"Thanks for the food!"
A bright eyed red head shouted over the counter as the chefs from the back gave a hearty smile at the students that were eagerly passing through the dining hall. It was around seven p.m. which meant it was time for Laz to eat his dinner before trudging through another late night course with his pokemon against the harsher weather and fiercer pokemon.
But for now, the red head had only wanted to enjoy the meal; already toying with the thought of skipping tonights regime for some well deserved rest. He wasn't having the usual flashes of red so that was a good thing. When the clerk had quickly brought out several trays of hot and piping food from the kitchen, people were already hollering for theirs.
With a quick hand, the red head had managed to secure his Miso Ramen before any of those grubby hands could touch his food. Outside the dining hall, students usually gave him a wide berth. He never really knew why and just chalked it up to him being seen as a total douche bag. But this was the Dining Hall. Food was food and they would be damned if they didn't get theirs.
Shoving his way through, tray in hand and the meal already stacked on it, the seventeen year old student finally found a good place to eat. A circular table at the very center of the room. Well, nothing wrong with that. At least if anyone needed to find him, it'd be pretty easy. "I wonder if I should let Snake out..."
Laz wondered as he sipped some of the broth on his Ramen. The idea was nice, probably get some bonding done with the hostile Tangela but this was the cafeteria, no need to invite trouble for nothing. All his other pokemon with him were either too large or too intimidating to actually be of any company for this setting. With a shrug of his shoulders, the red head quietly dug into his meal as he watched the flow of students into the dining hall.

With Alacer sitting quietly on his shoulder, wing wrapped around his neck affectionately, Arcen noted how he had actually grown accustomed to her constant presence. In fact, he thought that he might begin to like it. The leathery feeling pressed against his neck made him feel security. Security that seemed very hard to come by in this world. Nodding politely to anybody who bothered to glance at him and waving a bit when he recognized anybody, he wondered vaguely if he would find Rixie at the cafeteria, and then shook his head. Of course not. She hated people. Why would she come to this pulsing magnet of food?
Looking for someone he might recognize, the red shock of hair made his heart skip a beat. Why didn't I think of that? Of course Laz needs to eat too... He had originally planned to come here to do a bit of people scouting. Look for those who would be useful and easily manipulated. But Laz was much more important than that. Forgetting to get food, he slid in beside Laz.
Food... a basic necessity for life and the basis of many relationships. What does a guy do when he takes a girl out on a date? Takes her to dinner. What does a party almost always have? Heaps of free food. The cause of fights over sharing or not sharing? Usually, food. If he had been going to sit next to anybody else, he would have gotten food first. But Laz knew what he was. There was no need to use the ploy of food to be here. The real reason was probably because he didn't want to get mixed up in the messy crowd of people who were grabbing and pushing for food.
He sat wordlessly beside Laz, resting his chin in his hands and his elbows on the table. Alacer turned to Laz, ears twitching as she used echolocation and mouth wide as she drew in the scent of the air over the glands in her mouth. Half a second later, she recognized him, and made a respectful, but happy, clicking noise. She would never see another trainer as she saw Arcen, but nonetheless she had grown to like Laz (after forgiving him for 1HKO'ing her in their first training session).

"You should probably get some food. As obvious as your attempts would be, having some food in your stomach does help think."
Laz said after slurping down another mouthful of the delicacy in front of him. The well cooked Noodles just making his day as they went down his throat along with the delicious broth that the kitchen staff had taken the time to properly prepare for the students. As it was, Laz might order another one just for the hell of getting more noodles to eat. It's not that he needed it but hell, the taste was damn well worth it.
With a small smile, the red head placed the tray forward and leaned down a bit. Stretching and getting some of those kinks out that always seemed to bother him. Letting out a small groan of amusement, the red head massaged his temple a bit as he looked around a bit more. The familiar looks that the students gave him was something he had grown accustomed too. There were always the fearful ones, those he responded in hushed smiles and small waves.
The boastful looks that irritated him, he returned it with a face that pretty much said 'I fucking dare you.' Without much, they already knew it would be futile so said douches just turned their head down in shame as they returned to their bland dinners that they don't even enjoy. Wasteful blokes.
The fangirl ones he totally ignored. For some reason, this seemed to garner more attention. Fan Girls, they aren't girls nor are they human. Laz had to be wary of them actually getting close. Some of the others gave him a neutral expression at least and respectfully waved and gave him a simple nod to acknowledge. These were the ones Laz didn't mind since it was easy to give them the same treatment that they gave him.
With a huff, the red head just gave everyone that glare he usually gives to get them to lay off his back. He had a few glances along the left noting that there were some others who wanted to sit next to him, probably to mooch off some stuff but were too pissed to see Arcen just dandily walking by and sitting there like he was actually Laz's friend. With that thought, Arcen was, in a way, Laz's friend. So long as the bastard didn't try to manipulate him, no bones would need to break tonight.

