"Dante, where should we go?" Raize asked his quilava. "Qui!" It spoke back. The trainer just assumed what he usually assumed of his fire type. Seeing that Dante would love mostly battling, Raize would usually & almost always assume what Dante wanted to do was battle. He even figured the answer to all of the questions that were thrown at Dante would be answer by three words. A good battle. Raize let out a sigh. The sad fact is that, Raie was always right when he assumed Dante wanted a battle.
"Well, if its a battle you want, its a battle you'll get." He smiled cheerfully at his fire friend. "Quil!" Its flames burst from its back. It was happy and excited. It was happy to have such a simple minded & understanding trainer. It sped up a bit & ran further away from its trainer. "Qui?" It asked aloud, in search of any other trainer.
"Hey wait up!" Raize called out, chasing behind the excited Dante. The fire pokemon had rushed off in search of a trainer & Raize already knew that they'd end up in battle. "At least slow down!" Raize called out to it. The fire type stopped in its tracks, waiting for its trainer to catch up. "Qui." It pouted, not seeing anyone in sight yet. "Its okay, we'll find someone." He assured his fire type with a blissful grin.

Rose stifled a sneeze as she walked by one of the dusty tents of The Abandoned Amusement Park. Rose had been walking aimlessly through the park for an hour now; she had decided to visit it because she was reminded of one of the amusement parks in her hometown. Even in its deserted state, the park bore some reference to its earlier state of grandeur. The carousel she had just passed by was still in good shape, except for the layers of dust that cloaked it. The whole place had a lonely air which resonated with her current mood; she had been feeling extremely pessimistic and lonely as of late.
Rose reached for her Elekd’s poke ball and let him out, in a brilliant flash of red light. Raiden looked at her happily, swinging his arms as usual before beginning his usual chatter. “Ele Elekid?” Raiden asked her, his tone inquisitive. “Not at the moment Raiden. “ Rose replied. Her Elekid always seemed to think that whenever he was let out of his Poke ball it was either to battle or to train. Raiden looked a bit grumpy on hearing her but then his prongs began to vibrate and spark a bit. Raiden turned his head towards the empty path up ahead. “Heard something Raiden?” Rose asked him. Usually when Raiden reacted like that it was in response to some other Pokemon. “Elekid.” Raiden replied, trying to suppress the excitement in his tone. “Well. Lead the way then.” Rose called out, following her Pokemon.
The first thing Rose saw on turning around the corner was the Quilava. Raiden stopped on seeing the fiery little Pokemon. Rose was about to approach it when she saw the blonde haired boy and stopped short. Her blue eyes became a bit more stony than usual; just like they did every time she saw a new person. The alarm let off by Raiden had been a false one unfortunately. She wanted to back away quietly before the boy and his Pokemon were made aware of their presence. Except, Raiden had an idea of his own. It didn’t matter to him that the Quilava wasn’t wild. He always liked a good battle. He approached the Quilava before calling out. “Elekid! Elekid?”

The blonde coordinator looked around. The place hadnt changed since their battle with Speedy. There was still no carnival or anything else. Last time, Rai had hope of it soon returning or reopening. But after wandering around now, the boy had given up on anyone returning to it. He even said it aloud, with Dante agreeing. The two werent annoyed though. They personally couldnt care any less. They just thought that the carnival or amusement park would provide more interest to the island. But they let the thought die instantly.
"Quil." Dante heard some foot steps in the short distance, coming to a halt. "Someone there?" Rai stopped asking his pokemon. "Qui." He ran off, with no further explanation. "Wait up!" He charged after, only to soon stop right behind his pokemon. "Qui." The quilava looked back at Rai. It seemed that the person had gotten away.
"Well, lets keep walking." Rai spoke, strolling past the corner. Dante followed right behind, only to be distracted by a strange voice. "Elekid!" A pokemon had called out to him. "Quil!" Dante jumped, focusing on the incoming electric type. He was perfectly fin with a battle, but because Rai said nothing, he stood firm waiting to be commanded.

