Sighing, the black-haired, blue/green-eye colored girl stared off into space, relaxing a bit. Usually, she "relaxed" by picking a quiet place to work on her music, but at the moment, she couldn't even concentrate on music composition. Once she returned down to earth, she stared at the piece of music she was currently working on. Instead of being a complex-looking mess of annotations, the paper seemed to be a bit empty.
"Alright, change these to a G#, raise these note a couple more octaves... and... ugh. This composition is getting worse and worse. Perhaps I'm running out of inspiration..." Melody said, as she crumpled up the sheet of music paper, scrapping what little she had done. Rubbing her malachite right eye, the girl yawned softly, crossing her arms. "I need something to help clear my mind... but what?"[/blockquote]

I Dont Like You Already
From the distance, senses of joy could be felt dispersing. Small sounds of clicking, from shoes of course, would echo through out the courtyard. You also would see a feminine figure in the distance. Her hair was layered & long enough to reach past her shoulders. The visible dark blue color tried to hide the underneath layer of hot pink, but failed as both colors were visible.
Coming closer, she appeared near Mel. The girl's heels would make louder clicking noises. She slowed down a bit, seeing some black haired girl sitting around. The girl was writing something, but balled it up & did away with it. Seeing this & being nosy, Claire jumped in. "Of all the things to do at this school, you dare sit here & write? Why are you so lame!" She instantly began to nag and bitch at the innocent girl.

"Nani...?" Melody looked at the girl that had just approached her. Out of focus, and a bit disoriented by the sudden break of her spacing out, Melody stared a bit at Claire with her heterochromatic eyes before answering.
"Um... e-excuse me?" Melody blinked in bewilderment. Was she really lame? Melody couldn't find a reason to think why she could be lame. She knew she wasn't cool or popular... but so far as to be called lame? Such a blunt realization was actually rather disturbing.[/blockquote]

I Dont Like You Already
"Why dont you at least work on that awful appearance f yours!" Claire snapped. She had already come from a terrible evening of meeting her room mate. The girl stared at the innocent girl, glaring into her eyes. "Actually instead of fixing that appearance, fix this existence of yours. If all you do is sit here writing boring stuff, why not just end this miserable piece of shit you call a life & be gone. Your an eyesore." Claire went off, still glaring at the girl. Hopefully she struck a nerve or some feelings.

Melody pet her sole bang defensively. "Work... on my appearance? But... I-" Without a doubt, Melody was left there feeling confused, flabbergasted, and definitely hurt. It wasn't, of course, until Claire added on the following part regarding her existance that made a small tear come out from the sensitive girl's eye. But the thing that confused her the most was the girl's motive. 'We talked about this, me. No crying. Just... be strong. What would Dante do?' Indeed, what her older brother would instead do was probably throw some insults back, perhaps assault the girl with his drumsticks. Yet, Melody didn't have the same instincts. Melody wasn't as good insulting someone else, nor physically assaulting them, despite the fact--of course--that she was being baited. One thing however, did remain. His perpetually calm poker face. Closing her notebook and taking a deep breath, Melody tried her hardest to stay calm, even though internally, she was crying a river. "Doushite? <Why?>" She asked simply, fighting back tears. "What's the point of this, whoever you are? I don't even know you. I..." Melody closed her eyes tightly, a tear couldn't help but sneak out. "What in the world could I have done to you?"[/blockquote]

I Dont Like You Already
The wanna be sweet and oh so innocent victim did not just "What in the world could I have done to you?". Claire would pause for dramatice effect. She turned away from the girl, with her head hung low. This girl actually asked that stupid question. Though she was pretty much the sweet and innocent type of victim, Claire wouldnt think of it like so. "Obviously." Claire started, lifting her head up at the sky. "What you did, not to me, but to all that exists is bore the hell out of everyone. You could do so much more! Running in circles is more interesting than you! Your just a boring simpleton. Get off your ass & live some!" Claire snapped. "You wear glasses. Ew! You sit here writing music. Boring. And you even have the nerve to just act like theres nothing wrong with how inexcusably lame you are!" She finished, still not facing the girl.

Melody thought before she acted, else she would probably have thrown the first punch right about now. She of course knew that she would get in trouble and roughed up. She wasn't exactly the strongest girl on campus, just the exact opposite: she was small and rather frail.
Melody didn't want to retaliate in any way, whether it was by literally attacking first, or anything, but she couldn't focus well, she was ignoring what she knew were her character traits. For once, Melody was fighting back. Throwing back her sheet music and calligraphy pen, the girl took off her glasses and stared down at Claire, fighting back tears.
Until, of course, she realized she couldn't see at all. She just put them back on.
"O-oh yeah?" Melody's voice began a little shaky, but eventually composed herself. "Then explain to me what YOUR deal is! Going around criticizing innocent people... are you so insecure about your own lameness that you have to go around insulting people you don't even know or are you just saying things in hopes that someday you might actually say something intelligent? I can only understand you don't like something as natural as music, after all, what nature did to your face is reason enough to hate it." Melody wasn't proud of the moment, but it would be a lie to say that she would sit there and get berated with insult over insult, even she had a threshold, and Claire had just crossed it. Melody would scold herself when she had the time, but for now, she kept on insulting. "So instead of making others feel horrid, go work on whatever insecurities you might have, it can be either your disgusting fashion sense--this said by a girl with unmatching shoes--your unappealing face, your small breasts, your lack of artistic merit, or even something as simple as your breath. I've smelled Muks nicer than whatever thing died in your mouth." [/blockquote]