Amalia spoke with a smile and a small bow towards the lady who gave her her meal as she walked with her Cranidos, King to find a place to sit. Amalia's heart was pounding with nervousness. This was her first night here and she was found that her hands that held her tray was shaking slightly. King looked up at his new mistress and let out a gentle cry of reassurance, rubbing his giant head against the back of her hand to let her know that it will be okay. Ceasing her trembling, she smiled down at her Cranidos. "Thank you, King." she spoke, then walked forward. Seeing the two boys at one of the tables, she took a deep breath and walked towards them. "Um, excuse me... May I sit with you?" she asked, nervous as she waited for an answer.

Her outfit, a T-shirt, a decently sized skirt and some shoes kept her more or less anonymous among the rows of girls that were wearing almost the same or something similar. What might make her stand out of the crowd however, were the two items, one around her neck, the other around her waist, both these items were black. The belt, which had gotten a small bag attached to it so to easier carry pokeball's had been handed to her right after her failing the test, same with the choker.
Aipom were walking besides her. He had been healed by this point, and she thought it would be good for him to be out of his ball for a little bit. She owed him that much, didn't she? After the horrible defeat she gave him. Aipom's head were almost spinning around as it tried to look at everyone that walked past and stood in the same line as them while Yumiko waited for it to be her turn to pick food. However when her turn came everything were pretty much gone, there was only a small bit of Ramen left, and knowing crowd tendencies it were probably the worst part, but she took it without complaining.
She then went to find a seat. She found one not too far away from a little peculiar group, one read head seemed to be the dominant one of the group however she granted him no more than a single thought. A another girl had made her way over to the boys group and asked if she could have a seat there. There had yet to be given an answer, because she were still standing up.
Yumiko began to eat it wasn't bad Ramen, it was just, eh, bland, an unfortunate however very common thing that happens when you make large amounts of the same food. Aipom quickly noticed this and went into the usual cheeky-mode looking around for a good target to steal some food for Yumiko, from. It decided on the girl who was still standing up.
Aipom quickly made its way over to her, making sure he was kept hidden behind her. Then quickly stood up on its tail and patted her on the right side before quickly moved from the left and attempting to steal the woman's food, while trying not to get caught or spotted by the Pokemon by the woman's side.

