Today was the day Amalia was hopefully going to get enrolled into Pokemon Academy. Her heart was pounding like mad, and her mind was racing with so many questions that remained to be answered. Breathing in slowly, the red head exhaled just as slowly, trying to calm her heart rate. Stepping into the large building, she looked from right to left, her eyes darting the area. It was enormous, she thought. Walking into the main office, she looked around once again, taking a seat on a chair to her right. Taking several deep breaths, the girl looked ahead, wondering if anyone was around. "Hello?" she called out, hoping to get response.[/style] | [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width:103px; padding: 0px; ][style=background-color: f0f0f0; padding: 2px;][/style] |

"Well, hello there." Lisa walked in with a pink japanese kimono. It was one solid color, seeing as how it had nothing special & was meant to be worn when doing petty tasks. The woman had on sandal wedges, similar to the nurse's. With Lisa came Claire, the delcatty. "Meow." It cried impatiently, standing next to to her trainer. "Im here to give you your dorm test, do your best okay?" She rushed into the battling. "Oh! My name is Lisa, the music teacher." She added on, only to point at the silver table a few feet away from the trainer.
"Choose one poeball to use as your test pokemon. After the battle, you will be given a form rank and your starter choices." She smiled with a light giggle. On the silver, shiny table would rest 3 pokeballs.

She was pretty, she thought. Seeing her Delcatty, she smiled then blinked in surprise once again to find that she was being challenged to a battle. So she had to prove herself in order to get enrolled into the school? A determined smile creased the girl's lips, nodding in response. "Of course!" she spoke as she looked to the three Pokeballs that contained a Pokemon in each one. Each of them had a description of the Pokemon inside, and with a grin, she picked up the third Pokeball. Throwing it up into the air, it released the ancient flying Pokemon, Archen. It let out a small cry as it flapped its wings to try and lift itself into the air, but to no avail.
Blinking, Amalia realized that it was still a fledgling, unable to fly just yet. Smiling, she understood and looked to the card that contained its information and attack moves. Amalia had never battled before, and felt slightly flustered. She looked towards the woman's Delcatty, noticing that it was a Normal type. Glancing at the card once more, she smiled nervously and looked to the Archen, who was awaiting patiently for her command.
"Okay, Archen! Try using Ancient Power!" she commanded. With a nod, the fossil bird Pokemon closed its eyes, focusing all of its energy into the attack. Soon, several small boulders appeared around the bird, then when it snapped its eyes open, the boulders flew towards the Delcatty, hoping to land a direct hit. "Wait a minute!" Lisa broke her graceful smile, making gestures not to attack the delcatty. Claire jumped to her feet, standing firm. "Your not supposed to attack Claire, she's just watching!" Lisa added on, as Claire shook her head. "Even as a teacher, you still cant remain calm." Claire thought , waving her tail back and forth. "Claire, move or something." She said with a slightly nervous tone. The cat stood anyway, ignoring Lisa's babbling. "Meow." He tail stiffened into the air. The pokemon opened her mouth & fired a blast of water at the incoming rocks. One by one they were each shot down by a water gun.
"... I forgot you could use assist..." Lisa had calmed down, remembering her partner's abilities. "Im so used to singing." She added, with a disdainful smile. "Well, good job Claire. Now, if you dont mind, make way for the real opponent." She said, tossing a ball into the air. Shooting forward was a nidorina. "Nido." It sat on its ass, doing nothing.
"You werent supposed to attack Claire, but its okay. At least shes fine & can take care of herself, with or without me. Now Miss Nidorina, lets give her a nice battle, shall we?" She asked with a soft tone of voice. The pokemon nodded & responded. "Nido." With a graceful bow. "Well, lets start things by using poison sting!" Lisa called out. The poison type stood firm, and fired a blast of purple, glowing pins towards the archen.

She then sighed in relief as the Delcatty managed to avoid the boulders heading her way. With a bow, the girl let out an apology, laughing nervously. Way to make a first impression, girl... she thought, her heart aching with shame at what she done. But at least she learned from it, right?
Turning to the Archen, she smiled a bit nervously in which earned her a smile in return. She then noticed her real opponent, the Nidorina. Growing wide eyed at the sight of the poison needles aiming towards the Archen, she bit her lower lip. "Archen! Try and dodge them!" she commanded. The fossil bird managed to hop away from the Poison Sting attack. However, one of the needles grazed its wing, causing slight damage but luckily, it wasn't poisoned. Sighing in relief, Amalia grinned. "Good work! Use Dragon Breath!" she commanded, her heart pounding with excitement.
Nodding, the Archen inhaled deeply, beak wide open as it soon unleashed a powerful beam mixed with the colors of red and blue, aiming towards the Nidorina. [/style] | [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width:103px; padding: 0px; ][style=background-color: f0f0f0; padding: 2px;][/style] |

"Nidorina." Lisa said. The light blue creature jumped up. It had straightened its posture, increasing its focus. The pokemon seemed a bit out of it. "Nido..." It said, blinking slowly. "Nido." It shook its head, hearing the opponent give commands. "Alright, take the hit, then another poison sting!" Lisa called out.
The test partner would nod & get ready. As the blast of raging flames came in, she began to stiffen her legs, leaning in a bit. The breath attack hit dead on! It would push her back a few inches, though she remained standing on all fours. "Nido." The pokemon reminded itself, opening wide. "Fire!" The music teacher said with excitement, having the pokemon launch multiple poisoned pins aim for the archen once more.
If I land on 1-3, your poisoned if hit. [dice=10]

