ones taking care of everyone else. Now that they were at least stronger, they should be able to take up the job no sweat. With his orders given, the red head turned around to find his Snivy crawling through crevices of boulders that had surrounded them as the little grass type began to squirm in excitement of danger. Sooner or later, Laz was gonna regret the small fact that the Snivy was beginning to act more and more like him every passing day. Where she used to be a casual battler, now she became a war freak. Wanting to keep on fighting to prove that she was better than the rest and that she didn't need everyones help. An underlying cause there was to prove herself to her trainer, to show him that she wasn't useless like that one time in the forest where he had caught her. As such, when Laz called her over, the Snivy quickly acted and went after him, making her way through the gravely floor before snaking her way up on Laz's arm and using his neck as a sort of roost for herself. Looking around diligently, Ivy was determined to make sure that no pokemon would be able to get a jump on them and if there was any danger near, she'd be more than ready to take them head on and kick more ass. With a laugh, the red head simply rubbed the little snakes head before heading across the wires that were lined upon to make sure the students didn't get into a dangerous area where the Teachers would have a slightly harder time finding them if they did get lost. Laz wasn't worried though, he'd already traversed this part more of then not in search of better opponents than the routine weak pokemon that would gather around the place once the dust settled down. Whistling a tune, the red head pulled down on his black cap, a stylized R sticking on the left side of the brim as he made his way through the Volcanic area, hoping to catch himself some good fire pokemon or to at least have his Snivy taste pain to help teach her what she has to do and to make sure she remembers that her body wasn't made of glass. With as prepared as he could be, the red head set off.

As you are walking around you see three Slugma playing with one another in the middle of the path not paying you any mind. They appear to be brothers, and are playing some kind of game with one another. The heat they are radiating is intense, and if you go to close to them you will get burned from prolonged exposure. Do beware that where there are children, there are also parents.
So do you
- Battle them
- Walk Around them
- Play with them

"Huh, Slugmas?"
Laz wondered out loud as he looked around the place while he was riding on his Aggrons shoulder with his little Snivy taking a rest on his head. The Crawdaunt beside him was already sharpening his claws in preparation for a fight if Laz did choose to battle them.
Looking around, and patting his Aggron to keep him settled for a bit, the red head ordered for his Aggron and Snivy to try and spy around the place and see if there was anything out of the ordinary. With the order given, the Snivy quickly stood up on its hind legs and placed her hand over her eyes to help block out the sun.
The Aggron too, though much more careful as he didn't want his trainer suddenly falling off his shoulder like a rag doll. As of now, there didn't seem to be anything haunting them but even if there were, the Aggron was more or less confident that he'd be able to rectify the problem. He was strong enough to handle majority of the types that can be found here. And with the TM and HMs that his master gave him, his confidence only boosted.
When the two pokemon gave a shake of their head, giving a negative on that end, Laz then looked at Styx and nodded his head. With a happy raise of his Pincer, the Crawdaunt walked up forward, making sure to keep himself as silent as possible as he moved and aimed at the Slugmas.
"Look at this. It might teach you a few things."
Laz whispered to his Snivy who, after hearing Laz say something, watched intently on the obviously one sided fight. When Laz smiled, the Crawdaunt then raised its claws and brought upon a ferocious Surf that would drown all of his opponents. The massive body of water rose up and with a terrifying form of strength and destruction, would smash down upon the Slugmas and hopefully knock them out fast enough.
Styx wanted to make sure though, so without worrying about the consequences, the Crawdaunt once more raised both his pincers and unleashed a Surf not unlike the one before it. These two surfs should prove to be enough to knock both of these pokemon out. Not only did he get some experience in sneak attacks with blunt moves, his trainer would actually get to catch something else.
More training for him in a sadistic way back in the Ranch if his plans went well.

So suddenly giant waves of water crashed down from out of nowhere, and doused the three baby Slugma effectively knocking them all out. With no way to defend themselves they are at your mercy to catch. Decide what you are gonna do quickly though as the parents are not to far off. Off in the distance you here something that sounds like fighting between two pokemon.
So are you gonna
- Catch the Slugma, and move on to the sounds
- Wait for the parents to come around
- Leave, and head towards the battling sounds without catching

