It was a cool breezy morning at the endless plains where Sage was sitting at her favorite spot sitting on wooden log under the shade of a medium sized tree. Since it was rather cool than a hot and sunny morning, she wore warm clothing consisting of black and white striped sweater, a red scarf, and dark blue skinny jeans that actually felt comfortable. The bright sun was hiding behind a bunch of cloud high up in the bright blue sky just waiting to show itself again. She agreed to train and battle with her best friend Rai today since they actually haven’t hung out or battled together for a while. She heard that he had a crush on her other friend, Eros so she figured Rai must have hanging out with him lately. Maybe. She felt a bit left behind since she really did miss her best friend Raize. She would usually tell him of her problems and just have him listen to her let it all out. It was just a matter of having someone being there for you, to support you no matter what. She had a feeling that Raize was most likely going to use his Flaaffy in their battle because his flaaffy needed some training to do. It was a good opportunity since the pokemon she was going to be using was her darumaka, Bandit who also needed some training and was also a first stager so thus, seemed like it would be an equal and fair battle between their two pokemon. She sent out her darumaka to keep her company who affectionately jumped into her arms and hugged her tightly and then, sat beside her on the log. She told her darumaka to alert her if he saw a blonde male trainer passing by and he nodded in response and looked sharply at the surroundings. She put on her headphones and began humming to one of her songs that was playing. 327 WORDS , RAI

[Raize Phoenix]

"Good Morning everyone!" Raize woke up, greeting his fellow poke pals. Today was his last day to relax in the black dorm, he'd be moving up & in with his boyfriend hopefully. "Typhlo!" Dante smiled with a gentle roar. "Sol." "Ambi!" Oni and Alastair would cry out, also greeting their human pal. Though Oni was used to being alone and such, he had grown to become more comfortable with the rest of the family. "Good morning Car--" Rai looked over to Car's side of the room to see she wasn't there. Today wasn't class filled so she must have been out handling business as always. Being used to this, Rai would only smile & stretch with a silent yawn.

"Stop! Now make that mother f#cker hammer time!" Rai's phone echoed through the room. "Who's text did I miss now?" Rai looked over to his goldenrod night stand. Putting in the pass word to his smart phone, he'd see quite a number of notifications. "I'll have to text Eros back later, says here Im late for some--" Rai paused, glaring at the screen. "Oh Snap!" His phone burst with sound once more, the same alarm that he had just read had played once more. It was the reminder to meet Sage in the plains this morning for a good training session and to catch up. After the shopping trip to the city, the two hadn't been able to talk as much. Today would just be making up for the missed late night calls about the usual teen topics.

Rushing to the closet, Rai would fling clothing all over his bed. "What to wear?" He questioned aloud. Turning back to the phone, using the shortcuts on his home screen, Rai would get to the weather app in no time. Though it didnt do much fo PA to be on a private island, it still told Rai the weather of the region. "Fifty something, then it'll increase a bit." Rai commented to himself. "Got it!" Rai smiled, pulling out another one of his "unworn" beauties of clothing. "Gray skinnies, blue beanie and brown boots will go great with this." His mind sped through different and multiple outcomes.

"Alright!" Rai would finish getting dressed, looking at the full body mirror. "It fits nicely still. Hell, its better than before." Rai complimented, wishing everyone a goodbye. "Well, actually..." Rai had a thought before leaving the dorms. "Dante, mind giving my a ride?" He pleaded with a cute button eyed smile. "Typhlo!" He walked from the room. Finally reaching outside, Rai would mount his partner. Darting off towards the giant tree that Sage mentioned.

Finally reaching Sage, Rai would hop off and run up to her. Dante would stand on all fours & stretch. "Ty!" It roared. "Sage!" Rai huggled his best friend on the island. "I missed you so much. Sorry Im late. If it wasn't for Dante, I would've been even later. But enough about my excuse, how've you been?" Rai asked, taking a seat on the grass next to her. Dante would then sit next to his human partner, having enjoyed the little work out.

