The waves crashed against the boulder Rose was sitting on, before receding into the ocean. The waters were a bright turquoise blue, in contrast to the white bed of sand that sparkled in the sunlight whenever the sun peeked out from behind the mass of clouds. Rose was extremely tired. Being an insomniac, she had not slept at all the previous night. The fact that she was living in the yellow dorms made it even worse. All night, a bunch of Heracross had taken a liking to the tree right outside her room and they had kept her awake the entire night. Rose hated living in the forest; it was unusually cold nowadays and that didn’t help her either. She had left her dorm the earliest she could and had decided to go out for a walk. She ultimately ended up at the beach, and after walking a long distance along the coastline, she had decided to sit down on a boulder in a secluded spot and catch her breath.
The view from her boulder was extremely scenic. Earlier, the sun had been completely covered by a mass of clouds, but now the clouds had begun moving away slowly, allowing beams of sunlight to filter through them, illuminating the wide stretch of water that lay before her. She was sure she had heard some singing earlier; it had sounded like a Pokémon, but Rose was not sure and finally dismissed it as the wind. Right now, everything was quiet. There weren’t any people in sight, which made Rose feel much more comfortable with the place. It wasn’t that she was shy, she just that she preferred being a loner. And besides she didn’t want the atmosphere to get marred by a group of noisy and annoying students. She hummed softly to herself out of habit, most of the song lost in the strong wind that blew across the ocean.

The Beach was a very calming place. Many people and Pokemon often came here to relax and clear their minds. And today, the beach was great for that. There weather was great, and that meant there wasn't any crazy winds or waves. That was probably why so many Pokemon were out and being active. And that meant many were both in the water, or on the beach.
Of these, there were five very noticeable Pokemon, split into two groups. The one group had a Lombre dancing and cheering up two Poliwags. The two Poliwags seems a bit sad, but as they watched the Lombre dance around, it was easy to tell they were getting happier, even if the trainer was a good distance away. The other grouping, however, consisted of a Wailmer splashing around in the water while a Totadile looked around the Wailmer absentmindedly and laughed. He wasn't a simpleton, just easily distracted and uncaring of the world.

Options: A) Interact with the Lombre and Poliwags B) Interact with the Wailmer and Totadile C) Get off the rock and look elsewhere D) BOOOOOORED! I'm going home!

Rose turned to her left on hearing the cries of two Poliwags. The two looked like they were enjoying themselves; a Lombre seemed to be entertaining them. Rose raised an eyebrow. She considered approaching the group, but she wasn’t so keen on catching any of them. However, they seemed to be distracted at the moment. Rose jumped down from her rock before she heard a splash. She turned to the right, to see a Wailmer and a Totoile. A Totodile and a Wailmer huh? Rose stopped and began to walk towards the second group. She wanted something stronger, but she knew she had to start somewhere. A totodile would be a good addition to her current team. She stopped a bit away from the two Pokémon, hoping that she wouldn’t startle them yet. The Wailmer was busy splashing in the shallow water and the Totodile was laughing at him, unaware of Rose’s presence for the time being.

The Wailmer used her large size and pushed herself out of the water, than would fall back down, making a splash and causing waves to crash around. She had kept an eye on the Totadile, careful not to splash him. Whenever she wanted to interact with him, she would simply swim over to him and nudge him slightly. She knew he was easily distracted, so she would do her best not to startle him. As for right now, he was watching some Staraptors flying high above.
"TOTATOTA!" he called out. Closing his eyes, the Totadile jumped up and down and began to run around, flapping his arms. Running around, imagining himself flying, he giggled happily before bumping into the Wailmer. "Wail. Wailmer" it chirped back in a laugh. And while the girl was getting closer, the Totadile nodded to the Wailmer and rubbed his neck. Looking away from the Wailmer, the Totadile noticed the girl, though faintly. He waved, unsure if she could see him. If he was having a hard time seeing a tall girl, she would probably have a hard time seeing him. Or, at least, that's what he thought.

Options: A) K, this Totadile is nuts, I'm going to avoid it and go back to those other grouping B) K, this Totadile is crazy, and I'm not fond of the others either, I'm leaving and going to find some others C) Haha, cute. I'm going to go interact with the Totadile and Wailmer

The two pokemon didn’t seem to be aware of her presence yet. They played in the shallow water jovially, the Wailmer was splashing the Totodile and the Totodile was busy running around in circles. The totodile suddenly stopped and looked at Rose and waved. Rose stopped in her tracks and wondered whether the Totdile was actually sane. However, she was more than determined to add him to her team. She planned allowing Raiden to befriend him; he seemed like a friendly type. If that didn’t work, she would have to use force. Rose gripped the pokeball in her hand, and let her Elekid out. “Elekid?” Raiden asked her. Rose pointed to the Totodile and Raiden nodded his head. He walked up to the two Pokémon maintaining a bit of distance between them. “Be nice Raiden.” Rose called out. “Elekid?Elekid?” Raiden said, trying to strike up a conversation.