"C'mon, let's see what's happening around there."
Laz muttered to his pokemon after having caught one of the Slugmas in his pokeball. Now that he had managed to catch a Slugma, the red pokeball had vanished after becoming pure white static-ish energy that transported itself towards his PC. With another successful capture and another new pokemon to either train or trade under his belt of many pokemons, the red head looked around the place as his pokemon were already heading towards the sounds of battle, minus his Snivy of course. Ivy was still hanging around his shoulders and had tried to paw the pokeball but reeled back in surprise when it suddenly vanished from her trainers hands.
Her eyes growing wide, the Snivy actually thought that her Master was some kind of magician that could do things other normal people she's seen before not be able to do. As such, she then began to like him even more a the snake like pokemon slithered up to his head and began trying to fix his hair while laughing.
Ignoring his Snivys petting, Laz hurried along his pokemon team. As much as he knew this area, the sole fact that there were more chances of getting assaulted by some random wild ass pokemon with intent to kill...the red head knew better than just to dally around his captures.
Finally catching up to his team, the red head leapt over a small boulder before using it to as a spring board and launching himself over his Aggron. Using the steel plated Dinosaurs steel plates, the red head swung himself over the huge pokemons shoulder and began to set sail into the horizon, following the sounds of battle as even the Crawdaunt began to snap his pincers in baited anticipation for more fighting.
His Aggron though, it was feeling something akin to blood lust as he used the reason that since already got his turn to fight, he'd take whatever opponent the team would have to face in order for him to get his own training. He just hoped the next batch wouldn't be so weak compared to the last one where the Crawdaunt didn't even have to exert effort to win.
With a roar, the Aggron looked up at his Trainer and tried to convey his thoughts with a few punches to empty air before pointing at the general direction to where the battles could be happening. Styx though, understood this and playfully socked the Aggron's side, stating that he'd still fight cause the last ones weren't even worth his time.
The two then began arguing with roars and profanities where Laz could pretty much hear them and understand. With a sigh and a small chuckle, the red head instead petted his Snivy and just enjoyed the bickering. He was feeling calm, since his pokemon weren't usually this friendly with each other unless they were in the Ranch and even then this barely happened. He was glad to know that all of his pokemon were at least getting along even when he wasn't there with them.

As soon as you leave the two Magcargo parents show up, and start frantically trying to nurse their two remaining sons back to full health. As they work they start crying out for their missing son. You however are long gone by now, and you stumble upon two male Numel who are obviously fighting over territory. They aren't as weak as the three Slugma, and will put up a much better fight if they spot you in their territory.
So do you
- Sneak around them
- Fight them
- Try to stop the fight

"C'mon Styx, I'm letting you sit out on this one. I'm sure Rapture's up for some Pain and Stress."
Laz announced as the trainer himself hopped off his steel plated dinosaur as it gave a satisfied growl towards the Crawdaunt who only pouted and snapped his pincers threateningly at the Aggron and was already calling dibs on the next pokemon that they could possibly fight.
The Aggron just gave a snoot of soot from his nostrils as he shook his head at how hopeless his friend was at times. As such, the dinosaur shook its body to get ready for the upcoming battle. Not to mention that they seemed to have the cover for now, a chance for a disastrous sneak attack, the Aggron silently slid his foot through the gravely pieces of sand that had occupied the area. Moving behind a rather large rock, the Steel plated giant only looked at his Trainer for an idea.
The red head though, allowed his little Snivy to go down as he prepped her up for battle. Knowing that even if she was in a disadvantage due to typing, the red head trusted enough in her skills and in his to know that he'd be able to pull through regardless of their circumstance in this situation. As such, the red head shoved the Snivy first and foremost and directed the Aggron to get ready for battle.
With a smile lighting up both their faces, the Snivy had immediately crawled towards the Aggron and slithered all over it as she finally managed to arrive on his shoulder and used it as her perch for the battle. With that done, the Aggron moved towards the left of the boulder and watched for an oppurtuniy that might be able to appear if he had keen enough eyes.
Observing them fight, the Aggron would notice that they were still oblivious to their surroundings and was much more focused on was currently winning their fight. With an inward chuckle, the Aggron whispered a few encouraging words towards his partner as he positioned himself near enough where the Snivy would be able to launch a few long range attacks if she could.
Roaring as if the earth was about to shatter, the Steel Rock type Pokemon dug his hands into the ground as a massive wall of water that came from using Surf appeared. The obstruction of liquid rose so high that it managed to cast a shadow upon both the Numels. As such, they should have already noticed it by now as the wave itself began to crash down on them.
Not unlike his older partner, the Aggron too wished to make sure that his win would be permanent rather than temporary as without letting up, the Aggron gathered more power as another wall of water came up, fiercer and looking even stronger than the last one as it, too, began to flow towards the Numel.
Flooding the area below, the ground itself would become very hard to maneuver from as the sand had became liquidish and the other rocks creating muddy and edgy pools of water that would suck you down if you weren't careful. It didn't matter as much though, since the Aggron knew how to fight smart. He wouldn't need to move around too much even with his current situation thanks to the little fact that he had a few other moves that could easily alliviate this situation of his.
Laz's Snivy though, only watched in wonder towards the pokemon as the monster had managed to create an underwater wonderland for the pokemon to be assaulted with. Clapping her hands at the abonomical show of power, the Snivy began to get pumped up and decided to try her best as well.
Gathering seeds inside her mouth, the Snivy would take aim for whereever one of the Numels were last seen before deciding on one. After that though, the Snivy would pucker her lips and blast a straight line filled with Leech Seeds, that if it affects the enemy, would slowly but surely let her regain whatever health she lost.
Laz had to give a low whistle though, even without an order, his pokemon seemed to know what to do. That wasn't something new for Rapture though he was proud to see his Snivy starting to get creative with her movepool.

