Striding directly into the laboratory, Eric did not pause for the door, pushing it open right ahead of him. He looked around for the instructor quickly. "Hello? Anybody in here?" He paused for a moment. "Lucy, I'm home!" Having become bored right after that, he just decided to stand there. Until he noticed the tester or whoever the tester was noticed him. Eric was quite surprised at the short trip, and quite happy. Not much difficulty in getting to an island for a hydrophobic. Still, the amount of water was... Unsettling. It was all around.
For a moment, he wondered what Pokemon type he would be given. Oh no! No Water Pokemon! Please! Eric would not be able to barely approach it! He would have to, but really, he would make sure it aimed its attacks the other way. He hoped his pokemon was anything but Water type, that would be greatly relieving. Besides, there was always the possibility none of hte testers would be in today. Bored again, Eric was humming the bridal march, whatever it was actually called.

It was quick that a giggle sounded. Teachers fighting. That had to be amusing. He wondered who this woman was. Although she seemed entitled to say this. Eric looked at the three pokeballs with a determined expression on his face. Then, his grin to his ears, he deftly picked one of the pokeballs at random. Pressing the tiny button on it, he waited as it expanded before releasing the dog pokemon from it. "Aw, aren't you just so cute!" Looking at the woman, he smiled. "Thanks!" Carefully taking the yellow belt, he mumbled aloud about cute pokemon and bright colors, looking at the Poochyena. One of the intelligible words seemed to be a considered "Fluffy" for the Pokemon's nickname, and lost to consideration. Oh! "May I go now, ma'am?"