When the two Water Types noticed the girl getting closer, they watched carefully. They knew about how these humans were. Some were nice, others were pure evil. They weren't sure about this trainer, and the Wailmer, at least, was going to be a bit more cautious. She splashed back a bit, and when the Elekid came out, she swam deeper into the water. The Totadile, however, jumped and waved happily at the Electric type.
Rushing over, he grabbed and shook the Elekid's hand happily. "Totatotato!" he greeted cheerfully. Stopping the hand shake, he pointed happily to a rock out in the water, not too far out. Running on the spot, he kept pointing. "Tota?" he asked. He was wanting a race with the Elekid. He was a sneaky little guy. He knew he'd be better in the water than the Elekid, so that's why he wanted to race there. Hopefully the Elekid would agree to the race.

Rose smirked a bit when she realized what the Totodile was trying to do. It obviously wanted to get close to the water; where it would be at a bit of an advantage. It was a sneaky little thing; something that was necessary in most battles. He was going to be a great addition to her team. If the Totodile did get to the water, no doubt the Wailmer would come and help him. Rose had complete faith in her Elekid; she knew he would be able to handle both the Pokémon at once, but she wanted to be careful. One needed to be a bit cautious and with her, things usually went wrong. “Raiden, we’re going to be battling. Keep the Totodile away from the water and be alert. The Wailmer might try to attack while your back is turned.” Raiden nodded and turned towards the Totodile, cutting off all chances of escape and smiled grimly. “Now Raiden. Use Thunderbolt!!” Rose called out. --------------------------------------------------------- Thunderbolt has a 10% chance of causing paralysis. The Totodile kept running on the spot, clearly overjoyed. He hadn't raced any new people around here for a long while. Most of the other Pokemon weren't too fond of him, thanks to his hyperness. They often avoided him because of it, not wanting to get tired out so quickly. Luckily for him, however, he met someone knew today. He was so happy. He hadn't raced in forever.
Sadly, it didn't look like he was getting to race today. "TOTO!" he shouted out in surprise when the Elekid cornered him. He looked over to where Wailmer had been, but noticed she was now gone and disappeared. He was all alone now. His eyes widened when he noticed the Elekid getting ready to attack. "TODI!" it cried before narrowly moving out of the way of the attack. Now at the Elekid's side, he opened his large jaws and went to chomp down with a large Bite attack.

The Totodile looked around for a bit, taken aback. It hadn’t expected to be cornered. It dodged the attack however and lunged at Raiden with its jaws wide apart. “Raiden, dodge that attack and hit him with Thunder punch!” Rose called out. It was extremely easy for Raiden to dodge the attack, being very quick on his feet. The Totodile flew past him, with his maw open, his razor sharp teeth intending to bite down on the Elekid, but missing by a narrow margin. Raiden turned on his heel and drew his fist back and brought it forward immediately, his arm sparking with electricity. Rose looked at the battle unfolding in front of her attentively; she expected that the attack would meet its mark because of the proximity. It would not be easy to dodge the attack quickly.
Thunder punch has a 10% chance of paralyzing the opponent. If the die lands on one then the Totodile shall be paralyzed. [dice=10] [rand=553805168485269621056694071739983493221295066188930264562368393]

"Diiiiile" it called out as it lunged forward. He didn't want to fight, but it looked like he had no choice. He had never fought much, except for with his brother Totodiles, but ever since he had been kicked out of his family, he hadn't had a chance to practice much. Such was the life of a hyper-active Totodile. Playing, fighting, getting kicked out of his family...This Totodile had experienced that all.
When he was dodged, the Totodile fell face first into the sand. He struggled to get up, and as soon as he was pushing himself up, he was attacked again. Given it was ThunderPunch, another Electric attack, the Totodile stood no chance. It was hit in the back and cried out in pain. He flopped onto the ground, huffing and puffing, having a hard time even doing that. He wasn't a weakling, it was just the fact the others power was too great.

Rose looked down at the injured Totodile and felt a pang of sympathy. He looked worn out; maybe he hadn’t been in many a battle before. Maybe she was wrong about him; maybe he was a weak thing after all. However, she was determined to make him a strong Feraligator someday. “Good job Raiden.” Rose said shortly, smiling at her Elekid, who was looking at the Totodile with alert eyes, wondering whether he would jump up soon.Rose patted Raiden on his head before walking on the wet sand towards the Totodile. She removed one of the many pokeballs from her pocket and threw it at the Totodile, hoping she would be able to catch it. It should be relatively easy to catch the Totodile in its weakened state. After this, she planned to look for the little Poliwags and Lotad she had seen earlier. There was no reason why she shouldn’t catch more than one Pokemon. She had to make her team stronger after all.