While they were fighting the two of them were taken completely off guard by the powerful water attack. The Numel that was hit with the water type attack was knocked out for the count. However now the other Numel was ready now, and he was able to avoid the Leech Seed attack. Staring at the grass type that had tried t hurt him he stamped his foot into the ground. Opening up his mouth he fired an Ember attack at the grass pokemon.

"Rapture, stop."
Laz ordered, his Aggron bewildered at the sudden order and had accidentally turned his head in shock. The Snivy on his head had slipped due to the sudden movement, losing her footing as she was just about to dodge the Ember that went right at her. She could feel the stinging pain as the Ember caught her on her belly, the force pushing her off the Aggron as she writhed in pain on the mud.
Laz looked hurt, but he knew this had to be done. As his eyes looked after his pokemon, his Snivy that was desperately throwing mud on herself to cool down the pain. Their eyes locked and the Snivy understood. She stopped whining as she wobbly got to her feet, ignoring the pain that was growing and accepting the power that she could feel. Her health had been threatened and now she was being filled with the power of her ability.
Overgrow, a handy ability when a pokemon has gone too far in battle and has been damaged enough. The power she could feel was overwhelming as she fought back the tears prickling her eyes. Jumping on the Aggron once more, her tail being used to balance, the Snivy glared coldly towards the offending Numel, who himself had began to glare at her.
It was a stare off...which soon broke when Ivy gave a hostile hiss as she leapt down of the Aggron, her feet landing squarely on the hardening mud as she slithered, leaving foot prints abound on her trail. She wasn't trying to hide, rather she was trying to move through the possible attack lanes.
"Ivy, Mega Drain!"
Laz hollered through the battle field, his hands still in his pockets as he saw his Snivy stand up in accordance to the order. Her green scales lighting up as the sun glinted as she began to create a ball of solar energy. That if it was hit the Numel, a percent of the overall damage she dealt would return to her.
Aiming for the right opportunity, the Snivy jumped over a few rocks, before firing the Mega Drain. Landing squarely on her feet again, the Snivy would coil over and try to get closer still, wanting to get in a few good hits with her Vine Whip if she got the chance.

Numel saw the attack coming, and he used Amnesia. This coupled with his ability Simple allowed him to boost his Special Defense 4 stages all at once. The attack hit him head on, but it didn't have nearly the effect that it should have. This Numel was tougher than the other one, and he wouldn't be knocked out so easily. Opening its mouth it let loose a powerful Flamethrower at the small Snivy. Hoping to injure it further. He was just about to win his fight for the territory when this person came interrupting, and he wasn't none to happy about it.

"Leaf Blade!"
Laz shouted, his eyes narrowing at what the Numel had just done. The damned Simple Ability huh? That glow from Amnesia wouldn't have looked so bright if it was a normal one. Too many times seeing the natural color of it from hours of watching fights would add to the experience. Laz was rather peeved at the move though, but nonetheless, this wasn't going to screw his plan all over.
The Flamethrower soared through the battle field. The only saving grace that Ivy had was that it didn't have a completely fast launch. Slowly, her feet slid through the mod, her face near the Flame Thrower but not connecting. She bared through it as the leaves on her tail began to glow in power.
Preparing her Leaf Blade, as the Flamethrower harmlessly sailed over her head, Ivy used the momentum from her slide as she leapt, her feet having coiled before springing up, as she flew through the air. Heading closer towards the Numel, the Snivy would position her tail so that if it hits, a huge strike to either the face or the side of the Numel would be affected.
After that, the Snivy would land on her feet, her paws up front as she would flip over. Standing on her hands, the little snake like pokemon would blast a series of Leech Seed at the opponent, hoping to drain away his health in order to garner back some of her lost health.
Standing up right again, the Snivy would prepare herself to move at a moments notice, her vines antsy and poised to wrap around the Aggrons body to act as a sort of anchor to her usual escape route.