Sage was falling asleep after listening to some slow love song on her black music player that was attached to her hip side. She had set the music player to shuffle and so far, it only shuffled love songs not some hyped up songs that would help her get pumped up for the battle. She could have changed it manually but then again, she felt lazy at the moment. She should have been thinking about strategies for her battle against Raize but her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of other things concerning well, guys that she had mixed feelings about. There was Thomas, her good friend who she felt comfortable with and was easy to tease though she promised that she would defeat him since he was her first loss and especially that his pokemon crushed her beloved starter pokemon, Zeal. It wouldn’t have been a big deal of him beating but she was very protective over her first pokemon and felt like she failed him. Thomas reminded her of her guy friends who were like the diamonds in the roughs. He even gave her his darumaka as a present but she wasn’t sure why. He was attractive all right and she did like him. But why did she feel so confused? She slapped her face in her frustration and looked down sighing in thought. Did she have feelings for him or was it because he reminded her of her guy friends back home? Then there was this strangely beautiful guy named Seta who seemed mysterious and very sophisticated and out of her league. He was so patient, nice, and so caring. He wasn’t like a rough and though kind of guy she was so used to handling. He could even cook well and his food was very delicious. His different attitude and demeanor threw her off. But why did he make her heart thump faster and faster? She bit her lip in frustration and in her inner turmoil. Gosh, why was she such a girl? She took out a red bandana that her friend back home gave her out of her black backpack and tied it around her neck. Her friend actually gave her that bandana out of initiation of joining their band, gang, or whatever it was called. Well, she knew she had joined the band out of curiosity and for the money from performing. She eventually became the drummer of the band and rotational singer. Her band mates had wanted her to become the lead vocals for her “golden angel” sound but she hesitantly declined because she was still insecure about being up on stage and singing since she had sometimes forgotten the lyrics on stage. Each member of the band wore red bandanas to represent their band and on the side, their gang. She really didn’t want to be part of that part of that life but she was already heavily involved with the uppers of the gang—her band mates. They had admitted to her that they were actually looking for a girl to make them not look suspicious but surprisingly she forgave him and said they had already became her close friends. Her band mates were surprised of course but then said, “As long as you wear the red scarf; you’ll always be safe and be protected by us. We’ll always be there no matter what. Besides, we’re the Red Scarfs.” She always remembered those words and especially the last part, “Don’t you dare forget ‘bout us. We’ll always be watching you Angel.” She said out loud looking out to the unsure and clouded distance, “Where are you guys now?” Damn, she was supposed to be tough, confident, and a jokester, but she was not any of those. She was insecure and afraid of the future. She was all smiles outside and she didn’t know what she was inside. Flirting with other guys didn’t help take her mind off things anymore. She actually liked a guy but she didn’t know what to do and didn’t want to make a mistake she would regret again. She needed to talk to someone—anyone. Like an answer to her prayer, her darumaka jumped onto her lap startling her and pointing in front of her directing her to the view of a guy a Ty—wait was that Rai riding Dante? It was! Finally, she could talk to him about things she needed to get out. She took a deep breath and stood up waving happily at Dante and her friend Raize who were coming toward her. She watched him jump off of Dante and she yelled jokingly, “You’re late!” though she was suddenly startled when Dante roared. But then attention was distracted when her best friend gave her a big hug and said that he missed her and apologized for being late. She gave him a soft smile, “I missed you so much Rai. It’s been a while. And no, you actually weren’t even late. But—“she laughed, “Glad that Dante agreed to let you ride him, am I right? Did your puppy dog eyes do the trick this time?” She felt her darumaka pull on her leg in order to get her attention and she said, “Oh right my bad,” and picked up her darumaka, “This is here is Bandit” as she smiled proudly at her addition to her team. Bandit waved back at Raize and smiled mischievously at him. He looked like a perfect target for a prank sometime in the future. When her friend sat down on the grass, she decided to sit on the green grass with him since she was tired of sitting on the log for a while. Then he asked her how was she, she looked intently at the ground wondering if she should tell him what was bothering her. She could tell him about her feeling a bit homesick but about her guy problems maybe or maybe not. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. But then again, he was her best friend so she could tell him anything right? She looked down trailing off, “Well the thing is…you know I act all confident in a bunch of things but when it comes to love, I can’t even think and I get caught up. I’m all confused inside actually. Um can we talk about it after the battle? Just need to clear my head with a battle with a good friend like you before anything else” as she gave him a small smile. 1086 WORDS , RAI

[Raize Phoenix]

With the huggling and small chitter chat, it was quite nice for her to forgive him like that. It had been some time since since they had hung out or even battled, so doing so would be an amazing thing. Though he felt he was late, Sage would smile & playfully yell it, only to tell the truth about him being on time a second later. Its why he liked Sage a lot, she was very playful and always so confident. It was awesome how she could never be put down.. Its the positive attitude that Rai enjoyed being around at all times. "Haha." Rai gave a light chukle to her playful joke and getting a ride from Dante. "Yeah, Im pretty happy about it." He would laugh.

Holding up the darumaka, Sage introduced the little guy. His name was Bandit, which wasn't too bad at all. It actually kinda fit the little guy. "Aw, he's so cute." Rai smiled at the pokemon, waving lightly at it. "Nice to meet you too." He grinned, not noticing the little guy had a devious look.

When Sage sat down in the grass next to him, he would smile. It reminded him of when the first met on the beach oh so long ago. It also reminded him of when they went shopping together and had frappuccinos. "Its okay, we can talk about the mushy stuff later." He joked with a light chuckle. Looking at the sky he would try to figure out what was happening to everyone. Lately everyone had been changing. Even he had undergone some changes. He'd become less oblivious to others' emotions and more understanding of his own and others. His hair was still at its perfect length. Surprisingly with no split ends either. As a trainer he'd come up with quite a bit of strategies to him out where ever he goes & doing what ever he does. He'd also gotten stronger, emotionally and physically, with the help of his poke pal family helping him.

"I miss hanging out like this Sage." He added, with a gentle sigh. With his dorm rank going up, constantly going on epic adventures, and spending time with his lover, the magnificent Eros. So much was happening at PA, it was surprising that everyone didnt hang out as much as they could before. Maybe it was the changing seasons. People's emotions seem to always change with weather, so a whole season changing might be worse or better than the weather itself changing.

As Rai pondered the thoughts, he got up and did a quick stretch. Moving away from Sage, Rai had set himself up to battle. "Alrighty then! Lets get this party started." He smiled at Sage. Hopefully this battle would take her mind of things, like she asked. And hopefully she'd regain her confidence and such, like Rai did in their first battle when they first met. Pushing the thoughts of why people change aside, he would smirk as he released his first choice. "Tomo your up!" He called out, tossing the ball in a very "exciting" manner."Phan!" Tomo rolled in circles for a bit before stopping and staring at the opponent. "Your move Sage."
