The cool breeze, the scorching hot sun. The cries of happiness from his pokemon. Ahh what a day, the sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky. You know those perfect days that everyone seems to talk about? While you seem to never believe them? Well today was one of those days. Speedy laid shirtless upon a towel on the beach. His body still dripping from recently wading his way out of the water. Ryohei, His Primeape was enjoying a nice cool soak in the water. Daisy his newly evolved Swanna was making googly eyes at Apache, his newly evolved Braviary. While Apache simple ignored her and continued about his business. Spike his hot tempered Rhyhorn was sleeping underneath a nearby tree. While Blackstar and Zarbon were aimlessly wrestling each other to the ground.
And surprisingly, Speedy did NOT have his pokeballs with him. He didn't wish to catch any new pokemon today. Maybe tomorrow, but today he just wanted to relax. The burn on his arm was starting to feel better every day, it didn't burn to much from going into the water with him. But then again salt water is good for an open wound, cleans it out and kills the bacteria. The only thing that would make this day any kinds of better, was a pokemon battle. But sadly, there was no one around, for the moment.

"Heh, Kostya? How's taking care of the kids?"
Laz asked, his tone jovial as he had decided to try out something new today. He'd been practicing all of his other moves on the forests and mountains. Sure, he wasn't a ninja yet since that took years of practice to swiftly move through the trees and everything but Laz was fine with knowing how to swing with vines and climbing up trees and jumping from branch to branch with the help of his partner.
The purple floating ghost only gave an exasperated sigh at the memory of having to take care of everyone else as he glared mockingly at the red head who laughed it off as well. When they reached the block sign, the trainer had to laugh as he simply opened the door that was perpetually unlocked. Besides that, climbing over the wired fence wouldn't be that hard either. Just a few hooks on the foot holds and pulling himself up. Curl his feet up and land on the balls of your feet. Rolling was optional since the fence was only as tall as him.
Passing through the first obstacle, the red head shut it off, without banging it of course. No need to get all the attention in the abandoned theme park when you don't need it, even if you're confident as hell. Kostya though, the sly ghost pokemon just allowed his gaseous body to pass through the holes of the wires and reform soon enough just next to Laz. Laz might not understand poke speak but he knew his partner enough to know what that look meant.
"Heh, you think you're so cool just cause you can phase through things? No wonder you're never Stylish." Laz taunted with a smug smile on his face as he referenced Devil May Cry and it's main character. Kostya just gave a narrowed look at his trainer mouthing a few words that more or less meant 'Hmph.'
Readying himself, the red head was gonna up stage his own pokemon just cause he wanted to. He was near by the wharf so the cold air was increasing. Damn the convection cycle and it's useful effects on a fight if you knew how to do it. Warming up a bit, Laz began to jog before going on a full sprint towards the edges.
A rickety old bench, Laz jumps over it without the help of his hands and pretty much reaches the other side before being faced with a carousel. With a smirk, the red head turned to his side and grabbed one of the iron poles. As rusty as it was, it still held his weight as he kicked off the main cylinder and leaping over a horse. Running still, the red head was pretty much out of obstacles to face as he reached the Wharf where his Gengar was already waiting.
Looking over the beach, the red head smiled. There was a really nice breeze here, nice enough that the red head might visit again.