"Stop it."
Laz glared at the in coming Aipom that had already made its intention known the moment it eyed the girls plate from its position. Sure, there was a healthy looking Cranidos right beside the girl but Laz had doubted it actually noticing the Aipom was already getting close. A burst of light had erupted just from behind Laz as a malice like cloud of smoke began to materialize from thin air.
With a sudden burst, a dark purple colored Gengar had emerged, the deathly look in its eyes sending a shiver through many of the random students spines as some of them had outright started to leave. The trampling of foot soon died down though as Laz's Gengar had pretty much garnered everyones attention in the dining hall.
Kostya had zipped through the table, his ghostly form phasing through the furniture and pretty much stood in front of the Aipom and blocked its path from the whole act of theft it was going to do. With a half hearted glare, the Gengar had flared up its power. Intuition or Instinct should have at least dictated that it would be best to leave. Now.
If that wasn't enough, Kostya had even began to coalesce a black slimy ball in his hands, the Shadow Ball a threatening warning to everyone in the cafeteria that it was time to leave. Leave if they didn't want to take part in a new students death sentence. When no one stood up to leave, Laz rose from his seat.
The moment he reached full height, the students were already leaving their plates where ever and rushing like hell out of the doors. No one dared to scream as all of them just shut the hell up and hurried outside the doors. The double doors acting as a path were being unceremoniously clanged over and over as the students acted like there was an actual drill for when this kind of things happen.
Once the coast was clear, Laz eyes were still rather narrowed as he moved from his seat. Walking towards the girl who had more or less owned the Aipom, Laz kept his steady gait. A posture that signified his intent, where a path of destruction would only compliment it. They were so close, Laz and the new girl. Pulling something out of his back pocket, what could have been a deadly weapon or something far more sinister no one knew.
The moment that Laz passed the girl, he pulled out his wallet and stood next to the cashier with his usual smile. "One melon bread please." Was his sentence. Laz turned around to make sure that only Arcen and the two new girls were the ones left before breaking out into a laughing fit.
"Oh man...That was rich. I still can't believe they fell for it."
Laz laughed genuinely as the lunch lady gave him his packet and she too laughed whole heartedly in the display. Surely enough, this wasn't the first time it happened. "I have to thank you and sorry for using you and your Aipom as props. I'm still hungry and I was just too lazy to wait for the line to finish."
Laz said, a smaller smile this time as Kostya grumbled and floated towards him, letting go of the Shadow Ball in his hands as it dissipated into the air. A small reward for his help, Laz tore off half of the melon bread and tossed it to Kostya who had immediately gobbled it up and took his pokeball from Laz's belt. Still grumbling, the Gengar floated up high before returning itself.
Putting his hand forward, the red head caught the pokeball and belted it once more. "Since I've never seen you and you, I'm guessing that you two are new to the academy." Laz gave out his thoughts as he bit into his very, very delicious bread. "I'm Laz, and welcome to Pokemon Academy. With that done, is it alright for me to know your names?"

Alacer shivered as the Shadow Ball's energy pulsed through the room, and Arcen turned to glance at her with concern in his eyes. Nonetheless, after a moment she returned to normal, and he proceeded to watch with awe as Laz terrified basically the entire cafeteria. Arcen raised one eyebrow at the show, and let a grin show through. He was a little disappointed when Laz merely laughed, but nonetheless, it was quite impressive. He figured that perhaps now would be a good time to fetch food.
As he stood, however, Alacer shuddered more violently than before. He turned his head to look at her and murmured, "Alacer...? Are you okay?" She clicked abruptly and took off into the air. As she did so, she began to glow a brilliant white light. Arcen drew in a breath abruptly. He'd never seen a pokemon evolve in person, let alone his own pokemon. He settled back into his chair, stretching and putting his hands behind his head, with a grin of satisfaction on his face. Alacer landed before him, blinking furiously as she got accustomed to the sudden pouring-in of light. Unable to stop himself, he stood up and ran his fingers over her new fangs, smiling, "Afraid it seems you won't be able to sit on my shoulder anymore."

It stood defiantly caught in it's track as the human, who was not his trainer ordered him to stop. HIM! Of all the Aipom's in the world he was the one being ordered around. No way, man, Aipom only took orders from one person. However soon a Gengar was released by the man. This sent shivers down Aipom's spine, but he feared nothing or anyone. He kept telling himself that.
However the Gengar started to materialize and attack. Aipom didn't recognize the attack but the sheer looks of it told him it was deadly. It was about this time that Yumiko realized what was going on. "No, Aipom don't!" Yumiko said before she knew it she had gotten up from the table and went to forcefully grab Aipom into a hug, protectively making sure it wouldn't get hurt unless the Gengar really wanted to fire that Shadow ball, in which case she would certainly get hurt too... Aipom tried to resist her hugging trap. It wanted out, it wanted to fight, to prove it was as strong as it believed itself to be.
Everyone started to leave. The Cafeteria were emptied faster than she'd have imagined possible. Yet she didn't care, the threat of a Gengar firing a seemingly pretty powerful shadow ball still quite imminent. The trainer of the Gengar got up, went over to her and seemingly were about to draw something from his pocket, it could be anything, hell it could be another pokeball containing yet another deadly specimen. However after he passed her, he pulled out a wallet and bought some more food.
It was then that the man started laughing. Yumiko sighed a little bit as she released the Aipom, knowing that danger were far gone by now. The Owner of the Gengar apologized for using them as props, however it had been them that had gotten themselves into the situation to begin with, so there was nothing to apologize for. "Eh, uh, no problem." Yumiko replied still rather baffled by the fact the Gengar hadn't been serious. It had looked quite serious. Laz then went onto stating that he hadn't seen them around and therefore they must be been new students. She nodded as a reply because that was true.
He then asked in a rather peculiar way for her name. "Sure, eh. My name is Yumiko Tokugawa" She replied politely saying her entire name simply out of courtesy. And then her attention was diverted by a strange bright light coming from a Pokemon owned by one of the few still in the room. Her mouth wide open as she saw the Pokemon evolve!
"Woah, that was amazing!" Yumiko almost exclaimed after the Pokemon had finished its' evolution. Aipom just crossed his arms and looked offended as he said. "Pom!" Which without a doubt sounded like he was saying 'I could do that if i wanted' yes, he was most certainly jealous.

