But she felt like the mansion was calling out to her in the way in the exploration senses wanted her to check out different places on the pokemon academy. She didn’t want it to seem like she was favoring her Ninetales, Persephone since she had letting her out of her poke ball more often than her other pokemon. She could feel some jealously from her other pokemon anyway. This time she brought her female Absol, Celeste and her starter pokemon, Zeal on this new exploration into the haunted-like mansion.
She walked into the mansion quietly through the hallways hearing the floors spookily creak every once in a while. She shivered in the thought of meeting another bunch of high-level ghost pokemon again. But this time, she hoped this would different especially that she wasn’t at the city’s maze. She took a deep breath and said more to herself, “Everything will be just fine. Just fine.” She was grateful she was closer to her pokemon than before because now they gave her comfort in this creepy place she entered. She continued onward further and further as she went through the different twists and turns in the hallway hoping to let go of her fear of ghost pokemon and eventually catch a pokemon. | [atrb=width,140]outfit ,clickie heretagged ,moddddddd notes ,I will catch a pokemon yo. | [cs=2] |

From not too far away, the sounds of battle could be heard. It was difficult to tell just what was going on, but it seemed as though it wasn't going very well for one of them. The room it was coming from was only a few doors down...
As it stands, your options are a) Go into the room and see what's going on b) Ignore the sounds of the battle and keep moving. What will you do?

She could hear clashes and clashes from at least two pokemon or so a few doors down. She considered going to check it out but wasn’t that sure. Who knows? What if it was situation she couldn’t get away from? She sighed, at least this time there was a door she could just close. She motioned to her pokemon and asked, “What do you think? Should I check it out?” She looked at Zeal who looked at her boredly saying, “Bay…” as if he was saying go ahead like he didn’t mind either way. She glanced at Celestine who looked at her with excited eyes, “Sol!” Sage grinned, “I guess that settles it. We’ll check it out then.” She and her pokemon walked a few doors down and came to the door where the clashes of a battle came from and slowly peeked inside.

The battle was, indeed, a bit one-sided...but not in the way one would expect.
As it turned out, the Duskull was in love with the Kirlia. However, the Kirlia, having no interest in Pokemon weaker than herself, declared that she would only consider dating him if he could defeat her in a battle. One would think that, given their types, this wouldn't be a problem. However, this Duskull hasn't had much experience with battling, unlike the Kirlia, who has obviously been in enough to evolve at least once. This, combined with the overall difference in power between an unevolved and an evolved Pokemon, allowed the Kirlia to rather easily fight him off. Just as Sage entered the room, the Duskull was attempting to slip into a shadow and strike with Snadow Sneak. However, the Kirlia easily avoided the attack and countered with a Psychic, sending the Ghost-type flying into the wall. Then, before he even had a chance to fall to the ground, she launched a volley of Magical Leaves at the Ghost-type...just to add insult to injury. The Duskull fell to the floor, beaten and dejected, while the Kirlia simply watched on, a cold look in her eyes.
Your options are... a) Attempt to comfort the rejected Duskull b) Confront the Kirlia and put her in her place c) Leave the room and pretend you didn't see anything The choice you pick will determine which Pokemon you will have a chance at capturing, so choose carefully...
With that said...what will you do?

Just when Sage entered the room, she caught sight of a Duskell attempting to use what she remembered from studying, a shadow sneak and it seemed to fail in that it didn’t hit it’s intended target. Was that a Kirlia? Sage widened her eyes, it was pretty and you don’t see that pokemon everyday. She felt anxious and excited at the thought of catching it. But she felt bad about the duskell that fell to the floor after a magical leaf attack. Sage wasn’t sure what was going on but it seemed the Kirlia thought she was above the fallen Duskell. Sage knew that feeling well and she decided to take the Kirlia down a few notches.
Although Sage was wary of ghost pokemon a bit, she gulped down that wariness in order to comfort the Duskell. She said warmly, “It’ll be alright Duskell.” She then looked at the Kirlia, “We’re your new opponent now!” She considered using her Absol, Celeste since it would be practical especially her attack stat was very high and of course, an advantage over psychic pokemon. But her Bayleef looked ready to battle and already awaiting her command. Sage decided to use Celeste if she really needed to. She had Celeste sitting by Duskell just in case and ordered her Bayleef, “Magical Posion Leaf!” She watched Magical Leaves with purple powder being carried by it zooming faster and faster toward the Kirlia. She hoped it would hit but there was always a chance Kirlia would counter but still, it was worth a try.

