Slipping into a nice and simply casual outfit, Rai would prepare for a training. Fran needed to practice her coordinating. So did the other two babies of the group, Tomo & Kazu. The three had grown more than tired of just hanging around the pokemon who were much more experienced and older than they. The blonde would put on his Starbucks tee shirt, with their logo on the front torso of it. Black slim fitting jeans, and a black blazer on top of it all and his black sperry's. It was an outfit he didnt mind ruining or getting a stain or two on.
"Am I late or just early?" Rai wondered into the swamp, trying to answer his own questions. At his side wandered a brave little litwik, Kazu. With his light gaze, Kazu would follow and point out things, as if asking "what's this? And this? And this ?" Repeatedly. Rai would only smile and told his pal. "I have no idea." He giggled lightly. "Lit." Kazu nodded, igniting his little flame a bit.
Wandering around, the boy and pokemon seemed to find themselves on a bridge crossing from one side of the swamp to another. The bridge was quite wide as well, possibly for battle. The bridge looked as if it was in less than good shape, but sturdy for it. "Are we even alloed to be this far out?" Rai asked patiently, gazing across. Kazu would tug lightly on Rai's pants leg. "Lit." It pointed at some strange figure coming Rai's way.

Spike/Rhyhorn, Blackstar/Shinx, Zarbon/Bronzor
Speedy was out in the swamp looking for some kind of new pokemon for his team. Mostly, still looking for that particular bug time that he was aiming for. Still, he had yet to find one anywhere. Maybe he should just give up the search and just continue with what pokemon he already had. Lately he had been in a bit of a clean streak. Not being able to catch any of the pokemon he went after anywhere. They either do not interest him or kept simply running away. He found a Seviper one time, but alas it didn't happen. In Speedy's reluctance the Seviper managed to slither away out of sight. Escaping his capture, but then again, it was doubtful he would catch that pokemon any way. Wasn't very big into Sevipers, Ya' Know?
Ehh It mattered little anyway, might as well go home and relax. Turn on the TV, watch a movie or two. And then go to class. That was the best thing about this school, the classes were so.... flexible. You could go in whenever you wanted, there wasn't a tardy bell. There wasn't any absences. Unless you refused to come to any of the classes that day. And best of, if you had an hour of free time between classes you could go capture some random new pokemon. Or hang out with some friends, maybe even have a battle or two. There were no end to the possibilities. No wonder so many people in the world wanted to come to the school. Not only can you become a Pokemon Master here, but the school makes school Fun For once. Ugh, Unlike the school in Blackthorn. Wake up every morning at god knows what hour, go to school for eight hours learning about random subjects among pokemon for eight hours then go home.
Speedy ran his good hand through his hair. Ugh, Stop thinking about the past, that's done and over with. And think about the present and the future. He took a deep sigh, staring ahead of him. There was a dim purple ghostly light in the distance. And a Figure standing above it. The only thing visible of the figure was it's bright yellow hair. He knew that hair, he had seen it around plenty enough. "OI! Raize! What are you doing out in the big bad swamp?"

The strange object came closer, its shadowy figure and all would grow. Finally it appeared to be a random trainer from god knows where, passing by. The boy woul;d return Rai's awkward stare back at him until finally moving along. The pokemon coordinator would then continue with what he was doing, absolutely nothing. "Now, wh--" Rai started, stretching his arms by reaching them up high & cracking his knuckles. Suddenly an extremely familiar voice could be heard from not too far away at all. The boy was asking why he was here.
"Well Speedy, Im out here because my pals here needed to train a bit. Wanna be our sparring partner for the day?" Rai asked his rival. Seeing him again was always a refreshing thing, seeing as how he was the first person Rai battled against. Though it still gave Rai a slight chill that he had the feeling Speedy was gaining on him during Rai's breaks from adventure, he was happy to see a good friend none the less.