Noticing the Shadow Ball being formed by the Gengar, King cried in surprise, gently moving Amalia out of the way. Blinking in confusion, Amalia turned to see the Shadow Ball and yelped in surprise, pulling King close with one arm and the other trying to balance her tray so her food didn't fall to the ground. Once the chaos was over, the girl sighed in relief then turned to the red head boy, who was laughing his butt off. Quirking an eyebrow upward, she laughed nervously, causing her Cranidos to look up at her with curiosity. When she was asked her name, she smiled at him. "I'm Amalia... Amalia Rae. Pleased to meet you." she said politely with a small bow, then stood straight to look at her partner. "And this is King, my Cranidos." she spoke, smiling more as King let out a cry in greeting.

Arcen smirked at the girls' reactions to Laz. Gotta admit. They're pretty dumb. I guess I'll never understand the whole attraction to other people thing. They're just so... dumb! Except for Laz. He's... he glanced at the red-haired boy different.
Nonetheless, when the girl who introduced herself as Yumiko mentioned how amazing Alacer's evolution was, he couldn't help but grin at her, replying smoothly, "Well, I do tend to find amazing things to surround myself with." He found himself examining the Aipom and the Cranidos, using them to gauge the new students' power. Neither appeared to be particularly strong or ambitious but that could change, and he had to be ready for it if it did. Better to befriend them now just in case they proved to be... useful.
Arcen felt a twitch in the back of his mind, warning not to get too cocky with Laz still around. Laz was a god of some sorts, but Arcen was still painfully aware of the awe-striking power that came with being a god.