Speedy gently stretched upon his blanket, taking in a deep yawn of boredom mixed with actual tiredness. A small gust of wind kicked up some sand just as he was yawn. Meaning he got a lung full of sand. He sat up immediately, coughing wildly. Apache looked over towards his trainer putting a colorful wind around him making sure he was okay. "I'm fine Apache. Just a little bit of sand." Once the coughing seemed to finally cease, he took in another breath. Well, there seemed to be nothing around here. About time to pack up and head home. He was just about to get up and prepare to leave whenever he suddenly heard the pitter patter of someone running. "Hmm?" He mused, looking around. He looked towards the Amusement park, the sound seemed to be resonating from there.
A boy with read hair was running all over the rotting wooden planks, Parkouring to his heart's desire. Speedy already knew who it was by his red hair. Obviously it was Laz, as well he was the only person whom willingly partakes in Parkour. He watched him a little longer before gently shaking his head. "Hmph, Show Off." That's what his mouth said, but secretly inside of his own head he still looked up to Laz, and still wanted to be just like him. Although it was doubtful to happen.
Well this is exactly what Speedy was looking for, something of a challenge. With his newly evolved pokemon he would finally be able to try out all of their abilities against someone whom of greater skill. Also, him and Laz haven't trained with each other for a while. Might as well catch up on some things right? "Apache, can you fly me up there?" Apache gave a Skeptical look as if Asking if he REALLY just asked that. Yeah, guess it was kind of dumb. "Return Daisy, Blackstar, Spike, Ryohei, Zarbon." He muttered the thin red beam of light returning each and everyone one to their designated pokeball.
While Speedy was returning his pokemon, Apache was preparing himself for flight, warming up his wings by stretching them out. His trainer picked up his shirt threw it on, and hopped on the big bird's back. As soon as he felt his trainer grab hold of his feather's he was off, large and powerful taking wing into the sky. God! How he loved being evolved! His trainer told him he would enjoy it, and boy was he NOT kidding. Apache loved it indeed. When the two reached the Park, his trainer crawled farther up his back, looking over the side. It wasn't hard to tell that he was amazed that he was really flying. He turned towards the boy with red head and called out. "OI! Show off! How about a Training Session real quick? I could use a sparring partner."

"Kostya, Rain Dance."
Laz smiled deviously as he saw a Braviary coming his way. The massive bird like pokemon soared through the skies on its mighty wings. The dark purpleish blue feathers below the crimson hued ones riveted by the wind as a couple of feathers fell off. But that wasn't what Laz was sneering at with a confident smirk on his face.
As the rumbling of thunder began to echo louder and louder above the wharf, the weather conditions had began to look disastrous. As Kostya simply waved his finger around in a swirling motion, very much like how the clouds were converging now, the Gengars Rain Dance creating a sharp stabbing pain with how forceful the first few drops began to fall.
Kostya then stopped the swirling of the air with his finger as he placed his left hand down and placed it behind his back, together with his right as he calmly watched the bird fly over head. The seas though, it had began to increase in intensity as more and more waves began crashing near the wharf, soaking the edges of the planks in water and the general area north to the red head's position.
"Oi! Get your ass down there before I have Kostya fire a Thunder!"
Laz shouted as he cupped his hands around his mouth to allow his sentence to echo. He was really gonna have his Gengar fire a Thunder in this conditions if the trainer wasn't gonna head down and knowing how things worked, this Thunder was gonna hit if he aimed it. But just to have some fun, the red head pretty much gave the Gengar the go signal.
With a dangerous smirk and a narrowed pair of eyes, the ghostly embodiment called forth power from the skies as lightning came down crashing. The soundless attack being accompanied by the booming echo of Thunder zoomed down towards the supposed enemy for the time being. But with control, the Gengar made his attack miss intentionally, even if it was only a meter away from the center of the Braviary. As it was, that was a pretty close shave.
"See what I mean?"
Laz hollered with a laugh as he allowed his pokemon to have some of his own fun. The fight hasn't really started yet but scare tactics never ended. When Speedy would decide to finally go down to meet him face to face, the red head would agree to the battle.
"What kind of fight do you want? 3 on 3 or 6 on 6? Or if you wanna try something else, we can have all our pokemon out and just go from there."
Laz asked, giving out options to his opponent and acquaintance as he fixed the hoodie on his jacket. Pulling it up to save him from the weather that his own pokemon caused, the red head was rather amused by the fact on how the shadows casted by the hoodie would hide majority of the features of his face and only left his smirk to be shown. Looking up, the red head was more or less looking forward to have another battle.