OOC: ARGBLARG >_< I had this MOD post basically done about 2-3 nights ago, then my moms computer decided to crash, reboot and when it came back on, it decided it didn't want to have internet. Every night since then, there's been no internet >( ALSO! Happy Belated Birthday!. Would have had this up on your bday, but...ya >_< BIC: ---
The Totodile knew he wasn't weak. He knew he was good in a fight. But it hadn't been his fault that the trainer had used Super Effective moves against him. If he was against a Fire or Rock or Ground type and was using Water-type movesw, he would have an easy time taking them out too. He wasn't weak, he was just like anyone else; suseptable to Super Effective attacks.
When he was hit by the Pokeball, he knew it was over. He just allowed himself to be captured. He knew if he struggled, he'd just get hit by another Electrical attack. And as soon as he had felt the ball open, he was caught. As the ball closed, out popped a small blue rock as well.
Meanwhile, over at the Poliwag and Lombre spot, the Poliwags seemed to finally be cheering up. This was in no doubt thanks to the work of the Lombre.

CONGRATS! The Totodile has been caught. This male Totodile is friendly but has a Bold nature. His ability is Torrent. Oh, and the Totodile dropped a Water Stone when he was caught. Ain't that awesome?

OOC:THOMAS.WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? DD8 --------------------
Rose picked up the poke ball that had fallen in the soft sand, dusting off the wet grains of sand that stuck fast to it. Her first catch at the Academy; this was great. Rose looked down at the sand at the spot where the Totodile had fallen again. She was sure she had seen something fall when the Totodile was caught. She was right. Something glittered brilliantly in the sand, a blue colored stone which looked like it had been polished until it shone. Rose picked it up and fingered it. It felt rough, cold and had a slippery feel to it at the same time. She looked at it a bit astounded. She had seen evolution stones before, but they were extremely rare. Today was definitely her lucky day. Rose pocketed the stone and then looked across the beach, shading her eyes a bit because of the sun. The trio of pokemon still stood on the a bit away, enjoying themselves completely oblivious about Rose and her Elekid. “Let’s go Raiden. We have a few more Pokemon to catch.” Ray said, walking towards the trio. Her strategy was simple. Attack immediately so that none could escape. She was sure Raiden could take on a few of them at once… she just had to be careful of the Lombre. As an evolved Pokemon it would definitely be stronger.

As you near the three Pokemon, you notice their actions have changed. The Lombre has stopped dancing and now look determined. The Poliwag's also seem more determined and their crying has stopped. Now the group was scurrying around the small patch of sand they were on. The Lombre dug many different holes, scratching his head after each hole. The Poliwags, together, brushed the sand out of the way. They two seemed to be digging. What they all could be looking for was anyone's guess.

Raiden stepped forward, a bit of a skip in his step. The previous battle had been exhilarating. It was the first wild battle he had won, and even though he had fought other trainers before, this one was very different. Battles…they were so incredibly exciting. They weren’t predictable; one could lose or win, as long you weren’t fighting some legendary or pseudo-legendary Pokémon. Why, some could win even at a disadvantage. He stopped short when he saw the three Pokémon that his trainer wanted to catch had stopped their dancing and were concentrating on digging holes. ‘Digging holes?’ Raiden looked up at them, wondering what they could possibly be doing. He looked back at Rose who had stopped behind him too.
“What the hell are they doing?” Rose murmured a bit perplexed, her eyebrows fixed in a frown. ‘Has one of them lost something?’ Rose mused, immediately thinking about the stone in her pocket. Who knows, maybe that crazy totodile had picked it up or something. It wasn’t something she would want to give up. “Elekid Ele?” Raiden asked her his tone soft and pleading. “You want to go help? I don’t see why you have to be a Good Samaritan every time we see someone in trouble-“
“Elekid!” Raiden exclaimed, cutting off his trainer. “Fine.” Rose said indistinctly, a bit annoyed. Rose was a bit intrigued, and besides, helping them was a way to make friends and maybe she could catch them in the process.