Speedy gently scratched the back of his ear. Moving farther back until he was scratching the back of his head. He then dropped his hand before walking over to Raize. His shoes gently squishing in the water soaked mud. As he reached Raize, the boy began to speak. Saying that they were out there for some training. Hey! He could do with some training, I mean why not? No pokemon were around to capture so might as well right? "A Sparring match? Sure, Of course. I accept. A First, I will call upon Apache to fight." He muttered, digging into his pokebelt, and pulling out Blackstar's's pokeball. Pressing the small button in the center the ball opened in a red flash of energy. The Energy shot, and was directed in front of the trainer. The Shinx materialized, sitting down on the ground giving his trainer a skeptical look. "Yes we're going to have a battle, sheesh! How about some hamburgers tonight for dinner? The Shinx shrugged, it would do. Even though he wasn't very fond of Hamburgers.
"Alright, I have my pokemon. What will your choice be?" The trainer looked down at Raize's feet where the mysterious ghostly light resonated. Where sat, or stood maybe a Fire Pokemon in particular. Speedy had researched this pokemon online before. Quite powerful indeed, he took a squat right next to it. Gently blinking as he took in the image. "Wow, Lucky! That's... a Litwick right? I never learned about those in school. All I know is that it's typing is Ghost and Fire. Very nice pokemon indeed. Haha, I'm jealous, wouldn't mind one for myself to be honest." He said smiling slightly to the pokemon.

Kazu would glare at Speedy, being an opponent, why was he so close? Pointing at Speedy, it declared a battle. "Lit!" It nodded, pointing at itself with a cute but stern voice. Kazu was prepared to do what he could. Hopefully he'd be able to put his practice to good use. "Lit!" Kazu called out, increasing the flame ontop of his head as the shinx appeared. "I guess you're up Kazu." Rai laughed playfully at the litwick's strong will.
"Well, get ready! Time to take the stage!" Rai called out, wrapping his short yellow scarf around his neck. "Start this off with ember!" Rai called out once again. The little candle would take a nice gulp of air before breathing out small, petite red flames towards the shinx. It was time to get this party started.

Speedy gently chuckled as the Litwick made it's protest. Awww How cute, pity it was his opponent. He almost wouldn't be able to battle against it. He then, put on a Grimace, that would have been his biggest downfall. If anyone ever captured a Totodile, and battled it against him, he wouldn't be able to bring himself at actually attack it. Thankfully, nobody on the island had a Totodile, or any of it's evolutions. There were a few pokemon that fell into that category, very, very few.
But that was enough of that, it seemed like the Litwick was getting ready for the fight. His trainer even commanded him when Speedy was still near his pokemon. The trainer sprang backwards out of the way of the Ember attack, accidentally slipping on the ground and falling backwards, landing on his back. This caused Shinx to be vunerable and be struck with the Ember. He closed his eyes shielding them away from the Fire attack. The trainer struggled back up as quickly as possible, careful not to slip any more after that.
"Hey Raize, have you ever thought, of Pokemon on Motorcycles? I mean, you were need a Dodrio just for the thing to keep up with you. Ugh, How stupid can you bloody well get? Now, Blackstar, Counter with Swagger." Blackstar turned his face towards the Litwick, with a slaking kind of manner as if he was bored or unimpressed. He then turned his nose up at the Litwick saying that he was far better than him in every way. After, looking at him once more, sticking his tongue out at him in a taunting way.

Chuckling, Rai managed to shrug off Speedy's joke. It was something that could wait until later. "Lit..." Kazu asked aloud, looking around in great confusion. The litwick had become confused by the swagger and blinked slowly. Looking side to side, it wondered where it was. "Lit!" It pointed straight ahead. "Try to use confuse ray and will-o-wisp!" Rai called out. The little candle pokemon would glare at the shinx, with bright red glowing eyes. Though it didnt really know what it was aiiming at, it looked straight at the shinx. "Lit?" Its eyes stopped glowing, as it would hold its hand up to its face. "...Lit?" It asked aloud trying to remember the other move. Instead it would launch a light wave of flames toward(will-o-wisp) the shinx, not remembering that was the direction Rai gave.