"Wipe that self serving grin, Arcen."
Laz chided with a laugh as he tore into another bite of his overly delicious delicacy. Having a tendency to bite a huge one, Laz had to reel himself in a bit just to at least let the food last a little while longer. No need to actually devour your entire food supply in one sitting if you don't have to. Resources are often and heavily limited after all. Chewing the scrumptious melon bread and enjoying the explosion of flavor, Laz had to make a small smile curve on his lips as he started to walk back to the center of the room. By center, he of course meant the table on which he used to sit on before he had to go stand up for the very reasonably excuse of wanting to eat his favorite snack during dinner time. Was that so wrong?
Pacing his foot steps, Laz had to at least flash a charming albeit not really obvious fake smile at the new people. He didn't need to actually show them how far he was willing to take the whole act of evil and darkness with him so at the very least he had to look like a person who they could at least hang out with. Though, whenever Laz smiled, he usually forgets to control the dosage of how sincere and insincere his smiles are since they really affect the amount of appeal his action can cause. Hopefully the amount of charm that was in that smile wasn't one that would make people puke.
With a shrug of his shoulders after that, Laz once more bit into his snack before giving a simple wave towards his fellow red head who's name oddly reminded him of animals. I mean 'Amalia' did start with an A and that the whole science stuff about the Kingdom of Animalia did bring it to snuff when it came to remembering things. Well, that's one way to at least try and remember the new students name. She was also at least courteous enough to introduce her well-bred looking Cranidos. Rightfully so, the girl had a good idea on naming him King seeing as that wreathe of spikes that adorned his head. Then again, it could just be another one of those Butthead copies which had irritated him to no end when the time presented itself.
Turning his head to the blonde girl, whose green eyes oddly reminded him eastern bamboo. The correlation between the green-ness of her eyes and the eastern bamboo that had the same shade of green had somehow fell upon Tofu. Laz didn't really understand how his brain registered information in such a way but still, Tokugawa Yumi would be something of a memorable name had he not been eating something that was taking his focus away from food given he was eating food that could be counted as one of his favorites along with Poptarts.
Regardless, Laz went up to the table and leaned on it. Not entirely bothering on sitting down on the chair when he noticed a bright light washing over a certain part of the room. Well, the light did seem familiar and he's honestly seen it a dozen of times thanks to his own pokemon and the amount of training he's put into them. As the ever awe inspiring light had finally dimmed down, where it was once a child-like Zubat who's experience could be often misguided, was now a more mature Golbat whose wings could create gusts to buffet its enemies and the vocal chords which can disorient its enemies.
Not one to hold back a snide comment for people who'd need it should they cross a line in his book, Laz plucked out a poke-ball which mostly acted more as something for aesthetics to help him get a point across to his supposed friend. "Took you long enough, Arcen. Get Alacer to become a Crobat soon and the sooner we can start training with actual battle."
Laz reminded as he spun the poke ball on his finger before flipping it high into the air. Fixing his black choker, the red head let his hand stretch out and catch the pokeball side ways before once more belting it on his silver colored belt. With that done, Laz took this chance to at least include the others into the conversation.
"Those are good names...Amalia and Yumi. Just to satiate my curiosity, have you two made plans for any trips on the island? My friend and I would be more than happy to help the new students out."
Laz detailed, giving Arcen a quick look that pretty much accounted for his reasoning behind inviting them to a capturing spree. He knew his whole 'student' thing with him was a temporary one and that he'd need to at least get a few people to trust along the way. Not that Laz was being a manipulative bastard but hey, he wouldn't mind going on a few trips here and there for the new students. It'd be nice to get to know who the new people are too, at least.
"So yeah, I'm pretty sure between Arcen and I, we've got access through out the entire Island."
Laz added an incentive for them, not really bluffing since he's been to every popular area on the island and even some of the low key ones so it won't that much of a stretch to say he's been in a lot of trips around the place.

That was rather cool, Yumiko had to admit that. Aipom however were unimpressed by Laz's attempted awesomeness.
But Yumiko did not notice because soon after the red-headed boy went back to commenting on their names. He said they were good names. Sure it wasn't a direct compliment, but Yumiko couldn't help but feel the heat increase in her cheeks, luckily for her she was only blushing slightly, barely noticeable. Laz then asked if the two new students, Yumiko and that other person, had made any plans for any trips. Yumiko shook her head and said. "Not yet." She was fully intending to take loads of trips to check out every rock in the area, but right now, none. Laz offered that he and his 'friend' helped them out if they thought it necessary. "Thank you, for the offer." She said thanking him gratefully for his offer of helping them.
Yumiko then fell into silence. She didn't know what to say, what topics they should speak about, or anything like that. She hoped the other new-student would have something interesting to say, something that could possibly start a conversation.
Aipom, realizing that the conversation was reaching a stalemate decided he was going to have some fun of his own. And what better way to have fun than to annoy and or play with a Cranidos. It moved over to Cranidos and said. "Ai Aipom, AI AI POM!" Which could pretty much be translated into wanna play tag? However before Cranidos could answer, the Aipom poked him right on the Cranidos's head with his hand-tail and then ran off.

