Newbie Mission: Each person in the thread should have at least 200 words per post. There also needs to be 5 posts per person. So if you have two people on the mission, when you submit it, there should be a total of at least 10 posts from beginning to end. If there were three people, there should be 15 posts. And so on. Generally, if you fulfill those two requirements, we'll always approve it fully. Do note that Newbie Missions can't be done solo, so do remember to take a partner with you.
Novice Mission: Since D missions aren't really that much different from Novice, the post count is the only thing up'd. Each post should be at least 250 words. If you have more than one person in the mission, it should have 7 posts per person. If it is a solo mission, there should be 8 posts minimum. So if there are two people, when you submit it, it should have at least 14 posts. If it's a solo, there should be at least 8.
Rookie Mission: This is where the rigor begins. There should still be 250 words per post. If you have multiple people in the mission, there should be 10 posts per person. If it is a solo mission, there should be 11 posts. You also shouldn't be fighting weak ass Pokemon or delivering stuff to other students or doing something too menial. Just saying.
Veteran Mission: Big jump. Should still have 300 words per post. If it's not a solo mission, each person should have posted at least 15 times. If it is a solo mission, there should be 20 posts. Also, if you submit something that looks like you breezed through it and your character didn't undergo any REAL difficulty, we're going to reduce your award.
Ace Mission: Here, we start getting picky. Each post should have at least 350 words. If there are multiple people, each person should contribute at least 20 posts each. If it's a solo mission, there should be a minimum of 30 posts. Also, have the objective be unique and potentially threatening to you and your pokemon. It should not only be hard for the character(s) to complete the mission, but the role player as well.
Elite Mission: Each post should have at least 400 words. If there are multiple people, each person should have posted 25 times. If only one person is enduring the mission, we require 40 posts. We suggest not having more than two people go on an S-class mission simply because it would take forever to finish, but it's up to you. The mission objective should be insane, and even you the role player should look at it and go “...how do I do this?”
----------------
[ NEWBIE CLASS ] The maximum reward for this mission is 250 Student Points. Anyone can complete these missions—the only catch is that you cannot do solo missions (so there must be at least a pair of participants. However, if a situation occurs where your allies abandon you, please talk to the staff.). Novice missions should be trivial and unimportant. They should not have a lasting effect on any participant or antagonist. Novice missions should comprise of things such as retrieving lost items, rescuing a Pokemon from small stuff, delivering something of importance, etc. There should be no all-out fights. In fact, we discourage fights in Newbie missions. The mission should be more about the journey than your character's battle stats—keep that in mind. If your mission is to retrieve a stolen book, that is fairly easy, BUT it should still take a while. It shouldn't be done in three rounds of posting.
[ NOVICE CLASS ] These missions are exactly the same as Newbie missions, save for two changes. One: the maximum reward is 500 Student Points. Two: you can complete a mission by yourself. There still should be minimal fighting! Maybe a few encounters with a Caterpie or something equally weak. At worst, they should be a minor inconvenience that has little, if any, bearing on the success of the mission.
[ ROOKIE CLASS ] This is where missions start becoming more exciting. The maximum reward is increase to 1500 Student Points. There should be signs of rigor, and requires the innate skill of a Rookie Trainer. You can complete a mission by yourself, as with any missions above Newbie. Rookie Class missions normally include things that might require traveling to sketchy places to complete a menial errand, breaking into a poorly guarded area, etc. You may encounter obstacles along the way that risk ruining your mission, but life endangerment should not be eminent.
[ VETERAN CLASS ] Mission rewards jump up to 4000 Student Points here because of the big difference in class. Unlike previous missions, these may occasionally include life-threatening situations. Things such as rescuing someone, countering an attack by other Trainers, defeating a monstrous wild Pokemon are fairly typical in these missions.
[ ACE CLASS ] Another big jump in rewards—10,000 Student Points. These missions should be dangerous. VERY dangerous. It shouldn't take one night to complete it, either. Ace-class missions should be difficult and straining on the participants. We strongly suggest not completing an Ace-class mission alone, as usually Ace-class missions are too much for one, but we don't require it. Examples would be destroying an infestation of strong wild Pokemon, defeating a Pseudo Legendary Pokemon, defeating Trainers of the same class and etc.
[ ELITE CLASS ] Lastly, the big ones. The maximum reward is a whopping 30,000 SP. Only Elite Class Trainers may participate. These missions should be ridiculously hard, to the point that only the best of the best will have even a slight hope of pulling it off. When you read the mission, you should go "How the hell do I do that?" or "Is that even physically possible?". Examples would be defeating several groups of rogue students, defeating a bunch of Pseudos and etc. These missions are both insanely difficult and extremely dangerous, so coming out unscathed is next to impossible.
------------
NPC. Most missions have an antagonist/villain/obstacle/etc NPC'd instead of played by an actual character. For these cases, either one person is designated as the NPC player or everyone controls it within their own post. If you NPC the "bad guy" then we scrutinize your mission much more carefully, as it is not as authentic and the win is controlled by the participants. So keep in mind that even if you NPC the antagonist, you should do so realistically.
MIXED CLASSES. We do allow lesser ranks to join in with a higher rank's mission. So if an Elite-class Trainer allows a Rookie-class to accompany him/her on the mission, that is fine. We have some restrictions, though. One: you must get staff permission. We'll generally approve it as long as it doesn't seem illogical or seem like insta-kill to the lesser rank. Two: mission reward is split. The lesser rank will not get more than their own class's cap. So, if a Novice-class Trainer accompanies an Elite-class Trainer and the reward is 30,000 Student Points, the Elite-class Trainer will be awarded 29,500 Student Points and the Novice-Class Trainer will be awarded 500 Student Points.
MISSION INADEQUACY. If we feel the mission was successful, but was either rushed or not completed in the ideal manner, we will award fewer Student Points. Just the same, if your reward was less than the maximum for your class, and you did better than needed, we'll award more (but it will never exceed the cap).
