"So how long will it be now, my little sweetums? I know you're in there, waiting for the right time to show yourself...." Tyler spoke to Shelly the purple-lined egg, cradling her gently as he walked. He had grown bolder over time, returning to the same place that had haunted him for the second time... he just hoped it wouldn't nearly be so bad as that first trip.
He admitted he would've looked quite strange, cradling and speaking to his egg quietly... but he wouldn't have changed it.

"Scope, you need to toughen up. If you're going to keep being a coward, you're not gonna get any stronger."
Laz said to his Skorupi who had his head down. His blue scale looking exoskeleton glinting from the sunlight as they converged and stretched with his movements. Next to him was the excitable Freeze who always had some energy to spare. It's like he never ran out with how he keeps jumping around.
Scope on the other hand, tried to raise his head and nod at his trainer fervently. He didn't want to be a coward forever and if he ever wanted to make sure that he wouldn't be played around by that 'evil' Magnezone, he had to get stronger.

Tyler, initially, didn't notice Laz until he almost walked right by, glancing up and noticing the other trainer and his Pokemon.
"Oh, wow, Laz hey! Almost didn't see you there, too busy... ah.... talking to my egg.... she hasn't hatched yet, and I'm starting to worry she's... not going to at all...." Tyler stepped back a little, not wanting to seem freakishly close to the older trainer he didn't know particularly well... apart from that ass-kicking his Moku recieved from a Seedot, of all things. It was kind of embaressing...

"It'll hatch, don't sweat it."
Laz said, giving a few 'encouraging' words at the younger trainer who was holding up an egg that he probably got in Breeding Class. The egg reminded him of his Onix, somehow. Jormungander should probably be sleeping around now or something.
"So, anything new? Aside from your egg?"

"Oh, caught a few new Pokemon and battles have been going up and down... I see you've been catching as well" Tyler smiled a bit, nodding at his words. Of course, Shelly would hatch eventually, surely... she just needed her time.

"New pokemon huh? Well, I've been needing to give them a test run. You wanna have a fight with them?"
Laz asked as he chucked a thumb at Freeze and Scope, who were busy trying to see how far they can throw mud pies from point a to point b. Laz could only smile inwardly at how childish the two were acting and he wasn't gonna stop them from it. It's hard acting like yourself when you have a stigma after you.
"So, you up for it?"

"Oh, sure! I'd like to use my Ferroseed, Titan, and Tremor, my Diglett... unless you wanted to use more than that, but you must have some.... pretty powerful stuff by now" Tyler admitted, releasing his two Pokemon: Titan and Tremor, appearing on the ground. Titan was silent, but Tremor was as happy as ever, going up to Laz's Pokemon with a little "Dig, Digle!".

"If we can have a full team battle, that'd be better."
Laz said as he called Scope and Freeze back, the two pokemon already talking animatedly with the Diglett. With a few paces, the two of them had finally reached their trainer, smiles on their faces as Scope and Freeze started running around Laz again.
"So, how do you wanna go about this? Singles or Doubles?"

"Ah, full team eh... Moku won't enjoy fighting Loki a second time... Double is fine, I'd hope. I've only had one double battle myself..." Tyler admitted, calling Diglett back as well when Laz did the same with his own Pokemon.
"Alrighty, now these two need some pratice so let's give them some serious stuff to deal with, okay? No sense them battling if we treat them like hatchlings..." he told his Pokemon, Diglett just sort bouncing in his hole while Titan.... span a little.

"They have to grow up, don't they?"
Laz asked rhetorically as he shouldered his bag a bit, fixing it so it wasn't awkwardly hanging off his left side. Opening a small box filled with some sandwiches, Laz tore off a piece and fed it to the two excitable pokemon.
A small and delightful squeak from Freeze and a happy pinching of pincers from Scope told Laz that they liked the new spread he got. With that done, the two pokemon got into position.
"C'mon, let's start. Freeze, start with Blizzard at the Ferroseed. Scope, use Pin Missile on the Diglett."
Laz ordered as his pokemon begun the fight. His Swinub conjuring up a Blizzard at its whim and sending the storm of snow at the virtually immobile Ferroseed while Scope had taken aim at the Diglett before firing Pin Missile.

"Already on the offense, alright Tremor use Dig to avoid it and Titan, Rollout to try and dodge that Blizzard!" Tyler ordered quickly, knowing he could take a lot of damage in a short time if he let Laz's moves connect easily... after all, he'd wiped out Moku in no time.
Tremor, with his high speed used Dig and dissappeared under the ground, trailing his way towards Scope while Titan had a much bigger problem: he was slow. Even using Rollout the fringes of the Blizzard connected, chilling him as he began to race around towards Freeze, given Scope was already having to deal with Tremor's impending Dig move.