Normally, the Kirlia wouldn't have had any trouble countering the attack, but she was caught off guard when the Bayleaf used two attacks at once. The leaves struck, and, before she could recover from that attack, she was surrounded by the toxic pollen. Not only did she take damage, but now she was Poisoned...and so was the Bayleaf. Her Ability, Syncronize kicked in the moment she was afflicted with the status, resulting int he Bayleaf being afflicted with the same status
With a smirk, she prepared to attack. First, she unleashed a large blast of psychic energy at the Bayleaf, just like she did to the Duskull a moment ago. Only, this time, she didn't follow with Magical Leaf. Instead, illusions appeared, until it looked like there were four Kirlia in the room. They were identical to the Kirlia in every way, making it almost impossible to tell right away which was the real one.
------------ Post Summary - The wild Kirlia is poisoned! However, her Ability, Synchronize, was activated, causing the Bayleaf to be poisoned as well. - The wild Kirlia used Psychic, then followed with Double Team

Sweet! But then suddenly, Zeal looked a bit under the weather too and somewhat in pain but not too much. Damn, why didn’t she think about that? He was poisoned and definitely not what Sage was expecting in the battle. She mumbled irritated at the situation, “Tsk.” Zeal almost stumbled but he held his ground probably from shock that he also got poisoned rather than from pain. Sage’s first thought was to use Aromatherapy to cure him from being poisoned but she decided against that since she might not have the time to do so and it might be a fast pace battle depending on her opponent at hand. She told her Bayleef, “Shake it off!” Zeal went back to a charging position and waited for her command.
But he didn’t have to wait that long. Sage was right; she didn’t have time for him to use Aromatherapy at all. The Kirlia attacked with a large blast of psychic energy and Sage immediately said, “Light Screen!” as a bright light came from Zeal, which acted as a somewhat barrier that would at least suppress some of the damage from the attack. He was pushed back by a little but stood his ground. Sage just hoped he could keep it up for now until she had time to heal him soon. Suddenly, she saw four copies of the Kirlia and she knew she had to act fast. Not wanting to be open for attacks; she ordered, “Magical Leaf!” as pretty leaves zoomed toward Kirlia once again.

The Kirlia's eyes widened when she realized that the Magical Leaf would ignore her attempts to prevent herself from getting hit. The Duskull's face lit up when he saw the Kirlia actually taking hits. This prompted the small Ghost to run up to Sage. Whatever she was doing with the Bayleaf, he seemed to want her to do it with him too.
Meanwhile the Kirlia was not amused. A small surge of pain coursed through her body from the Poison. And, with Light Screen up, her attacks would only do half damage. She began starting at the opponent, her eyes sending hypnotic waves in an attempt to put the Bayleaf to sleep. Then she would launch another blast of Psychic energy.
---------------- Post Summary - the wild Duskull, encouraged by watching you battle, seems to want you to command him - the wild Kirlia used Hynosis, followed by Psychic, on the Bayleaf

Then she realized what the Duskell was trying to communicate to her. She gave a grin, “You want to be strong Duskell? Stick with us and we’ll help you out.” She paused, “Get ready!” as she subtly told him to join Zeal in the battle. She said, “You’ll be fine” trying to console him. She watched closely seeing Kirlia suddenly in pain and Sage needed to find an opening to actually affect the Kirlia even more. Alright, Light Screen was still in effect so that was helpful right now. Suddenly, she saw Kirlia’s eyes glowing red. Was that hypnosis? She panicked in her assumption of Zeal being put to sleep during the battle. But then, right—from studying to get into the pokemon academy, Zeal was immune. She ordered Zeal, “Aromatherapy!” as he released a multicolored fragrance from his leaf healing the poison from his system. It was enough time to be ready for the incoming blast of psychic energy. Zeal blocked the psychic energy from hitting the Duskell and took some damage as the attack pushed him back a bit and looked a bit in pain. Sage was worried for her starter pokemon but if she returned him, his warrior spirit won’t live it down. He had those eyes of fire and determination. Push him down, injure him—and he’ll get right back up. She began thinking of what to attack with for Duskell and Hex was a good choice. It doubles the attack if the pokemon is affected with a major status ailment. But it was time to counter, she ordered assertively, “Hex! Razor Leaf!” Duskell released a black ball of energy and Zeal sent out sharp-edged leaves at the Kirlia. Sage widened her eyes seeing the razor leaves surrounding the black ball of energy zooming toward the Kirlia and almost about to hit.

