So right now, members can wager their SP's in battle, a system that probably hasn't been used very much and the details not finalsed. I'm not suggesting we remove this, more just.... add to it.
I propose that a set amount of SP are awarded to members per battle, whether they win or lose, and this would be kept track of in it's own thread, threads crossed out as their SP reward are applied.
So, how would this work specfically? Let's get to the numbers buddy.
Say Tyler battles Laz... oh what a laugh that'd be again. The natural result occurs and Tyler is whooped. What happens?
Laz, for his GLORIOUS VICTORY, is awarded 100 SP.
Ty, for his SHAMEFULL DEFEAT, is awarded 50 SP. A tie is also 50 SP each. Doesn't seem very high does it, 50 only being twice the per-post amount, and 100 only x4. But....
Let's say the have a rematch and Laz was stoned off his head, and Tyler had purchased the 2000 SP Amulet Coin, attaching it to the Pokemon he uses.
Tyler's victory now means he earns 200 SP, double normal winnings. Because Laz does NOT have an Amulet Coin, he only recieves the standard 50 for a loss/tie.
So, under this system, battles would award 100 win and 50 loss; but spending SP on an Amulet Coin would in essence double these to 200 win and 100 loss, if you apply the AC to your Pokemon. Doubling is just my assumption, it might only be 1.5x, thus 150 win and 75 loss.
*pulls string on PA-based-toy* "The Banker says: RAGH I'M NOT TRACKING DOWN ALL THOSE THREADS!!!"
Indeed, that'd be very unreasonable! Instead, I propose a thread be crated in the Store itself, in which members have a post detailing their battle threads (ONLY those battle threads created AFTER this system is implemented). Once a minimum of two battle threads have been edited in, they can request it to be applied to their account: once applied, the threads are given a strikethrough label to make sure they can't be sneakily used a second or futher time.
Pro's of system:
- $$$
- Encourages GLORIOUS VICTORY
- Is less confusing than gambling (In my opinion)
- Makes the Amulet Coin a nice investment
Con's of system:
- More Banker Workload (delegated responsibily to another? Heck I'd do I make it sound easy =X)
- Encourages
- Gambling would be considered a bit of a bad investment unless it was in large amounts (like 400 SP +)
- It's a Tyler idea therefore it must be BURNED TO THE GROUND
Yes? No? Maybe? Lobster?
