Erik looked at the building before him. It was enormous! He felt intimidated by it but knew that he had to go in for some sort of exam. Was it a written one? He shivered slightly, even though it was a warm day. He began to walk in to find the doors unlocked. Hesitantly, he opened it and entered.
The arena was huge! He nearly fell on the ground, taking in the view. The images he saw were nothing compared to the size of the arena itself! He almost forgot his manners. He coughed to clear his throat and began to speak.
"I am Erik Ravensrook, I originate from Nuvema Town and I am here to start the exam." He said it as formal as he could but it was difficult for Erik to do that as he was only eleven. He waited for a response.

"Huh. New kid on the block?"
A tall man, wearing a crisp black suit with a white rib cage design etched on it, accompanied with a pair of black fingerless gloves and belt like armbands entered the room. His long silvery hair waved in the air as his contempt filled cerulean eyes looked at the 11 year old student.
"Here's a pokeball. Your fighting this," Tao points at a pokeball in his hand " with that." And then Tao points at the pokeball that he just threw to the kid.
"I'll let you have the first go."

You can use any moves the pokemon can learn by leveling up. No TM/Egg Moves allowed.
Your pokemon is a Cyndaquil
Opponent is a Donphan.

Erik gave a quiet yelp as the man began to speak. He saw him enter into the room. He had to admit, he looked rather cool.
"Y-yes sir." He whispered and sent out the Pokeomn. Cyndaquil, how adorable. It squeaked happily, as if it was happy to be out but that squeal of happiness turned into one of fear as the Donphan came out.
"Don't be afraid. Start with Defense Curl to boost your defense and go with Rollout." Erik started softly at the Cyndaquil, hoping to comfort it. The Cyndaquil nodded quietly and went forward. He curled up to increase his defenses before rolling very quickly to the Donphan. Erik feared that he would lose, he knew that there was a Red Dorm where the worst of the worst were sent. He wondered if he would end up there after this battle.
((I do know that you don't go into Red after your exam but Erik doesn't know that Red is where bad students go, he isn't aware that Black is where he gets sent if he fails. Just clarifying.)

Suddenly, the doors that led from the Laborious were forced open. A tall man in black stood there. He promptly walked to the white haired man and grabbed the Pokeball out of his hand. The Pokemon was returned, and the man in black grabbed the white haired man. "Booty call!" he said quickly as he dragged the other tester out. As they passed the student, he spoke quickly. "Black Dorm, keep that Pokemon, get the fuck out of the testing area."
With that, Yin left with Tao in tow leaving the confused student alone.

Erik was startled as the mystery man dragged his tester out of the area.
"Wait, B-black dorm?! Where is that? I thought I would be sent to the Red Dorm? Now I'm confused!" He cried and ran outside of the laboratory, just running out to who knew where. Meanwhile, his Cyndaquil was trying to catch up to him. It sure didn't like being alone, that was a fact of his new starter. It was fast though, a hint of what could be.