Obviously his previous manuver had caught the trainer off guard because he furiously attacked. The Leaf Blade slammed hard into his side, and caused him to skid back a bit. Shaking his head he was suddenly by a seed that released vines that entangled him. He could feel some of his energy leave him, and he was furious now. The hole on his back started rumbling, and from it he launched a giant fireball that landed right in front of where the Snivy was now standing. The fireball exploded releasing a mix of smoke, and flames. Numel had used Lava Plume, and was getting serious. He could feel the energy draining effects of the Leech Seed take place now, and he snarled in rage.

"Dodge it!"
Laz ordered as he saw the Snivy freak out at how close the attack was. Still, she tried her best as her Vine Whip extended and managed to hang on the Aggrons body, to Raptures surprise. The Dinosaur didn't move though, which was a blessing. The steel around the the Aggron though was rather slippery from the recent Surf and so the Vine Whip wasn't as tight as it was supposed to be.
But as when the Snivy pulled herself up, zipping towards the Aggron, she wasn't fast enough to completely dodge the Lava Plume as her tail was caught by the attack. Losing focus from the sudden pain, the Snivy lost the chance to reach the Aggron as she fell down, her face skidding face first on the mud as she tried to blindly kill the fire and stop the pain from hurting her too much.
Her only reprieve was that she had managed to return her health from the Mega Drain and the continuous effect of Leech Seed helping her out so much. Feeling her energy return, she stood up again and assessed the situation. She was only a few feet away from the Numel, she was still doing well and was confident that so long as she can dodge the incoming attacks, she was golden.
With a snarl of rage, the Snivy rattled her tail as she fell on all four and rushed towards the Numel. Going in a snake like formation to make sure that she was not to be caught off guard, nor an easy target, grass type energy had began to flow to her tail once more. A good Leaf Blade should take care of this beast.
But, instead of like last time where she headed straight, parallel to the opponent, the Snivy slid this time, wanting to destroy the Numels leg with her Leaf Blade.

It wasn't long before the Numel felt the sting of another Leaf Blade, and it was aimed at it's legs. Not being fast enough to react Numel fell over, and the Leech Seed drained the last bit of its energy. Numel was knocked out now, and at your mercy to catch.

"Good Job, Ivy."
Laz said, congratulating his Snivy after he got up to his Aggrons shoulder plates again, his feet dangling as he did so. His Snivy was already looking worse for wear but there was a bright smile on her face. She was pretty happy that she had been able to win the battle. Noting that his Snivy was on the verge of unconsciousness, the red head saved her the trouble and quickly returned her to her pokeball. Offering her a silent thanks, even if she couldn't hear it, the red head marched forward.
Stopping in between the two fainted Numels though, the red head looked around and noted that there weren't anything else in the vicinity. Throwing one of his pokeballs at the pokemon that had been able to tough out that battle and had the Simple Ability, Laz had managed to catch the Numel. Styx, moving forward and scooping up the pokeball with his oversized pincers, reached up and handed his trainer the pokeball.
Gently handling it, the red head gave a small thanks to Styx who just clipped his claws and urged for them to move forward, wanting to fight something to fulfill his need to battle and improve himself. When the red head's hand had managed to grasp the pokeball properly, the little cage began to glow white like many times before as it was transported towards his PC. With a smile on his face, the red head continued on, wanting to see if this trip would grant him something better.
With his hopes ready and his pokemon more than ready to go, the red head marched forward.

As you move forward you hear something in the distance you don't know what it is, but it could be a horde of angry pokemon, or something else. Whatever it is it doesn't sound happy. The volcano is getting hotter the further you go in. You might find something if you stop, and look around closely, just be careful.
So do you

"You guys wanna take a short break?"
Laz asked his team as they shook their heads in a negative. The Crawdaunt and Aggron were getting impatient with all the doing nothing but walk routine and wanted to get some stuff done. Said stuff hopefully included bashing a pokemon's face in and inflicting some pain.
Laz just gave a small shake of his head and a small laugh to accompany it. His pokemon really were too excitable when it came to fights. They hadn't suffered any sort of damage anyway and were still in pretty good shape.
Deciding that they'd only be wasting daylight by stopping, the red head allowed his pokemon to keep going but only to stop mid stride when the sounds of an angry pokemon could be heard. Both Styx and Rapture raised their heads in acknowledgement...and well, with those two, Laz couldn't really do anything as they headed for the sounds.
Still, Laz should've been used to it by now.