Arcen glanced at his friend/mentor. Stop grinning? Easy. He went back to his normal, nearly-void-of-expression face. Cool and collected, but above all, calm. Still, he continued to run his fingers over Alacer's new, now larger, fangs as he settled back into his chair. Upon hearing Laz's remark to take the new students out on an expedition, he felt a twinge of surprise. Alacer, who apparently did not hide her emotions as well as he did, twitched her ears, mirroring Arcen's emotions. Was Laz trying to get rid of him...? Or was he starting to think like him: befriend people before they're strong so that when they are, they'll probably owe something to you?
Arcen nodded and smiled in a friendly way, letting his face break out of its calm expressionlessness, "We could even go tomorrow morning." Something inside of him twitched as he started to consider the potential places to explore. Not the volcano again... For once, he felt no lure towards the place. Perhaps it had something to do with the Charizard who had become instantly infatuated with him. Though he would have liked to capture it, he didn't really want to have to worry about the giant fire-breather attempting to incur his affection.
Croyance appeared in a sudden flash of light, drawn to Arcen's thoughts like a vulnerable moth irresistably drawn to the lure of the bright, flickering flames. And, like a moth, it would have no idea what horrors awaited in Arcen's mind until it was already trapped in the burning fire. The small psychic type eagerly levitated close to Arcen, soaking in his thoughts and actions.
Arcen himself was rather busy thinking, and barely took notice of his Baltoy's letting itself out of its pokeball. He continued on, No... The volcano will not do... He wanted more dark pokemon, but Tao's Mansion was probably not the best place for new students to start off. Then again he'd always liked the cold... an ice type might be nice... Alacer flicked her wing over his face to get his attention, and he flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and anger at himself for getting lost in his thoughts while others were around. Besides, Laz would probably come up with some sort of reasoning for them not to go to the Ice Caves... or just some sort of reasoning for them not to listen to Arcen at least.

"Sweet. We can probably schedule it somewhere. Though I don't recommend the Ice Caves."
Laz said, a smile on his face but a grim undertone to that last statement. There were still a few things that were trying to haunt him there and even though they weren't too much trouble, it still irritated Laz that he couldn't train in peace. And the more he entered the place, the more wild pokemon that kept bothering him, which more or less meant that he had to take them down more often, which meant they'd only be pissed at him more. It was a vicious never-ending cycle and Laz wasn't that keen into actually eradicating the entire Ice Cave area.
"The pokemon there are pretty hostile whenever I'm around so with your current teams, I wouldn't recommend it."
And maybe the hidden fact that he burned down a huge portion of the insides and caused a massive flooding could be a reason from not wanting to be there. Well, it didn't really matter since Laz already thought of another idea. Mulling it over though, and already arranging the line up of pokemon that he'd bring into the fold for the supposed trip, Laz then gave the suggestion to where they could go next.
"We can try the Gravity Caves. A-Block only though, since you two are new. If you think you can handle it we can try going deeper."
Laz started, thinking about little incident that happened some time back that concerned him being trapped inside a cave. Sure, he was surrounded by females but there was a more pressing issue there and as such, he had to act appropriately. That was still a great experience though, even if they had met a Wild Aggron and a Metagross of all things there. Scary enough but that was a long time ago. Laz was positive that he'd be able to take them on now, even if it meant having to use all of his pokemon.
"There's a variety of types there and I've got enough pokemon to provide coverage for our entire team. Last time I checked Arcen, you went with us also, right? Maybe another trip to pick up an Electric pokemon might help."
Laz completed as he finished his delicacy, savoring the dredges of the little Melon Bread before disposing the plastic wrapper that kept his hands free from the gooey goodness.
"So, if there's any other suggestions, it'd be nice to say them now. Planning ahead and all."

They were planning a trip, the ice cave obviously contained ice Pokemons were soundly said no to by Laz, Yumiko didn't have the proper attire for such a place anyways. She hadn't exactly been prepared for polar expeditions.
Now, Gravity cave, a place for electric Pokemon to gather sounded like a better idea, and to be fair she really wanted a Joltik of her own, just like her mother; whose Joltik however were fully evolved and a fairly capable fighter. "Sounds like a good place to go then." Yumiko said as the talk were focused on the Gravity cave's A-block. "By the way, would you know if there is any Joltiks' in that area?" She asked looking at Laz, hoping he would have the answer.
Meanwhile Aipom were growing bored with the taunting/playing with Cranidos. However he found another form of entertainment enter the field. A Baltoy had summoned itself from the Void-faced boy's team. How excited, Aipom wanted to play games with that Baltoy too. "Ai, Aipommm AII!" Aipom said to the Cranidos, simply telling the rock Pokemon that he was going to go play with the Baltoy and if it so wished could come. Aipom then made its way over to the Baltoy and poked it with his little purple arm. "Aipom!" He said, which simply meant hello.

