Jacques walked towards the laboratory. He was here to take the test to see what grade he would get on this test. He was ready to take the test and to make this academy his permanent home. After taking a swig from the water bottle by his side he would knock on the door ready to take his test. The door cracked open but he wasn't going to say much except for the simple answer. "Hello. Anyone here?"

He spoke in an emotionless tone of voice before veering off to the side and entering a broad room to the right of the laboratory. The room literally held nothing but a dust-like structure that covered the ground. If one were to guess, they could easily infer that many other rookies had taken their battle exam in the same room. The instructor fiddled with his belt for a little while carefully balancing a plate of pokeballs in the other hand. After extracting a pokeball for himself; he held it out towards JJacques and gestured him forwards. "Pick one, and we shall begin." He ordered calmly. "How you do on this exam determines which rank you'll fall into, so I suggest you take it seriously."If you were to throw out your Pokemon, you would have received a Leafeon. VS [/ul]

Jacques would listen to what the man had to say. He followed him and took the pokeball in the middle. He released the pokemon in it and saw leafeon. He didn't mind the pokemon he knew enough about it. It wasn't the strongest pokemon out their but he thought he might be able to fair quite reasonably in this battle. He did have experience. His father didn't pay all those tutors for nothing. They were paid to help him become a trainer like no other. "Shall we begin."

Before the two could begin, Yang still needed to give the required card to the boy. Unless he had a history that covered Pokemon thoroughly, the white-haired instructor severely doubted he could list all of Leafeon’s attacks and create skillful move chains. ”Of course. However, before we begin, please take this card. It lists five moves your Leafeon may use.” Yang told him silently. He pulled a card out of a file he kept in a sheer white folder before handing it towards him. Engraved on the bold card were five listed moves.
Leafeon Moves Razor Leaf, Last Resort, Swords Dance, Sunny Day, Quick Attack
”You may make the first move.” Yang told him, taking his position on the further side of the field.

Jacques looked at the card for a quick second. Truth be told he did know a lot about pokemon. He studied for most of his life. In battle experience wasn't exactly his forte but he knew enough about the moves to try his best to get a decent rank out of this test. He took a couple steps away from the leafeon and looked back at the pokemon it was up against. A Medicham fighting type.
He believed Leafeon would be faster then the bipedal pokemon so he decided to take advantage of just that. "Ok use swords dance and then razor leaf." The fox like pokemon attack rose making it's next attack even more dangerous. On both sides leafs rose and started spinning at immense speeds. Their target was the Medicham that they were swiftly approaching. Jacques wanted the Leafeon to be on it's toes. Due to the fact that Medicham probably was a Close combat fighter he would want to keep his distance.

All at once, the stadium came to life as the borrowed Leafeon summoned swords to it’s sides. Without a single moment’s hesitation, the grass-type started to jump around with the weapons, increasing it’s attack power somehow. Sometimes it was best not to question logic in the world of Pokemon. Only following it’s current trainer’s orders, the grass-type let out a shrill cry before summoning leaves with it’s power’s and sending them towards Medicham and Yang as if they were throwing knives.
Before either Yang or Medicham could react, the blade-like leaves hit Medicham’s flesh. The fighting-type shouted out in irritation, it’s eyes glowing silver with anger.
”Medicham, Ice Punch.” Yang demanded, his bright cyan eyes full of mischief. With a move set such as Medicham’s, this should be over rather easily… [/blockquote]

Jacques was glad that the Leafeon was able to get the first hit. He however wasn't prepared for the Medicham's attack. "Use razor leaf again." When it attempted the razor leaf Leafeon was smacked right in the face with the ice punch. Unfortunately it would succumb to a one hit K.O. He put the Leafeon back in the pokeball and sighed.
Jacques was rather unimpressed with himself. Even though it wasn't entirely his fault. His chances weren't that good from the beginning. He waited for the tester to tell him his rank and give him his pokemon. More then anything in the world he was hoping to get either a tirtouga or a staryu. Even though the chances of it happening were not likely at all. A boy could dream couldn't he.

It was then that, in a stir of the moment act, Yin busted through the doors. He paced over to Yang, grabbed him by the arm and began to drag him out. Looks like Yin was trying to ask Yang out again-- not that the student would know.
He looked at the student and glowered. "Black Dorm, take this dipshit," he muttered as he threw a Pokeball at the student.
((Okay, you have been placed in Black Dorm and your started is a Gulpin!))[/blockquote

He took the belt and the pokeball and left. There was no reason at all to respond to the jackass and idiot who gave him the test. They were going to get what was coming to them. All in due time. Jacques Khan would not forget this day and keep the Gulpin as a way to remember the bastards who did this to him.