The Kirlia was beginning to panic...she had forgotten about her own ability, and thus left an opening for the Bayleaf to heal herself. This trainer and her Pokemon was making a fool of her! She refused to back down though. Moving quickly to the side, she avoided the Razor Leaf...only to be caught completely off-guard by the Shadow Ball. It was a direct hit, and try as she might, she couldn't keep standing. Within seconds she collapsed.
The wild Duskull was elated. Granted, he knew she wouldn't count this as a victory for him, but seeing the Kirlia defeated meant that it was possible. This was all he needed. As such, he looked to Sage cheerfully, hoping to go with her.
--------------------- Congratulations! You scored not one, but two Pokemon! The defeat of the wild Kirlia has guaranteed her capture and you have, through your actions, you have captured the heart of the Duskull. All you need is to make it official with a couple Poke Balls.
Kirlia Name: Whatever you wish Gender: Female Ability: Synchronize Personality: An aloof and seemingly cold Pokemon, though she's not as unfriendly as she seems. She is, however, very prideful. Even though she actually does have feelings for the Duskull who's been pursuing her, her pride won't allow her to admit it until he can defeat her in battle. Basically, she's a classic tsundere.
Duskull Name: Whatever you wish Gender: Male Ability: Levitate Personality: Hopelessly in love with <insert Kirlia's name>, this Duskull is determined to prove himself worthy of her by defeating her in battle. Despite this, however, his confidence is easily shaken by a defeat. Thankfully, it doesn't take long for him to pick himself back up.

Sage grinned happily saying, “Great job guys!” as Zeal and Duskell floated and walked back to her. Zeal looked content though peeved he didn’t get the finishing blow he wanted to do and Sage sighed at his disappointed facial expression. The Duskull on the other hand was the opposite, he was happy about the victory or so it seemed. Sage grinned at the Duskull and said, You want come with us? Alright!” She threw the pokeball at Kirlia and it seemed it wiggle a bit but stopped and threw the poke ball at Duskull and he was caught. Score! She looked at Zeal thoughtfully hopefully he wouldn’t develop any jealously issues from this pokemon battle. She sighed and proceeded to begin to walk out of the room deciding it was enough for tonight. She was content with the capture and hoped to help Duskull with his confidence issues and make Kirlia a nicer pokemon somehow though Sage knew it probably would be a gradual process indeed.

"A talented Trainer, I see."
A smooth and charming voice echoed through out the room. A sliver of light bounced around the room as a cute little Charmander bounced around the room, its tail of fire burning brighter as it felt the place accept him.
On the other side, a silver haired man appeared, his black and crisp suit following his movements as the Charmander smiled with glee. The little orange and fiery lizard ignored you and all of your pokemon in favor of running towards the man and jumping up as high as he could.
With open arms, Tao caught the pokemon in his hands and raised him over head before giving it a good petting on its head. The little charmander mewled as it pointed at the student.
"I see the Kirlia and Duskull...have been caught. Tell me student, what is your name?"

Although it sounded like compliment, she really didn’t expect to meet anyone else here, she just wanted to leave, and the way the deep-toned voice echo throughout the room was creeping her out. It brought her to a halt as her stiffened in sudden alertness. Then out of nowhere, an adorable Charmander appeared and began to bounce around the room. What was this cute pokemon doing here? She almost considered catching the Charmander—almost. But it didn’t like a Charmander would regularly be in this mansion. It must belong to another trainer. But who?
She got her answer as from the corner of her eye; saw a silver-haired man wearing a haunting crisp black suit who had such an imposing figure. As she observed him carefully, the imposing older man’s facial features reminded her of a wild animal but—with a certain charm and sophistication hard to tell from regular onlooker’s eyes. Who was this guy? Wait—could it be? Rai, her best friend had told her that he was given detention by the Headmaster. Tao was it? That must be why he seemed in control and imposing. Her face looked down in nervousness. Might as well take in stride. Though she smiled warmly seeing that the Charmander liked him and Headmaster Tao seemed like a kind person. Well, she assumed he was the Headmaster. She hoped she wasn’t wrong or she’ll probably make a fool out of herself instead.
She looked back as he walked closer trailing off stating that she caught the Kirlia and the Duskell. She guessed she was lucky especially that the Kirlia was seemingly strong opponent and that she had to think fast since Zeal was weak against poison. She had panicked when that happened. He asked what was her name. It didn’t hurt to answer right? It was time to cover up her nervousness as she then replied back with a charming smile, “I’m Sage Ryland. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you Headmaster Tao.” Inside, she trembling with nervousness hoping she didn’t do anything wrong. And if she did, she definitely won’t do it again. It was merely a matter of self-preservation.

