Poor Prisoner B.... he was such a nice guy!
Name: Tyler Silverman
Age: 15
Appearance: Same as image, but more casual clothing of cream-coloured pants and a basic, patternless red T-shirt with normal white sneakers.
Personality: Tyler is one of those people others would want around, but never truly sought after. He is not the powerful protector, all knowing scientist or just the freakishly handsome one (though he does blur the line between cute and handsome quite nicely). He’s just that nice guy who’ll help however he can, and do his best in any attempt. He tries to avoid confrontation when he can but can and will still voice his opinion, but never with his fists.... unless of course, he’s quite badly insulted or pushed to it. His self esteem is pretty low as a result of his father’s constant berating and finding flaws in everything he does, and he never had a whole lot of friends... especially female. Which is unfortunate, as teen years create a lot of interest in that opposing gender and his experience is next to nil, which makes him quite shy and awkward.... especially if he fancies them.
History: Raised almost exclusively in the Feugo Ironworks of Sinnoh, the commonly nicknamed Ty had a rough relationship with his father, his only parent. His supposed mother passed away when he was very little, but his father had made repeated claims that Ty was actually adopted, claims the boy refuses to believe on both grounds of evidence (or lack thereof) and what little connection to his mother he has left. This may indeed be false as his father treated him harshly throughout his life to ‘make him strong’, a plan which saw repeated failures as the gentle natured Ty refused to be moulded into his father’s more rough desires as to what he should.
As a result Mr Silverman is borderline abusive with his criticism of his son, especially with regards to favoured types: while Mr Silverman, as a smelter favours Fire-types, Tyler himself saw the value, or connected with the often-abused Steel types that hung around the Ironworks. Ty was sent to Pokemon Academy in the hope that it’ll ‘turn him into a real man’, according to his father, while Tyler himself is adamant he can become successful in a path he enjoys... proving himself to his father is thus an important long-term goal. It is also rare opportunity for Ty to attempt to just be himself without any scrutiny, or at least, not the kind he regularly receives at home, and this removes some of the weight and stress from the young trainer’s shoulders.