“Quil!” The green and yellow firey critter exclaimed, looking back at his blonde haired trainer, waiting for a command. Rose looked up at the trainer too, sizing him up; she hadn’t seen him before, but it wasn’t as if she’d been all around the Academy much either. His blonde hair covered most of his face, partly covering his hazel eyes. He looked a bit scrawny. He was busy looking at his Quilava and hadn’t said anything yet. “Elekid?” Raiden called out, and she turned her attention back to him. The Elekid was looking at his pink haired trainer, waiting for her permission to battle, swinging his striped arms around. He had done his best to look meek and modest, to the extent that he had even tried to make his eyes look wider and soulful. Rose didn’t know whether she should laugh or not. She dismissed the thought from her mind and addressed her Pokemon in low tones, so that the blonde trainer could not hear.“Okay Raiden. If you really want to battle so badly.” Rose shook her head a bit, sighing. Raiden was extremely obedient, unless he was extremely excited. He tended to do stuff on his own in such situations, but would humbly convey his apologies to his trainer later. He respected her greatly, but sometimes he couldn’t help himself. His personality was completely different from his trainer’s. He was more of an extrovert, and he loved company unlike her.
Rose looked up at the trainer again, hesitating a bit. She didn’t like talking to people, especially disliking it if she had to be the one to break the silence. However, the other trainer didn’t look like he was going to speak up either. Rose grumbled a bit about socializing skills before opening her mouth to speak. “Umm…hey there. Raiden here wants to pit himself against your Quilava. Fancy a friendly battle?” , she murmured, scarcely audible. Meanwhile Raiden, extremely enthusiastic about this had gone ahead and had begun to speak to the Quilava in excited tones.

"Sure thing." Raize smiled seeing the girl. Her appearance caught him off guard. He had actually thought that maybe the elekid was wild. Hopefully it could have been caught. But alas, he was wrong. It had a female trainer. She seemed to be very, timid & socially awkward. Buit then again, so was Rai at the moment. He had expected to be alone. So he replied to her question.
Be jumped back a few steps. Dante as well. They were in proper placement now. The two lined for them to do their jobs. Rai to command & Dante to comply full heartedly. The quilava stared at the elekid, letting out a slight growl. The fire type was ready to try its hardest to win. "You can start first." Rai called out to the girl. He didnt want to be rude. Ladies first was a rule that he didnt care for, but since he didnt really know her it'd be good to start off on the right foot.

“Sure thing.” The blonde trainer replied, smiling a bit. Rose nodded back, a bit stonily. The boy backed away with his Quilava, so that there was space for the two Pokémon to battle. He didn’t waste a lotof time chatting and Rose felt a bit thankful. She would have no idea what to say him; she didn’t really socialize. The Quilava growled and in reply, Raiden nodded, his prongs sparking a bit. Raiden moved a bit to the back as well. He intended to win this match, no matter what. “You can start first.” The boy called out. Rose smirked slightly; some people really had no idea what they were in for. If it was her, she would have started first, but no matter. This gave her time to think for a bit before making her move. Most Quilavas tended to turn their back on their opponents in battle, planning to scorch them with the flames that leapt from their backs. They were quite nimble; not extremely fast, but they could easily torch their opponents while dodging an attack.
“Raiden, start off with Screech and follow that with Shock wave. Stay alert.” Rose called out. Raiden let out a earsplitting shriek, which forced Rose to cover her ears. Then, a quick jolt of electricity was let loose in all directions, quickly progressing towards the Quilava.

Raize Wants to Rumble!His Party:
<<-- First Up!
The girl still didnt attempt to make conversation. She just readied for battle. She didnt seem to care for any extra chit chat, like Rai somewhat did. She instead seemed to be ready to just get the brawl over with. Her elekid nodded, its electricity charging. The electric type seemed to be a toughg cookie, despite its evolutionary stage & assumed age.
Her commands, screech then shock wave. Well, screech would lower defense. Shock wave was a special attack that wouldnt miss. The pokemon made a loud, aggrevating, and teeth grinding painfuul ruckus. Dante's defense had been lowered.
The quick jolts of electricity had darted forward at the fire type. It was ready to launch its own attack, but its trainer gave the first attack to the opponent. Dante couldnt dodge this, but maybe counter? "Dante, we cant dodge! So you'll have to do me a solid & hold your own against it!" He called out. "In fact use roll out to distract you & possibly nullify some of the pain." He insisted.
Dante jumped & landed, darting forward with the roll out attack. He rushed straight into the bolts, but felt less pain than he would have just sitting there. His roll out attack continued to charge forward at the elekid, even once the bolts of electricity would disperse.