Speedy gently strugged, he would ask Raize about it after the battle, maybe he just didn't hear him. Ehh Maybe, Maybe not. The trainer raised a gentle brow, at the fact that that Raize had decided to use Confuse ray. As well as Will-o-Wisp upon the Shinx. The Confuse Ray struck against Blackstar, he blinked slowly, following the light around and around until he became very dizzy. When the light disappeared, he slowly wavered back and forth on the ground as if it was moving. To be honest, it looked like the pokemon was drunk. Since Litwick didn't have legs he couldn't get that analogy.
The Will-O-Wisp struck against Blackstar, seeping into his skin and causing a red, irritated burn. What very few people knew about the burn status alignment was that it halved the attack of whomever is burned. But then again there was way of getting around that. "Blackstar! Counter with Charge and Discharge!" Blackstar questioned the commands as if they were foreign to him. Slowly the usual yellow veil began to surround Blackstar's body until he was completely topped off. Then bent his head the other way as if struggling to realize what the next command was. Until Static electricity started covering his body and shot it outwards in a Discharge attack.

"Ka--" Rai started, but stopped before beginning the command. He had run out of breath. For some reason he was unable to do much of anything aside from stare at Kazu. watching the discharge strike, h would see a litick laying on ground. "Lit..." Kazu called out, standing up and pointing. Before it would pass out completely, the little candle nodded side to side until finally fridt into its K.O status. "Good one. " Rai smiled at the passed out poke, returning it to its ball. "Fran your up." Rai smiled at the budew, as she charged forward.

Blackstar snarled even as the Discahrge struck against the Litwick, expecting it to get right back up and continue battling without a hitch. To the trainer's and the Pokemon's surprise the pokemon went down without a second opinion. Blackstar turned his head to the side questioning if it was really K.O.ed or is it was just playing dead. Well the question answered itself whenever the trainer returned it into it's pokeball. "Wow Blackstar, you didn't have to be so rough. But that's good, it means you're getting stronger." Blackstar smiled, running over to his trainer. But unfortunately due to the confusion Blackstar tripped over his own two feet and crashed into the ground. "Hehe, Why don't you just take a Nice Long rest alright?" The Shinx growled in approval.
Speedy pulled out Blackstar's pokeball, returning him inside. A Thin red beam shot out from the center of the ball, returning him inside and into pure energy form. Returning him inside of the pokeball. Not long after, Raize tossed out his second pokemon. A Budew, a baby evolution. Must have gotten it from Breeding class. "Hmmm... Budew... Budew... Let me think about Budew... How about? Zarbon?" He pulled out Zarbon's pokeball, tossing it out onto the field. The Small Mirror Like pokemon appeared, doing a few spins in the air. "Now... Let's Start off with... Heal Block." Small Psychic Sphere's appeared at every one of Zarbon's edges, suddenly flying outwards, wrapping themselves around the battle field.

Switching pokemon on Rai was a pretty smart move. It was always nice & fun to show off another pokemon's ability and talent. "Good choice." Looking over behind him to see a small blue ball rolling around in circles, he'd instantly recognize his phanpy, Tomo. "Hold on Fran. I wanna use Tomo first. He seems to be a bit more impatient than expected." Rai grinned, not sure what to say afterwards. Fran would prance over and smack Tomoko. "Fran!" Rai looked with shock. She had smacked him enough to stop him and get his attention. Stopping to listen, Tomo would sit on his fanny. "Phan!" He would walk over and take his stance in front of Rai.
"Dew." Fran let out a light sigh. Explaining that it was actually his turn was more of a pain than imagined. "Thanks Fran, now get ready Tomoko..." Scratching the back of his head lightly, Rai would chuckle. "Im not sure how to start this one." He smiled upon the field. "Actually." Rai came up with something. Usually since Rai never used Tomoko in battle, Rai would never know how to actually start up any battle. Though it was a waste of a pokemon, it was still something that Rai always luckily would avoid.
Fortunately, like last time, Raize had come up with a way to get the battle going. "Use defense curl and charm!" Rai called out to Tomo. By curling up into a little sphere, Rai watched Tomoko become the small shape it loved. Rolling in circles and glowing with a light blue aura, Tomoko raised his defense. "Phan!" It unbundled itself and burst out. Putting the trunk down & shooting adorable puppy eyes at the opposing pokemon, Tomoko attempted to lower its attack.

