Jenos was standing in front of a room with huge sliding doors. He was nervous. It was the infamous laboratory he had heard so much about. It was here where a person who wanted to join the Academy would battle one of the testers. His very fate depended on that battle. He decided that if he did stay outside, staring at the gigantic doors, he may just get cold feet and turn away. However he was determined and putting those thoughts aside, he stepped into the laboratory without a moments hesitation.
The laboratory looked empty at first glance, his footsteps resonated throughout the room as he walked on the brightly polished surface. He held his breath and then said out loud, "Excuse me? I need a tester." and then waited with anticipation and nervous excitement.

”I’m right here.” A cold voice answered Jenos from within the laboratory. Standing near a broad doorway with a tray of red and white orbs in his arms was Yang, one of the two vice principals. His hair went down to the crease in his back, and he wore nothing but the color of sheer alabaster. Yang’s eyes were a darker shade of cyan, looking almost demonic. His appearance as a whole could send shivers down a person’s spine. Without another word the instructor grabbed a small packet of note cards from one of the steel tables and motioned towards Jenos as if he expected him to follow after him.
A huge battle arena sat within the laboratory’s side door. The room was entirely blank, aside from the ebony gravel that covered the ground beneath the two. Without the slightest bit’ of
hesitation, Yang held the ray out towards the red-haired boy. ”Pick one.” He demanded. ”Once you pick one, send it out. How you do on this exam determines which rank you are to be placed in.” The instructor told the rookie, his face never changing expressions as he spoke. It was rather creepy, to be entirely honest…
If Jenos were to release the Pokemon he had chosen, he’d see a rather agile-looking bug-type with brilliantly colored wings. It may not have been the most masculine thing in the world, but one could never underestimate a Pokemon’s power.
VS
”Take this card.” Yang instructed. He reached into the box he had brought out earlier and pulled out a card with a list of five moves Beautifly could use. The white-haired instructor assumed the boy didn’t really know all that much about Pokemon to begin with… He was at a Pokemon Academy, after all.
Beautifly’s Moves Absorb, Silver Wind, Stun Spore, Morning Sun, Bug Buzz After giving the card to the boy, the instructor walked to the other side of the field with the Primeape and waited for Jenos to begin the battle.
Ooc: For future purposes, Pokemon may use any move they are capable of learning naturally. This does not include egg moves, and most certainly not TMs. [/blockquote]

“I’m right here.” A voice answered Jenos. Jenos froze and turned towards a broad doorway. In front of it stood a person, decked in white, his azure eyes staring at him, his face expressionless. He then turned towards one of the steel tables and picking up a pack of note cards from the table walked through a door, which Jenos hadn’t noticed before. Jenos followed him without saying a word. It opened up into a huge battle arena. After listening to Yang, Jenos picked up one of the many poke balls on the tray and released the Pokémon in it. He stared at the beautifly he had just released. It looked back at him, really excited to be in battle and maybe because it now had a chance of stretching its wings. “Beautifly is a bug-flying type if I remember correctly.” He then took the card Yang handed out. Yang then headed towards the other side of the field. Jenos looked at the card and thought for a minute or two. He did know a bit about beautifly. He had read about most Pokémon really intensively. He did lack experience in battle but he knew the moves quite well. “Most of Primeape’s moves need physical contact. I think as a flying Pokémon we can avoid that if Beautifly keeps a distance from him If I do remember correctly, Fighting type pokemon are resistant to bug type.” Jenos thought. “At the moment it can’t be helped.” “Beautifly, use Bug buzz and follow the attack with Silver Wind.”

Before Yang could issue an order to Primeape, the Beautifly’s wings started to flap wildly in midair. After a few moments of colliding against one another, a harsh “buzz” sounded from the bug-type’s glittery wings. Primeape let out a slight cry of annoyance as it placed it’s gloved hands over it’s fur-covered ears. ”Prime-ape! Primeape!” [Hey, cut it out! You’ll make me angry…!] The pig-like Pokemon cried out viciously. Of course, only the Beautifly would be able to understand it…
”Primeape, dodge the Silver Wind attack by keeping your grip on the ground. Then attack with Close Combat.” Yang ordered.
As soon as Beautifly whipped up a gust of brilliant white wind, the fighting-type clung to the ground stiffly. It had barely made it, but the wind eventually died down and Primeape leaped to it’s legs. With an angry cry, the instructor’s Pokemon ran towards Beautifly with an attack ready. [/blockquote]

Primeape dodged the Silver wind by clinging to the ground. Then as Yang ordered, he began closing in , running towards Beautifly really fast, grunting. "Beautifly, dodge the attack by flying around him swiftly, but keep a good distance. Fly higher up if he gets too close.Use stun spore and follow it by Bug buzz again!" Beautifly spread out its wings and began to fly higher up.

Yang watched silently as the Beautifly dodged Primeape’s attack. Shortly after, the young rookie started to issue a series of new attacks… Yang clicked his tongue, feeling rather disappointed with his Primeape. He should have been able to manage better than this. Acting quickly, Yang parted his lips to speak.
”Primeape, get out of the way of the stun spore. Follow up with Fling, and continue on with Assurance if you can.” The white-haired instructor called out towards the pig-like Pokemon.
Acting quickly, Yang’s borrowed Pokemon narrowed its slanted eyes at the yellow dust flying towards it. It dashed out of the way; glaring at Beautifly throughout the entire process. Once Yang gave it the signal, it grabbed a rough rock Yang had passed towards it and rose its arm to chuck it towards the Beautifly. After throwing the rock with as much strength as it could muster, the fighting-type quickly ran towards the flying-type while it was distracted and prepared to nail it across its small torso with Assurance.
”How will you fare with this, rookie?” Yang inquired, his face and voice emotionless. [/blockquote]

”Primeape, get out of the way of the stun spore. Follow up with Fling, and continue on with Assurance if you can.”
Jenos watched Primeape dodge Beautifly's Stun spore. He cursed under his breath. He had hoped that Primeape would succumb to Stun spore and allow them to finish of the battle faster. Primeape flung a rock towards beautifly, just as Yang instructed and then he ran towards the Beautifly, quickly, hoping to nail Beautifly in the torso using Assurance.
Jenos narrowed his eyes, and then remembering how Primeape had dodged Silver wind the first time called out, " Beautifly, dodge that rock by flying above it. Let Primeape jump into the air and once he does, use Silver wind!" After all, Beautifly was flying up really high and Primeape would need to jump in order to use Assurance.

(( Since you've waited for two days, I'm going to go ahead and give you yellow rank. You may choose your starter from either Wurmple, Slowpoke or Snubble. Also, I must remind you that you attempted to dodge too much at the battle test. Keep speed and reality in mind as you attempt to battle, also said trainer wouldn't have that much experience and would be rather clumsy when battling. But it doesn't really apply now. ))