“Roll out huh?” Rose murmured. The Quilava was definitely strong. Nullifying Shock wave a bit using roll out was definitely a smart move, but it wasn’t going to work with her Elekid. “Raiden, steady.” She called out, waiting for the Quilava to approach her Elekid, who was standing, his body tense, ready to move the minute his trainer instructed him to. If she remembered correctly from her travels, roll out, a move used by a rampant geodude had increased in intensity each time it hit. The Quilava continued to roll towards Raiden with great velocity, almost unstoppable. When he was close enough, Rose called out quickly, “Raiden, dodge and use Thunder Punch. Stay alert.” Raiden did as he was told, the Quilava missing his mark narrowly. The minute the Quilava had passed by him by a hair’s breadth, Raiden swung his electrically charged fist towards the Pokémon with great speed. His fist sparked with electric current and glowed a bright yellow. Due to the proximity and speed, Rose was sure that such an attack could not be dodged, let alone countered.

Tactical Attempt
Damn. A thunder punch was aimed right at quilava. It couldnt be stopped unless Rai tried to pull off what he did against speedy, but that wouldnt work. He'd have to do that only slightly different.
"Dante! What we did against speedy, is what we're gonna do now! When the hit lands, release your roll out & jump into the air!" Rai demanded. Dante became more excited to battle, he'd be able to grow stronger from altering his old strategy into something new. Once the thunder punch landed, Dante's roll out broke.
Luckily the upward punch knocked quilava upward, where he'd release his roll out completely & launch flamethrower. The damage from thunder punch began to take its toll. The quilava felt a sharp pain on its side, but refused to give into it & acknowledge the pain, at least not until the fight was over.

“Yes!” Thunder punch had met it’s mark, and would have worked even better had the Quilava not ended the roll out move. Dante propelled himself into the air when his trainer commanded him to do so and Rose looked at him attentively. By his stance, he looked like he was going to attack from the air. ‘This is not good. We won’t really be able to dodge that properly. ‘ “ Raiden!! Use Light screen immediately! ” Rose called out, narrowing her eyes. If this was going to be a special attack, like she thought it was, Raiden would be protected. Raiden’s prongs began to vibrate when he heard his master’s order and electric sparks travelled from all over his body and then seemed to jump off, joining to form a box of brilliant light around him. He looked up, waiting for the Quilava’s attack patiently, his legs tense.

Tactical Attempt
Seeing Dante's opponent use light screen to weaken the attack, Rai prepared back up solutions. Just before the fire type was ready to launch its attacks the trainer called off the plan, to change the attack they'd use. "Hold on Dante!" Rai stopped the fire pokemon, seeing it gather a small bit of flames in its mouth. "Qui." It stayed in mid air, impatiently waiting the next command. "Put your all into this flamethrower!" Rai encouraged.
Though Rai was going to change the attack, he realized no other move could be fired from the air like flamethrower could. The pokemon spewed red flames at the target, attempting to leave a nice burn. After the attack was launched, the quilava returned to its place on the ground before the trainer.

Rose shook her head, wondering why the boy didn’t change his strategy when he had the chance. Flamethrower being a special attack would be completely reflected by Light screen and would not harm Raiden at all, no matter how much the Quilava put into the attack. The flames fell on the box made out of beams of light and were easily deflected, protecting Raiden from the scorching heat and flames that hit the box. Rose looked at her Pokémon anxiously, hoping that the box would hold; the last move looked extremely intense. However, Raiden seemed to have been unharmed. Dante seemed to have exerted himself in the last move; it was a perfect time to strike. The QUilava landed on the ground, ending the attack. “Now Raiden! Before he can react! Thunder!” Rose instructed, speaking rapidly. Raiden acted quickly. Almost immediately, a massive beam of electricity was fired at Quilava. Being a humungous thunderbolt, Rose was confident that it would be difficult to dodge; It covered a large area and was extremely strong. ------------------------------------------- If Thunder hits the opponent, it shall lead to paralysis if the dice lands on 1. Its Only Logic
"How unfair." Rai pouted, returning attention to the matter at hand. The elekid used light screen to counter the move & used a thunder attack once he landed. Rai didnt want to, but he had a feeling he'd have no other choice. "I guess we have to." Rai muttered. "Use eruption!" He told his quilava. Though thunder could be dodged it wouldnt be easy. So Rai decided to just counter it. "Quilava!" Dante ignited his flames that burst from his mouth & back, canceling out thunder. "Qui." Dante shrugged off, once the attacks canceled out. "Now Flame thrower!" Rai told him. The fire poke shot a stream of red & orange flames.