Speedy looked upwards as the red head commanded his Gengar to use Rain Dance. As a heavy rain began to suddenly fill the field, soaking both the trainer and the pokemon to the bone. Hmph, Show off. It oddly seemed that the Gengar was fairly enjoying itself, bending the wills of mother nature to it's will before innocently placing it's hands behind it's back as if nothing really happened. The trainer gently stared at the Gengar, looking deep into his mind all the way back to Kanto. Gengar, the fully evolved Ghost Pokemon of Ghastly. High in Special Attack but low in speed. The only other thing that rivals it is Alakazam, for it's higher speed. Odd though, he didn't learn Rain Dance by level up. He must have been taunt it by Laz, Via TM. mental Note to self, visit the TM shop after this battle. Check out a few TMs, and be that much closer to being super special awesome.
As the trainer listened further to the boy, he felt somewhat insulted. Here, he was proposing a battle, and his opponent was threatening him before the battle even began, hmph, talk about bad sportsmanship. It's almost like you poison someone right before you fight them. Gives you the winning edge. Ehh didn't matter much any way, knowing Laz he was going to rip Speedy a new one. Just like he did time and time again. But it didn't matter much to him, he still like training with Laz even if he did have no chance of actually winning. Maybe he would someday... maybe he would someday.
"Well unless you want to get shocked I suggest you listen to the boy." He muttered playfully in Apache's ear. Just then, a Thunder attack zinged right past the two, nearing hitting on of Apache's wings. "Asshole! I'm still up here you know! I could have died because of that!" The Thunder struck against the wooden planks of the Theme Park, lighting up a quick fire before it was instantly winked out due to the rain. Poor Fire, never had a chance.
Before the boy could make any other ideal threats upon his life, both Apache and Speedy quickly flew down at the Theme Park alighting upon the rotting planks. Speedy hopped off and patted Apache on his side. "Excellent Job Apache, Very nice work." He muttered, Apache in turn enjoyed being patted. The trainer finally turned to the Red Head, "That was dirty you know. Firing upon your Opponent before the battle even begun."

"The Battle Never Ends, Speedy. Everything you do affects how the tides will turn."
Laz said, in a strangely philosophical way before giving a rather character fitting grin as he gave his Gengar a pat on the head. And as much as Kostya wanted to hide it, enjoyed the show of affection. It's been some time since the last time he was treated like that, he fondly remembered only being a wittle Gastly the last time it happened.
Regardless now, this person, as the Gengar had yet to actually acknowledge the person being worthy of a name, was more or less going to be their sparring partner. And if the pokemon that he managed to oversee while he was waiting for his show off of a trainer said anything, he was pretty confident with the odds.
Moving back a few paces, the red head got himself ready as he reached to pull out a few more pokeballs from his belt, eyeing his enemy as he did so.
"You starting with Apache or what?"

"The Battle Never Ends, Speedy. Everything you do affects how the tides will turn."
Speedy raised a brow. Hmmm What was with Laz? He was getting all sentimental and wise and stuff. Oddly this wasn't a norm for Laz. Or at least he never saw this side of him. Maybe he was changing, or perhaps he was like this all along, and just never saw this side of him. Didn't matter much, the trainer didn't really mind if Laz really was a philosopher in disguise. He was still a trainer, and naturally trainers had to battle. Even if they were completely out of each others league.
Following Laz's Example, Speedy also backed up a few paces. Allowing the two pokemon plenty of room to move without fear of striking the trainers. While Laz pulled out a few pokeballs keeping them in his hand, Speedy left his own pokemon in their pokeballs in his belt. He will call upon them in due time. Although it was questionable how many would exactly be happy with him for fighting against Lazarus... again.
The Braviary stared at Gengar, this pokemon was one that helped him train in his flight abilities. But that was back when he was a younger Rufflet, now he is an adult Braviary. Although, that Thunder attack did indeed look kind of nasty. "In fact, yes. I will start out with Apache, and I shall take the first move. Apache Whirlwind." Just as his trainer commanded, Apache suddenly stretched his wings to the full extent, flapping them as hard as he could. Creating a powerful Whirlwind, forcing the Gengar to take shelter inside of his own pokeball.