Seeing that the teacher commanded the Pokemon to use Poison Sting once more, she glared with determination. "Archen! Use Quick Attack and try to dodge the pins!" she shouted. Her heart was racing again, she noticed. She didn't know if she was going to win or lose this match. But she had to try.
With a nod, the fossil bird charged forward with incredible speed, dodging the pins with ease. It neared the Nidorina, and lunged forward in the hopes of landing a hit. [/style] | [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width:103px; padding: 0px; ][style=background-color: f0f0f0; padding: 2px;][/style] |

This was getting bad. The girl was actually catching up to the teacher. Though battling wasnt her strong subject, like singing, dancing, and performing, it was something she knew how to do as a trainer. "Nidorina, activate your poison point!" Lisa called out. The nidorina would glow a light purple aura, as the quick attacked pushed her back some. The opposing pokemon was sure to be poisoned by this! Whether poisoned or not, the teacher would continue her battle.
"Lets try a nice & lovely Round!" Lisa called out. The nidorina would then begin to clear her throat. Due to the lack of diversity in range, Lisa had used taught the pokemon round just in case she had no far ranged moves, like now. The nidorina would then release a low note, whose sound waves would travel towards the archen, hopefully dealing a small speck of damage, despite the typing.

Amalia bit her thumb lightly in frustration, fearing that if she lost this match, she wouldn't be enrolled. But she left Cinnabar Island for a reason; to be taught the skills on how to be a good Trainer. She had to try!
"Archen! Use Crunch attack!" she commanded, earning a nod in response. The Archen was hit by the Round attack, but easily shook it off as if it was nothing. Dashing towards the Nidorina, it opened its beak to perform the Crunch attack. The poison had landed and such! The bird dwould be in pain, though small doses. But after a turn or two, the pain was sure to increase from pinch like to life threatening. "Nido?" The pokemon questioned the trainer going forward with an attack after being poisoned. "She's doing good." Lisa muttered, though she also thought the girl would instantly crumble from a status being induced.
"Nidorina, take the hit once again!" Lisa told the poison type. The swooping in bird would seem to be in light pain, compared to the poison type. Nidorina wasnt too badly hurt either, just maybe a bit tired of the way the opponent continued with attacking. The nidorina would plant itself in place, calling its name. "Alright, I think we're almost done. use one last poison sting!" Lisa gave an exciting command, with her calm & joyous tone of voice. The nidorina would launch, yet another, barrage of small missiles of poison matter at the bird.

She covered her mouth with shock, eyes panicked. "Archen! Try and get up! You can do it!" she pleaded. But she knew that if he fainted, she would lose the match, and her chance of getting enrolled.
The Archen did its best to obey her command, standing on its talons, panting heavily. Amalia watched with worried eyes, then a sad smile crossed her lips as the bird Pokemon collapsed, unable to battle anymore. Her hair hid her face but then she revealed a bright smile with tears in her eyes, summoning the Pokemon back into the Pokeball. Glancing down at the sphere in her hand she smiled more and glanced at the teacher.
"I may have lost... But that was probably the most fun I had ever had!" she beamed, a few tears rolling down her face. "I did my best for my first battle... And I'm proud of myself for trying. she added, wiping her face before bowing politely. "Thank you..." The poisonous attacks had landed. Archen was down, and so it seemed the little girl's dreams were dashed a bit as well. Though she smiled for joy, she wept of sorrow. "Good job Ms Nidorina. Return." She said, giving a light bow & returning the poison type to its pokeball. Lisa then looked at the girl, seeing her bow. "Its okay. As long as you always do your best, Im sure things will always work out for you, whether you won or lost. Besides, you battled like a real trainer! Such determination." She smiled at the young girl.
"Also," She began to speak more, politely taking archen's pokeball. "Time for you to get your starter pokemon." Placing the pokeball in her pocket, sh returned to her speech. "You have three choices." The teacher would smile. Suddenly three pokemon walked in, each holding their own pokeball. "You can only pick one. The others go back to the Poke Ranch." She informed.
"Pido!!" A small pidgeon pokemon would swoop in from the back room landing on the teacher's head. "Choice one, Pidove." Lisa said with a small smile, petting it gently. "Crani!" The fossil like dino ran into the room, coming to a grinding halt as it began to wag its tail, while sitting down in front of the trainer. "Cranidos." Lisa added. "Togepi." A small creautre wandered into the room, seemingly by accident. "Toge..." It stared at the girl. "Or a togepi." Lisa smiled. It was now up to the girl.

A smile graced her lips as she heard that she was getting enrolled after all. Noticing the three Pokemon appearing, she grinned brightly, her heart racing with excitement. She gazed at the Pidove for a moment. It appeared to be a reliable Pokemon, but to be quite honest with herself, she couldn't picture herself with it. The thought made her feel guilty for a moment, but then she turned to the Togepi.
It was adorable, she thought. She smiled at the thought of having it as her companion. However, it may be cute, but she didn't feel the connection with it. Lastly, she turned to the Cranidos. It had a cute face, she thought. But she sensed great potential from it. She could also picture it as her partner. Once she gazed into its eyes, she instantly felt a connection. A grin formed against her lips. She had found her partner.
"I think I'll take this Cranidos right here." she spoke, walking towards the dinosaur Pokemon and placed a hand on his head. [/style] | [atrb=valign,top][atrb=style,width:103px; padding: 0px; ][style=background-color: f0f0f0; padding: 2px;][/style] |

The teacher would grin, hading the girl a small box with two potions and six pokeballs. "Have fun." She said. The potions & pokeballs would be for future captures, that were issued to every student. The sixth ball, hower was for the cranidos. "Take good care. And before I forget, youll be in the balck dorms." Lisa nodded, cheerfully with a smile.
ooc:
Your cranidos has a hardy nature. It has the mold breaker ability! Its also a male.