Rose was a bit taken aback when the boy ordered his Quilava to cancel out the Thunder move with eruption. She had never seen that being done before and yet it seemed to work. Immediately after, the Quilava used flamethrower again sending a number of flames in Raiden’s direction. There was no time to waste. Light screen lasted for a total of five moves. It should be able to withstand another flamethrower, but to be on the safe side, Rose ordered Raiden to use the move again. “Light screen again Raiden. Follow that with Shock wave.” Rose called out. Raiden nodded and reinforced the translucent box around him, making it stronger than before. He then sent out a number of electric waves in the direction of the Quilava. ’It would be best if this battle finishes of quickly.’ Rose thought, planning her next move.

Its Only Logic
"Ugh..." Rai stared at the incoming jolts of lightning. This girl wasnt going to throw a win...Nor was she going to loose without a fight...He'd have to continue to keep thinking on his feet & winging it. "Alright Dante, use flame wheel!" He commanded. He had to remain calm & try his best not to give in so quickly. The quilava jumped and began to transform into a ball of burning heat. It then rushed forward at the elekid, hopefully breaking the annoyance called light screen. Using the flame wheel's barrier of flames it absorbed & dispelled most of the electricity, as it charged through towards the elekid. Hopefully this might end the battle, with a little luck.

Rose frowned. A flame wheel huh? The opposing team was not being co-operative; why couldn’t they just give up already? “Okay Raiden, hold your ground for a bit.” Rose said softly. The Quilava was approaching Raiden pretty fast, his body covered with huge flames. Rose could feel the heat even from the distance between them. ‘Fast…maybe it can’t really turn at that speed…and if it can…’ When Dante got close enough to her Elekid, Rose called out her command, hoping it would work. They needed something strong to cut through those intense flames. In all their previous attacks, the boy had somehow got his Quilava to reduce the intensity of every electrical attack.
Now however, Rose was determined to not give him a chance to do that. “Raiden, into the air! Follow immediately with Electroball!” Rose shouted out, and Raiden leaped into the air, the Quilava narrowly missing. Hopefully the Quilava wouldn’t suddenly change his strategy and even if he did, he would have a mass of electric energy aiming for him. Electroball was an especially useful attack if the target was slower than the user. Sur the Quilava was fast, but Rose had observed that throughout the battle, her Elekid was much faster than the fiery creature. After all, Elekids are naturally very fast and the Quilava was a bit bigger and heavier. Rose turned her attention back to the battle, just as Raiden had let out a massive ball of electrical energy towards the Quilava. The ball was so bright, it was nearly blinding. “Good work Raiden.” Rose murmured, crossing her fingers.

Its Only Logic
Rai noted the girl's expression. She seemed to be trying her hardest to win this battl. He was too though. Dante had become much stronger than it was before evolving. It was determined to win this & so was its trainer. Rai watched intensely trying to find the smallest flaww in her style. Maybe then he could strike that weakness & end this elongated small war. The blond stared with his honey eyes at thhe field his bundle of flame was consttantly being worked around. He refused to let it continue.
"We're not going top back down anytime soon!" Rai exclaimed, Dante mentally agreed. The duo wasnt going to let some 1st stage of evolution pokemon defeat a 2nd stage of evolution pokemon. Logical or not, they'd make their attempt to crush this girl & win this battle.
The elekid jumped into the air, not even touched by the flame wheel. However it managed to launch an electro ball for the ball of flame! "Shift left to right, then right to left!" Rai told the quilava, hopefully he'd dodge it. The quilava maneuvered swiftly from side to side, until barely dodging the electroball & turning itself around to roll at the elekid. Since the pokemon was still air born, Rai would take advantage of this time. "Stop your attack & blast a flame thrower!" Rai commanded the quilava. The pokemon jumped still in ball form, releasing itself from its flame wheel. It followed that with releasing intense flames at the elekid, from point blank range. Hopefully this would end this battle.