"Believe me, the pleasure is all mine."
Tao informed as he walked closer, the dim light of the Charmander heating up as it became insanely stronger. With a cute squeak of 'Char!' The little orange Lizard dropped down and sped out of the room again, boundless energy not wanting to be contained.
"A talented Trainer, you certainly are. Tell me, are you a diligent student?"
Tao asked, curiosity in his voice as he paced around the girl, wisps of dark smoke following him as he kept walking, reaching even the far end of the room and flipping on the switches, blazing the room in white light as a Dusknoir appeared next to him, shielding his eyes from from the brightness.
"Or are you complacent upon your strength?"

Sage almost thought she was in some sort of play though she hoped not. Besides she was proud she was able to catch the Duskull and the Kirlia. She then giggled seeing the adorable Charmander running cutely out of the room. She couldn’t help it; the Charmander was just so adorable that she had been tempted to just hug the little lizard. But unfortunately, the little lizard didn’t seem the slightest bit interested in her at all. She heard his first question and pondered over what to say. Then suddenly, Headmaster Tao turned on the light and she felt blinded by the bright light since the whole time, she was exploring in a darkened mansion. She saw an equally imposing figure, an evolved pokemon. So that’s how Duskull would look like when he evolves. Did the Duskull belong to the headmaster?
Was the Headmaster testing her? The way he presented those two questions made it seem like it was a test. She guessed she was diligent since she’s been training her pokemon and herself on a regular basis. But complacent? She couldn’t imagine herself thinking like that any time soon. She looked at Headmaster with determination in her eyes, “No sir. I’m not complacent. I believe there’s always room for improvement and that we have to continuously train to strive to become better and better as an individual and as a trainer.” She paused feeling a bit nervous, “I believe I’m a diligent person sir.” What the hell did she just say? Sage realized she sort of sounded like a well—a teacher. That’s not what she was going for. She just wanted to make her point but she unfortunately began rambling.

"So, a diligent student."
Tao repeated as he paced around the velvety room, his shoes clacking but not making a sound on the muffling rug. His Dusknoir had closely followed him as the Ghost had also sent glances towards the trainer.
"I do have high hopes for students like you."
Tao said as his Dusknoir produced some kind of item from...somewhere, maybe mallet space or a Hidden Purse or something. The Dusknoir floated towards the girl as he dropped a small item on her hands.
"It's a Spell Tag. It should help that Duskull of yours."
Tao said as the lights once more vanished and when they came back on, he was gone. A door shimmering with light could be noticed somewhere and had the words 'Exit' on it.

The chilled air sent shiver down her body, goose bumps appearing and his intimidating and imposing figure didn’t help at all. She felt a slight breeze against her bare skin making her brush a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Wait. Wasn’t she inside the room and the fact that the windows were closed? This was very strange. Was he still testing her was she just paranoid? But like her mother would say, always be on your toes. Still, he was her Headmaster. She watched closely but also nervously as the Dusknoir with that deep black hole in the middle floated toward her. She wondered what was inside that dark abyss of a hole and was terrified at her thoughts. What if it sucked in humans? Was it able to do so? She tried to shake off that thought. She shakily put her arm out to accept the Spell Tag from the Dusknoir and said thanks. She just wanted to get out of the Mansion very soon and it would probably be a while until she came back. Suddenly the light flashed off as the Headmaster and the Dusknoir faded from view. Damn. They left her in the dark and she was alone in the mansion. Then she cursed herself realizing she had pokemon and let out Celestine who nuzzled her as they walked toward the shimmering light leading toward the exit. Well, today—was very unexpected.