As Raize sat there staring at the battle. Speedy waited for him to give a command, he was just about to call out another command whenever a small blue ball came rolling up behind him. Hmm the Phanpy, interesting. Raize quickly spoke to both the Phanpy and the Budew. Making a quick change of roster. He took the Budew out of the battle while butting the Phanpy in. Then he waited even longer to use a move with Phanpy. Until he finally admitted that he had no idea how to start the battle. The trainer took a deep sigh, shaking his head gently. Well, he couldn't really blame him. It was that way with all new pokemon. You didn't know any of the moves that went together or knew anything about them. Especially with baby pokemon it was particularly difficult.
Again, Speedy was just about to issue out his own commands of his own pokemon until Raize finally started talking. Figuring out a couple of moves he could combined together. Charm, and Defense Curl. Zarbon gently floated circles in the air, caring very little for anything that the Phanpy chose to do. While it's trainer put his head to the side. Ehh, He is aware that Zarbon is a Psychic Type right? He doesn't need to use Physical type moves. "Zarbon, use Iron Defense, and ExtraSensory." Suddenly Zarbon's body gained a Bright Silver Sheen, as it's body hardened greatly. Uping it's Defense Stat by two stages. Afterwards, Zarbon's eyes opened wide, as it sent a wave of Psychic energy directly towards the Phanpy.

With his adversary also increasing his own stats, Rai would cheerfully smile. With another chuckle, he openly shared his thoughts once again. "Well, what exactly can you do?" Rai asked. "Tomo, take a defensive stance!" Rai called out. Tomoko would squat a bit, placing its trunk towards the incoming blast. As it struck, Tomo would fumble around in a repetitious circular pattern. "Phan.." It seemed to have been struck kinda sorta hard. Shaking its head side to side, Tomoko would regain conscious nous. "Phan! Tomo wandered back into position.
"Use roll out!" Rai called out. With bundling up into a small shaped ball, Tomo would dart forward with roll out! Hopefully it'd land pretty hard the first time around.

"Well, what exactly can you do?" Speedy blinked, was he talking to him? Or was he talking to his pokemon? Like, was he asking what Speedy could do to his pokemon? Or was he asking his pokemon what moves he could use. Agh! The entire thing was confusing. If he was talking to his pokemon... well, why would he be asking his pokemon what moves it could do? He was it's trainer, not like the pokemon itself could tell you what move to use next turn. Mostly because they couldn't talk in human tongue. Although for some reason, even though each and every one of the pokemon say something absolutely different they can all understand each other. And even in some cases, they talk by attacking. For example, Pikachu talking to a certain electric bird using Thundershock. Didn't make much sense, but as long as it worked right?
Afterwards,m the opposing trainer commanded his Phanpy to use Roll Out. A Rock type move, normally Bronzor was resistant to Rock types. And due to Defense Curl being used last turn it doubled the power of the attack. But since he was already resistant the power when straight back down. The Phanpy struck against Zarbon, and planned to continue on rolling. "Counter, With Extrasensory again." Zarbon's aura suddenly pulsed. As it sent out a wave of Psychic power heading towards Phanpy.

Having stuck Zarbon, Rai would become more delighted with Tomo. He was suddenly doing something with himself and successful. "Keep going!" Rai called out to his battling elephant pokemon. Tomo continued his rolling, having made a U-turn and coming back at the steel type. "Charge around!" Rai called out. Seeing Tomo continue straight for the target, Rai realized that Tomo cant see. "Turn right & focus inward once more!" Rai changed up the directions. Just before hitting the blasting psychic energy, Tomo would continue rolling and take off to the right. Avoiding the attack, Tomo would turn back to the path & continue to aim straight at Zarbon.