“Not again.” Rose murmured, piqued. The boy kept bombarding Raiden with flame throwers and it was getting extremely annoying. “Why can’t he just use something else?” The flames were thrown at the elekid quickly. There was no time for a light screen. Raiden acted on his own this time, knowing that if he waited, there wouldn’t be a chance for the team to win. Raiden let loose of a number of electric bolts, using Discharge. The Discharge partly countered the attack, however Raiden did get a bit injured. He still had some fight left in him though. “Now Raiden! Let’s use swift and Shockwave!” Rose called out. She wanted to end the battle once and all. The two moves could not be dodged easily and it would be good to get a few hits in after the last move that the Quilava had used. Raiden let loose of Shockwave and Swift in quick succession. As the Swift attack flew towards the Pokemon, electric energy pulsated through the ground towards him.

Anyone Else Tired?
This girl was determined to keep going. She managed to get back up & strike once more. Though she didnt tell him/her too, the elekid had countered the attack with discharge. The pokemon had enough common sense to do so on its own. The pokemon had been putting its all into this. The battle and everything. Surely it had to be tired by now. The downside is that, Dante is also tired. He cant do too much more than what he already had done.
Not only were attacks still coming in, but with little time to evade! Not even enough time to use some really elaborate & freakishly long plan to dodge the attack! With these limits & restraints, Rai would truly be tested. So would Dante! He's fought many other pokemon of different types & variety. There was much experience behind his attacks & tactics. He couldnt loose to here and now. His loosing days were pretty close to over. He'd give the next few attacks his all!
The incoming swift attack wouldnt be much of a hassle, but a shock wave following! Now the battle had reached the climax! Dante & Rai could see the tire in their opponents faces. This would have to end now. "Dante, use swift on swift!" Rai called out, Dante spewed multiple stars at the incoming ones. They all clashed & burst into multiple sparkles that glistened, while floating to the ground. "Now use lava plume!" He demanded, having Dante protect himself with a barrier of bursting flames. The shock wave still landed, but its blow was softened greatly.
Dante's flames had all been canceled out, protecting him. With his last bits of energy, Dante and Rai would have to try to end this once and for all. "Dante, hang in there." Rai told his partner. The quilava would weakly plant himself into the ground before launching a new move. "Dante use flamethrower one more time buddy!" Rai encouraged, watching Dante's flames burst forward at the elekid.

"This can't be happening.", Rose said, half impressed by the boy's use of swift to cut through swift so quickly. Rose glanced at Raiden wondering how much more he could take. He was definitely tired, even though he was trying his hardest not to show it by pretending that he was okay. "Let's try and finish this soon Raiden." Rose whispered, just as the blondie went ahead and countered shockwave with a humongous lava plume. The boy then ordered his pokemon to use flame thrower. "What the hell?! LIGHT SCREEN." Rose said yelling out. Raiden set up a light screen, but it wasn't so strong. It held off a part of the flame thrower, but soon gave away, hitting Raiden. "NO!" Rose exclaimed, but Raiden was up on his feet again, panting. "Finish this off again with another thunder attack!" Rose called out. If they couldn't win, she at least wanted a draw.

Anyone Else Tired?
This battl had bean dragged out for far too long. This girl simply refused to lose. This fighting spirit of hers was quite impressive. A base stage pokemon that usually wouldnt be able to stand a few rounds with Dante had lasted quite a bit. The park would soon be flooded with teachers & staff. That meant detention, suspension, and other punishments Rai had no time for. This battle needed to end like the many others he & Dante had won and lost.
"Your battling spirit is remarkable. Your determination is truly a great weapon. But that makes me take you more serious." Rai grinned, shifting it into a blank expression. "I apologize for the inconvienience but you cant win this one miss." Rai's blank expression turn back into a cheery, positive smile. "Dante lets end things." He said firmly, with excitement. "Lava." Dante said firmly, with his remaining energy.
"Dante, Use roll out to dodge the thunder attack!" Rai briefed. Dante jumped & quickly landed, darting off at high speed towards the pokemon, having dodged the thunder completely. "Stop the roll out and turn it into the final flamethrower!" Rai added. Dante would zip right past the opponent, & release himself from the ball & launch a powerful fburst of flames from behind the elekid.