"Scope, Poison Trail! Freeze, use Earthquake!"
Laz ordered as Scope had began running away. Using his slightly better speed than the Swinub, Scope ran away from it, hearing it's order and the order its trainer gave to the Swinub.
As fast as it could, Scope tried heading all over to the other field, laying down two Toxic Spikes along his trail and scattering it as he went into a zig zag motion. Also, knowing that he changed positions, there was a chance that Dig would miss.
When the Blizzard barely hit, Freeze was disappointed but still kept a happy outlook on the battle. Hearing his order, the Swinub jumped high and smashed to the ground, creating an Earthquake on the battle field. The range should be enough to catch the Diglett during Dig and the Ferroseed to be damaged even by a bit from it.

"Tremor try and dodge! Ah, Titan! Curse then Gyro Ball on Scope!" Tyler commanded, quite unsure if Tremor could even hear him; indeed the Diglett popped up where Scope had formerly been on Laz's side of the field, looking quite surprised his target was gone, until he and Titan were slammed by the relatively weak Earthquake (the move sending Titan spiraling out of his Rollout, effectively cancelling it).
As Titan Cursed, reducing his speed but raising two stats and began to spin towards Scope and the Toxic Spike nest (bashing his Steel body through any Spikes that got in his way, sending them flying), Tremor glared towards the Sniwub. A 'pressure point', similar to a Primape or something afflicated by Taunt had appeared, indicating the Diglett's uncharacteristic rage. Until this point, every battle it had been surprised, misled, and pushed around.... and it had just hit the breaking point, missing it's opponent and being slammed by a move it itself often used.
"Digle! DIGLETT!" Tremor growled, tearing it's way towards the ground at Freeze before attempting to Slash.... as much as it possibly could manage.

"Freeze, Ice Shard and use Earthquake! Scope, Hone Claws and Pin Missile!"
Laz ordered, his order for Scope coming through in a small tone of alarm as he saw the Ferroseed use Curse and Gyro Ball of all things. The Diglett suddenly popping up this close had also alarmed Laz but already had an idea of what to use. Ice Shard, being a preemptive move should be able to hit the Diglett first before Freeze would suffer any real damage. As the chunks flew at the Diglett, the Swinub once more jumped up high and smashed to the ground, Earthquake being used as the tremors stretched through the area.
The Skorupi on the other hand was already freaking out, it's first move becoming essentially useless as it frantically sharpened its claws, drawing some pain in the process from scraping it wrong. With a frantic raise of his tail, the pin having screwy aim at the straight forward ball before firing Pin Missile.

Tremor gave a cry of pain as it Slash'd into the Ice Shard, reducing the brunt of the blow signifigantly but still taking a fair amount of damage, managing to Slash at Freeze one final time before taking the Earthquake at point-blank range. Already weakened, poor Tremor's relatively fragile defences wouldn't weather and he was defeated.
Despite the Hone Claws, Titan's raised defence meant he could still take on the Pin Missle rather well, Gyro Balling right through despite damage and continuing onwards towards Scope, ready to take the female scorpion Pokemon out.

"Scope, return. Freeze, assault it with Earthquakes."
Laz ordered as he quickly returned Scope, the failed usage of Pin Missile spelling her doom as the Gyroball kept rolling at her. The red light had managed to connect, moments after the Scorpion had been fainted. A small scowl formed in Laz's face as he saw his Swinub take the brunt of the Slash but was still going strong.
The distance was just enough. The Ferroseed wouldn't be able to reach Freeze for some time and both Laz and Freeze knew they had to end this quick. Freeze jumped into the air, ignoring the stinging pain from the Slash of the Diglett before smashing down on the ground, causing a rumbling before doing it again and using another Earthquake, sending around more cracks on the earth.

"Titan, if we're gonna go down we're taking them with us! Gyro Ball and if things look desperate.... Explosion!" Tyler ordered dramtically, the first Earthquake cancelling out what remain of the Gyro Ball that had fainted Scope, even throwing Titan up into the air.... which almost helped.
Once in the air, Titan span as fast as he could using Gyro Ball, angling himself back down towards Freeze like a spiky silver-green grenade.... ready to use Explosion at pointblank if things went south.
This battle was over, one way or another.
