Name: Dominique “Meeka” Sparhawk
Age: 15
Appearance: Meeka has pink hair, red eyes, and what appears to be a pair of horns protruding from her head. Except they’re not really horns. Instead, they’re bows in her hair that resemble horns that she’s worn since she was nine years old. They serve no purpose, and are actually stuck there—pulling them is painful, and the only way Meeka would be able to take them off is to completely shave her head. Needless to say, she’s been living with them for about six years.
She usually wears a red shirt with a yellow/white striped skirt, or a pink dress slightly covered by a black apron. Either of these are accompanied by a green jester-like hat that covers her “horns” and the top part of her pink hair.
Personality: Meeka quite literally has two different personalities, both of them contrasting one another. She is usually a total sweetheart, kind, considerate outgoing, and friendly. We will refer to this as Kind Meeka. The other personality is quiet, reserved, sarcastic, and (usually) unintentionally mean. We’ll call this Quiet Meeka.
Kind Meeka usually makes the most appearances, and more often than not, she’s liked by the people she meets. Kind Meeka would not hesitate to help out a friend, and usually tries anything she can to help those in need. She makes friends quite easily, and tries to be the first to start a conversation. She loves meeting new people to a great extent, believing that new relationships are vital for a good soul.
Quiet Meeka will make an appearance in one of two ways. Meeka wakes up feeling down, or suffers a hit to the head strong enough to knock her down. Quiet Meeka is more reluctant around people, and usually tries to stay away from big groups of people. She’s more comfortable reading a book than she is talking to people, but if interaction with others is truly necessary, she will (reluctantly) socialize, if just barely.
History: Meeka’s past is nothing special. She was not abused by her parents, she was not abandoned, she is not an orphan. Her childhood was happy, for the most part. Meeka’s parents both owned a small maid café in South Ecruteak City in Johto. The successful venue brought the Sparhawks more than enough income, and as such, Meeka was raised living in an above-average home. Despite this, she’s rather humble, in either Kind or Quiet persona. She will try to refrain from being a burden, and would rather give than to receive. The humble demeanor may or may not have been brought on by being around maids almost all the time.
Next to the maid café, was the Ecruteak Dance Theater, where young Meeka met the Kimono girls, and their Eeveelutions. Meeka met her love for Pokemon in this little place. Having played at least once with each of the Kimono Girls’ Eeveelution, Meeka decided she wanted a Pokemon of her own. With her money, she went down to the Poke Mart in the city and bought a bag of Poke Balls. Determined, she ran down to the outskirts of the City, and tried to catch a Pidgey. The encounter… went less than desirable. Without a Pokemon of her own, she was unable to weaken the Pidgey, and essentially wasted all her Poke Balls.
Defeated, she returned home, where she told her parents about her failed encounter with the wild Pidgey. Her parents then decided to send Meeka to the Pokemon Academy, in hopes that Meeka would end up coming back a more accomplished trainer.