The group kept up their work and didn't pay much attention to things in the distance. But that would change when they finally noticed the trainer and the Electric type she owned. Those things were always so troublesome to Water types, except Lombre. Luckily his Grass type made him no longer weak to Electric attacks.
When they finally noticed the trainer and her Pokemon, the Poliwags rushed behind the Lombre, who quickly rushed up to the the Elekid and trainer. He shook his head and pointed to the holes. Points to the side, he was gesturing for them to go around. He then shot a glance to the Elekid and then picked up a rock. "Bre, Lombre lo. Lom re, Lombre bre" it spoke to the Elekid. Having pointed to the rock, he then pointed to the ground, then to the area the trainer and Elekid had just come from, from where the Totodile had been. What the Lombre had said to the Elekid was roughly that the Totodile had taken the Evolutionary stone, and they thought he must have hidden it somewhere here.

The blue duck like creature before the pink haired girl and her Pokémon looked extremely agitated. He kept pointing at the holes he had dug up with the help of the young poliwags that cowered behind him. Rose eyed the group of Pokemon carefully. The Lombre picked up a rock and then began speaking to her Elekid, who listened intently. The Lombre pointed to the direction from where the pair had come from, clucking his tongue and snapping his bill, clearly annoyed. Rose was unable to understand what the Lombre was saying, but she tried her best to comprehend his actions. His limbs were flapping all over the place and he spoke too fast for her to follow, so she finally gave up, resigning to the fact that most of the Pokemon on the beach that day had something wrong with them. ‘First I catch a Totodile that is obviously doped and then I face a crazy duck that doesn’t seem to have any control over his muscles.’ Rose thought, hardly paying attention to what the duck was trying to say.
Rose watched her Elekid, whose body stiffened, the minute the duck finished. Raiden turned around to face his trainer, wondering what his trainer would do in response to the news. He doubted she’d give up the stone without a fight. “Elekid. Elekid kid ele. Elekid.” Raiden said shortly, pointing at the Totodile’s Poke ball and the Rose’s pocket that contained the treasure that they had just picked up moments ago.
Rose’s eyes turned steely almost immediately, finally understanding what the Lombre had been trying to tell them. A shadow was cast over her face when she finally straightened herself up and looked across her Elekid at the chaperone and his two Poliwags. She did not want to give up the stone, but it was below her dignity to take anything that had been stolen. She was definitely cold, and perhaps a bit scheming and proud at times, but she was not going to walk away with the stone in her pocket when she knew it had been stolen. Rose put her hand into her pocket and fingered the rock her fingers brushing along the jagged edges of the blue stone. She finally made up her mind and pulled it out, letting it glint in the sunlight. The stone flashed, the sun’s rays falling on its smooth surface.
She addressed the Lombre, her crimson lips curving into a smile. “Let’s fight for it.”

The Poliwags peeked around the Lombre occassionally. They too wanted to find the evolutionary stone. The three still hadn't decided who was going to get to use is, but since the Lombre protected them, so it was safe to assume the Lombre would eventually use it. But when the girl pulled out the stone, the shy Poliwags changed.
Running toward the girl, both Poliwags jumped up at her. "WAG! POLIPOLIPOLI!" they cried out. They wanted the rock back. They hadn't heard the girls offer, but the Lombre did. He didn't want to battle, he just wanted the rock. But he doubted he had a choice. Frowning, he took in a deep breathe, then fired a Hydro Pump attack at Elekid.

The last thing Rose actually saw was two angry Poliwags running at her in full speed, glaring at her. ‘Whoops. Who knew poliwags could get that aggressive.’ Rose said, pocketing the stone immediately for safe keeping. The two tadpole like creatures jumped onto the pink haired girl and being tackled by two round Pokémon in the stomach caused her to lose her balance and fall backwards. “Get off me.” Rose said, catching hold of the tail of one of the tadpoles while pushing the other off. She sat upright, trying to control the two creatures. Meanwhile, the Lombre, unperturbed by the fact that two of his charges had attacked the girl was trying his best to win back the stone. He sent a jet of water in the Elekid’s direction. “ELEKID!” Raiden called out, taken by surprise and narrowly dodging the attack. He had been extremely preoccupied with the fact that his trainer had been attacked by two baby pokemon. “Don’t worry about me Raiden. Just pay attention to the battle! Hit him with Swift! Then use Shockwave.” Rose called out, holding the two Poliwags tightly. Raiden let loose of a number of star shaped sparks and then sending some electric waves towards the opponent.

The Poliwags hadn't expected that they would knock over the girl, but when they did, their angry mood seemed to lighten up. They then lightly jumped onto the girl and began to jump up and down calling out happily. They hadn't meant to make her fall over, but now that she was down, they were more friendly.
Lombre, however, now had to deal with the Elekid. He absorbed the Shockwave, flinching slightly. His beak-mouth opened afterwards. A steady stream of white-blue bubbles fired out. He had used BubbleBeam and stayed standing firmly on the ground.
