Appearance:
Eros is a young man who weighs somewhere around 140 lbs. He's 5"8', with long legs and a mid-sized torso. His eyes a beautiful mocha brown, and he dyes his blonde hair to match them. Together, his hair and eyes serve as the two distinguishing features of his physical appearance. Those brown eyes of his are large and take up most of his face; his ears, lips, and nose are relatively small. Small, but cute. His left ear is pierced, because it thinks to his overall appearance.
His body mass is small, so it is easy for him to tone muscles. His biceps and triceps aren't huge, but they look good on him. The same goes for his slender (but firm) calves, whose muscles have been formed over years of walking around his home town. As far as dress goes, Eros is flexible. Whatever he wears around campus on any given day is totally dependable upon one factor: whatever he doesn't have to iron the wrinkles out of. During contests (and major battles) he likes to dress up in formal tuxedos (ranging in all colors of the rainbow) with matching capes. The capes, he believes, add flare and focuses attention on him.
Personality:
Eros is a complex individual, and that's to say the least. It should first be noted that his aspirations come before all - the ultimate actor (though some would tend to use the word drama queen - Eros just wants to be the focal point of the spotlight. That being said, he sometimes does questionable things. It's obvious that he is confused with what he wants out of life, but in Eros's head he has everything planned out.
Mr. Wakefield is a lover of beautiful things. He doesn't search for the beauty in things; if it doesn't POP OUT at him, it isn't worth his time. (He feels the same applies to him, so he is always trying to POP OUT). He is bisexual, claiming that he is a lover of attractiveness, and attractiveness transcends gender. He also has no Pokemon preference - if a Pokemon can prove it's beauty and prove it's worth as a member of his party, he will pounce on the opportunity to catch it.
In battle, Eros tries to be as strong as he can. How can Pokemon respond well to a weak trainer? As Eros puts it, they can't. He loves contests because they show off his and his Pokemon's beauty, but he always keeps in mind that winning the battle must and always will be the first priority.
When with friends, Eros tends to show more of his docile side: the side of him that is weak, vulnerable, insecure and only desires to be accepted by all. Friends are hard to come by for Eros. And if he doesn't particularly like a person he's sure to let them know. In ideal difficult fashion, he usually picks verbal fights and wants the other end of the squabble to apologize first. Even when he's wrong, he'll rather lose a friend than admit it. People often find it easier to forget and move on than ask for an "I'm Sorry" from Eros. For him to apologize means he really cherishes the person doesn't think he could function without them in his life.
And when with his Pokemon, Eros shows his more paternal side. He loves them each and only wants to better them in the same way he believes they better him. His love of winning is what drives him to want to train with them, but two living beings can not interact for long periods of time without developing a special bond.
In a nutshell, Eros's life motto can be summed up to this: "Prisoner B is a nice guy."
History:
Eros Wakefield was born to his hippie mother underwater. He has never met his father, nor does he ever want to. The spawn of a lust-filled act under a starry night while Noctowl's watched on, Eros was named after the god of Love. As years rolled by, Eros grew up learning from his mother that life was full of beauty, and he just had to look for it. What he ever really looked for was a father; one who never showed up. After he stopped looking for his father around age nine, he stopped looking for beauty too. He knows that it's there, just like his father is somewhere, but he won't look for it. Only acknowledge it and move on.
Neighborhood children were amusing play things; they gave the blonde boy the attention he craved because he only had one parent at home to ever give him any. His mother did all she did, Eros knows that and doesn't blame her at all, but still. He would learn all of the children's names, so that they would all be obligated to learn his. It was around age twelve that he realized just how big and brown his eyes were (a girl he had a crush on told him he had pretty eyes) and figured matching hair would enhance his appeal. It was around age thirteen that he began to feel an attraction for girls, and around age thirteen and a half that he began to feel an attraction for boys.
His mother's Butterfree was the only Pokemon that Eros ever really had contact with; he didn't see the beauty in the insect. But it wasn't until one night that his eyes were truly opened to the possibilities. "Come here," his mother had said one night, when the stars and moon had been clouded over, and it was particularly black outside. She commanded her Pokemon to use the move Moonlight, and as the clouds parted and the giant white orb peeked through, illuminating everything for as far as Eros could see, he decided that Pokemon had to be in his life. And not just any Pokemon; Pokemon able to perform beautiful, dazzling, spectacular feats. Show stoppers.
When offered an opportunity to attend the world-renowned Pokemon Academy, Eros's mother understood that her baby boy just had to accept the offer. With a kiss on the cheek and a whispered "always be beautiful," he hopped on the monorail across the ocean to the island where he would, hopefully, learn how to attract attention wherever he went.