Arcen felt a strange twitch force its way into his mind. A mixture of amusement, disappointment, and fascination. Laz had demons of his own? What kind of demons could possibly lurk in those Ice Caves... Every action is a reaction to what happened previously. And every action has a corresponding reaction. If he did something in the Ice Caves to incur the locals' wrath... there must have been a reason. Arcen put it in the back of his mind and resolved to consider it more later.
He winced at the mention of the Gravity Caves. Just as Laz had his demons in the Ice Caves, Arcen did not particularly enjoy the thought of returning to the place where he had nearly been crushed to death by a random partial cave in. Still, he said, "The Gravity Caves would be... okay. As long as we don't get seperated. There might be some Joltiks but it'll take a lot of careful searching and some good luck to find one." After a long pause, he added, "Or we could go to the Stagnant Swamp. There's a lot of poison and water types there."
Croyance jumped as the Aipom began to advace towards it, and flew backwards to avoid its touch. It glared at the wily pokemon, its eyes slanting down to show that it did not want to be touched. With a cool tone, it said, "Please don't touch me. I have to stay... clean. If you wish to speak with me, you may do so without defiling my body with your... paws." Croyance struggled as it attempted to keep its feelings under check so as not to offend the Aipom.

Yumiko really wanted a Joltik, they were all cute and cuddly. However if one were to believe Arcen's words then it sounded like they were quite rare, at least in the Gravity cave. However it would certainly not be impossible to find one, right? Yumiko simply had to be determined enough to get one. But then Arcen mentioned the swamp. A water or poison type wouldn't be unfavorable either. God, decisions! Yumiko couldn't decide. "Which place would be easiest to access?" She asked looking at Arcen who was the one that had mentioned the swamp. She hoped he had prior experience with the swamp, otherwise she'd feel a lot more uncertain about going to that swamp.
Meanwhile Aipom was bothering the Baltoy. "Why do you have to stay clean? Won't you just get more dirty if you stay clean?" Aipom asked in it's Poke-language. "By the way, I am totally clean!" It said with a jester like smile upon his face as he once more tried to touch the Baltoy's body to show just how clean he was.

The conversation already drawn in a neat sketch on Arcen's mind, he comfortably began to paint in the details, convincing her that they should go to the Swamps first. After all, the Gravity Cave did seem to have those random, extremely painful cave-ins that he'd experienced last time. It would be safer for them all to go to the Swamps first.
But before he could open his mouth to start speaking, Arcen felt a twinge of discomfort nagging at the back of his mind. It wasn't the half-truths that he was about to tell the new student that was making him uneasy. It was the fact that Laz could probably see through them. Locking his jaw, he decided to go with the full truth. Just this once... he told himself. "Well, it's somewhat difficult to access the Gravity Cave without some electric pokemon to negate the crushing magnetic force. If Laz is going to come then we'll only have to worry about cave-ins. The Swamps would be easy to get in and out of; just wear pants you don't mind getting muddy."
Croyance calmly gazed down at the Aipom as it rambled nonsense. But when it reached forward once again to touch him, he levitated several yards higher into the air, moving closer towards Arcen. "I will ask you once more to refrain from seeking physical contact with me. I will not contract the impurities you carry in yourself."

"Well, looks like we're set."
Laz said, a small clap to his hands to signify that the meeting had been adjourned and they had finally found a worth while place to explore. Laz doubted he'd need anything new by the Swamp though, just to make sure, he'll ask Arcen to catch him a few if something catches his eye as a sort of payment for helping him out. He might be teaching him a few tricks, but those tricks aren't free. Or maybe a TM, he might need a new one for his could be evolving pokemon.
Looking at the two of them, Laz just gave a small chuckle, wondering what the world was coming too when Arcen actually looked like he was telling the exact truth this time around. He'd have to take note of how he locks his jaw whenever he has to force something out. Lying might be natural at times, but if it's too natural, it becomes something of a liability. Either way, Laz would be looking forward to another adventure time by the swamp. He'd have to remind Kostya to remind him to remind each other that he'd probably need a few more Steel Types to bring.
"Anyway, just find me by the Mountains or the Silver Dorms if you need me to accompany you. Got some stuff to do since the weather cleared. Later."
