Ari had butterflies in his stomach. As he walked into the laboratory, the youngest heir to the Wulfgard name squeezed his bunny tightly.
"I h-hope there's nothing sc-scary in here..." he murmured, as he entered the lab.

Air spoke too soon. As soon as the small boy entered, the doors to the lab opened. A tall man dressed in black walked in and glared down at him. "You don't look like much," he growled. The man then turned to the cabinet and pulled out a tray of Pokeballs. "Follow!" he barked as he walked out the doors to a large dry desert field. [/blockquote]

Ari yelped, following after the man. He moved slowly, his feet dragging against the ground, his face hidden by the stuffed rabbit. "P-please, M-mister... Slow down..." he murmured, eyes barely showing over the top of the rabbit.

The tester named Yin frowned. "No, if you can't keep up, then you shouldn't come to this school," he snapped. The man held out the tray with Pokeballs. "Pick on, release it, and then we'll battle to decide your dorm ranking," he explained, staring at the child with expectant eyes.
((Pokemon he will get shall be a Rhydon)) [/blockquote]

Ari's eyes widen, as he lightly tosses the pokeball at the ground, not wanting to scratch it. The boy was trembling- what if it got scratched? Or what if the pokemon decided to eat him?
As the huge Rhydon emerged, the boy realized he was about be trampled, as the creature ran towards him, a roar echoing 'RHYYYYYYY-DOOOONN!' blaring from it's mouth.
And, so, Ari did the one thing that any logical human being would do at this point- assumed the fetal position, cuddled his bunny, and started to cry.

Yin twitched as he stared at the crying whimpering boy. "..." He was speechless. The man didn't even bother to grab a Pokeball for him to use. This battle was going to be pathetic. "Be a man! Stand up!" he shouted at the boy. [/blockquote]

Ari continued crying, hugging his bunny. There was no way he'd be able to do much of anything. "P-p-please, c-can I have a-another one?" he asked, crying.

Yin growled. "No, you either use it or you don't battle." [/blockquote]

The boy cowered some more, mumbling to himself. "F-fine, I won't battle, then..."

"Black Dorm." Yin turned and walked toward the boy, holding all the pokeballs. He took the Pokeball from the cowering boy and returned the Pokemon to it's ball. Then he placed it in front of the boy and crouched down so that their faces only an inch apart. "You'll be keeping this Pokemon. I expect you to train it daily or face punishment." With that, Yin stood up and left the field. [/blockquote]

Ari cowers, squeezing his bunny tightly. "B-black dorm? That sounds r-really, really bad!" he says, running away- leaving the Pokeball behind. "I'm not g-gonna take that p-pokemon with m-me, it might e-eat me..."
